Chapter 10: Total Concentration Training

With gusto Yua bit into the Onigiri Ema and her little friends had brought her and Tanjiro.

They all sat on the veranda of the Butterfly Mansion, taking a break from the Total Concentration Breathing training for Tanjiro.

Yua was listing how Kiyo was explaining the gourds training Shinobu had Kanao go through to strengthen her lungs.

You could see in Tanjiro's face that he was disbelieving that someone petite like Kanao could make them explode and he nearly fell from the veranda seeing which big gourd Kanao could now make explode.

The midnight blue-haired beauty gulped down her last bit of Onigiri with the Green Tea the girls had made for them.

“You want to have a demonstration?”, asked Yua. “My family uses the same method I can make it explode too.”

“Really Yua-Senpai?!”

“You don’t have to shout in disbelief Kamado.”, deadpanned Yua.

What? Was he more shocked or didn’t he think she could do it?

But what she knew of Tanjiro he was probably only in shock.

“Girls, is it okay, if I take on the big gourd?”, she asked for permission.

All four cute girls nodded with a smile.

So Yua stood up, holding the big gourd and blowing into it.

After a few seconds, it explodes!

Everybody was in awe and Tanjiro, this time, tumbled from the veranda.

“Lady Yua is amazing!”, shouted the girls.

The older girl winked at them, which made them giggle.

Tanjiro sat back at the veranda.

“That was amazing, Yua-Senpai!”, he yelled “I’ll give it my all!”

“You do that, so back to training!”

“Yes, Yua-Senpai!”

“You can do it Master Tanjiro!”, cheered the four little girls him on.

The two Demon Slayers made their way back into the courtyard, while the four girls cleaned up.

“Alright Kamado, we already established that you can’t do Total Concentration for long.”, began Yua.

He nodded disappointed at himself.

“So I will show you some breathing exercises and a little trick to expand the volume of your lungs.”

“Yes, Yua-Senpai!”, he raised his arm into the air like he was in school. “Can I ask what this trick is?”

Now Yua smiled cheekily.

She was curious how he would take it.

“Do you ever wonder why I sing so much?”

“Because you like it and are amazing at it!”

“Charmer, but...singing expands your lunge volume.”

The red-haired boy blinked at her with his pretty (no, not pretty they are normal red eyes!) red eyes, till he made a shocked face.

“WHAT?! REALLY?!”

“Indeed.”, she walked over to him and threw a playful arm around his shoulders. Tanjiro blushed being so close to his crush, not that Yua took note. “Now my little songbird let me hear your voice!”

***

For 15 days not only participated Tanjiro and Yua in the rehabilitation training, but they also trained together to expand Tanjiro's lunge volume and keep his Total Concentration Breathing going.

At first, Tanjiro was a bit shy learning to sing from Yua, but his Senpai made clear that shyness would only obstacle him in becoming better.

So he woman up, like Yua-Senpai liked to say, and sang with her together.

She taught him songs he never heard of, however, she didn’t tell him who taught her them. The smell of hurt and longing always came from her when he asked.

So he stopped.

He never wanted to make her feel bad.

After singing, they parkour all around the Mansion and garden, playing catch with each other.

Yua-Senpai was as fast as Kanao, he could barely catch her.

And she got only faster with each passing day they trained.

The training not only helped him to get stronger but her also.

“Bust your borders and go beyond them!”, told him Yua-Senpai any day.

It was the motto of her family.

A Mochizuki had to be the best of the best to not raise any suspicions in the hearts of their Demon Slayer comrades.

She told him this ten days after they had started to train together.

They were sitting on the veranda, again eating and drinking Onigiri and Green Tea, the little girls had prepared for them and had talked about nothing and all.

As he had told her how amazing he thought she was, because she only seemed to get stronger with each day, that he barely could catch up, this sentence had fallen.

It had been still for a few seconds between them.

Tanjiro smelled how Yua-Senpai felt unsure, battling with herself before she said quietly: “Even after 500 years of loyalty to the corps...anybody expects us to change sides and become swordsmen under the Demon King. And all this is why we still practice Moon-Breathing learned from the traitor Tsugikuni Michikatsu. It’s a pain.”

Tired she bit into her Onigiri.

Now Tanjiro was battling with himself. He wanted to ask her this the whole time, however, he was scared it was not his place to ask.

Yua-Senpai decided for him.

“I can see how chaotic and worried your Aura is, just spit it out, Kamado.”

“Why does your family still practice this breathing style if it only brings you pain?”

Thoughtful Yua-Senpai looked at the setting sun, making her look breathtaking. She was so beautiful. Tanjiro's heart could nearly not take it.

“The founder of our family, Mochizuki Meiyo was a prideful man they said. After his master deserted the corps he wanted to show that he could still be trusted...But I think my ancestor didn’t want to give up the power Moon-Breathing gives you. It IS the most powerful one in the whole corps. My family has the highest kill count of Lower Moons and we even killed three Upper Moons, the last 113 years ago.”

“And yet there had been no Moon Hashira, right?”, he whispered.

“Not after Tsugikuni Michikatsu.”, signed Yua-Senpai, crossing her arms. “My father told me the day I started to learn Moon-Breathing, that we are practically the attack dogs of the Corps. We are good enough to kill the demons, but we can’t be trusted with a position of power. No one cares how many of my family have fallen in battle against the Demon Lords 12 Moons or how they got so wounded they could never take a sword into their hands again. Being a Mochizuki is a hard destiny....”

In silence, they watched how the moon was rising in the sky.

“I care.”, said Tanjiro quietly to his Senpai.

She turned with a raised eyebrow to him.

Before he could chicken out he took one of her hands in his and squeezed it.

“Your family has been wronged for a long time, but Yua-Senpai, people who know you and your family truly know that you are all great people. I know you will become a Hashira and show anyone that the Mochizuki are an honourable and loyal family!”

Yua-Senpai hand in his felt clammy and he smelled how she was going through a lot of different emotions in seconds.

It was hard to keep track, however, he smelled thankfulness and bashfulness.

More softly than he had thought Yua-Senpai took her hand back and stood up.

“Enough with the mushy stuff, Kama...Tanjiro-San. We still can train more before dinner.”

Did...did he hear right?!

Did Yua-Senpai call him by his first name?!

Tanjiro felt how hot his cheeks got and that his heart nearly leapt out of his chest.

His crush didn’t seem to take note and if she did, she didn’t show it.

“Come on, catch me!”

With that, she ran away.

He ran after her a second later.

If...if it had to be like this...If he had to chase her forever, he would do it.

Now he was the moon chasing constantly after his sun...Yua.

Only the moon saw the sweet little smile on Yua's lips as she let Tanjiro chase after her.

After this heart-to-heart, they both opened up a bit more to each other.

When they were all alone Yua started to call him Tanjiro and he also dropped then the Senpai.

It was nice.

More than nice.

An amazing friendship was forming between them.

And maybe....someday more?

***

More days passed.

Yua and Tanjiro got stronger, the boy could now nearly catch Kanao and Yua.

He managed to destroy the first gourd level without problems, making the little four girls cheer and Yua give him a thumbs up.

Unknown to them Zenitsu and Inosuke had all seen this and it seemed like they understood that they were in the wrong with their slacking off.

In disbelief, Yua looked at how the two talked with Shinobu about what she and Tanjiro were doing.

The Insect Hashira explains to them the Total Concentration Perpetum and then the two try it out, failing miserably.

The Kinoto felt a bit sorry for Inosuke, but seeing Zenitsu on the ground brought her glee. Finally, some payback for all the whining she had to endure!

After they were okay again, they sat down with her and Tanjiro and asked them for help.

"I still can’t sustain Total Concentration Breathing all day unless I throw myself into it, but I bet you two can do it!", encouraged Tanjiro. He made some funny movements with his arms, which earned him a raised eyebrow from Yua. "You just go like this to make your lungs expand! When that rattles your blood, your bones and muscles will go “Boom, boom”, and you gotta stop it!"

Inosuke and Zenitsu looked at him depressed.

"All that’s left to do is train like crazy!"

More depression and vigorous headshakes.

Yua deadpanned at them.

"If you act like this I won't tell you my family exercises for the lungs and our secret trick to extend the lunge volume."

They had the gall to groan at her.

An angry mark formed on the midnight blue-haired girl head and she was ready to hit them both when she felt Tanjior taking one of her hands and Shinobu laying one of her hands on her shoulder and Tanjiro's.

Blushing she looked up at the Insect Hashira. She saw from the side that Tanjiro was blushing also.

In Yua's case, she was blushing because a handsome boy (okay, she admitted it finally) and a beautiful woman were touching her.

She never preferred one sex over another, so she felt all warm and tingly.

"Now, now.", tutted Shinobu. " We’re talking about a basic skill, or should I say a beginner skill, so why wouldn’t you be able to do it? But it’s also true that one must put great effort into mastering it, right?"

Shinobu then let go of Yua and Tanjiro to sit before Inosuke petting his shoulder.

"Well, why wouldn’t you be able to do it, though? I was sure it would be child’s play for you, Inosuke. Are you sure you can’t do it? Even though there’s no reason you can’t do it? It can’t be helped, then, if you can’t do it. Can’t be helped, can’t be helped."

That pissed Inosuke so off that he treated to rip off her breasts!

Yua made a face and thought to herself: not such an awesome pair! What a waste, that would be.

The Hashira then walked to Zenisto taking his hand. Already the blond started to turn an alarming shade of red and rattling like a teakettle.

"Please give it your all, Zenitsu! I’m your biggest cheerleader!"

He was now full teakettle mode and shouted a yes ma'am, while Yua deadpanned at him and Tanjiro was in disbelief.

Well, at least they joined the training.

As Yua did with Tanjiro she showed them her family breathing exercises and then it was time to sing.

Inosuke was hollering more than singing, but Zenitsu...Zenistsu!

For a second as Yua heard how lovely Zenitsu could sing, hitting all the notes right, after one-time listing, she could image some girl falling in love with him, if he sang to her.

Then she realized what she had thought and wanted to take a bath.

The rest of the day following the four Demon Slayers trained together, they all got stronger and better.

One day came to the two swordsmiths who had forged for Tanjiro and Inosuke Katanas and at dinner, Zenitsu and Yua listened to how they were nearly killed by the smiths because Tanjiro dared to destroy his blade and Inosuke changed his with a stone.

Finally, the day arrived when Tanjiro beat Kanao at training.

He celebrates his win with the four little girls, Yua claps for him, while Inosuke and Zenitsu decide to train even more.

Yua, herself noted, how strong she had become. For her, it was no problem anymore to beat Kanao.

The others couldn't catch her even if they tried.

She felt it in her gut.

She was at Hashira-Level.

It was... alright.

Strange...now that her goal of becoming a Hashira was closer than ever, Yua didn't feel as excited as she imagined when she started to train to become a Demon Slayer.

Maybe she was bitter from all the years she had to endure her grandfather's disappointment and the lack of recognition from the Corps.

Would they even let her rise to Hashira?

Uncle Noritaka had nearly become one, but it didn't mean it they would let her.

Somehow she had a feeling that her Uncle with his refusal to take the position destroyed any chance for his other family members to become one.

Or she was paranoid.

It was then that Kaguya flowed into the Butterfly Mansion with a letter from home for her.

Oh, that was fast and good.

After Tanjiro had talked with Shinobu and didn't get any new information on the Hinokami Kagura Dance, she wrote home to ask if someone could look it up in their archives.

Kaguya nuzzled her, while she read the letter.

Her father had answered her.

When she  finished it, she signed.

She should have imagined it!

So she made her way out to the courtyard where the boys were still training.

"Hey guys!", she called and they turned to her. "Tanjiro remember how we talked about if there is something about the Hinokami Kagura Dance in my family archives? My father found something, but my grandfather didn't allow him to let the information out. So....wanna join me to go to my home?"

Chapter 7: The First C-Rank

“I’m sorry, I’m late!”, hollered Obito as he ran towards his team standing at the gate of Konoha. “An old lady needed help-”

“Just stop with your excuses.”, told him Kakashi simply.

Minato-Sensei shook his head at him. “Obito, we need to work on your punctuality.”

The Uchiha whined and looked at his two female teammates. Rin gave him a small smile, which made him happy, while Kohana just deadpanned at him.

“Obito you are even late for our first mission out of the village, weren’t you all excited about it yesterday?”, the Haruno wondered.

Obito sighed and rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "I know, I know. I messed up. I'll do better next time, I promise."

Minato-Sensei nodded, but his expression was serious. "We can't afford to have any more delays, especially on a mission like this."

Rin spoke up, her voice gentle. "It's okay, Obito. We all make mistakes sometimes."

"Next time, I gonna pick you up. Maybe then you won’t be tardy.”, promised Kohana.

Kakashi remained quiet, but the disapproving look on his face said enough.

“That is a good idea Kohana-Chan.”, said Minato-Sensei. “If one of you would pick up Obito for missions till he fixes his tardiness problem would be great.”

“I’m not a baby...”, mumbled Obito a bit offended. He just liked helping people, was not his fault that it took often time to do so.

The Hatake's disapproving look got denser.

“Then stop acting like one.”

“What did you say Bakashi?!”

“Guys, stop!”, shouted the girls together.

They didn’t need a fight broke out.

“Children, I know you are all high on nerves, calm all down.”, told Minato-Sensei.

The four Genin chorused a Yes Sensei together.

It was also nerves that made them lash out at each other.

This was their first C-Rank Mission!

Even out of a Konoha!

And it would help the war effort!

It was nerve-wracking.

“Let’s get over the mission details again before we go.”, said Minato-Sensei. “Bandit- Camp has made their home on the Konoha border. They disturb our supply line and even manage to steal some precious cargo. Our job is to eliminate the threat. It means you all will probably kill for the first time in your life. Are you ready?”

Obito nodded, a determined look on his face. "I'm ready, sensei."

Rin took a deep breath and nodded as well. "I'll do whatever it takes to protect my village."

Kohana stroked with one hand her armguard.

This was it.

Today she would kill for the first time with the Hidden Blade.

Today it would show if the lessons she learned in the academy about being a Ninja and the lessons she learned from Sakuya’s diary about being an assasin she truly learned.

That she was indeed a ninja/assassin.

“I’m ready, Minato-Sensei.”

Kakashi simply gave a small nod, but there was a glint in his eye that showed he was ready for action.

Minato-Sensei smiled at them, his team, proud of their determination and bravery. "Alright then, let's go take care of those bandits and protect our village!"

The team made their way towards the Konoha border, keeping a keen eye out for any signs of the bandit camp.

As they walked, Konoha couldn't help but feel a little anxious about what was to come.

Killing someone was something that was part of the ninja and also the assasin way of life.

Some treats, people, didn’t see reason and could be only taken care of this way.

It was far from perfect, but in their line of work, it was kill or be killed.

Especially now in wartimes.

And if Konoha had to choose her life and the lives of her team against some bandits, she would always pick the first option.

Rin noticed her unease and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "It's okay to be scared, Kohana-Chan," she said softly. "But we're all in this together."

Obito chimed in, his voice confident and unwavering. "We've trained for this moment, we know what we're doing."

Kakashi remained silent as usual, but the others could sense his readiness to take action at any moment.

Finally, they reached the outskirts of the bandit camp and took cover behind some trees to observe their surroundings.

Minato-Sensei whispered instructions to his team, outlining their plan of attack and assigning roles to each member.

Obito was tasked with creating a diversion using his fire jutsu while Konoha and Rin snuck around the back of the camp to take out any guards there. Kakashi and himself would lead the charge straight through the front entrance.

With a nod from Minato-Sensei, they sprang into action.

As planned, Obito created a fiery distraction that drew most of the bandits away from their posts.

Kohana and Rin swiftly took out any remaining guards at the back of the camp.

As her Hidden Blade sunk into the guard's neck, the Haruno felt uneasy, but it was a quick death. The bandit didn’t suffer.

She would think about this when his death would haunt her.

The girls hide the bodies in some bushes and Konoha says for the first time in her life the words assasin spoke when they killed a target: “Requiescat in pace.”

Surprised Rin looked over her.

“Konoha-Chan.”, she whispered. “What kind of language was that? I never heard it.”

This made Konoha frown.

It was a different language?

For her, it was natural to speak it.

Strange that she never picked it up.

“It’s a language my ancestors spoke.”, she explained to Rin. “You say it after you kill. It means Rest in Peace.”

The brunette nodded.

“I guess this is a good way to elebaeret this death. I mean, I’m still under adrenaline, but I will probably cry after I realise what I just did. Killing is never fun. Even if they are our enemies we can wish them to Rest in Peace.”

Now the green-haired girl nodded.

“You are right, Rin-Chan.”

After Rin wished her kill a Rest in Peace, the girl joined Kakashi and Minato-Sensei in charging headfirst through the front entrance.

The bandits were caught off guard by their sudden attack and were quickly overpowered by them.

Within minutes, they had eliminated all threats and secured any stolen cargo that had been taken from Konoha's supply lines.

Exhausted but triumphant, they made their way back towards Konoha with pride in their hearts knowing that they had protected their village once again from harm's way.

As they walked back home under the setting sun, Konoha couldn't help but reflect on how much she had grown since becoming a Genin just a few short weeks ago.

She knew that there would be more challenges ahead of her in her journey as a ninja and assasin but felt confident knowing that she had a fantastic team by her side every step of the way who would always have her back no matter what came their way!

They arrived back at Konoha, exhausted but triumphant, with the stolen cargo secured.

As they made their way to the Hokage Tower was then that it sank in what the four Genin did.

Konoha threw up, Rin started to cry hysterically, and Obito fell down to the ground hyperventilating, only Kakashi seemed calm, but his tight fist spoke another language.

They had just killed people.

It was something that they knew might happen in their line of work, but doing it was a different story.

Konoha couldn't shake off the feeling of unease and guilt that washed over her. She wondered if this was what being an assassin meant - taking lives without remorse or hesitation.

Rin's tears and Obito's panic attack clearly indicated that they were struggling with what they had just done.

Even Kakashi's clenched fist spoke volumes about his inner turmoil.

“It’s okay kids, come here.”, Minato-Sensei cooed at at.

The Haruno didn’t know how he did it, but Minato-Sensei managed to hug all of them to himself and whisper comforting words to them.

She gripped his flack jacket, crying in it in earnest. Rin and Obito joined her with their wails.

“It will never be easy, killing is never easy.”, shared Minato-Sensei with them. “But with time you learn to better elaborate it. But never lose the respect of the lives you take. That makes us human. If killing would be easy, we would be monsters.”

The team nodded in agreement, feeling comforted by Minato-Sensei's words.

They knew that what they had done was necessary to protect their village and loved ones, but it didn't make it any easier to cope with the aftermath.

As they started again to walk towards the Hokage Tower, Konoha couldn't help but feel grateful for her amazing team who had supported her through this difficult experience.

They may have taken lives, but they had done it to protect their village and its people.

It was a necessary evil, yet one that came at a great cost.

***

Nothing is True.

Everything is permitted.

This is the central credo of the Assassin Brotherhood.

But what does it mean?

Well, my great-great-I-don’t-know-many-times-uncle the legendary Ezio Auditore, Mentor of the Italien Brotherhood once explained it like this: To say that nothing is true is to realize that the foundations of society are fragile and that we must be the shepherds of our civilization. To say that everything is permitted is to understand that we are the architects of our actions and that we must live with their consequences, whether glorious or tragic.

I always repeat this to myself after every kill I have done and have to do.

Those who choose the assasin way of life must realise what responsibility it is.

Not only do we decide if someone should be allowed to live, but we have also to protect the peace.

A paradox, isn’t it?

But all our lives are made out of paradoxes.

How can we want peace if we kill?

We want peace because we believe that every life is precious.

We kill only when it is necessary to protect the innocent and preserve the greater good.

This is the burden of being an assassin, to carry the weight of life and death on our shoulders.

It is not a choice for the faint of heart, but for those who are willing to make the hard decisions when no one else can.

We are not murderers, but guardians of humanity.

And in this way, we live by the creed: Nothing is true, everything is permitted.

***

With a deep shuddering breath Konoha hugged the dairy of Sakuya to her chest.

The written words of her ancestor gave her the calm of mind she so desperately needed.

She knew that being an assassin was not an easy path to take, but it was one that she had chosen for herself.

The burden of taking lives weighed heavily on her shoulders, however, she was reminded that it was necessary to protect those she loved and cared for.

As she closed Sakuya's diary and looked up at the stars, Konoha couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in herself and her team.

They had faced their fears and conquered them together, and in doing so, they had protected their village from harm's way.

It was a difficult journey ahead of them, yet Konoha felt confident knowing that they would face it together as a team.

It was then that she saw someone she knew pass by her house, seeming deep in thought.

“Obito?”, she mumbled to herself.

Shouldn’t he be in bed, well like herself?

What was he doing out this late walking the village streets?

Konoha didn’t think long, gripped a jacket she could put over her nightgown and put her ninja shoes on. Silent as she could she opened her window and then jumped down the street.

“Obito.”, she called out softly to him. “Are you okay?”

Suprised Obito turned to her.

“Huh, Konoha-Chan? What are you doing here?”

“Here is my house. The question is what are you doing out so late and far away from the Uchiha District.”

Obito looked down at his feet, a pained expression on his face.

"I couldn't sleep," he admitted. "The weight of what we did today is just too much to bear."

Konoha nodded in understanding, placing a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"I know how you feel," she said softly. "But we have to remember that what we did was necessary to protect our village and its people."

Obito looked up at her, gratitude in his eyes. "Thank you, Konoha-Cha. It's good to know that I'm not alone in feeling this way."

Konoha smiled back at him, feeling a sense of camaraderie between them.

They may have taken lives today, but they had done it together as a team and had each other's backs through the aftermath.

"Come on," she said, gesturing towards the Uchiha District. "Let's get some rest before tomorrow's mission."

Cutely Obito turned red.

“I’m not a little girl, I can walk alone.”

“Are you implying, girls are weak.”

Konoha's voice promised pain if he said the wrong thing, that Obito could hear loud and clear.

The Uchiha quickly backtracked, realizing his mistake.

"No, no, of course not! I didn't mean it like that," he said, flustered. "I just meant that I don't want to be a burden on you."

Konoha chuckled, shaking her head. "You're not a burden, Obito. We're a team and we stick together through thick and thin."

With that settled, they walked back towards the Uchiha District together, chatting about nothing and all.

It was calm and peaceful.

The moon shone down on them.

Did Konoha say that it was quite romantic?

She did feel a bit flustered to walk with her crush to his home.

“The moon is beautiful, isn’t it?”, she heard herself say to Obito.

What the heck?!

When did she get so daring?!

Everybody and their mother know that this was a code for: I love you!

And she just said it to Obito!

Obito looked up at the moon, a small smile on his face.

"Yeah, it is," he said softly. "I used to come out here and watch it with Rin when we were younger."

OF COURSE!

What else did she expect?

He would take it literally and not think about the hidden meaning.

Konoha felt a pang of jealousy at the mention of Rin's name but quickly pushed it aside. She was happy that Obito had someone he could share moments like this with.

"Maybe we can all watch it together sometime," she suggested, trying to keep her voice casual.

Obito turned to her, surprise written all over his face. "Really? You'd want to do that?"

Konoha nodded, feeling a blush creeping up her cheeks. "Sure, why not? We're friends and teammates after all."

Obito smiled back at her, a warmth in his eyes that made Konoha's heart skip a beat.

"Thanks, Konoha-Chan," he said gratefully. "That means a lot to me."

As they reached the entrance of the Uchiha District, Konoha bid Obito goodnight and watched as he disappeared into his house.

She couldn't help but feel grateful for their friendship and hopeful for what the future might hold for them both as ninjas and as friends....

Yeah, right.

“Uchiha Obito you are so stupid!”, she hissed quietly and had to stop the tears that sprung into her eyes.

Dear Kami, what does she need to do when Obito finally takes note of her?!

As she walked back to her house, Konoha couldn't help but feel a sense of longing in her heart.

She had always admired Obito from afar, yet it seemed like he only saw her as a teammate/friend and nothing more.

She knew that being a ninja/assassin meant sacrificing personal relationships for the greater good, however, it didn't make it any easier to bear.

The Haruno sighed heavily and entered her house, ready to rest before their next mission.

While she lay in bed, unable to sleep, she couldn't help but wonder if there was a way to balance her duty as an assassin and her desire for love and companionship.

Perhaps one day she would find the answer.

“Carina, you need to get under people or you gonna die an old virgin.”

“When I die, I will take some Templars with me, Rebecca. I have not exactly planned to die peacefully.”

“Still, you only read fanfictions, you know what I mean and that’s not healthy.”

“And coming from our computer expert it must be true. Why don’t you check the Animus again, Desmond seems a bit unwell.”

“Haha, so funny. All is good with my baby.”

“Girls, what are you discussing?”

“Sorry, Lucy, Bec wants me to go out with some guy she knows, but I don’t think it the time for it.”

“We will not stay hidden here away from ABSTERGO forever, I’m just planning for the future.”

“Bec’s leave Cari alone, okay? She knows what is best for her.”

“You are only on her side because you have a crush on her, Lucy since Cari is a real-life Auditore!”

“That’s not true, Rebecca. I just think it’s important for Carina to focus on her safety and well-being before worrying about romantic relationships.”

“Well, I think it’s important for all of us to have some fun and enjoy life while we still can. But don’t worry, Carina. If you’re not interested in my friend, I won’t force you.”

Carina made it clear again that she was fine the way she was.

Besides they had to first save the world and well, her dream man was fictional.

No one could reach Obito Uchiha’s level.

***

“So...”

“Yes, Mito?”

“Uchiha. Uchiha Madara?”

“Are you judging me, my friend?”

“A tiny bit.”

“Mito!”

“Don’t use that tone on me Sakuya. I mean there are Uchiha’s who are not so...intense then Madara.”

“Love finds you in the strangest of places or what is with you and Hashirama? Hashi is my friend but he is a blubbering mess.”

“I...I have nothing to say against it.”

“Pardon, ladies, I didn’t think this room was occupied.”

“Tobirama, good! Tell Sakuya that her liaison with Madara is...erm...”

“A horrible decision? Yes, it is.”

“Tobirama, I thought you were my friend!”

“And as your friend I have to ask, have you lost your mind Sakuya? Madara is the worst of the Uchiha Clan. Why do t you go out with Kagami's father?”

“The man is married?”

“Polyamory is not frowned upon in the Uchiha-Clan.”

“You are joking, Tobirama.”

“I’m not joking, Sakuya. And besides, Kagami's father is a much better match for you than Madara ever could be.”

“I’ll...I’ll think about it.”

To hell with thinking about it.

Sakuya loved Madara and Madara loved her.

When she was Carina she never thought of finding love and then even in Madara Uchiha!

She was an Obito-Fangirl, but truly getting to know Madara had changed her.

The Mito/assassin was sure she could change the future and build a life with Madara.

***

Konoha opened her eyes and blinked up at her room ceiling.

What the heck?

Did...did she just live out the love life of Carina/Sakuya?

What was this supposed to mean?

Her ancestor from another world had loved Obito too, but then when she met Madara for real, she truly fell in love.

Wanted her brain to show Konoha how ironic it was that the descendant of Carina/Sakuya was also in love with Obito.

Konoha couldn't shake off the strange feeling that lingered in her mind.

She wondered if there was a deeper meaning to her dream.

Was it a message from her ancestor?

Or was it just a random occurrence of her subconscious mind playing tricks on her?

Or was there something more to it?

Why was she so connected to Carina/Sakuya?

It was like...like in the Animus!

Yes, the strange device from Carina's world, which lets you live out the memories of your ancestors!

And Konoha experienced it naturally?

How was this possible?

The green-haired girl had a feeling that Sakuya's diary was the answer to it, but there were so many.

It would take time to find it.

Suddenly she had an idea.

There was another source she could maybe check.

Maybe it could shine a new light on Sakuya!

Back again (A late Update)

Back Again (A Late Update)

Hi, my loves!

I'm really, really late with my announcement that I'm back from my summer break, I mean it's already November XD

I just started writing new stories again and forgot to make it XD

I have to take better care of this blog too.

So if you follow my main blog, you have seen that I started 3 Naruto FFs, 2 Final Fantasy 7, updated my Demon Slayer FF and finished To Belong and Cancelled Together, We Map the World and My War.

Yeah, I was productive.

Sadly not all my FFs have the success I wish.

For example, I really worked hard on my Final Fantasy 7 one, Anomaly, but the comments are not what I wish. -_-

To this day my most favourited, loved and commented FF is freacking Isekai'd as Chloe!

I ask how, how, this one and my others not?!

Writing is really a pain in the butt. :/

You plan other FFs out, try to be creative and new and some stupid idea you had at 3 a.m. is the boom.

I think I know how Sir Arthur Conan Doyle felt now.

Did you know he hated writing for Sherlock Holmes? After the success, he had with the first books he knew he never again would be successful with another book than with Holmes and that pissed him off.

That's why he killed him.

And then on demand of his fans made him alive again.

Isekai'd as Chloe is my Sherlock Holmes.

I can't say how much I hate this FF! I want to delete it and set fire to it because I have a feeling none of my other FFs will ever be as loved like Isekai'd as Chloe.

This makes me so angry.

Will I go down in fandom history with this Reader-Insert and my other fanworks will be just footnotes?

This makes me really sad.

And angry.

Stupid Isekai'd as Chloe!

Grr!

Okay, enough with the whining I said my bit, I will just hope for the best.

So you probably wonder what the schedule will be.

Right now I want to concentrate on Nothing is True, since I have a nice person on Ao3 who always comments and makes me happy to write.

And on Maiden of the Moon, since I'm rewatching the anime Demon Slayer ^^

I got a nice new comment for it on fanfiction.net ^^

I can't repeat myself enough times COMMENT, COMMENT, COMMENT, if you want that story to get updated!

This was all for today, I think.

Until next time, my loves!

Kill La Hero: 01

Kill La Hero: 01

In the lottery of Quirk’s Michi got on really special and annoying one. A living, sarcastic ribbon named Ares, who puts her into superpowered revealing outfits. But this won't stop the girl from fulfilling her dream of being a hero! Just watch her!

(But not too closely please!)

MHA MEETS KILL LA KILL!

Kill La Hero: 01

!!!PLEASE READ AND REVIEW!!!

So I had this random idea while I finished watching Kill La Kill (I know it’s fucked up but also really funny and entertaining) that having a super suit like Senketsu would be an awesome and funny Quirk.

So Michi and Ares were born.

This is going to be IzukuXOC Pairing, so if you don’t like it, don’t read it!

Enjoy the ride!

Also made Michi outfits!

Chapter 1: The Girl with the Ribbon

Frowning at her reflection, the female fixed her red glasses.

At least the school uniform was black.

It didn’t look horrible on her with her salmon hair colour and her red, spooky (her cousin Lina’s words) eyes.

“You don’t get prettier, looking into your Vanity Mirror, Michi.”, sassed Ares, the bain of her existence from his place on her head.

She looked up at the sentient ribbon.

He looked down.

If his speaking without a mouth, didn’t make clear he wasn’t a normal ribbon, his looks sure would. He was dark maroon, then in the middle dark pink, followed up by red eyeballs, black scalder and yellow pupils.

“And I don’t need your stupid commentary!”, she reminds him. “Especial today.”

“Why because you are going to a new school? It’s not the first time, Whirlwind. You needed to move here so your Mama could care for your grandparents. It’s not that different when you moved school because you broke someone's nose.”, he really had the gall to say.

Huffing she pulled Ares a bit. The ribbon cried out in pain.

Yes, he could feel pain.

“We are in Japan, you idiot. I’m used to moving to our city in Italy, from school to school, but here I’m a foreigner.”

“I thought Michela, La Vendetta, doesn’t care what people think of her and if they want to tease her she just punches them in the face.”, reminds Ares.

With another huff, Michela grasped her new school bag and went to the kitchen.

Did she really though this piece of cloth would get it?

“Ares.”, she tried again to explain. “In two years I will be finished with Junior High and try to get into one of the big Hero Schools. I can’t risk any more notes in my school records. I want to go to U.A. since Herakles University in Greece is now out of the question. U.A. is the best hero school in all of Japan! Only the best get in. And I intend to be one of them. If I have to play the role of demure school girl I will.”

It was still for a few seconds between them before Ares pointed out: “You have pierced ears, wear large hoop earrings, for your last birthday your parents allowed you a tattoo and your red eyes are creepy. Only your glasses make you look soft. You don’t scream innocent school girl more like Fight-Me!”

Michela could just grit her teeth together.

He wasn’t wrong.

It’s her Italian temperament that always gets her into situations where fist flies.

She wished she had gotten a bit more of the calm nature of her Japanese mother, however besides the hair colour, she came totally after her Italian father.

People never believed her when she told them she was half-Japanese.

In secret, she didn’t believe it sometimes too.

Michela loved her mother and her mother loved her, sadly they weren’t always on the same page.

Her father understood her better.

“Good morning, Michi-Chan.”, greeted her Obaa-San from the kitchen table.

Her grandparents and her father sat already, while her mother was putting the last dishes on it.

She greeted her grandparents back in Japanese, then switched to Italian to greet her parents.

Jiji-San had hearing problems, so he asked what she had said, and she repeated it.

Then she sat down and had to sign.

A traditional Japanese breakfast.

Again.

Since they moved in with her grandparents mother only cooked Japanese, since the two elders were a bit old-fashioned in the food department.

Michela or Michi here in Japan found the red eyes of her father. She saw understanding in them.

They both craved some Brioche with crema.

Father and daughter signed together.

What one endured for the ones you love.

***

Her new school, Aldera Junior High, looked straight out of an anime.

Normally she would enjoy this, but Michi was a tiny bit nervous.

She couldn’t be anymore the tough, fist-fighting girl she loved, so who the heck was she now?

A strange foreigner with a weird ribbon, she heard her schoolmates whisper as she got into the school.

An angry mark formed on her head as she changed her street shoes to indoor shoes.

Just stay calm.

Don’t start swinging.

“You are a bunch of rude kids.”, told Ares a group of a few girls and boys, who were whispering beside her.

This made the little group jump in fright. They didn’t expect that the ribbon could talk.

What Quirk was that?!

The salmon-haired girl just reached up and petted Ares.

“Ares, I don’t care.”, she told him in Italian. “You don’t have to fight my fights.”

“We fight together did you forget?”

It made her smile. When he wanted Ares could be sweet.

Her head holding high Michi walked past the gossiping people, trying to find her classroom.

She found it thankful before the school clock sounded.

“Alright, class, settle down!”, told her new teacher, her new classmates.

He looked at the paper in his hand and turned to her, who was still standing by the door.

“Massaro Michela?”

“Michi is fine, Sensei.”

“Alright, come here Michi-San.”

So she stepped beside him as he shouted into the class.

“Class meet our new student. This is Massaro Michi. She moved from Italy here. Please welcome her with open arms.”

As her mother had explained to her, she bowed in greetings.

“Please take care of me!”

Again the whispers started. Not only her, but she could also feel Ares getting annoyed about that.

“Michi-San, I’m Watanabe-Sensei, if you have a question just turn to me. Now would you like to tell us a bit about yourself?”

Tell this judgemental little bitches something about her.

Oh, she would like to start swinging, however, she got a better idea.

In her thoughts, she thanked again her older cousin Stefano for introducing her to Anime and Manga.

She had the perfect way to introduce herself.

“I’m Massaro Michi. I have no intention of telling you my likes and dislikes. As for my dream…I have a few hobbies.”

The flabbergasted faces of her classmates and the cough-disguised laugh of Watanabe-Sensei were worth it, to not play the demure school girl.

What was she thinking?

She was a rebel through and through.

So she nodded to her Sensei and picked the only free sit in the classroom.

Michi had a feeling it would be a long day.

***

Bored Michi picked at her bento box, while Ares took a nap.

It was finally lunch break and how the girl needed a break!

Here in Japan, they were way beyond the curriculum she had in Italy! It didn’t help at all that she could already speak, write and read Japanese when they were so advanced!

Her mother had insisted on learning Japanese, in the past it had been a pain in the butt, however, Michi was now glad for it.

Maybe she should forget U.A. it was too much work.

“No I shouldn’t think this way.”, she scolded herself. “All I ever wanted was to be a hero. My Quirk is a pain in the butt, but if I don’t use it for good, I would feel so bad.”

Thankful Ares was sleeping or he would hit her for calling him a pain in the butt.

Slowly Michi picked up a piece of salmon with her chopsticks to place it in her mouth when she heard it.

Something hitting someone.

This someone letting out a little quiet hurt sound.

The salmon-haired girl turned around on the bench where she sat.

What she saw made her instantly angry.

There was a small, frail-looking boy with wild green hair that reminded her of broccoli, sitting all alone on a bench, like her and behind him some punks threw paper balls at him.

Oh no, not on her watch.

Like she was fury herself she stood up and raced up to the frail boy before another paper ball hit him on the head. She caught it and threw it right back in one of the bully's faces.

“Hey, you bitchass assholes take someone of your own size!”, she growled.

The bullies were taken aback by Michi's sudden outburst and stood up to confront her.

But before they could say anything, Ares unfurled himself from Michi's hair and glared at them with his menacing red eyes.

"You really shouldn't mess with my girl," he warned, his voice low and threatening.

The bullies hesitated for a moment before backing down and slinking away.

“Thanks Ares.”

Her ribbon shrunk to its normal size.

“Anytime, Michi.”

Then Michi turned to the green-haired boy who was staring at her in shock.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

He nodded slowly, still looking a bit dazed. "Th-thank you," he stammered.

"No problem. I can't stand bullies."

“Is...is he your Quirk?”, wonders the boy shy, pointing at Ares. “I...I never saw something like that, it...it’s cool!”

“Thanks, boy!”, preened Ares, puffing himself up. “I’m quite formidable.”

“A formidable pervert.”, deadpanned Michi.

Ares may give her powers beyond imagination, yet the outfit it came in...shudder!

Her ribbon huffed, while broccoli boy titled his head in confusion.

Gosh, he was adorable.

“It’s whatever.”, waved Michi and sat down beside him. He suddenly turned so red, that he was giving competition to tomatoes. “I didn’t introduce myself I’m Massaro Michela but call me Michi, Class 1B. The ribbon on my head is Ares, he is part of my Quirk.”

It took him a while, however, the boy managed to answer her: “I’m...I’m...M-Midoriya Izuku. Class 1A.”

Strange that he didn’t tell his Quirk, but it was none of her business.

Maybe it was an embarrassing one.

She knows this kind of Quirk well.

“Sucks, that we aren’t in the same class. I would love to know already someone nice there, but we can still be friends.”

Midoriya nearly falls over the bench. Did he hear right?!

“You...You want to be my friend?”

Michi shrugged her shoulders.

“You seem way nicer than anyone I meet today. All think me a freak for Ares and because I’m from Italy. In my eyes, you are a good friend materiel.”

Midoriya couldn't believe his luck. He had been dreading lunchtime, knowing he would have to sit alone again, but now he had made a friend.

And not just any friend, but someone who was brave enough to stand up to bullies and had a cool Quirk to boot.

He felt like he had hit the jackpot.

"I'd like that," he said, smiling shyly at Michi. "I don't have many friends either."

They spent the rest of lunch chatting about this and that.

Midoriya, who became fast Izuku, was curious about Italy and the Italian Superheroes she liked.

So told him all about the amazing Seraphina, who had an Angel-Quirk.

She noted that Izuku wanted to get something out of his backpack and Ares and she encouraged him to just get it out.

It turned out Izuku had such a passion for heroes that he wrote about them in notebooks, all he could find out about them.

Michi and Ares were impressed and Izuku nearly cried that someone (A girl nonetheless! And a nice entity) didn’t mocked him for his hero studies.

On the contrary, they helped him add some things too and described Seraphina in their best quality.

Then they talked about the Japanese Heroes and both found out that they liked All Might a lot. Mirko was Michi’s favourite Japanese Hero, but she owned some All Might Merch as well.

Izuku felt in heaven (Michi was turning into a goddess in his eyes) and Michi felt herself relaxing for the first time since arriving in Japan.

Maybe this new school wouldn't be so bad after all.

They continued to chat throughout the rest of lunch and even walked back to class together.

As it was time to part Michi asked for Izuku's phone number, which he repeated stuttering and sweating, such a cutie, and she gave hers.

How Izuku acted getting her phone number felt like she had given him the Holy Grail or something.

Yes, he was indeed a cutie.

With a hair ruffle, she left her new friend.

Never seeing how he happily freaked out that a girl touched him!

This was the start of a beautiful friendship, no question.

25.05.24: I decide to delete the second chapter and start new with this FF.

I hope you all like the new cover art too. :D
