Something Eido, with Uncle Germaine and Aunty Eris during their "we are a couple" phase?

Eido looked up from her data pad, the sound of voices outside tearing her away from her work. She was forced to squint as she stood and approached the doorway, the sun so bright compared to the room she had been doing research in for hours. She raised one of her four arms up to her face, shielding her quadruple glowing blue eyes.

  "Eido?" Came a gravelly voice from below.

  Eido blinked rapidly, uncovering her face and looking down at the bottom of the stairs to see the Drifter, Eris Morn beside him.

  "Oh! Drifter! Had I known you were coming I would have prepared some tea- please forgive me." Eido said as she rushed down the steps.

  The Drifter chuckled. "It's all good, Eido. I was just comin' over to show Eris around." He motioned beside him to Eris, who nodded her head towards Eido.

  "Eido. It has been some time, has it not?"

  "Yes..." Eido said somewhat warily. "Since your transformation into a Hive god, actually."

  "Indeed..."

  The Drifter sensed the unease in the air, and chuckled, trying to lighten the situation.

  "Risky move, yeah? But look, Eris is fine, and her transformation saved all our asses." He leaned over, wrapping his arm over her shoulders and pulling her into him. "Pretty spectacular, too."

  Eido narrowed her eyes at the both of them, noting the way Drifter looked at Eris with... admiration? Awe?

  Eris cleared her throat, pushing away from the Drifter, his cue to change the subject.

  "But yeah," he stared. "I actually dropped by to show Eris around. There's a couple places she ain't seen much of and I figured I'd give her the tour."

  "A tour?" Eido almost squealed with delight. "I'd happily show you both around if you would like,"

  The Drifter smiled. "We'd love that."

  Eido's eyes squinted upward in a smile as she turned. "Come along, we'll start at this side first."

  Eido walked forward, knowing Eris and Drifter were following by the close sound of two other footsteps. She smiled to herself as she began motioning to nearby building and structures, pointing out their use and necessity.

  Multiple times as Eido would begin speaking she'd look back at Eris and the Drifter. And those times she'd look back, she would often spot them walking very close, smiling softly, or even holding hands at one point. A human showing of affection, of course. But what did it mean, and to what extent? She pondered this as they continued.

  As she walked them by the garden, waving to the Eliksi in the distance who tended it, she looked back at the two she was touring. "It is nice, having another job other than poring over a data pad- not that I mind doing research!" She added. "It is just..."

  She stopped in her tracks, bringing a clawed finger up to her chin as she considered the words she was searching for.

  "Heh, it's just nice gettin' to take a break from somethin' every once in a while?" The Drifter finished for her. He countinued when Eido earnestly agreed. "Don't you worry, Eido, your aunty Eris and uncle Drifter are here to help you out."

  He smiled broadly, once again wrapping his arm over Eris's shoulders, apparently unaware of what he had just said. Both Eris and Eido stared at him, glowing green and blue eyes wide with surprise.

  "Wait..." Eido started, studying them both as if seeing them for the first time. "Aunt... and uncle?"

  "That is not what he-" Eris attempted, trying to dissolve the situation, but it was too late.

  "You two are together?" She asked, her eyes once again revealing she was smiling.

  "Uhh..." the Drifter's cheeks went pink. "That ain't exactly what I was sayin', what I meant was...." He trailed off, having no defense or disguise for his accidental slip up.

  Eris sighed, burying her face in her hands. "We had intended to keep that information confidential."

  "Oh, I see! Do not worry, I have no intentions to spread your secret." Her body language revealed a secret giddiness she was trying to suppress as she fought against the temptation to hop up and down. "Though I must admit, I was not expecting the two of you to partake in romantical affairs with one another!"

  Now they were both blushing.

  "Oh, is that the human sign for embarrassment?" She pointed a claw at both of their faces. "I apologize, I was not meaning to make either of you uncomfortable."

  The Drifter let out a forced chuckle. "Nah, nah. Your good, Eido. I, uh... Really shoulda thought that sentence through 'fore I said it."

  "Yes, you should have. But at this point our truth is known." Eris began. "And it would be greatly appreciated if you made sure that no news of this gets out, Eido."

  "Of course, your secret is safe with me."

  "Thank you," they both said in unison.

  Eido blinked happily as she turned away, walking forward.

  "Come, let us finish our tour. And then I will set on a kettle so that we may discuss this over tea!" She continued on energetically, one of her hands motioning forward.

  "Sorry," the Drifter whispered to Eris as Eido hummed on happily in front of them.

  "No harm no foul, I suppose." Eris replied with a small smile, shaking her head at him.

  He smiled back, grabbing her hand and intertwining their fingers, quietly laughing when Eido peeked back at them and curiously observed their hands.

  They continued on with their tour, happy amongst trusted company.

"You," Eris huffed, her breath warm against the Drifter's face as she she grabbed him by the collar of his coat, slamming him against the adjacent wall. "You insufferable, irksome, fetid Rat,"

  "Hah!" The Drifter kept his expression cool and composed as he stared into her glaring green eyes. "You think I'm annoyin', huh?"

  "You are annoying,"

  "You sure I'm the annoyin' one?" He raised an eyebrow. "Between the both of us, kinda seems like your the pain in the ass here, Moondust."

  Eris opened her mouth to respond, but then changed her mind and slammed her face against his, her mouth clinging to his own, kissing again and again. Suddenly the Drifter's sole focus was her lips, her love- he couldn't think about anything else, not with Eris kissing him the way she did.

  She kissed long and warm, shifting her mouth along his own with every passing second as he grabbed her waist and pulled her closer, returning her kisses with the same level of passion and intensity.

  Finally they pulled away, gasping for breath while staring into one another's flushed faces.

  "As I said before," Eris finally spoke, regaining her composure. "You are the annoying one, Rat."

  "Yeah, well, you got plenty of your own problems," the Drifter said, smiling flirtatiously, eyebrows scrunched together. "But I gotta admit, kissin' ain't one of 'em."

  Eris scowled at him before leaning in for another long and sloppy kiss.

  "Do not attempt to flatter me." She growled out when they had parted.

  "Why not?" He smirked. "It's nice seein' you so riled up but still unable to pretend you don't love me."

  His voice was so teasing, so soft, his warm affection like dripping honey, slowing down her usual lightning quick train of thought.

  The Drifter put his mouth back against hers again and again, and Eris willingly allowed it, kissing him earnest and warmly in return, holding him close and admiring his courage and burning love.

  She knew he only had the same soft, tender hearted feelings for her in return. For no other reason would they let their barriers fall and their trust be shown in such clarity if anything other were the case.

  They continued on fervently, sharing sloppy, warm kisses and playful taunting comments.

Hello, what's your reaction regarding Bungie and the future of Destiny 2? I mean Drifter and Eris' relationship would have been explored further if it wasn't for the poor leadership in the company. I'm kinda afraid that we won't see this two again especially their banters and growing trust that would likely lead to something romantic😔

I've definitely been nervous about the possibility of Bungie leaving them behind/not growing their characters relationship into something romantic... But I mean, one good sign is the fact that there keeps being new lore between them every season for the last few seasons, not counting the current one.

We had Eris helping the Drifter in IV. Tether during the season of the Deep, we had Drifter being there for Eris during season of the Witch, we had them hugging (giggles giddily) in season of the Wish... and then when Into the Light came out we got an adorable little piece of a phone call Eris was having with the Drifter 🥺And then we got a sweet lil piece of lore between them in the Final Shape... I'm really really hoping this is a good sign that we'll keep getting more of them... But like you pointed out, Bungie's leadership has been pretty poor.

These two are my comfort ship, they are who I dream of and they are who bring me joy, and I'm sure there's more people who also feel the same. So we all gotta stick together and keep showing our love of these two beautiful silly characters, so if Bungie even considers dropping them, they'll see that that would be a poor decision because of how much love they are getting from the community 🥺🙏

God willing, their lore will keep on coming, and their relationship keep on growing... cause even if Bungie doesn't give us a really cool cutscene one day when Eris and Drifter's relationship has gown enough, where Eris and Drifter... maybe... share a lil kissy ;)), Bungie needs to at least give us a sweet piece of lore where they have their first kiss!!

So yeah, I'm a lil nervous, but I still have a lotta hope, and I can't wait for the next Eris and Drifter interaction!!!

Note: I just remembered that cutscene in the Final Shape, the one where Drifter spins his gun then it pans out and you can see Eris just staring at him (maybe even smiling a little? I can't tell), this also brings me hope... Cause the only reason she, Eris Morn, the one so focused on getting the work done and protecting humanity, would be staring at someone else... Is cause she is head over heels in love with that person 😍Eeek!! hopefully Bungie will continue to give us more of these two!

Does your Christian faith effect your Destiny work? There aren't many Christians in Destiny and the game and community feels un-Christian alot of the time. Do you meet challenges to your Faith and do you try to include Christian messages in your writing or is it not really something you notice or think about?

For most my stories I don't usually think about adding in a Christian message tbh, unless I feel like it would work with both the story and the characters. I actually wrote a story a long while back, it's just a lil story, but it's about the Drifter finding forgiveness after the not so good things he's done. I didn't end up posting it here since I was only just getting into using my socials and still figuring everything out and I guess I just never got around to it🙃 But after this ask I'll post it so y'all can read, and I'd love to know y'alls thoughts too!

But I actually posted something on the official Bungie forums last year about my thoughts on how the Drifter is a Christian... and I believe Eris to be a Christian too, and I'll post my thoughts on why I believe that to be the case after this as well. I'm sure most people will disagree lol, but it would still be nice how people react/what they think :)

Also, something else, in the story request I wrote of Eris and Drifter getting married, I added Eido holding a large worn book... That book is meant to be the Bible, but I didn't want to spell that out cause I was curious of how many people would notice hehe ;)

I have noticed that most in the Destiny community do not appear to be Christians, which is a lil sad (c'mon Christians smh start playing more Destiny! 😂) cause it would be nice to find people with similar beliefs, but who also love the game as well... But I absolutely love all my followers/people I follow who have differing beliefs, y'all are all great! :>
