"Please, don't give up"
Hey everyone!
I decided to add some interesting facts about each floral illustration or study art work that I do.
This time it was a study illustration, but others are my original works, so feel free to share or comment because I value feedback and set a goal to improve by the end of the year.
Fig is a fruit of Ficus carica, and is native to Mediterranean region, Western and Southern Asia.
It can not be well transported to the long distances as a ripe fruit but it can be used in other forms.
For e.g it can be commonly seen in dried form or in a form of a jam or rolls.
Fan facts about Figs:
Ancient Crop: Cultivated since 9400–9200 BC.
Unique Pollination: Fig wasps pollinate figs internally.
Botanical Wonder: Figs are inverted flowers, not true fruits.
Nutrient-Rich: High in fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

Nymphaeaceae is family of waterlilies and they are routed in soil in bodies of water with leaves and flowers floating above the water.
Interesting facts:
It's a national flower of several countries (Iran, Bangladesch and Sri Lanka) as well symbol used in multiple flags since ancient times.
Waterlilies has inspired artists and poets and writers. For example, they inspired Claude Monet to create a series of paintings
It is also used for ornamental purposes in gardens with ponds

This time my work is dedicated to Vaccínium myrtíllus or European blueberry. The berries (fruits) grow on a shrub and have interesting features and facts:
In the past it was used as a dye for food and clothes
It has been used in Austria in traditional medicine as a tea or liqueur to treat various disorders
There is a Blueberry river in the Columbia Country in Canada
Is often used for cooking for e.g. in muffins

This time I tried to depict beautiful flowers of Hydrangea paniculata Siebold, in other words one species of Hortensia, that are native to Asia and America.
Some of the interesting facts about it:
- The flowers are used for ornamental purposes
- Sometimes is smoked although it can be dangerous and even lead to death
- the name Hyrangea origins from Greece and means "water vessel" because of the shape of the flowers.
