Interesting facts about annual flowers Callistephus chinensis:
-grow in Northern Hemisphere and blossom from August to October
-In wild they have a purple color but can have multiple others
-they are cultivated in China for two thousand years!
-they are susceptible to some pests like fusarium wilt which is a type of fungi but they can survive winters.
This time I tried to depict beautiful flowers of Hydrangea paniculata Siebold, in other words one species of Hortensia, that are native to Asia and America.
Some of the interesting facts about it:
- The flowers are used for ornamental purposes
- Sometimes is smoked although it can be dangerous and even lead to death
- the name Hyrangea origins from Greece and means "water vessel" because of the shape of the flowers.
Did you know? 🍐 The pear, scientifically known as Pyrus, has been cultivated for over 3,000 years! There are two main species: the soft European Pyrus communis and the crisp Asian Pyrus pyrifolia.
Most pear trees are clones of ancient varieties, and some can live for over a century. Interestingly, pears ripen best off the tree, becoming juicier and more flavorful after being picked!

I had a lot of fun with this one :) it went mush further than I had originally planned, but the end result was much better than I expected ☺️ the hardest part was putting together all the smaller components since they were done on different bits of canvas paper, but I managed to stitch them all together with the magic of technology 😅

🐸Chitchat Chanterelles 🍄 If you spot him in the forest, he will talk to you for hours. The catch? He only talks in rhyme. Do not touch his little hat, he will certainly not like that. .

✨Taraxacum✨ and so with the ending of summer, so too does the season for dandelions come to an end. Now all that’s left to do is scan it and add the labels! Next up I’m thinking… Red clover? Then maybe some fun fall forage flora! Let me know any other plants you'd like to see :)
Red clover! 🍀 This was probably the most difficult one so far because of all those little petals, but I’m very pleased 😊 these are also very tasty! If you lick the bottoms of the petals it’s wonderfully sweet✨
✨Prints up✨ finally decided on the background! I think it stands out much more now😊 they’re up and listed- 8.5"x11", glossy photo paper ✨ . Also, for anyone wondering about the 3"x3" mini canvas originals, I’m hoping to go to the post office soon to get the shipping estimated so I can list them too! I’ll keep you updated 😊
