Hey everyone!
I decided to add some interesting facts about each floral illustration or study art work that I do.
This time it was a study illustration, but others are my original works, so feel free to share or comment because I value feedback and set a goal to improve by the end of the year.
Fig is a fruit of Ficus carica, and is native to Mediterranean region, Western and Southern Asia.
It can not be well transported to the long distances as a ripe fruit but it can be used in other forms.
For e.g it can be commonly seen in dried form or in a form of a jam or rolls.
Fan facts about Figs:
Ancient Crop: Cultivated since 9400–9200 BC.
Unique Pollination: Fig wasps pollinate figs internally.
Botanical Wonder: Figs are inverted flowers, not true fruits.
Nutrient-Rich: High in fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
