Guys I think i caught something, I had to go home from school because I was shivering, had a high temp, runny nose, my throat hurt, my everything felt tingly for no reason, my nerves were very sensitive (idk if that’s like the proper way to explain it) I’ve just been under a heated blanket for two hours knocked out and I still have goosebumps and I feel weird and my heads weird idk-

But I’m sorry that the two people that find interest in my character talks (looking at you @spheroz 🤩) that I will probably not get the Michael Varus post out in a while, and that my Bryce Lawerence post wasn’t my finest work, I was half asleep while finishing it.

Thank the Gods for autocorrect while writing this, and let’s hope I feel better because I still have like 3 more pages to write for my English assignment.

FIRST DRAFT OF CAMP JUPITER MAP!!!! :D

Guys.. I’m considering making the first (kinda second?) draft of the map in Minecraft-

Anyway, the Rome love has gotten to the point that if someone even says the words ‘Roman Republic’ or ‘Roman Empire’ I giggle and squeal in joy and all of my veins feel weird in that moment.

Anyway- uh, yeah. I’ve been procrastinating the map for a little lol- but I’m gonna get it done… hopefully. The first draft I mean- there is no way in Tartarus that I will make it to getting the final draft on paper and inked soo..

Consider this the 1/2 draft.

I guess it’s the first draft but I’ve been neglecting posting it because it is the most BARE BONES map ever. This is no account taken for literally anything other than ‘do I know where the buildings and the basics roads/gates are???’ And that’s about it^^

Okay, okay! I’d like to present a possible answer. If I’m remembering correctly; Octavian can see the future (like in SoN with the whole ‘the Greek has arrived’ and the whole smoke and special affects) Apollo also notes that Octavian was contacting him when we talk with Apollo in BoO; So in some case he has prophetic powers that could land him in the Augur position, and secondly,

We are drawn attention to in SoN the fact that Octavian is stated to be a good Orator. Now, Oratory skills are nothing to brush off- a bunch of people have come into places of power throughout history due to being good Orators! So could it be safe to say he managed to through being a skilled Orator, making sure he had majority of his cohorts favor, and adding the fact that he was the Augur on top.

Okay that last paragraph was written weirdly, I just woke up. But yeah; his See the future stuff wasn’t stopped until Python took control of the Delphic cave and Apollo got blasted from the sky.

And this answer (i think at least) works okay because it gives him genuinely good reasons to get into the positions of power that he has. Rather than just getting through from money.

But, Augur: could reasonably see the future if looking at the objective fact parts of canon (in my opinion at least from what I remember, and it wasn’t all of one of the POV’s going ‘Welll, can Octavian actually do that?’)

And rising to being the senior Centurion: he could’ve rose through his Orating, careful strategic planning, and generally trying to show himself to look like the best option.

That’s my idea at least, it’s from what I remember from the books- and maybe it does give a okay explanation.

Okay but if Octavian couldn't see the future then how the hell did he gaslight gatekeep girlboss his way into being not only the camp augur but senior centurion of the best cohort because yes he's got money but money doesn't tell the future!!

First draft of Camp Jupiter!

I was on a like three hour fight to California and now I’ve done it. I finished the first draft of the map.

I will note that I didn’t have my notes with me or the internet to look at reference maps, but I’m very proud of this and I will update it once I see fit but for now I am proud of this because I HAD TO PLACE SO MANY BLOCKS AND DO SO MUCH GUESS MEASURING

All of the paths in the left are just me measuring things out and whatever. The roads aren’t solidified, I need to move the via principalis a little and some other things but whatever- for now I am tired and this is good enough.
