Rabbit Hunting
Rabbit Hunting

Genre: Regency AU, slight enemies to lovers, fluff
Pairing: Jungkook/Named Reader
Warnings: none
Synopsis: Marriage is the first thing on your motherβs mind and the last on yours. Especially when you unexpectedly run into a mysterious gentle while on a leisurely walk.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
"Dorothea!" your mother called after you and you cringed at the use of your full name. Your bonnet and shoes were already tied, the basket for wildflowers swinging from your wrist. "Make sure to be back by afternoon! Your cousins will be here tonight and we need to have you looking presentable. You never know who they may bring with them."
You rolled your eyes as you walked out the door and into the crisp early spring air. Whenever the Kim brothers came into Derbyshire it was the talk of the town. Your cousins were three of the handsomest men in all of Europe and they often brought with them equally gorgeous and eligible gentlemen. Your mother was of course desperate to marry you off to one of them. While your situation was not as desperate as that of many other families in Derbyshire, with only you and your younger sister, there wasn't much hope for an inheritance unless each of you married well.
Your mother had even tried to marry off your poor maid in hopes she would bring back some sort of prosperity to your small manor house.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
There was nothing you liked better after breakfast than a morning walk. The roads were slightly muddy from the night's rain and the air was fragrant with the smell of the newly sprung spring flowers.
You headed towards the wildflower fields that lay near the estate of Finchfield. It was currently empty, the last tenant having left for France a few years before. Your mother was waiting with baited breath for a handsome gentlemen to come to town and claim Finchfield.
The estate was in sight as you waded into the wildflowers. The grass and some of the flowers came all the way to your hips. You began to pick the prettiest ones for the centerpieces later that night. While your mother had her dreams for your marriage, you had your own. You'd like to think that your future husband would like walks through the wildflower fields, too. Stopping to pick one that matched the color of your dress and placing it behind your ear.
A small rustling interrupted your daydreams and you looked over to see a small brown bunny hopping slowly through the grass. It hadn't noticed you yet, evident from its leisurely pace.
You smiled, remembering the many memories from your childhood of chasing after rabbits with your sister. They normally always outran you or ducked into their burrows before you could capture. Not that you wanted to anyway, it was the thrill of the chase that captivated you most.
You gave away your presence and chased after the creature. It bounded away from you, although it didn't seem particularly terrified, seeming to enjoy your silly antics. Your hair fell out and the bottom of your dress had become filthy, but you cared less as you ran out of breath. The rabbit was out of your sight now, but you could still make out a sliver of the estate in the distance, you certainly hadn't gone as far as you thought.
After catching your breath, you took off in the direction the animal went. It wasn't long before you came upon the animal again, but instead you found it inside a hunting trap. A man stood nearby, his rifle aimed at the poor creature.
"No, Mister! Don't shoot!" You threw yourself down beside the trap, your hands attempting to open it.
"Excuse me, Miss, but haven't you been taught not to run in front of a man's rifle?" His gun was lowered now. You didn't recognize him as one of the men from town, but he was certainly one of the handsomest men you'd ever seen.
"And, don't you know that any true gentlemen does not trap their prey? Now, please release this poor animal. It wouldn't even be in your trap if I hadn't have been chasing it."
The man looked annoyed, his jaw clenched and his mouth slightly open. Yet, he seemed somewhat amused as he took in your figure. You remembered your hair was an absolute mess, but you found it hard to care in the moment. "Miss, I understand it is not typical for your sex to understand a sport like hunting, but trapping is regular practice and fair."
"Listen, Mr...?"
"Jeon," the man filled in.
"Mr. Jeon, I know you only mean to kill this helpless hare for measly sport. I've become quite attached to it and would please release it as a favor to me. Just this once?"
Mr. Jeon's demeanor seemed to change. Instead of annoyed, he seemed mostly amused. You weren't sure if it was simply your charms or your pitiful appearance, but the man reached down and opened the trap. The rabbit scurried away and soon was out of sight.
"Thank you, Mr. Jeon," you said, a little surprised he had allowed the creature its freedom. You curtsied politely and grabbed your flower basket.
"You're welcome, Miss," he said. "But, I have done you your favor, may I now ask one of you?"
Words eluded you and just as you were about to choke out something you were thankful to be interrupted.
"Thea!" a man called out. As he moved closer, you recognized him as your cousin, Taehyung. You ran into your arms and your feet came off the ground as he twirled you.
"I thought you weren't supposed to arrive until tonight," you said once your feet were planted back on the ground.
"We are renting Finchfield for our stay," Taehyung said. "We arrived early to familiarize ourselves with the grounds." You heard footsteps approaching behind you. "Ah, I see you've already met Mr. Jeon. Allow me to formally introduce you. Mr. Jeon, this is my cousin Miss Dorothea Kim. Miss Kim, this is Mr. Jeon, a dear friend of mine from Busan."
He bowed and you curtsied in return. "A pleasure," you said.
"The pleasure is all mine." He took your hand and kissed your knuckles lightly.
"Did you get anything?" Taehyung asked, holding up his own bounty of a pheasant.
"I trapped a rabbit, but your cousin cleverly persuaded me to release it."
"Ah, Thea has always had a love for animals. You were chasing it weren't you?"
You nodded, color coming to your cheeks. Taehyung smiled and ruffled your hair, messing it up more. You scowled at your older cousin and attempted to flatten it down.
"I'm sure auntie will be thrilled to see you in such a state, cousin," Taehyung said. "Shall we give you a ride back?"
"Thank you, Taehyung, but mother isn't expecting you until dinner time. If you were to come over now, I think she may become overwhelmed. We've spent the last week preparing for your arrival. I'll make my way back now. I think I have enough wildflowers for tonight."
"Please allow me to walk back with you, Miss Kim. I can't let my dear friend's cousin walk alone."
"Thank you for the kind offer, Mr. Jeon. But, it's certainly not necessary. This my home and I will be perfectly fine walking by myself. And, I worry you wouldn't find your way back to Finchfield."
Mr. Jeon stood stunned for a moment but nodded. "As you wish, Miss Kim."
"Oh, Mr. Jeon, as a thank you for your kind favor. Please take this." You picked out a small yellow wildflower and tucked it between his jacket and shirt. "The yellow suits you very well, Mr. Jeon."

Caramel Macchiato

Genre: Coffeeshop AU, Former Friends to Lovers, Fluff
Pairing: Jungkook/Reader
Warnings: cringe and awkward moments lol
Synopsis: Your first kiss happened during the pocky game in high school. The boy you kissed, Jeon Jungkook, was a trainee. You planned to forget it and shove down any leftover feelings. Although, itβs a bit hard to do that when his face is on the billboard outside the coffee shop you work at. It becomes even harder when the man himself walks in with the sound of the bells on the door.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
It was a busy day at the cafe. You acted as if you didn't know why, but you'd seen multiple fans come in wearing BTS merch. There was a BTS concert at the nearby arena that night.
You didn't think about Jungkook much anymore. But occasionally, on days like that one, it seemed unavoidable. You kept seeing his face everywhere. On customer's T-shirts, on magazine covers, on billboards. He was unavoidable.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
You knew he was doing exactly what he wanted. Back in school, everyone knew he was trainee. Girls fawned over him, even if he himself was shy and tried to avoid them. Sometimes one of the members would come to pick him up, and everyone stared at the older boy.
After he debuted, it'd been even worse. People pretending to be his friend, playing the video to embarrass him at lunch; but he never let it phase him.
He'd approached you one day. The two of you had never really paid each other much mind before. You shared a few classes, but had never interacted outside of them before.
"You're one of the top students, right?" he asked, as you stood at your locker and placed the books from your last class inside.
You nodded.
"I was wondering if you had time if you could help me with my math? I want to do well on the next test and all the hyungs besides Namjoon hyung are bad at math. And he told me that I should try to make friends, and you seemed nice."
You smiled at his obvious nervous rambling. You figured he was probably just embarrassed to be asking for help.
"Sure," you said. "Do you have time after school?"
"No," he said. "We get a day off on Sunday though. We can meet sometime then."
You nodded and exchanged numbers.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
You met up at a cafe that Sunday. You both had brought along your math textbooks and a notebook and you were currently showing him how to solve a complicated equation.
"Make sure you solve this part first or else you'll end up with the wrong answer. You can tell which part you have to solve first because of the parenthesis."
He took notes diligently and listened intently as he explained each problem to him and corrected his mistakes.
After the study session, he offered to buy you a coffee for helping him. You smiled and accepted.
"Caramel Macchiato," you told the waitress.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
"You have Jungkook's number?" one of your friends asked.
You shrugged and took another bite of your lunch.
"Yeah, I helped him in math once. What's the big deal?"
"What's the big deal?" you friend asked, a look of shock crossing her face. "You have an idol's phone number!I'm going to call him!"
"No!" you said, reaching for your phone, but it was too late.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
"You called me earlier?" Jungkook asked after you answered the phone.
"Oh no, sorry, that was my friend. She thought it would be funny to call you. I'm really sorry about that, I can delete it so it doesn't happen again."
"No, no, it's okay. I just wanted to make sure everything was okay."
"Oh, uh, yeah, thanks."
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
You're not exactly sure how you both ended up at the same party. You knew Jungkook wasn't really the partying type as he was too busy and focused on his career. You were too focused on school to go to parties. But somehow you both ended up at the same one.
"Y/N!" he called. "I never expected to see you here."
"Nor I you," you said. "I'm sure it's not much compared to the big idol parties you go to."
"I don't go to many idol parties. But I much prefer smaller ones like this."
"Come on, let's go play a game. We can't spend the whole time just talking to each other."
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
Something you discovered about Jungkook is he was competitive and determined, just like yourself. He rarely ever gave up. When the idea of the pocky game came up, you were nervous knowing that if you refused to lose, you'd end up kissing someone. You'd never kissed anyone before, but decided to go along with the game, figuring you probably could just sit and watch the whole time.
"Y/N!" the MC of the game called. "And..." She stuck her hand back into the hat and pulled out the next name. "Jungkook!"
A series of ooohs and aaahs rang out. A few girls eyed you jealously, but all you could focus on was the nervous rumbling in your stomach.
You and Jungkook each took hold of either end of the pocky stick with your mouths.
"Go!" the MC said.
You and Jungkook both bit through the candy, neither one of you turning away. Within a few seconds, your lips touched. You knew the first to pull away lost and you had too much pride to pull away immediately. Eventually, Jungkook pulled away, allowing you to win.
You smiled, but couldn't help the blush on your cheeks. Jungkook, too, looked slightly flushed.
"Loser," you smirked, feeling an odd wave of confidence wash over you.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
"Hey, let me know when you get home," Jungkook said, as the party ended. "It's late."
"I will," you said. You wanted to talk about the kiss, but you were too awkward to bring it up. Instead you let the conversation sit between you.
"Bye, Y/N."
"Bye, Jungkook."
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
Other than graduation, that was the last time you'd talked to Jungkook. You still had his number, but with BTS now much more popular, you figured he'd probably changed it.
You finished up the drink you were working on and went to hand it out.
"A caramel macchiato for..." you glanced down at the name. "Jungkook."
You were surprised to see his name and you figured it couldn't be him, but when you looked up you were met with his familiar eyes.
"Jungkook!" you exclaimed, spilling the drink in the process.
The caramel macchiato spilled all over Jungkook's white T-shirt and you chastised yourself for your careless behavior.
"I'm so sorry!"
Your co-workers looked at you pitifully and allowed you to excuse yourself to help him clean up. It was your fault after all.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
You stood in the small single bathroom in the cafe. You wet paper towels and proceeded to help Jungkook clean the coffee and milk off his shirt.
"I'm sorry," you said again. "I was just surprised to see you."
"It's okay," he said. "This is just the Gucci shirt V hyung got me for my birthday."
Your face immediately fell into shock and you felt terrible for probably ruining a gift.
"I'm kidding," he said, chuckling at your reaction. "It's nice to see you again. Going to university like you planned?"
You nodded.
"I work here mainly on the weekends."
"I'm glad I caught you on a day you worked. You know, it's actually kind of funny, I just thought about you today."
"Me?"
"Yes," he said. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a slightly squished box of pocky. "I bought it for the hyungs as a good luck present before the show."
You smiled as you eyed the box.
"We were so young. I can't believe you still remember that."
"Most people don't forget their first kiss."
You were surprised. You had assumed that it hadn't been Jungkook's first kiss based on the way the girls at school used to fawn over him.
"It was your first kiss, too?"
Jungkook nodded and smiled down at you.
"I'm glad it was you," he said.
You hadn't noticed that you'd stopped wiping of his shirt. You went back to it, but Jungkook interrupted you.
He held a pocky stick in his mouth.
"What do you say? For old time's sake?"
You giggled and placed your lips on the other end. It didn't take long for your lips to touch, but neither of you pulled away for longer this time. But eventually, you pulled away, remembering that you were still at work.
"Loser," he smirked, looking down at you.
Drunk In Love

Genre: Best Friends to Lovers, Fluff, Angst
Pairing: Hoseok/Reader
Warnings: drinking, bad karaoke, attempted sexual assault, unwanted sexual advances, this is super old and not as good as my other work lmao
Synopsis: You and Hoseok go out for the first time in a while. While singing your hearts out during bad karaoke and dancing til you dropped, the alcohol makes both of you realize that maybe you care a little more for each other than you thought.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
Okay, so this wasn't the first time you'd done drunk karaoke with Hobi. After the first time, you'd promised to never let it happen again, but he really should've learned to never make you keep promise when you were drunk.
The two of you chose to sing "Drunk in Love". Although, if you were singing it sober Hobi would rap Jay-Z's part and you would sing, but neither of you was sober, so you ended up rapping. Hobi, while tasked with singing barely did because he was too busy laughing at your rap.
The bar cheered and whooped as the two of you performed. You figured it was mostly because they knew Hobi was an idol. You didn't have the best singing voice to begin with and drunk it was even worse. Hobi's singing, even when he was inebriated, was decent and you found yourself watching him fondly as he sang. You knew he would kill you when the footage ended up on YouTube. But you would worry about that later.
"He's got a hyphen in his name too," you said, slurring your words and a smirk breaking out across your face.
Hobi couldn't help but crack a smile at your observation, not seeing the point, but finding it cute nonetheless.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
You first met Hoseok in dance class back in Gwangju. You were both awkward sixteen year olds, except for the fact that Hobi had already won a National dance competition and was closing a deal with an entertainment company. He was the talk of the entire class.
You were intimidated the first time he led the class and politely corrected you. Your face flushed red and you tried not to make any more mistakes the entire class.
"Hey, I didn't upset you, did I?" the boy asked you after class.
"Oh, uh, no, sorry, I'm just new here," you said.
He nodded. "Well, if you ever want to practice. I'm usually free after class."
After getting over your initial shyness, the two of you were fast friends. But the days you had together were numbered.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
The night before Hoseok left for Seoul the two of you got drunk. If either of your parents had found out both of you would be in trouble, but both of you had told them you would be out late at the studio.
It wasn't exactly a lie. You were at the studio, as well as a six pack. The two of you laid on the hard wood floor of the studio and looked up at the ceiling as if the night sky was painted on it. The drunker you got, the more you believed it.
Feeling slightly bad for lying to your parents, you decided to actually have dance practice, despite the fact neither of you could dance without stumbling. But it turned into both of your belting the lyrics at the top of your lungs and trying not to fall over as you danced the best you could.
It was the best night of your life.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
The club was packed, but you and Hobi didn't care. You were both already drunk and just went there to dance. Since both of your careers focused on dancing, no night out was complete without a trip to a club to show off your moves.
You'd moved to Seoul just a year ago after finishing university and pursued dancing. You'd been a backup dancer for a few idols and in a few videos. Hobi had helped out a lot, but you didn't want to rely on him for gigs.
You made your way to the middle of the crowd. It wasn't long until the crowd was around both of you, the attention only causing you and Hobi to show off more. Him, somehow completing a flip while drunk. That's when you decided to stop him before he hurt himself.
"All right, all right," you said. "I think that's enough. Let's go get you a glass of water."
Hobi sat at the bar, beginning to sober a bit when you made your way back out onto the floor. You began dancing with other people, not entirely conscious to who was dancing around you.
"That guy you were dancing with earlier, he your boyfriend?" a guy you were dancing with asked.
"No, just an old friend," you answered.
"So, he wouldn't mind if..."
The guy moved closer to you and placed his hands on your hips. You felt panic take over, pushing the guy's hands off of you.
"No, but I do," you said, walking back towards the bar.
"Hey, what's your problem? I was trying to be nice!"
He tightly grabbed your arm. You tried to struggle free, but before you could get out of his grasp, the man was knocked away from you.
"She said, she didn't want you to touch her," Hobi said, his face red.
"I thought you said he wasn't your boyfriend," the guy said, slightly stunned by Hobi's intervention.
"I'm not, but you shouldn't treat any girl like that. Boyfriend or not," he said.
You felt your heart swell, at least before the alcohol started to wear off and you began to feel exhausted.
"Let's go home," Hobi said, wrapping his arm around you.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
"Thank you," you said, after you'd walked a few blocks away from the club. You still had your arms around one another, mostly to keep each other from collapsing.
"It was nothing," he said, but you could tell by the way his face grew red and he clenched his fists that it wasn't nothing.
"Hobi, what's wrong?"
"I just hated seeing him touch you that way," he said. "Cause the only guy I could picture touching you is me."
You laughed it off. Hobi normally said weird things when he was drunk.
"Ooh, were you jealous?" you asked, playfully tracing your finger over your chest.
"I don't know," he said. "Probably..."
"What do you mean probably?" you asked, laughter still in your voice.
"Cause, I love you," he said. "So, I was probably jealous."
You stopped laughing.
"You're drunker than I thought, Hobi," you said, tightening your arm around him and getting up the stairs to your apartment.
"Ah, honorific," he said, smirking.
You couldn't help bit laugh slightly as you both collapsed onto your bed and fell asleep almost immediately.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
You had a terrible headache when you woke up. You groaned and sat up, finding the bed empty. The shower was running and so you decided to start breakfast, hopefully something that would cure your massive hangover and the one Hobi surely had as well.
"Good morning," Hobi said, dressed in a pair of sweats and a T-shirt, his hair still wet from the shower.
"Good morning," you replied. "Hungover?"
"Yeah," he said. "You?"
You nodded. Your mind wandered back to the drunken confession from the night before.
"How much do you remember of last night?" you asked.
"Enough," he said, smiling.
"You remember what you said?"
"Every word."
Study Sessions

Genre: Hogwarts AU, Established Relationship, Slytherin!Yoongi x Ravenclaw!Reader, Light Smut
Pairing: Yoongi/Reader
Warnings: Implied/Light Smut, Public Sex, Short (more of a drabble)
Synopsis: You need to study for your OWLs. Your boyfriend Yoongi, however, has something else on his mind.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
"Do you really need to study so much?" Yoongi asked, using his wand to twist one of your curls around the hard wood. "You're a Ravenclaw. You'll do fine."
"I don't want to just do fine, Yoongi!" You pressed down a bit too hard on the quill causing the letter you were writing to smear. "Ugh! See what you made me do!"
You took out your wand and quickly cast an erasing spell, the smudge disappearing and you used your quill to redo the letter.
"I honestly don't know how you focus with your super hot boyfriend right here." Yoongi smirked and sent a small gust of wind from the tip of his wand to ruffle your skirt under the table.
"You're making it increasingly difficult," you said, clenching your jaw, partially out of annoyance, but also, so that you wouldn't burst out in laughter. You didn't want to give him the satisfaction.
"Hmmm, you never have time for me any more, baby. Can't you take just a few minutes off?"
Yoongi moved from across from you to beside you. His hand coming to rest on your knee. Each finger tip dug lightly into your skin, not enough to bruise, but hard enough for you to know exactly what he wanted.
"The OWLs are only two weeks away! You should be studying too!"
"I don't need to study. I know everything I need to know already."
"Right, you've learned how to undo the anti-cheating hexes."
Yoongi flashed a gummy smile. "Exactly," he said. "But, I only cheat when I need to. I'm smarter than I look, baby."
You rolled your eyes, glancing around the library and hoping that no one was hiding among the shelves. It was late, the library would be closing in just under an hour. You nearly always had the library to yourself at this hour. Madam Pince even trusted you alone sometimes, ducking out early and allowing you to leave when you wanted.
"You also don't know when you shut your mouth, apparently," you said. "If you don't be quiet, I'm gonna cast the Tongue-Tying Curse."
Yoongi smirked, but didn't say a word. You went back to reading and copying down notes. You managed to make some decent progress when you felt something warm on your thigh.
You glance over at Yoongi who appeared to be rather involved in the book on the table in front of him. His hand, however, was teasing you. His fingers running slowly over your thigh, inching closer to your panties.
You ignored him. All he wanted was a reaction, for you to finally cave and stop your studies. He knew how to make you weak, but you were nearly as stubborn as you were smart.
You went back to the bookβthe advanced charms textbookβyou'd already read cover to cover. Charms was your best subject and that was probably the reason Yoongi was bothering you so much, because he knew you truly didn't need to study it.
His finger tips reached your core and you nearly lost your control as he began to circle around your clit. You focused on keeping your legs still and not allowing your head to lull back.
You kept reading the same line over and over again and the tip of your quill hadn't written anything since Yoongi's fingers snuck up your skirt.
"Everything okay?" Yoongi asked. "You seem to be having trouble studying." You didn't have to look to know a wide smirk had spread across his soft features.
You released a moan that sounded much more like a growl. You climbed out of your seat and in a swift movement straddled Yoongi's lap, feeling him growing against you.
His hand didn't miss a beat, following you as you moved from your seat, as if he'd been expecting it all along.
"You're going to be responsible if I fail my OWLs," you said, not giving the boy a chance to respond as you pressed your lips against his.
"You've never failed anything in your life," he said, pulling away for a moment as his other hand came to rest in your hair. "You know, if you wanted me to fuck you in the library, you could've just asked."
You chuckled. "I think you're the one that wanted to fuck me in the library." You leaned down, your mouth dangerously close to his ear. "And, Min Yoongi always gets what he wants."
Yoongi chuckled as his hands came up to grip your hips. "I'll make it worth the study break."
"Silencio," you said, ensuring you couldn't be heard.
Secret Santa

Genre: Christmas Themed, Fluff
Pairing: Yoongi/Reader
Warnings: old and short lmao
Synopsis: Your secret Santa gift practically brings you to tears. But your secret Santa wonβt reveal their identity.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
You carried Hoseok's gift in your hand as you walked to the studio. The paper and ribbon neatly prepared. You were glad you'd had the idea of Secret Santa among the group, because after buying and shipping gifts back home, you were living light, trying to save enough money to visit home in the summer.
You couldn't prevent the sadness that persisted. It was a week from Christmas and it was the first one you'd ever spent away from home. You'd miss the smell of the Christmas tree and cookies that blended together on Christmas Eve. Your mom would always let you open one gift the night before, almost always a new pair of pajamas to wear for Christmas morning.
You smiled at the memories as you entered the elevator.
"Hold the door!" you heard as the doors began to close.
You stopped the doors and Suga walked into the elevator. He acknowledged you briefly before pulling out his phone the remainder of the ride.
You and Suga had a complicated relationship. The members liked to joke it was because you were too similar, but you couldn't imagine being remotely like Suga. You certainly didn't hate him, he was talented and you admired his natural skill, but sometimes it was infuriating when he was working and became absolutely insufferable.
"Y/N, I have a verse I'd like to run by you if you have the time," he said, as the doors opened.
You nodded and placed Hoseok's gift in the empty practice room you'd all agreed to place the gifts in until the end of the day. You tried not to glance at the other gifts already in the room, but your eye wandered, noticing yours wasn't there yet.

Suga fingered your gift in his pocket. He preferred to keep it with him until the last minute to make sure it didn't get lost. But secretly, he was afraid it was too much, that he should've just gotten you a teddy bear and called it good.
He put the thoughts from his mind and slipped on his headphones to work on his latest song. Just as he was finishing the melody, you came in and set down food beside him. You knew it might be a while before he got to it so you sat down with your own lunch.
"You wanted to run that verse by me, right?"
Suga took of his headphones and nodded. He placed them on your head and adjusted the time in the song and pressed play. He started the second verse. Despite the fact you were there to learn about music production, you were often the guinea pig for their new album, hearing the rough versions of all the new songs.
You listened carefully to the lyrics and the melody. After the verse finished, Suga paused the song and looked at you expectantly.
"I like it," you said. "Is this the pre-chorus?"
He nodded.
"Hmmm...the melody doesn't seem to be leading into the chorus."
You thought for a second before grabbing a blank piece of paper and a pen. You sketched out the notes and then made a few edits and notes, tweaking where you thought the music could be altered slightly to lead into the chorus better.
Suga watched as you sketched and nodded.
"Good idea," he said, turning back to the computer. He added in a few of the elements you suggested and made a few of his own changes. "Now, listen."
The verse was significantly better and you smiled as he let it play into the chorus. You remembered them recording the vocals for this song and see it come so far excited you, especially knowing you influenced the final product.
"We work well together," you said, half-joking.
You didn't get a chance to see his reaction as your phone began to ring. You looked down you see your mom's name flashing across the screen.
"Excuse me, sorry," you said, leaving the room and finding an empty conference room.

There were tears in your eyes by the end of the call. Your family was happy, nothing was wrong, your mom had simply called to tell you that your presents would reach Seoul soon. You hated thinking that you'd have to open them alone in your apartment and you wouldn't get to see the joy as your family opened theirs. You'd have to settle for the small Secret Santa you'd set up with the boys.

You all gathered in the practice room at the end of the day. The boys had just finished a long dance practice for one of their upcoming performances. Everyone looked through the pile of gifts and found the one with their name on it and it took you a few moments, but you eventually found a small brown envelope with your name.
You smiled as they went around the circle, everyone opening their gift one by one. You laughed at Hoseok's squealing as he wrapped the scarf you'd gotten him around his neck.
It finally got to you. You carefully broke the seal on the envelope and pulled out two plane tickets. You were in disbelief at first, before you felt the tears. You didn't want to cry in front of the boys, but it soon passed as you felt as the Maknae line envelope you in a group hug.
"Thank you," you said. "Whoever this was."

"You're really not going to tell her?" Jin asked. He pulled down the covers on his bed as he climbed in.
"It's supposed to be a secret, isn't it?" Yoongi replied.
"You know that's not how it works."
Yoongi sighed.
"What difference does it make if she knows?"
"Don't you want her to?"
Yoongi stayed silent.
"What if she decides not to come back? She's not tied here and you know she could easily find work back home."
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
Your plane had just started boarding when you surprised to hear your name being called. You turned to see Yoongi standing to the side.
"Yoongi, how'd you get through security? What are you doing here?"
"It was me," he said. "I was your Secret Santa."
You didn't know what to say. But luckily, you didn't have to say anything as he pressed his lips to yours.

"Do you think she'd want roses or peonies?" your best friend Hoseok asked, browsing over the countless bouquet options.
"She's your girlfriend, Hobi oppa," you said. "I don't know what she likes."
"Yes, but you're a girl. What would you like?"
You couldn't help but laugh out loud. Hobi normally would laugh along with you, even if you were laughing at him. But, he seemed stressed, his face fell in annoyance.
"I really want to do well, Y/N," he said. "I've messed up a lot lately. I hardly get to see her anymore and when I do I'm always talking about the comeback. I want tonight to be only about her."
You felt your heart melt slightly. He was obviously madly in love with her. You liked seeing your best friend so in love, but you secretly wished it was with you.
You'd given up on Hobi ever loving you back years ago when he debuted. You knew his work was the most important love of his life and you respected that, you would want Hobi to do the same.
"If it was me," you said. "I'd want roses. They're more romantic."
Hoseok looked over the various colors and types of roses. He eventually settled on a bouquet of long stemmed pink roses. You couldn't help but feel a pang of envy in your chest, knowing he was giving those to a girl you'd never even met.
"I'm sure she'll love them. Especially coming from you," you said. "Now, come on, I'll help you get ready. Want you to look nice tonight."
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
You reached your apartment a few hours before Hobi's date. He'd brought a few outfit options and you helped him pick out the right jacket and tie. You did his hair and helped him apply the little makeup he wore in case cameras caught sight of him.
"You look great,β you said. "Good luck. And let me know if you're going to be out late." You winked and shoved the bouquet into his hand as he walked out the door.
"Thank you, Y/N."
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
It was only an hour later when your phone rang. You'd just dived into your takeout and started binge watching a new show on Netflix.
"Hobi?" you answered. "Is everything okay?"
"She broke up with me," he said. His voice was deep and gravelly, he'd been crying.
"Where are you? I'll come find you."
Hobi gave you the street name and you rushed out the door, forgetting your coat and umbrella, but you didn't really care. You hailed a taxi and gave the driver the street name.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
You spotted Hobi a block from where the taxi had dropped you off. He sat with his back against an apartment building, presumably hers.
"Hobi," you said.
He looked up. The rain mixed with his tears and his hair and clothes were soaked. You placed one of your arms around his shoulders and helped him stand up.
"We need to get out of the rain before we both get sick," you said. You hailed another taxi, although it was harder this time because both of you were soaking wet.
οΉ₯βββββββββββββββοΉ€
"You deserve better," you said, pulling up the blanket momentarily so that you could climb beneath it beside him.
"I'm too busy for a girlfriend," he said. "I can't pay enough attention to her."
"That's not true. You just have to find the right one."
He looked down at the blanket and fiddled with the seam. You knew he was stubborn and would remain sad until another girl came into his life.
You spotted the bouquet of roses on your table. Hobi had thrown them there when you came in. He couldn't bring himself to throw them away. Nearly all the roses were ruined and wilted from the rain, except one.
You got up and plucked the one still perfect rose from the dozen. You set it in Hobi's lap.
"Most relationships aren't going to work out," you said. "Maybe its you, or your job, or maybe its them. But eventually you'll find someone and the relationship will never wilt, even in the rain."
Hobi smiled down at the rose. He looked back at you and reached up and pushed one side of your hair back. Before you could ask what he was doing, he slipped the rose behind you ear and cradled your cheek in his hands.
"I think I already have."
