everyone spits on this guys’ name because some victorian or gregorian guy decided he was a suitable candidate for an impromptu eye transplant surgery that just straight up got him killed (probably). so not only does he die but his corpse gets to be violated! and his memory defiled! and literally (almost) no one knows! they refer to jonah as elias even when they do know that’s not his name and that’s just so awful.

i read some fanfics (there aren’t that many) where elias is trapped in the back of his own mind, getting to watch magnus puppeteer his body around and sometimes in those fanfics people make him mentally fight magnus (failing in some, and succeeding in others, both of which i love). or they have him survive by getting magnus’ eyes out of him. like a “jon fights with jonah and rips his eyes out” situation. every fanfic writer who has contributed to this au let me just say; i love you so so so so so much. you are writing some mighty good work. i need it in my veins. more. <33 also did i mention that i love you? you deserve all the good things in the world.
