How do we feel about a new Jake Donfort fanfiction on my Wattpad?

2 genres of fanfiction:

1) put that guy into situations

2) take that guy OUT of situations for the love of GOD let them REST 

If anyone ever feels bad about not writing a lot of words for a fanfic chapter or a book chapter, I'll let you all know that a few years ago I started a smut one-shot that is currently 13 pages long, over 8k words, and it's still unfinished. The two characters weren't even fully naked yet, and they kept doing foreplay.

It has been so long since I wrote so many pages. I am so happy!

Hm. Seems like my dislike for Adam seeped through the chapter revision by accident.

Good thing I can take it out. That's what drafts are for, thank goodness.

I'm looking at my revision of chapter 1, and I feel like I should post it. I'm a bit nervous since I did get hate for a long time regarding my work, but hopefully that anxiety will go away.

I'm more of a one-shot writer, so maybe that's why I'm shaking a bit. I'll be sure to cross post it onto tumblr when I stop shaking.

I... Since it was mentioned in writing, I have to explore it.

I do this to myself, and I have to do it.

God... fucking dammit.

So VLD introduces Shiro's arm as some sort of weapon. We barely get any insight on it. We are shown in the first episode that it "activates" and it's painful for him to experience. He then just attacks the Galra robots with no hesitation?

What?

Why?

How?

I know Shiro was meant to die, but why bother showing me that and not giving me proper answers?

So the basic consensus surrounding VLD's epilogue is that it's bad. I agree. But I did like some things about it.

Pidge's ending is actually really good. I appreciate the Holts working together and making a training facility for future defenders.

Hunk's ending is perfect, and I think that's the only ending that was really thought about in the writer's room other than Pidge's.

Keith's is... fine, I guess? We need more humanitarian organizations, so why the hell not?

Biggest issues? Lance's and Shiro's endings.

While I am 100% on board with Shiro getting married to someone, it should have been that Roy from Macross stand in, as that would be kinda funny. Obviously changing that in my fixit fic because I'm a selfish bisexual. Also "leaving the battle behind"? Depends on how traumatized he is. I feel like him and the Garrison have a few more years together. He is their best pilot and I have a feeling the Garrison would shut down without him.

Lance's ending is an easy fix for me. Make him a fighter pilot. Ego is still there, but he's been humbled by his experiences. Whether he ends up dating Allura or not is up in the air.

I’m gonna go back to posting regularly on tumblr. This site is close to my heart and them memes, so once a week (Atleast) I’ll throw in a bit of my nonsense to extend the expanse of this rabbit hole of brilliant bullshit.

Is there any sort of Star Wars Fanfic writers' club on Discord or something where you can discuss ideas and talk about your latest fanfics? Or would anyone consider making one, I'm writing a fic and I want other writers' opinions, I don't know who to ask about this

Writing Tips - Masterpost

From someone with a degree in this sort of thing (the writing and editing, that is).

I've had a list of tips kicking around for the longest time, from way back in my earliest days of hanging out on Fanfiction.net and reading fanfiction day in and day out. I'm finally getting around to cross-posting my first Sonic the Hedgehog fic from Fanfiction.net to Archive of Our Own, and to spice it up a bit, I'm adding illustrations to the chapters as bonus content. Illustrations are definitely not going to be a regular thing with my writing, but it was fun drawing these up for this story, and playing around with quick-and-dirty (emphasis on both) shading for these.

Hello! Call me Sam! I am a 33-year-old fangirl who has been shipping characters for YEARS!!!! I am able to indulge in this lifestyle because...I am disabled...emotionally...yeah...

ANYWAY! Along with the shipping, I was writing Fanfics since I was in High School, but I had to stop because I lost Microsoft Word and my FanFiction.net accounts. Both of them...

Anyway, in 2018 I graduated from Full Sail University with a BFA in Creative Writing for Entertainment, and started going OVERBOARD on reading Fanfics, entering new fandoms, and rekindling the desire to write Fanfics!

Also, since I have a fixed income, I need to know any cheap options on writing software/work arounds to not being able to afford Microsoft Office...thanks in advance!

Have You Ever...?

To all the fanfiction writers out there, have you ever had a story idea so good, so well put together, only for your fans to try and dictate how "your" story should go and how you should update it? I have had that happen to me, and it worried me so much that I rushed to fit these desires and destroyed the story...it still bothers me to this day...

The lesson here is to write for yourself first. If people love it, then awesome! But if they try to write the story for you, then it won't be your story anymore. I understand that they are trying to show their love for your story, but it can murder a story if you're not careful.
