đ Song Recommendation: âDear Fellow Travellerâ By: Sea Wolf đ

Levi looked up from where he was sitting on the sofa in his loverâs office, reading a book, at the sound of (Y/N)âs pained groan. He found her trying to suppress a wince as pain shot up her spine, one of her hands reaching back to rub between her shoulder blades while she tried to focus on her work. Levi sighed. He knew she had injured herself somehow, either through training or on the last expedition, but she refused to tell him how or where she had gotten hurt. On top of that, she also refused to let him help her fix it, always batting his hands away and claiming she was fine. He knew she had a high pain tolerance, always had, but now he was getting annoyed with her. She just needed to shove down her pride and let him help her. She was human after all, she clearly wasnât immune to pain.
Despite her obvious discomfort, (Y/N) continued to work diligently. It was rare that she was working later than him, but lately more work had been dumped on her desk per her request, her way of trying to help her superiors by lessening their load. Levi couldnât help but feel pride swell in his chest as he watched her write. She was so hardworking, always trying to pitch in where she could. He knew she was tired, but she kept pushing herself to try to take some of the weight off the shoulders of her superiors, claiming they did way more than necessary and it should be no problem for her to help them out a little. She wasnât even a superior officer, still only a cadet, despite her older age. It was that determination and willingness to take care of others and work hard that drew Levi to her in the first place. It was also what was about to give her a promotion to Squad Leader, one he knew she deserved as he watched her tackle the horde of papers in front of her.

Uhh idk if your requests r open haha. Could you do one where the reader gets left behind from the trio in the underground, but then a few years later she gets captured and meets Levi againđłđđ
Ok....you guys are reading my mind I swear because I was thinking about doing something like this đ thank you for this request. Just for future reference requests are always open so ask me anything
Summary: you havenât seen Levi since he disappeared, itâs been two years since youâve seen your lover, until one day youâre arrested for your crimes in the underground and meet the man you love again with a little surprise for him
Disclaimer: I donât own Attack on Titan because if I did Levi would get his fucking tea shop and live happily ever after with his tea leaves. I donât own you because I donât want a pet human I also donât own the GIf below.
Warnings: swearing, sexual references, violence, angst I guess. Itâs me you know the drill
Please donât repost, reblogs are fine

Levi x Reader
The world had been your enemy ever since your unwanted birth. Born to a âwhoreâ on a cold winter night in the underground with nothing but an old towel as a swaddle to keep you warm had been your lousy introduction to life. Like everyone in the hellish underground you had been dealt an unfair hand, your mother neglected you and eventually drank herself to death the poverty and responsibilities having plagued her with depression. You had never once remember being hugged by her or told that you were loved, you had simply existed with nothing but pain and a frail body to show for it.
Your motherâs happily ever after found within the bottles of liquor had resulted in your miserable childhood of being a street urchin, half starved to death and stealing scraps that no one would even give their dogs, the world had shown you nothing but unforgiveness and a cold shoulder. You yourself had chosen to turn your back on any sign of joy, the bitter and twisted life you had lived depriving you of any and all redemption from the life you had lived. You didnât owe the world shit so why should you care?
However, in one sudden twist of fate the world had shown you a kinder side, maybe all the suffering and unfairness you had been dealt with had stacked up and pushed the scales in your favour. Whatever the reason, whatever power had moulded your luck, you had met Levi Ackerman and your life had never been the same.
Levi Ackerman had been you anchor for as long as you could care to remember. He was the shoulder you had cried on, he was the one who held you close at night, he was the one you could tell anything and everything too without the fear of being judged, he was the one you had fallen in love with and as a result he had become the very air you breathed. He was the joy you had had been deprived of, even in the misery of the underground Levi had been the sunlight you had craved for so long. You hadnât needed jewels or gold if you had that man by your side. Either cudldled up in bed or pressing kisses to his bare chest, Levi was the only ecstasy you had ever craved that no other thrill could possibly offer. Your whole having been living lower then a feral cat, treated with animosity and abuse that had piled higher and higher had left you feeling as if you never deserved anything other then inhumane treatment. But Levi? He truly made you feel human.
So why had he left?
You could still recall the day he had told you that he had a very particular mission, one that required him to go the surface. He had expected you to come with him and help like you always did but you had refused, having had a spells of illness and sickness you explained that you were not well enough to offer your talents with assassinations and that you would sit this one out. Very reluctantly Levi had left you behind in the underground swearing to come back and get you. You had waited patiently for your lover to return, counting the days until he would come and pull you away with him to the world above like he had promised ever since the day you met.
But days had turned to weeks and weeks turned to months and the months turned to years.
Eventually you had given up all hope that he was coming back or that he was even alive.
You had heard that Titans were merciless beasts and that countless men and women had fallen outside the walls in their wake, with a broken heart you had come to accept that the same fate had befallen the man you loved. It seemed the world had turned its back on you once again, itâs generosity had gone as quick as it had come and death had taken the only thing life had given you to love. You could have spent many nights crying over the unmarked grave Levi lay in, but in the underground nothing came to those who mourned, you had to survive. That was how it had always been.
The day you had decided Levi was dead you had held back the pain, standing in the kitchen of your apartment which your two friends, Isabel and Farlan, had also shared with you and Levi. Your eyes had burned with tears as the realisation dawned on you that whatever foolish hope you had of Levi coming was gone. You had tried to convince yourself that he was still alive, but if he was alive then that meant he had purposefully left you behind.
You didnât know which was worse to think about: Levi being dead or Levi consciously deciding to forget about you.
Whilst you had stood in the empty apartment you had swallowed your persistent grief, running your hand over your swollen tummy; whispering to your unborn baby that even though itâs daddy wasnât coming home, itâs mother would always be by its side. And although your head told you that he was more then likely deceased, your heart would always whisper late at night as you lay awake thinking, that he was still out there and trying to to find you again. Even if it was the furthest thing from reality.
That was two years ago.
Two years since you had last seen Levi and your friends. Life had dragged slowly by and as time went on you had regained your strength, the birth of your daughter having almost killed you and had it not been for Leviâs old thug friends, you feared you and your daughter would no longer be alive. Your status as Leviâs lover had put you high in the list of respected people in the underground, but your skill with a knife and ODM gear had only pushed you higher through the ranks, you were a feared assassin and you had taken down many military personnel, kingpins and black market traders. You had made a name for yourself and it had seemed to have reached the surface that there was a deadly killer loose in the underground.
Maybe that was how you now found yourself being dragged into the scout HQ. Your hands cuffed behind your back, your arms gripped tightly by two scout members as they escorted you towards the main build of the headquarters.
You remained quiet, your head bowed and your hair falling into your eyes not struggling against the men that roughly pulled you through the corridors of the scout base. You glanced around under your hair, your irises shifting to the corners of your eyes to glare at the spectating scout members who stopped in the corridors, watching you being dragged through the old stone milktart HQ. You could hear them whispering and it took all your strength not to pounce on them and put them in their place, to show them that there was reason as to why you were cuffed. With each step you took,l the cool metal blade of the knife you had tucked into your boot pressed against your calf, ready and waiting to strike when you saw an opening.
âYou got anything to say for yourself?â one of the scouts says as he walks you down a narrow corridor afew doors on the right side of the stones walls, candles burning in their bronze sconces.
You remain silent, keeping your head down glancing ahead of you through your hair to see a huge door at the end of the corridor with brass handles and two scouts stationed outside for security. You eyed them cautiously with each step you took, your fingers fiddling with something hidden in the sleeve of your trench coat, a small hair slide you had kept in a secret compartment within the sleeve.
âYouâre a widely wanted assassin you know.â the guard continues, you gently move your fingers upwards, the hair slide in your fingers as your try to slot it into the lock without them noticing, pushing through the pain in your wrists.
âYouâve killed a lot of our men and women, donât expect Commander Erwin to be forgiving.â
âItâs the captain you should be worried about. Youâve killed his men and he doesnt like good lives being wasted.â
âIf anything you should know the military police will want you hanged, so enjoy your last few hours of life.â The other guard sneers.
You ignore them, too engrossed with finding the key hole, your heart jumping in joy when you felt the hair slide slip into the key hole, you chewed on your lip as you jiggled it around, the guards not even looking. You could always rely on the ego of cocky soldiers to help you escape, they always thought they had won before the game was even beginning.
âThe bitch has a daughter too.â The first soldier sighed âstill too young to know whatâs going on.â
âGreat just what we need, the spawn of scum. The kids gonna have to be put into the system or something, either way sheâs screwed. She can thank her mother for that.â The second soldier sneered and it took all of you to not retaliate, you bit your lip harder as you twisted the hair slip a few more times, just a little bit more.
âI donât know why we bother with trials when we know theyâre guilty. This broad has killed more people then those damn Titans Iâm sure of it.â The second guard spoke, the first one laughed.
âMaybe we should just feed her to them. Seems fitting. A demon eating a demon, almost poetic.â
âYouâre full of shit Harold.â
You werenât listening anymore, not that you had before, instead you worked at the lock your fingers beginning to cramp from the excessive movement while cuffed. You had to admit the scout cuffs were impressive, they were probably the hardest lock you had had to pick in a while, it didnât matter though because after a few more jerks of the hair slide you felt the mechanisms grow loose; soon followed by a soft click that went unheard by the guards as they continued to jabber on, nearing the door at the end of the corridor. You kept your hands steady to prevent the cuffs from sliding off your wrists, you needed to wait a little longer. You raised your head ever so slightly to notice the men guarding the door were holding shot guns, a wicked grin already across your features as a devious plan spread through your mind.
And you began the countdown.
Five.
You dropped your head to hide the smile. Keeping your face neutral to conceal the escape plan you had forming.
Four.
You kept your heart steady, your mind focused to execute the daring deed. You needed absolute perfection.
Three.
Your fingers twitched getting ready to strike when ready, your body tembling as your heart raced with excitement.
Two.
The soldiers holding you stopped by the door letting the guards reach forward to open the doors back. Eyes taken off you for a second.
One.
You ripped your arms free from the scouts grip, the cuffs sliding from your wrists to the floor with a clatter. Before the soldiers hilding you could even react, you threw your hands out and grasped their hair, forcefully slamming their foreheads together. They cried in pain as their noses crunched upon the impact, thick scarlet blood spouted from their noses.
You thrust your arms forward, grunting at the soldiers dead weight as you threw their unconscious bodies at the two other guards with guns, the two men yelling as their comrades fell ontop of them, you watched them tumble and crash into the wall behind them, sandwiched between stone and unconscious soldiers.
Without time to catch your breath or sooth your already aching muscles, you snatched a gun from one of the fallen guards, both men groaning in pain from the collision. You raised the gun to your head butting the end of of the shotgun into the skulls of the two guards making sure they too were blacked out, ni sooner had you made the impact to their heads you took off down the corridor, not even looking back when you heard the doors open and shouts coming from the direction of where you had taken out the four men.
You charged through the corridors you had come through, your air flying behind you and your heart hammering in your chest as you pushed through any on coming scouts not caring to stop. You knew there would be soldiers chasing after you, you didnt have time to mutter an apology to the girl you had shoved out a window in your desperate scramble for freedom. Glass flying through the air as the girls scream ripped through the corridor, the scouts who had been chasing a few meters behind you stopping in their tracks to aid the girl who was hanging onto the window ledge. You only smirked to yourself as your boots crushed the shattered glass that now lay spread out on the floor, at least now you could run for a little bit longer without being tailed.
You growled when you heard a flurry of footsteps coming to the right, you glanced over your shoulder to see about six scout members hot on your trail. Shit. Looking around there was no where else to go, a barricade of scouts blocked the way forward, waiting for you and then the ones coming from the right staircase would corner you in a heartbeat.
Time seemed to slow, the shouts of the soldiers who had cornered you fading into the background as your heart beat hammered in your head, your breathing the only noise you could hear. If you carried on running straight you would be stopped by the barricade of men, if you went down the right staircase you would also be stopped, there was no escape back the way you came. You sighed as you realised your only escape was the left, a wall lined with windows. Luckily you still had one more trick up your sleeve, you could see the victorious glint in the soldiers eyes in the barricade up ahead, of course. Cocky.
âWe have her now men!â one of them cried out followed by deep cheers.
You shot them your own cocky grin, which they caught, the smig looks fading from their faces as they watched with wide eyes as you continued to sprint toward them. However, as you came parallel to the third to last window they were all the more surprised to see you reach for something under your trench coat, ripping the clothing off to reveal the ODM harness strapped to your body.
âShit! She has ODM gear!â one of the soldiers yelled but it was too late.
Your fingers twitched over the triggers of the ODM hilts shooting the metal cables from their holds and out through the window you were parallel to. Glass once again shattering and flying through the air in a twinkling flurry as the sound of breaking glass filled your ears, your body was lifted from the floor, the straps of the ODM gear pulling against your legs and torso as you were ripped off from the floor and out barrelling out the window.
You flew through the window, glass still falling around you as you were launcjed into the sky, your ODM drills tearing through the old stone in the towers of the HQ, the wind howling through your ears and hair as you swung meters above the ground looking for a good place to land. You could see troops making their way to the courtyards readying their own gear, you scoffed as you flipped around a corner, the straps of your harness rubbing harshly against your muscles as you glided over the turrets of the HQ. You allowed yourself a moment to regain your breath and gather your thoughts as you leapt from wall to wall, the gas from the canisters by your thighs, hissing as they launched you faster and faster through the air.
You needed to find Kuchel. You couldnât leave with out her. After you found her and escaped you didnât know what would follow, perhaps you would take your chances outside the walls? No. That was stupid. There was no way you could manage to care for a two year old and take down those monsters, you had admittedly never seen a titan but you knew they were not to be underestimated. You could probably live and run within the three walls, there was enough land to evade the military for a few years and if done properly, forever. But what kind of a life was that for your four year old? What would Levi do? Well for starters he wouldnât have gotten caught in the first place, you still couldnât believe you had managed to get captured. But it didnât matter, you needed to figure out a pl...
You saw them before they hit you, from the corner of your eye you saw a figure careen towards you, an emerald cloak flying out behind them, their face hidden under a hood, their ODM gear whizzing past you and securing itself into the cement fillings of the walls. An angered yell tore you from your thoughts and on instinct your fingers squeezed the triggers on the hilts of your ODM gear causing your own grapples to come loose from the walls. Using every muscle in your body aching as you twisted through the air, your body spiralling upwards narrowly avoiding the scout that had been coming for you. One leg stretched out infront of them, the other bent underneath their body, their torso leant backward to add streamline as they attempted to send their foot flying into your side. You remained calm as whoever it was flew centimers below you, your eyes trying to glance under the shadowy hood of the mysterious figure as the passed under you, their face raised to look up to where you twisted out the way, giving them a smirk as you saw their eyes widen from under the cloak hood before you were torn away from them, arching your self into a flip and launching your grapples into another turret and being whisked away.
You laughed as you saw whoever had tried to knock you down land into the side of the wall their grapples had been aimed at, their feet planted on the stone as they kept their gaze trained on you. You could see them watch you from their position and a sudden rush of arenaline coarsed through you, whoever was under that cloak was skilled and impressively fast, this would be fun. To see who could out wit eachother the longest, a contest of skill.
You laughed quietly to yourself as you continued to grapple tower to tower, you knew you would eventually win. You always did.
For all your whims and graces of believing the scouts were over indulgent you really were quite hypocritical, as you glanced back to where you had left the scout member who had tried to knock you from the sky your eyes widened to see the figure that had been perched on the wall was no longer there. Frantically your head whipped from side to side as you confined to swing ober tne Svout HQ trying to find where your enemy had gone, but with every desperate glance you couldnât find any trace of him.
Where were they?
BAM! You grunted in sudden pain as you felt something smash straight into your side causing your body to ripped from the air, the wind being knocked from your lungs as the soldier from before crashed into your side, his foot slamming into your back causing your line of trajectory to be thrown off and sending you hurtling towards the ground below. You could feel the figure pressing into you, his hands grasping your neck tightly as you both screamed towards the ground, you growled to yourself trying to launch your ODM cables but the old piece of machinery wouldnât listen to your trembling fingers as you pressed the switches over and over. The wind tearing over your body sending your hair flying into your eyes prohibiting your view of the man, he was still latched to your body.
Now inches from the ground a panicked cry left your lips as the man loosened his grip on you and pushed away from you, flying back into the air shooting his grapples and swinging out of the harm of crashing into the ground, his cape flying behind him like a majestic pair of wings.
You however had had no time to save yourself, your only instinct to cover your head and face as your body hit the ground, a gasp escaping as you continued to fall head first toward the ground. Painful throbs surge through your arms as they met the hard earth first, a burning coasting through your skin as the rough ground tore away at your flesh as you bounced along the dirt. Desperately trying to find your bearings you came to a stop, the wind having been totally knocked from you as a dull ache crippled every nerve of your body.
You lay gasping for air on the dusty floor, blood beginning to sleep through the cuts that now graced your face and arms. Your body shaking from shock as you clumsily got your feet, your legs weightless and light as you stood up, your breathing strained and raspy as you reached for the knife that was still tucked in your boot. Your eyes scanning the air for any sight of the soldier who had ploughed into you, the sky was once again clear and you tended bracing for any kind of surprise impact again. Gathering your last nerves you began to run, your numb feet pounding against the spinning world as you made a made dash, your fear was busted there was no doubt in your mind. Glancing ahead you could see some horses tied to a post already tacked up, you had never ridden a horse before but if you could grab one it could offer a valuable escape.
You internally groaned as the sound of ODM cables hissing meters above you could be heard, glancing over your shoulder you felt your heart brow cold at the sight of several scouts giving chase; their cloaks flying behind them and blades drawn as they swung down. You werenât surprised to see them, you had just hoped they would have arrived later rather then sooner, but you continued to run despite knowing you would be caught only stopping when the soldiers landed in circle around you, their hoods pulled back to reveal their faces. They drew their blades and held them out by their sides, metal clashing against eachother to pen you in as they stood with locked blades. Like a beast being caged you growled, spinning slowly in a circle to try and find a weakness in their barrier they had created. The knife still clutched in your hand, ready to cut anyone who made a move as your keen eyes desperately searched for a chink in the impenetrable wall they had created.
You didnât flinch when you heard someone land harshly behind you, instead you remained perfectly still, your back turned to whoever stood behind you. Not even batting an eyelid even as a gleaming silver blade was jammed over your right shoulder, your pupils shifting to were the weapon peered up at you, the silver flashing in the sunlight. The cool metal inches from your neck as whoever was behind you held their weapon to the side of your neck, daring you to move even an inch. You closed your eyes as you tired to steady your thoughts, your heart hammering in your chest as you slowly held your hands up, your elbows bent as you flattened your palms, the knife youbhad held clattering to the floor.
âItâs a good idea to surrender.â a voice spoke âyouâve just made my job ten times easier.â
That voice. You had heard that voice before, somewhere long ago. The breath caught in your lungs as you felt a sudden wave of nostalgia crash through you, a sense of familiar brushing through your mind. Did you know that voice?
Something buried deep inside you screamed yes, that voice was dull and void of any kind of enthusiasm. Instead itâs layers were dripping in cold malice as its owner pushed the sharp edge of the blade closer to your skin. But surely if you knew the man who owned the voice, he wouldnât be trying to kill you.
âYou think you could let me go?â you ask trying to glance over your shoulder at the man behind you only for the blade still lingering above your shoulder to flick upward and smack you in the cheek causing your head to jerk to the side.
âDonât be an idiot.â The voice drawled âyouâve killed good people. Youâre not going anywhere any time soon. If it was my choice I would kill you right here, but luckily for you Erwin wants you have a fair trial. Waste of time if you ask me.â
âI only did what I did to feed my daughter and keep a roof over our heads.â you spit, your brows furrowed into a scowl as you glared at your feet gritting your teeth as the memories of the night Levi left filling your head âI wouldnât expect you to understand, having been raised above ground your whole life. I bet youâve had everything handed to you.â
The man behind you was quiet for a moment. You stood patiently waiting ignoring the harsh looks of the soliders who remained around you, keeping quiet as they watched the scene play out before them. They were curious as to what their captain would do next, most assumed he would take you away and be dealt with by the law however some, the ones that knew him better then the others, could see him grow hesitant and the longer he stared at you the more he seemed to restrain himself from doing anything else. They didnât know what it was but something seeemdd off about the hardened captain, they were pondering what it was.
The soldiers had not been wrong to assume their leader was slightly off. Levi had you right where he wanted you, on the receiving end of his blade and surrounded by a ring of elite soldiers and yet, he couldnât bring himself to further command your arrest. Instead he found himself glued to the spot unable to do anything other then keep throwing taunting remarks towards you. He stared at the back of your head, your long locks of (y/h/c) hair resurfaced long lost memories he had long since thought he had repressed to the depths of his consciousness, but everything from the way that you moved to the way that you spoke reminded him of something, or someone, he had chosen to leave behind a long time ago. His grip on the hilt of his blade remained steady yet his heart hammered in his chest as he watched you cautiously, he had a theory as to who he was pointing his weapon at but he hoped more then anything he was wrong. He hoped that you were a stranger, an unfortunate coincidence that you resembled the woman he loved instead of it actually being her, because if it was her if it was (y/n), then he had failed and his choice to abandon you would have been for nothing. He prayed to any cruel power that would listen that he was wrong.
âI have a daughter.â you say drawing Levi from his thoughts, his glare relaxing slightly as you bowed your head, your face hidden under a curtain of hair âwould you make an orphan of her? Kill the only family she had left?â
âWhere is her father?â Levi asked calmly despite his heart that lurched in his chest.
âHeâs dead. Two years ago.â you whisper, you couldnât see Leviâs eyes widen his body growing cold.
He pressed his eyes shut, swallowing the lump in his throat. Two years ago. Was this another coincidence. No it couldnât be. He already knew who he was looking at, the flurry of emotions that wrestled inside him was indescribable, a wave of joy, fear, relief, hurt anything you could possibly feel was now crashing over him and ripping away his walls. He could tell you it was him, but he wanted to know how you felt about him, if he asked enough questions maybe he could grasp some understanding as to whether or not you would want to see him. If not he would remain hidden under the safety of his cloak hood and let you confuse to believe he had died, if you wanted to see him then he would reveal himself to you.
âBut you.â
Levi listens as you talk, picking up in his broken you sounded.
âYou talk just like him.â you release a small laugh âalmost identical. Apart of me think maybe thereâs a chance you are the father to my little girl. The man I love. But I know thatâs stupid. If you were him that would mean he chose to leave me behind. Who would do that? Who would promise to come back and then leave their pregnant girlfriend behind?â
Leviâs eyes widen from under the shadow of his hood, his heart clenched in a vice like grip in his chest. So that was why you hadnât come with him, Isabel and Farlan that day. Had he known he would have pulled you from the underground without a moment of doubt, it would have been reason enough to prevent you from becoming a scout and keep you safe for a little while longer. But he hadnât tried to reconcile with you, instead he had decided that it was safer for you to forget about him and not risk joining him on the surface where the Titans roamed. After losing Isabel and Farlan there had been no chance he would lose you too, he couldnât watch something happen to you. So as a result he had left you in the questionable safety of the underground, hoping you would be better off without him. And now here he stood, two years later with you on the other side of his weapon.
He retracted the blade from hovering over your neck and sheaths it, the scouts surrounding him looking on in surprise as their stoic captain lowered his guard.
âPetra.â he spoke his eyes never leaving the back of your head, you noticed a mousy haired woman perk up.
âYes captain?â
âTake everyone back to HQ. I can handle it from here.â Levi instructed, Petra seemed hesitant.
âBut captain...â
âThatâs an order.â
You watched as the soldiers one by one sheathed their blades and dispersed, walking away and launching their grapples into the turrets of the HQ. Silently, your eyes stayed trained on them as you watched the figures disappear into the sky and over the walls of the HQ leaving you alone with the Captain, you lowered your hands to your sides.
It wasnât Levi. It couldnât be Levi. You kept telling yourself over and over again that Levi was dead, that this man was unfortunately similar to your lover but was in fact not him. You didnât want to turn around, that would confirm that it either was or wasnât him and youâd rather be ignorant to the knowledge of Leviâs fate if it meant it would only cause you more pain.
It was quiet for the longest time.
âAre you going to turn around?â Levi asked after a while, you bit your lip.
âIf I do what will I see?â
âThe man you love.â
You squeezed your eyes shut, your eyes burning with tears as your legs buckled slightly a wave of weakness surging through you. It was him. Your fears were reality and now you couldnât bring yourself to look at him, you didnât wipe away the tears that fell from your eyes and ran down your cheeks as your throat became dry and your body trembled. You didnât know what you felt. Breathing became difficult and all you could do was gasp for air as salty tears still traced your cheeks.
âTurn around.â he pleaded.
âI canât.â
âWhy?â
âBecause if I do, if I face you, itâll become real. Itâll be proof you chose to leave me behind. A part of me wants you to remain dead.â
âAnd the other part of you?â
âWants to beat you senseless.â
âTch. I expected no less.â
âYouâre in no position to criticise.â you growl, your fists clenching, you hear him sigh.
âI guess not. Turn around (y/n).â
The moment his name left your lips an unbridled rage blinded you. How dare he beg you to look at him when he had left you behind. How dare he stand behind you and whisper your name as if nothing had happened, as if what he had done was forgivable. Before you could comprehend what you were doing your fist had moved on itâs own, lashing out as your body spun with no command to face him, your clenched fist making contact with his nose a deafening crunch echoing into the air as your knuckles cracked the joint in his face and his body was launched across the ground.
Blood flying through the air from his nose as he fell backwards instinctively reaching his hands behind his head to flip back onto his feet. You stood panting as your glared at him your fist clenched still and hanging by your legs as you watched Levi wipe the blood from his nose his hood having fallen back to reveal his face.
Your heart burned in your chest as you stated into his silver eyes, his hair still cut and styled the same way, ebony locks falling into his eyes like it had in the underground, his skin having been graced with a little splash of colour after four of years of living under the sun. He hadnât grown much in height but he had filled out in the muscle area, his body noticeably broader. His face had aged somewhat, his eyes graced with slight bags and his angled features having become more defined and his lips still perky and full. His eyes seemed fuller, as if the years had worn say any glint he had once honed in them. But of course he was still as handsome as the day you had met him and it tore you apart.
âYou son of a bitch!â you yelled storming over to where he stood wiping the blood from his face with his cloak, his face half hidden but his eyes locked with yours. You knew he could have easily avoided the blow you had aimed at him, you knew he had purposely not dodged he attack and you were glad he alllwwd you to inflict pain on him. It meant he knew he had screwed up.
âYou said you would come back!â you scream picking up your pace, Levi remains still waiting for you to pounce on him, he could see it the way you moved that you were going to attack again.
And you did.
You lunges toward him getting ready to pound your fists into his chest and face but as you moved towards him you felt your strength dissipate and instead your balled up fists loosened and slid around his neck, your lips crashing into his.
The instant his lips melted into yours his arms looped around your waist, fitting so perfectly it was as if they had always been there. He pulled you close I to his chest, your hands pressing into his pectorals feeling the firm muscle underneath, his cold nose brushing over your tear streaked cheeks as he continued to passionately kiss you. His lips tasted the same, minty and with a slight bitter twist that only made him all the more addictive, his soft lips moulding against your own as one of his hands to reach up grasp the back of your head his fingers tangling in your hair and pulling on the roots. Butterflies fluttered in your stomach and the anger you had fizzled and eventually died as he held you into him the way he had all your life. It was as if no time had passed and the world slipped through your fingers as he kissed you, your body growing light as he gently pulled away resting his forehead on yours, his hands resting on your shoulder blades as he kept you close to him, your own arms around his waist.
âI should kill you.â you whisper, your face scrunching up as tears continue to leak down your face your fingers gripping the fabric of his shirt from under his cloak as your legs buckle and he slowly lets you put all your weight on him as you bury your face into his shoulder and he rests his cheek on your head as he holds you tightly.
âLevi I should rip your head off.â you growl as you continue to sob into his shoulder âw-why would leave us? Why didnât you come back?â
Levi swallowed loudly as he just held you into him, his own tears spilling down his face any and all composure gone. It wasnât as if there was anyone there to see him break down and cry.
âI thought you would be safer if I left you behind.â he whispered into your neck as he nuzzled his nose into your locks of hair âI knew Erwin would make you a soldier and I couldnât risk it...I couldnât lose you outside the walls too, not after losing them.â
âWhat do you mean by âthemâ?â you ask, your voice trembling as you pulled your face out of his shoulder to look up into his sparkling irises as tears continued to spill down his cheeks, his jaw clenched and nose still bloodied.
You could feel the fingers of dread claw away at you, realisation setting in as Levi remained quiet. Your face growing pale and a cry left your lips, your legs buckling under you and you fell to the floor slipping through Leviâs arm to land on your knees your legs tucked underneath you. Your hands tightly grasping the grass beneath your feet as you shoulders shook, tears dampening the soul beneath you.
Levi watched you crying on your hands and knees and he lowered himself to kneel before you, his own lips trembling and eyes red from crying.
âIsabel...Farlan theyâre dead?â you ask through pained sobs raising your head to meet Leviâs guilt ridden eyes, his hair falling into his eyes and his gaze avoiding yours as he stared towards ground and he nods. Your eyes widen at his gentle nod and a stifled moan leaves your lips.
So they were gone?
âH-how did they...?â
âTitan.â Levi grunts and you nod.
âThatâs why you didnât come back for me?â you ask and Levi letâs his gaze return to you his sound shattering at the sight of you the break in your voice piercing his last few nerves of strength âyou didnât want me to have the same fate?â
âI thought I was doing you a favour.â he said quietly bowing his head to hide his tearful eyes from you âI thought you had a better chance of surviving if I left you behind. They would have made you a soldier. Had I known you were...that we...had I known you were pregnant I would have come back. They wouldnât have made you fight and things wouldâve been...â
He trailed off his brow furrowing at his incompatibility to form the right words and keep his tough exterior. Staring with starry eyes, your heart like a dead weight in your chest you continued to watch him as he kneeled in front of you, his body trembling cautiously you shuffled closer to him sitting your self up and moving his arms gently out the way to allow your body to press against his reaching up to make your arms round his neck.
Levi froze for a moment as you snuggled into his body, after the surprise of your affection he wrapped his arms around you as you pressed your face into his chest. His chin resting on your shoulder as he stayed kneeling with you hugging him from your position in the ground your legs tucked under your body.
âWhy didnât you tell me you were pregnant?â Levi mumbled his eyes closed as he clutched you into him the tears having slowed.
âI wanted to surprise you. When you came home.â you bit your lip to prevent more tears and sobs from escaping âbut you never did. You left me behind.â
âI know.â
âLevi you left both of us.â
âI was trying to protect you.â
âI know.â
You knew you should be screaming at him, maybe ruffle him up a bit more but you had never liked arguing with him. Even after having broken and tearing out your heart you already forgave him, was it weakness? Maybe. But you knew you were still so in love with Levi Ackerman, the nights spent in the thoroughly cleaned apartment, cuddled into his side on the sofa as Isabel and Farlan chatted with you, their laughs still ringing in your ears. You couldnât stay mad at him, he was the father of your child and your only love, he was Levi Ackerman the only thing this world had given you in a moment of generosity. While you were displeased at his decisions you knew that in time you would forget the pain he caused even if his intentions were pure, because time could heal what he had damaged.
You sniffled into his shirt as he slowly lowered his bent knee that held him up to rest on the ground beside his other knee to rest on his lower legs to get more comfortable as he kept you held into him. His strong arms warming your shaken body as they renamed securely around you, his chin resting in the crook of your neck just thanking whoever was listening for having you in his arms again.
âSo we have a brat of our own?â he asked softly after a while, you nod.
âA little girl.â you reply drying your eyes, your body gradually relaxing âKuchel. Thatâs her name.â
âYou named her after my mother?â Levi asked a flurry of fuzzy warmth surging through him, his heart swelling in his chest.
âOf course I did.â
âCan I meet her?â
âYour men have her. I donât know where theyâve taken her. Theyâll take me away too.â
At your words you heard a growl rip through his throat and his grip on you tightened. Like a wolf defending his mate and cub he would fight for the right to keep them even if he died trying.
âIâll sort it out. We can get Kuchel back and I can make a bargain with the commanders about your arrest. I promise you I wonât let anyone take either of you away from me.â he vowed, his grip on you loosening allowing you to pull your face away from his chest, he turned his neck to look at you.
As you stared into his eyes you noticed that dull edge had been replaced with a small glimmer. His once faded and tiered silver orbs now seeming to light up with new founded hope that you had always given him, the breath caught in your throat as he leaned down to press his lips into yours. The kiss was slower and filled more controlled want as he pulled you closer into him, breaking the kiss to then press his lips to forehead and ruffling your hair slightly like he did two years ago since falling in love with you.
âLevi please...â you whisper as you rest your head back into his shoulder the tears having all but slowed âplease donât leave me again.â
âDonât worry brat. Itâs never happening again.â
âGood.â
You remained clutching eachother for a time so king you had lost track. It wasnât until four scouts landed around you and Levi that your moment of ambience was ruined. The soldiers landed in a small diamond around you and your long lost love, not having a chance to react as one of them lunges forward to grab you sharply by the arm, ripping you from Leviâs arms and grunting as whoever had grabbed you pulled you into them o lay for their blade to be pushed to your neck.
Levi jumped to his feet, drawing his own weapon and holding it infront of the soldiers blocking him from letting the gleaming blade reach your neck. The soldiers eyes widened at the captain who blocked his blow, Leviâs strength causing the soldiers blade to clatter to the floor and in a moment the soldier dropped his guard only for Levi to pull you away from your attacker and move you behind him, his stance defensive and blades drawn by his side, ready to fight.
âCaptain Levi just what do you think youâre doing?â one of the soldiers spoke, he was tall with blonde hair and blue eyes, you noticed that Levi didnât have blades aimed at the man but the other three instead.
âThereâs been a mistake Erwin.â Levi spoke, his eyes cautiously watching the others âthis assassin is not my enemy.â
âWhat are you talking about Levi?â Erwin asked.
âSheâs killed over hundred of us. Hand her over captain, Iâll finish the job.â one of the other soldiers says his blades twitching and Levi snarls throwing an arm out causing his cape to fly out and shield your body as you stood patiently behind him.
âNo one lays a hand on her.â Levi snaps his eyes locking with Erwinâs âErwin. You remember when I first left the underground I said I had someone to come back to.â
Erwinâs eyes visibly stiffened, his mouth slightly a gape and his blue eyes widening as he glanced at you. You shoe him a weak grin which he didnât return, you couldnât blame him you had killed numerous soldiers. Mostly military police.
âLevi sheâs a dangerous assassin with crimes worth the death penalty fifty times over.â Erwin says âIâm not sure if I can get her out of this...â
âWhat are you saying Erwin?â one of the soldiers yelled.
âYouâre saying youâre going to pardon this murderous bitch?â the one who had grabbed you earlier yelled, you remained still as you watched the scene play out. You trusted Levi, he would get you out of this. You werenât afraid to accept the consequences for your crimes, but after finding Levi you wanted desperately to try and become a better person, the way he had. To be there for your daughter and start again.
Erwinâs mind was running on loop. He had always wondered who Levi had been referring to all those years ago, the man had said that he had wanted to bring someone else to the surface with him and Erwin had agreed but only once Levi and his friends had proved his worth. But then after the trios first expedition Levi had seemed reluctant to bring whoever he had spoken of so fondly above ground, Erwin had never pried but now he wishes he had. Otherwise he would have told his friend to re think his choices. But Erwin wasnât a monster, he had already assumed the infant he had taken into the Survey Corps custody was the spawn of the stoic captain, and he wasnât going to deprive Levi of a family.
âAll Of you leave.â Erwin said glancing around at the other three soldiers âand find the infant, bring her out here.â
Levi gave his commander a grateful nod which Erwin returns. The soldiers, although hesitant, didnât argue but you could see the disapproval in their eyes as they walked away. Erwin waited until they were out of war shot to continue speaking.
âLevi. I hope you know this wonât be an easy case to plea.â Erwin began as he sheathed his blades âI want to help you. I think having your family will be good for you, I can ask for (y/n)âs skills to be put to use on our branch of the military. I must warn you though I canât promise anything, and if she is allowed to join the fight for humanity she will be expected to join most expeditions.â
Levi nodded, so his fears were true. You would be put into harms way but there was nothing else he could do, Erwin was risking everything to help him. He couldnât afford to be picky. He glanced to his side as he felt you move out from behind him to stand by Leviâs side entwining your hand with his, your gaze meeting Erwinâs.
âYou would do that for me?â you ask quietly, Erwin looks you up and down his gaze softening.
âI may not like the way you made your living, but Iâm aware of the situation you were in. Until something is done about the conditions of the underground no one can expect everyone who lives there to lead innocent lives. Iâm doing this or my friend and his daughter. Iâm doing this so you can have a second chance. I warn you to not mess it up.â
âThank you.â you reply, cursing your weakness as more tears sting your eyes, you lean on Levi letting your head rest on his shoulder.
Erwin nods and you notice his eyes looking at something behind you. You raise your head off Leviâs shoulder to turn your head to look behind you to see a brunette female scout member with glasses and a ponytail walking towards you, in her arms was a small raven haired two year old.
Relief swept through your veins as you saw Kuchel safely in the womanâs arms. Levi turned beside you, his hand slipping out of yours to stare at Hange who carried his daughter towards him. You noticed that he had frozen, his body tensing and then relaxing his eyes wide and already brimming with adoration for the two year old, his jaw slightly slack as Hange approached a grin on her freckled face.
âKu...â you breath reaching out to take your daughter, Hange passes her to you and you hold your baby girl close to your body, pressing a kiss to her soft hair.
Levi stared down at the tiny human in your arms, his heart melting in his chest as her huge (y/e/c) eyes curiously boring into his own, her fluffy locks of raven hair unmistakably the Ackerman in her and her skin a fair as freshly fallen snow. This was his baby, his daughter who he was gazing upon.
Erwin decided that now was as good as time as any to leave the new father with his small family. As he passed the short, raven haired man the commander placed a hand on his friends shoulder giving him a reassuring smile which Levi stiffly returned belfry the blonde walked away dragging Hange with him, the woman crying that she wanted to watch the adorable scene before her.
Levi turned his attention back on the the woman and two year old next to him, watching lovingly as you cooed to Kuchel. He didnât know how to explain the feeling that surged within him, a feeling he thought he would never be privileged enough to experience again.
âDo you want to hold her?â
âWhat?â he asked snapping out if his internal monologue and you chuckled bouncing Kuchel on your slim hip.
âDo you want to hold her?â you asked again.
âI donât know how.â
âIâll show you.â
Levi hesitated, a prick of uncertainty clouding his mind. What if his daughter didnât like him? He wasnât exactly the most gentle person in the world he knew that, his hands were calloused and he had no clue how to properly hold his daughter. What if he dropped her or held her too tightly and hurt her?
But he didnât protest as you gently began to untangle Kuchel from your body and gently lifted her up and passed her to Levi, you could see the panic in his eyes as your hand left Kuchel and let him hold her. Gently you moved his hands to hold her properly, one of his delicate hands supporting her back and the other tucked securely under her tiny legs as he held her into his chest. It didnât take longer for the anxiety to be swept away and replaced with pure affection.
You watched as Leviâs stoic face slowly softened and a faint smile graced his lips as his daughter rested her face into his shoulder, her chubby toddler hands grasping the emerald fabric of his cloak as he bounced her up and down the way you had earlier.
âSheâs mine?â Levi asks as he presses his lips to Kuâs temple the child releasing a small giggle and you nod.
âYeah. Sheâs yours.â you say running a hand over her tiny back âDo you like her?â
âTch. Thatâs one way to describe it.â Levi mutters but despite his harsh tone you could see the sparkle in his eyes.
It may have been the world finally paying back for all the pain you had endured. It may have been that fate was finally on your side and granting you this moment of serenity as you watched Levi hold your daughter into his chest, or maybe it was just sheer luck. Whatever it was, whatever power had gifted you this, you knew that all the suffering had been worth it if it meant you could live these blissful minutes. Whatever the world had left to throw at you, you could handle it. Because you had him back, Levi Ackerman was apart of your life again. And youâd be damned if you ever let him go.

âListen, miss. If you donât leave right now, we will escort you out ourselves or call the police. Itâs your choice.â His deep voice growled.
Your shoulders slumped and tears spilt from your eyes, anxiety consuming you. âThis isnât happening,â you whispered to yourself, breathing uneven and your knees buckled slightly.

Hey I was wondering if you can make scenario where reader gets injured by a titan and it happens right I'm front of Levi and he kinda rages out also I really love you and your work đđŸđđŸâ€
My heart leapt I love this, Leviâs going to go beast mode on this mf.
Summary: After youâre almost killed by a titan due to an error with one of the cadets Levi is not at all impressed and makes sure everyone knows it.
Disclaimer: I donât own Attack on Titan I have neither the patience or skill or creativity to come up with something like that. I donât own you either because thatâs not something I think I would enjoy. I donât own the GIf below either.
Warnings: violence, swearing, sexual references yadda yadda

Levi x Reader
Your ODM cables hissed through the air as the grapples buried themselves into the rough bark of the trees that made up the forest you were now soaring through. The wind pulling in your emerald cape and your locks of hair flying around your face as you twisted through the wooden pillars, your body jerking with each movement of the harness, your weight shifting to allow you to whip through the canopy of the forest, your blades drawn by your sides as your fingers hovered over the switches on your blades hilts.
The thick canopy of emrald leaves above you scratching at your skin as you zoomed through the branches of the forest, pushing off their surfaces and zig zagging through the sky, the surrounding area a blurr of greens and browns. Ribbons of golden sunlight pooling through the gaps in the leaves, colouring the jade forest with splashes of warm yellow. You inhaled the crisp forest air as you were pulled into the direction of a tree, reaching your feet out so your boots made contact with the wood and pushing as hard as you could against it to launch yourself back into the air, the sound of grinding metal ringing through your ears as the gas propelled you further and further into the tree tops.
You swung meters above the ground, looping and arching over tree branches, your sore muscles protesting with each movement you made but you ignored it a smirk making its way onto your face as you spotted two titans ahead lumbering through the trees walking side by side, their thin and being skin shining a sickly pale in the sunlight that peaked through the thick leaves of the tree tops.
You glanced around the group you were travelling with, their hoods drawn over their faces and their own bodies twisting through the air as they skilfully manoeuvre through the maze of trees. Each soldiers blade glinting in the sunlight that snuck through the leaves causing silver shimmers to reflect on the surface of the forest with each movement, the weapons of the most elite steaming with evaporated Titan blood.
You can see Hangeâs ponytail flying out from under her cloak as she yells with excitement behind you, Petra and Oluo swinging to the left of you a few paces behind and Eld and Gunther are just a few laces infringe following the Lead of Erwin and Levi. There were a few cadets present too, Eren and Armin you know are somewhere in the group along with Jean, Reiner and Connie.
It was a simple mission really: take down any stray titans who were within a certain distance to the perimeter of wall Rose. There want any room for error it was that simple of a mission and with you one expertise it shouldnât be too hard. You would be back before lunch if things went smoothly.
âWe have two twenty meters!â one of the scouts behind you yelled.
â(Y/n)!â Erwin yelled from the front, turning his head over his shoulder to glance at where you were swinging a few meters back from him.
âOn it!â you replied, not noticing the concerned look a particular captain who was soaring in front you, his silver eyes watching you carefully as he stole a glance behind him to watch as he fell away from the group.
Your fingers clenched around your hilts as your grapples came free from their positions in the trees, your body falling towards the ground and away from the group as you flexed one side of your body to send it spiralling towards the ground like torpedo, the world spinning around you and the wind whistling past your ears. Your cloak flapping behind you and a few knots of excitement twisting in your stomach as you kept your eyes on the demons ahead, their backs exploded to you, their napes ready for your blades to cut.
Your fingers flicked against the cable switches on the hilts causing the thick metal wires to whizz out from their holders and each grapple embedded itself into the soft bark causing your body to be ripped from its line of trajectory, white had pluming from its dispensers and sending your flying towards the titans. With your blades drawn you narrowed your eyes as your body was launched towards the space inbetween their heads where you would pass, your grapples once again coming loose you were left to fly through the air raising your swords before raising your body sharply so your blades spun in a dangerous flurry of metal around you as each one made contact with the napes the two titans.
A weighty feeling came from your weapons as they sliced through the fragile flesh of the beats, deep scarlet blood splattering the air and staining your face and clothing, great plumes if hot smile looking from the falling titans necks as they crashed towards the floor, blood pouring from their open wounds you had inflicted upon them. The forest floor shaking as the oversized predators hit the floor, you grinned to yourself as you once again launched your cables higher into the trees to rejoin the scouts above you receiving praises from the younger recruits.
You glanced over to the man cruising along beside you, his face stoic as ever but you could see him give you a subtle nod. His own way of praising you for a decent kill, you gave him a small smile before falling back behind him to allow him to continue leading the mission with Erwin, your body being pulled by the harness as you fell back into position inbetween Petra and Oluo, your hair whipping your face as your cloak hood cosine contain the amount of hair you had.
âNice kill (y/n)!â Petra shouted to you and you nodded winking at her.
âIâve seen better.â Oluo called back giving you smug look, you have him a dead pan stare arching an eyebrow, he gave you a nervous smile âbut yeah...g-good kill.â
âI know you want to be like the captain, Oluo, but if youâre going to at least attempt to do a good impression stick to your criticism.â you say to the man, his face flushing beet red as Petra giggles to herself at her friends expense.
âI do not try to be like the Captain!â Oluo defends and a laugh erupts from your lips as you flip over a tree branch bridge resuming your line âitâs just so happens that we are both very stoic men who point out faults in others where they can improve. If anything the captain is trying to be like me.â
âOi!â
You, Oluo and Petra turn your attention to the Captain who had just shouted, his face turned back to stare at the trio, his eyes half lidded and ebony hair fluttering around his face as he continued to move through the trees, his cape billowing out behind him.
âShut up.â he comments in his dead pan voice before flipping through the air and continued on his path, hiding the smirk on his face when he hears your laughter rip through the forest once again.
It was no secret that Oluo liked to imitate the captain, and while the others said it was a form of flattery, you and Levi both agreed it was creepy. Of course the idiotic man meant no harm, through his acts but it still freaked you out when he tried to embody your stoic boyfriend and captain. You were often teased by the others that Oluo would try to take you from the captain just to push the likeness even further, Levi had shut that jeering down instantly and said that Oluoâs imitation of him would always be subpar because he had no chance with a woman like you.
But still, it was entertaining to say the least to see someone as extroverted and charismatic as Oluo think he could imitate the grave and deadly captain. It made cleaning so much more interesting to have Oluo try and act like Levi.
âOne abnormal on the left, about ten meters!â Jean yells.
You glance down to see a bizarre looking Titan with lanky arms and a big head making a mad dash through the trees, it was moving like some sort of frog launching itself from tree to tree, itâs lifeless eyes rolling to the back of its head to glance up and see you and the others. You grimaced when it stopped and stood to its feet beginning to crawl up one of the bigger trees, itâs grotesque hands clawing at the bark, itâs tongue hanging from its mouth as saliva drooled from its lips. Itâs pace began to pick up and itâs slow crawling suddenly increased to dart up the tree like a lizard, itâs legs speeding it up the tree as it reached a hand out.
You released a yelp as its fingers almost collided with you, thinking fast your own fingers twitched over the ODM switches causing your gas dispenser to change direction and push you over the outstretched Titan hand, your body arching over its finger tips as it made a swipe at you. Your heart hammering in your chest as you stole a look back, your eyes widening when you saw itâs eyes following you and it crouched again the trunk as if it was getting to junk onto the next trunk.
âErwin!â you called after your commander, the blonde man stole a glance over his shoulder to see the abnormal begin to leap from tree to tree in an art sky to catch up.
The commander glanced over to the captain who was behind him, Leviâs bored eyes meeting Erwinâs brilliant blues and instantly under stood what his friend was asking. Without even thinking Leviâs delicate fingers squeezed on his ODM levers and his trajectory was stopped, his body being repelled backwards as the others flew past him his eyes meeting yours in he seconds you passed before his grapples came loose and he backflipped through the air, arching his body around to face the abnormal head on.
It was inches behind him as he turned, itâs ugly hand outstretched once again to try and siege its prey but it clearly didnât know who it was up against.
Levi grunted as his cables launched through the air to grapple onto a branch meters above his head causing Levi to shoot upwards just as the titanâs hand closed around the space he had once been in. As Levi was pulled upward he pushed his body round in the air so his feet were facing upwards, his feet making contact with the bark before he pushed himself off it his grapples ripping from the branch and letting him free fall for a while.
Gritting his teeth, Levi pulled one blade behind his head holding it in its usual backward position, the other one out of infront of him held opposite to the one behind him. Eyes narrowed and mind focused on the exposed Titan below him, the Captain began to slim through the air his blades whipping around him in a glimmering blurr of silver as he fell towards the Titan his weapons soon making contact with the titans lower back, his body still rolling up and along the titans spine.
Blood flying everywhere as his blades slashed over the Titans skin pushing Levi closer to the nape, the Titanâs body falling Lino as the flurry of blades made contact to the sweet spot of the Titan and Levi launch led back into the air, a trail of steam chasing after him as the blood evaporated from his clothing. He fell back beside you, the echoing crash as the titans body hit the floor not even phasing him. You shot him a smirk.
âYou trying to out do me captain?â you tease as steak a glance over to where he swings beside you.
âThatâs not a hard thing to do.â he answers dryly forcing the urge to smile back down as you release a feigned hurt through and audible gasp.
âShow off.â you grumble and he gives a sly side eye.
âIf you want to get better brat you know what you have to do.â he says and you groan rolling your eyes.
âDonât say it...â you threaten and he scoffs.
âMore training.â
âUgh, you said it.â you grumble.
âYou canât expect results if you donât put the effort in.â Levi reprimands and you feel you earlier success begin to ebb away as you were given a lecture by your boyfriend.
âI put all the effort in, incase you forgot I was early to our last session. But you must remember that, surely.â you say coyly smirking once again as Leviâs fave turns a light shade of pink and be turns his head away from you to hide the blush creeping over his pale cheeks.
You were if cojrse referring to the time you had arrived to training thirty minutes early, only for Levi to end up dragging you away to the gear shed for a quick make out before the others arrived. Usually Levi didnât do anything that intimate outside a bedroom or his office, but seeing you sliding your ODM harness over your body and tightening the straps over your chest and ass had turned him on. He had to admit you did put a lot of work into training and your body proved it, something he had realised as he had run his lips over your toned biceps and stomach.
In fact, he could feel his breeches tighten slightly as his mind brought him back to the passionate moments spent in the gear shed which he quickly hid by pulling his cloak tighter around his body.
âRe group!â Erwin called out landing on a huge tree branch, his ODM cables sliding back into their holders as the commander stood waiting for his soldiers.
You watched as Levi landed on a branch below the one his friend stood on, soon followed by yourself your squad mates and the cadets. You stumbled forward slightly as your cables wobbled and Levi instinctively reached out hold you steady, his hands gentle on your shoulders as he helped you stand. You gave him a grateful smile and nodded letting him know you were ok as you sheathed your blades back into the scabbard, he nodded in response and pressed a quick kiss to your cheek before turning on his heal to talk to Erwin about the next steps of the Titan clean up.
You watched his retreating from as he grappled to where Erwin was on another branch above you. Sighing you reached a hand up to your cheek to brush where Leviâs lips had pressed against your skin a warm tingle spreading from the slight spark that came from the area where your lover had planted his ceal of affection.
It was rare that Levi showed public displays of affection, but sometimes if he was in a good mood or if he felt like he needed your touch he would allow himself to steal a brief moment of physical contact, whether it be hand holding or a small kiss or even a very very rare smack on the ass, Levi showed his adoration for you in his own Levi way.
âYou two are so cute.â Petra says from behind you, you feel a grin spread over your face and you turn to face her.
âYou think so?â you ask leaning against the tree trunk and folding your arms, Petra stands opposite you resting her mousy head against the tree trunk and pressing her body into it for support, her puppy dog eyes wide with adoring glimmer.
âI never thought I would see the Captain so happy.â she says quietly, your irises shift to state her from the corner of your eyes.
You could see it on Petraâs kind face that she was experiencing a range of emotions. Petra was not a bad person infant she had been your should hold friend, so when you looked into her eyes now you could see the disappointment that it wasnât her making the captain happy the way you did. Petra has had a crush on Levi for the longest time, ever since you had joined the scouts in fact she had oggled at the man non stop, it had broken your heart to tell her that you and Levi were romantically involved. But she had been supportive, something you admired her for.
âThank you Petra.â you say warmly and she gives you a weak grin, you place a hand in your hip and look out at the cadets who are trying to get there breath back either lying in the tree branch or hunched over taking heavy breaths.
You could remember your first few times out the walls. You had to admit though you had much better endurance then these cadets now, maybe they had slackened the training you would have to ask about that.
âYou think they can keep up with us?â you asked Petra a grin on your face and she giggled as she watched Connie panting like a dog as Reiner helped Armin stand to his feet.
âThey arenât doing so well are they?â Petra agreed her voice laced with concern, you yourself found it rather amusing.
âItâs not like we were so great outside the walls for the first time.â you shrug and Petraâs face creeps with a pink blush and she hides her face under her cloak hood, pulling the fabric over her hair.
âYou said youâd never speak about that again.â she whimpered and you chuckled.
âWhat that you pe-â
â(Y/n)!â
âIâm sorry, Iâm sorry.â you say placing a hand on her shoulder giving her a smile âI wonât tell anyone you peed yourself.â
You couldnât help the laugh that erupted from your lips as Petra shot you an attempt an angered glare, but the girl just couldnât look ferocious even if she tried and it only made the attempt at trunk to look scary even funnier.
âWhat are you ladies talking about?â Oluo asked making his way over with Eld and Gunther, you turned your gaze from your female friend to face the three men.
âNothing important.â you comment and you notice Petra ease slightly.
You wouldnât rat her out. You liked to tease her but you werenât a horrible person, at least not to your friends.
âItâs probably just girl stuff.â Oluo commented.
âOh yeah? And what girl stuff would we be talking about?â you ask folding your arms, Petra following your actions as you wait for some kind of sexist comment.
Oluo scratches the back of his head sweat drooling nervously, he glanced back to Eld and Gunther for support but they back off holding their hands up in surrender and he shoots you and Petra a weak smile.
âGirl stuff being about how awesome you too are.â he says and you give him a playful smirk nodding your head.
âCorrect answer.â you confirm and Oluo relaxes breathing a sigh of relief that he hadnât said something stupid like he usually did.
You were about to continue the conversation when a yell interrupted. You turned your gaze to were the yell had resonated, your eyes landing on Eren who was fiddling with his ODM straps, a panicked look in his green eyes as he pulled in his ODM harness. Your brow furrowed as you watched him struggle against the leather straps as he tried to adjust them. Was there something wrong with his gear? If so he needed to report it immediately. You glanced up to the branch above you were Levi, Hange and Erwin stood talking about the next steps of the Titan clean up, it was clear they hadnât heard the boyâs angered curses so as fourth in command you took it upon yourself to check out what was going on.
âExcuse me guys.â you mumble moving away from your squad members to check up on the young cadets.
You made your way carefully along the tree branch, the bark rough under boots and to anyone who hadnât trained in the military for years they would have fallen off. But you had excellent poise and balance so it didnât take long for you to each where the group of cadets stood, Eren to the side of them still violently pulling in his ODM gear.
âYeager!â you call out.
The cadets all turn to you and Eren stops pulling on his harness as his jade eyes meet your own. From above Levi breaks his conversation with Hange to steal a glance down to where he could see you talking to Eren, his silver eyes never leaving you as he observed his yoh handeled the situation.
âYeager is everything ok?â you ask stopping to stand infront of him, placing your hands on your hips.
âYeah, everything is fine.â he says stiffly and behind your back you donât see Jean shaking his head at his comrades dishonesty.
âIt looks like youâre having some trouble with your gear. You need a hand?â you ask again stepping forward to get a closer look, Eren backs away pulling his cloak over his body to conceal the ODM gear from you.
âNo really itâs fine.â Eren says and you pause your brow furrowed.
It wasnât a very convincing act to say the least and you didnât believe him for a second, but he was sixteen and you had to trust that he knew what he was doing even if it meant he would suffer a comcequence if he was wrong. ODM gear was a vital part of a soliders weapon arsenal, even less active members like the np and garrison had to keep their gear in pristine condition to avoid hurting themselves and more importantly others. You could see that Eren was growing annoyed with your pestering but you wouldnât risk the lives of your fellow soliders if one boy was too stubborn and prideful to admit that his fear had a fault.
âYeager Iâm going to ask one more time.â you say ignoring the scowl on his young face, you lean down to push your face into his slightly your eyes locking with his own to ensure there was no glimmer of untruth in his words âis there something wrong with your gear?â
Eren kept his gaze firm making sure his face didnât betray the truth. He knew he should be telling the truth, his candour would more then likely benefit everyone around him if he said that his ODM straps had a broken buckle and that his leg was slipping slightly from his harness which was causing his accuracy to be thrown off. But he didnât want to be sent back, he wanted to kill the titans and he didnât want to hear it from Jean later that he had pussied out, because knowing Jean that was something he would do.
âNo maâam. Thereâs nothing wrong with my gear. I was just having trouble tightening the straps, itâs sorted though.â Eren answered and you arched a brow but didnât say anything else in the matter.
You nodded standing to your full height, you stole a glance up to see Levi from above watching the scene, you gave him a look that told him that you didnât believe the boy. Levi nodded which you knew meant he would keep an eye on Eren, the young Titan shifter was impulsive and drama often followed wherever he went; Levi wouldnât put it past Yeager to lie about something like malfunctioning gear, the boy was desperate to taste Titan blood to the point that Levi was concerned.
âAll right, lets carry on. Only a few more areas to cover!â Erwin yelled down from his tree branch flipping his hood back over his blonde head, everyone else followed suit.
The familiar sound of ODM cables and gas rung through the forest once again as Erwin launched from his position on the tree soon followed by Hange soon followed by everyone else the wings of freedom on jade cotton flapping through the air once again.
You pulled your blades from their scabbered, your fingers automatically twitching again the cable switches and your felt your harness be pulled right against your body as the cables whizzed out from the holders and ripped you back into the air. Your gas once again hissing as it pushes you higher into the tree tops careful to keep your blades a safe distance from your body as you swing through the forest.
It didnât take long before more titans were spotted, this time there were five of them, two twelve meters one five meter and a fifteen meter.
Five wasnât a small amount of titans but you had dealt with a lot more and a lot worse in the past, these ones seemed like normal titans with no intelligence or ability to climb trees. It should be an easy kill.
âSquad Levi!â Erwin called out causing your attention to be drawn to the commander âthereâs one for each of you. Levi stay with me I see three abnormals ahead. Cadets stay by Squad Levi should Things go wrong.â
âYes sir.â the cadets chorused as the split into separate directions to soar above the titans were you and your squad mates would be.
Levi gave you a curt nod as he flew beside you, his sliver eyes hidden under his onyx hair and his face unsmiling as he followed behind Erwin and Hange to take care of the abnormals ahead.
Your cables unhooked from the trees and you were swung high above the others, a few tree branches scratching your face as you were launched skyward the others a few paces behind you. In a flurry of fingers your digits flicked against the switches once again to change the direction of the gas, the dispenser spinning around to push against your upward direction, a plume of white air escaping from the gas chamber as you arched your body, your back bending over itself to have your body arch in the air and cause you to be sent falling back toward the titans below.
You held your blades tightly in your hands as they glistened with anticipation at getting to cut more titans down, an eager smirk on your face as you fell towards the prey below beginning to spin your body and raising your blades to become a Catherine wheel of sharpened metal as you careened towards the titans the world spinning around you.
You grit your teeth as you inch closer counting the seconds until contact.
Five.
Ten meters.
Four.
Seven meters.
Three.
Five meters.
Two.
One meter
One....
A shriek escapes your lips as something slammed into your side, your body being torn from its direction as whatever it was that had smashed into your side sent you hurtling through the air a pained gasp slipping through as your side throbbed with a dull ache and the air was ripped from your lungs. Whatever, or whoever, had crashed into you was tangled in your cables causing their hands to grasp your cloak and their body to be pushed into yours.
The world was blurry as you screamed towards the trees being thrown meters from the titans that your squad was taking down, their yells after you falling on deaf ears. Your muscles tensing as you braved for impact unable to move your fingers due to the shock, a nauseas feeling sweeping through your stomach.
You tried to peel your eyes open against the chilling winds that ripped through your hair and over your skin, your eyes watering and instantly slamming back closed as the harsh winds pricked at your eyes.
Whoever had slammed into you had managed to free themselves from your cables and had managed to launch their grapples in the air and save themselves but not quick enough to save you too.
An ear piercing screech left your lungs as your right shoulder made contact with the gnarled bark of a tree sending an explosion of pain through your right side that burned your nerves as the rest of your body made impact with the hard surface.
Blinded by pain, your body repelled off the tree and you were left to fall to the ground, your right side slamming into the earth below and your aching body sliding along the ground as dirt and grass flew around you a large trail of upturned dirt marking the path you had crash landed.
Mud caked your skin from having ploughed into the ground, half your body pressed into the grass and blood staining your cheeks from various cuts and bruises that littered your skin. Laboured breaths left your lips as you lay on your side gagging on the air, your body shaking from shock and your eyes unblinking. Heart pounding in your chest and blood pounded against your skull, a dull ringing filling your ears as you tried to gather any and all strength you had to try and stand.
âUgh.â you groaned, your arms shaking beneath your weight as you tried to sit yourself up, scarlet blood sliding down your forehead and stained the grass below, a rusty smell filling your nose.
â(Y/n)!â
You blinked slowly as the sound of Guntherâs voice filled your clouded head, groggily you looked up to try and see where your squad mates were but you couldnât see them in the trees and you couldnât find the titans either. How far had you fallen?
Well it wouldnât do you any good to stay on the ground, you needed to get airborne again and find your bearings. These woods were crawling with demons and you wouldnât stand much of a chance against one should one of them find you.
Inhaling one last shaky gasp of air you tried to get to your feet, the world spinning slightly and your muscles screaming in protest as you got to your heavy feet stumbling from the disorientation.
You squeezed your eyes shut taking steady breaths the dull ringing still shattering in your ears.
âOk, easy girl.â you whispered to yourself as you peeled your eyes open, the trees looming above you like great beasts âok. One thing at a time, get to the trees again.â
Slowly with a trembling hand you reached down to grasp your ODM hilt gasping as shooting pain came through your arm, why couldnât you move it?
âFuck!â you seethed clutching your arm with your other hand, your right shoulder must have been dislocated from the impact. But it meant you couldnât move your arm and that meant you were stuck on the forest ground, with titans lurking in the trees.
This wasnât good.
...
âWhat happened?â Levi asked, his voice stern as he looked at the faces of the cadets and his squad mates.
The bodies of the titans below already beginning to evaporate, hot steam clouds rising into the trees where the scouts were perched.
Levi had heard the screams and had instantly recognised them as your own, he had instantly turned around and headed back to where he had left you and his squad only to see that four of the five titans had been killed and that you were missing from the group. At first he had thought the worst upon your absence, but he had been quickly told that an accident had happened and that your squad mates had seen you get pulled from your position and had disappeared into the trees.
The captain had yet to discover what exactly had happened but he wasnât too concerned about that, his only priority was to find you and make sure you came home with him. Although he noticed that Eren had been rather quiet and that he remained at the back of the lack as if seeking protection and all to soon it clicked in his head and he could see that Erenâs harness was broken.
He could deduce what had happened without having to be told.
Rage wasnât enough to describe what he felt, his steely eyes locking with Erenâs and before he could control himself Levi had lunged towards Eren only for Eld and Gunther to instantly reacting and blocking the manâs path to lash out at the boy. Eren stumblwd backwards, his huge eyes frantic in fear as the furious captain glared at him as Oluo tried to hold him back.
âWoah captain itâs ok.â Oluo said trying to sooth the shorter man.
âShut up Oluo.â Levi growled his dark eyes meeting with Erenâs again, his fists clenched as he regained control of himself trying to calm his breathing
âYeager, if we donât find her you had better pray that I donât kill you.â he growled darkly, his ever unsmiling face seeming to look more angered then usual.
âY-Yes sir.â Eren stammered.
Levi grunted, launching his grapples into the forest, turning to face the others as he pulled his cloak hood over his head.
âMy girlfriend is missing and one of those damn titans is still wandering around here along with others. Find her.â Levi ordered âKirstien stay here with Yeager.â
âYes sir.â the scouts chorused shooting their own grapples and launching from the tree leaving the two boys behind.
Levi presses his eyes closed as he soared through the air trying to push down the anxiety swelling in his chest.
âCome on brat where are you?â he muttered to himself as he glided through the trees.
...
âFuck!â you growled again as you limped along the ground.
Your gear was busted. So busted it didnât matter that your arm was fucked up too, the cables had been caught in the inner cogs off the individual cable expellers, you were a flightless bird stranded on a floor filled with hunting dogs.
Your body was numbed with pain and had it not been for the adrenaline you feared you wouldnât be able to move.
You didnât know where you were going and you figured it would have been better to stay where you were so if the others came looking for you then at least they might be able to find you quicker. But then again staying still meant that it was more likely foe titans to find you. Training had not prepared you for this kind of situation, maybe Levi was right maybe you should do more training.
You smiled to yourself as your mind brought you back to the man you loved. The only thought had given you motivation to move had been giving you strength was of Levi, you had kept asking yourself: what would Levi do?
You knew that man could survive anything, if you thought like him and acted like him then maybe you could make it back to the group. Maybe that was why Oluo liked to pretend to be the captain? No. He wasnât that smart.
âOk, you can do this. What would he do next?â you thought to yourself as you continued to slowly walk through the forest your eyes scanning for something anything to show you the way back, your injured arm supported by your other one.
âLevi would...he would....if the others killed the titans then there should be steam from the skeletons. Look for steam. Yes that right.â you mumbled to yourself as you turned around to try and locate any traces of Titan steam your heart lifting when you saw trails of greyish steam twirling through the under growth of the forest.
A smile of triumph worked its way into your face, your pace quickened as you made your way to where the steam was closing a certain area of the forest, that must have been were you had come from before you were knocked from the sky.
With new found optimism you continued through the forest, the grass soft beneath your boots and the blood having dried on your skin no longer falling into your eyes.
You had to admit that you were surprised you hadnât run into a Titan yet, was it luck or just amazing timing? Either way you were relieved that the world was deciding to show you a kinder side, things were looking up and as you made your way through the trees you began to notice the beauty of the forest.
You hadnât ever noticed the patches of spring flowers that spring from mossy rocks or how birds flit from the tree branches, their tiny blue wings flashing in the light as they chirp. Had you known that this world wasnât a waking nightmare, you would have thought that it was beautiful. But as usual in this infested paradise, something sinister was always lurking in the shadows.
Maybe thatâs why you werenât surprised when the ground began to shake, the air leaving your lungs as a sick feeling of chilling dread filled your body.
You knew why the ground was shaking, there was only one reason the ground would ever shake like that, you could feel each step the giant behind you took and you couldnât help but gasp as tears prickled your eyes as you gathered the courage to turn around and face your death.
Your legs were heavy as you mind screamed at you to run but your feet remained planted to the ground as you trembled in terror at the Titan that was stumbling towards you. Itâs thin lips spread into a twisted grin displaying a set of blood stained teeth, itâs lanky legs clumsily bringing it closer and closer to where you stood staring up at in fear. Dirty locks of brown hair swung around its ugly face, itâs body was long with purplish veins protruding from its skin, itâs fingers caked in mud as it stumbled closer and closer, itâs body swaying as it neared. Itâs eyes were blood shot with pinprick irises. Lifeless and cold, itâs eyes were empty if any sigh of conveying emotions other then a want for human flesh. Your flesh.
âGod no.â you whispered, your heart pounding in your chest so violently itâs made you grow faint as your mind continued to urge you to run in the opposite direction but what could you do?
What would Levi do?
You glanced down at the scabbards on your hips, the blades they concealed almost winking at you. You growled as you shifted your arm the searing pain shooting through your dislocated shoulder as you moved your left hand down to pull a blade free from its position in the scabbard, the sound of metal scraping echoing in your ears as you unsheathed your weapon.
Ankles. Aim for the ankles that was your only chance. Slice itâs ankles and send to to the floor.
Your fingers danced over the switch to release a cable, one should be ok to use is the other was left alone. You would have to say close above the ground and get the precision right, the timing had to be perfect.
Releasing a pent up breath of nerves your fingers pressed the switch and the cable exploded from the expelled attaching to the base of a tree about twenty five meters from where you stood pulling you off the ground.
You tensed you body pushing past the pain as you were pulled inches above the ground, your body skimming over the longer blades of grass, your hair flying behind you as you raised your one blade to your face getting ready to land a blow to the titans ankles and you began to count down.
Three.
Four meters.
Two.
One meter.
One.
A yell ripped from your lips as you swung the blade down, the sharp metal slicing through the titans ankles blood pouring into the air and over your face as you careened past the monster, with one last bout of energy you pulled your body so your feet planted into the base of the tree. You panted as you stayed positioned on the tree, your feet on the bark and your body sideways as you turned to look over your shoulder still suspended a few inches above the ground.
You watched as the Titan fell, itâs huge body crashing into the floor below.
Loud pants left your lips as you dropped to the floor too, your legs buckling underneath you from exhaustion as the pain settled back in again, the adrenaline once again seeping away. You still had to slice the nape of the neck and stop the monster from regenerating but your eyes were growing heavy with exhaustion, your muscles turning to stone with each attempt to rise to your feet.
âNo shit, no.â you hissed as you fell backwards, you back slamming into the tree to keep your body sat upright.
Your blood stained cake crumpled beneath you, your jacket as you tried to move but your body was stubborn âno this canât be happening. What would Levi do? What would Levi do?â
Levi wouldnât have gotten himself into this situation in the first place. No amount of training you did would ever make you come close to his skill. Now you would die here, in the jaws of a Titan.
Through groggy eyes and laboured breaths you watched as the Titan got back to its feet, itâs ankle having slightly healed and now dragging itself along the floor towards you. The ground clenched under its hands as it dragged itself along the ground towards you, an ungodly hand reaching it infront of it to try and grab you itâs hands edging closer as the beast slowly moved closer and closer.
What would Levi do? What would Levi do? No. What would (y/n) do? You had no means of movement, no way to get up and fight like you had before, you only had one option left and this would either be a huge mistake or your saving grace. You inhaled one last final breath filling your lungs with air.
âLEVI!!!!â
...
Levi stopped mid air, his feet slamming into the side of a tree to halt himself, the others following his actions and landing in the side of the tree with him, suspended meters above the ground.
He glanced around from under his cloak, his eyes darting around the forest in desperation. He had heard something, he wasnât stupid he knew when he heard something especially if that something was you.
âYou found her captain?â Eld asked, Levi didnât answer instead he raised a hand to signal for silence, his blade glinting in the light as it moved.
He clenched his jaw as he focused, hoping that he was right and it had been your voice he had heard. He prayed it was you he had heard, the last minutes of searching had been agonising for him and although he had kept his emotions on a tight leash, beneath the calm sea was a raging storm.
âLEVI!!!!â
There!
â(Y/n)!â he yelled instantly launching from the tree and taking off towards where your voice had come from, the others sharing glances belfry following after him.
Levi flew faster then he ever had through the trees to try and reach you, praying he could get to you in time. Judging by the sound of your voice as it echoed through the forest, you were in danger and heâd be damned if he ever lost you.
...
You couldnât think straight.
Your back pinned into the tree as you sat gasping for air, the shooting pains ripping through your body as you stared the Titan in the face as it crawled nearer and nearer, the forest floor churning under itâs body as it crawled closer. Itâs dead eyes filled with nothing but the desire for human flesh. Your flesh.
Calling out for Levi was all you could think of doing, crying for the man you loved. The man who had always protected you and cared for you, his name having left your lips with nothing else to save you, you cousins save yourself this time and Levi was the only thing that gave you hope but it seemed these were your final moments.
âLevi where are you?â you whispered aching for the man you had fallen in love with.
You knew there were other titans wandering through these trees, your screaming would have undoubtedly alerted them and if Levi had heard your screams for his protection then it was a race between him and the other demons who roamed the earth. It was a losing game, you were the prize and it seemed Levi would lose .
You glanced up with tears eyes as the Titan was too close for your liking, your body frozen in fear and exhaustion.
Is this what your fallen comrades had seen before they had perished? Had they too felt the empty feeling of hopelessness? Had your fallen soldiers stared death in the face like you were now with fear or honour? Knowing they were going to die for the good of humanity had they been afraid? You were afraid. Did that make you a bad soldier?
You had known death was an occupational hazard, you had never expected to live this long but now you could see your death dragging itself towards you and your years of training slipped from your mind. You didnât want to die, you had only wanted adventure with the adrenaline of the chance of not coming home lingering over your head. But now it seemed the adrenaline had been spent.
Terror sinking in as you realised that your hour glass of life had shattered, the last grains of your time on earth slipping through your fingers as the titans beastly hand wrapped around your fragile body.
Its fingers squeezed tightly around your trembling frame, your shoulder crying in pain as it was crushed against the palm of the Titan. A weightless feeling falling over you as you were lifted high into the air, your feet dangling in the air and the green forest floor being left behind. Your ribs almost breaking from the pressure of the titans grip, the sensation of the air being pushed from your body causing a bile to rise in your throat as you tried your hardest to try and think of a way out but your mind was numb with only an intent to try and free yourself.
The Titan opened its mouth to reveal a cavern of teeth with a disgusting tongue riddled with putrid saline awaited you, your eyes wide in overwhelming petrification as the dark abyss of the titans mouth as shown to you. Your demise waiting at the bottom of a ghastly throat.
Five meters.
The Titan brought you closer to its mouth, which widened even more.
Four meters.
You squirmed in its grip, tears running down your face as you found a will to try and escape.
Three meters.
There was no point in trying, your hear was crushed and you could barely stay awake. Why cousins you scream? You opened your mouth to shout holding anyone could save you but no noise came out, only a breathless rasp.
Two meters.
You could smell the titans breath, like rotten meat and you gagged on the vile smell, your eyes blurring with tears as the Titan pulled you closer and closer, your feet inches from its lips.
One meter.
You squeezed your eyes shut, bracing your self for the pain of being cut in half by carnivorous teeth, tears streaming down your face as you turned your face into your shoulder the smell from the titans mouth over powering.
âLevi I love you.â you whispered.
...
â(Y/n!)â
Your eyes snapped open as a familiar voice rang through the air. Your eyes scanned up to the sky, relief flooding your veins as your saw Levi careening towards the Titan, his blades drawn high and ready to strike, his cloak billowing behind him and his hair around his eyes as his grapples hooked into the tree behind you as he flew towards the titans nape.
The anger on Leviâs face was nothing like you had ever seen on the captain, his sliver eyes narrowed into a fierce glare, his grey irises rippling with pent up aggression and terror at having seen you so close to death, his usually pouty full lips pulled back into an animalistic snarl, his teeth gritted and clenched as he began to spin through the air, his blades flashing in a metal blur as they came into contact with the titans back.
The moment Levi got in range of the titans flesh ruby blood flew through the air, Leviâs rage evident as he shredded the Titan to pieces bits of steaming flesh crashing through the trees, Leviâs enraged yells echoing into the forest as he shifted his body, his gas pushing him faster across the titans back and great plumes if steam billowing into the air as Levi sliced the nape of the neck.
Finally finding your voice you shrieked as the grip around you loosened and you felt yourself slip out the titans fingers, your body once again falling to the ground as the Titanâs body collapsed over you, your form being chased by the deceased titans body as it fell after you. Once you hit the ground, if you survived, you would be crushed by the Titan corpse you hadnât escaped the threat of death yet. You tensed your body, your heart like a humming birds wings in your chest as you plummeted.
âNrrgh.â Levi grunted as his cables dig into a new tree opposite from where you are falling, the metal wires zooming past you and he zooms towards you his arms outstretched and wrapping around your body.
You gasp as you are slammed into his firm chest, he carried you bridal style through the air and as the terror subsides you wrap your arms around his neck, burying your nose into his chest as sobs watch your body inhaling his warm scent.
Levi steals a glance down at you in his arms, you hide your face into his chest and he tightens his grip around you, his own anxiety and fear still shaking in his mind. He pressed a reassuring kiss to your forehead as you cried into his shoulder, his ebony hair whipping into his eyes as he neared the tree.
As gently as possible he landed on the side of the tree, bending his legs to allow you a perch to suspend your body on, he stays suspended against the tree and allows you to continue to cry into his shoulder, his calloused hands running soothing circles in your back with one arm looping around your slim waist as he presses his lips continuously against your temple.
âItâs ok, youâre ok.â he whispers in a voice so gentle itâs unbelievable itâs his, you donât say anything but let out all your pre experienced fear out in the form of tears.
Levi pulls you closer to his chest resting his sharp chin on your shoulder as he continues to whisper words of comfort into your ear. His thighs under your behind as he keeps his feet planted against the tree, his breathes falling ainât your skin as the adrenaline and shock ebbs away.
âLevi I-â you whisper pulling your face out from his chest to stare up at him.
He only stared back but you could see the rage from before had ebbed away, his blood stained face shimmering with steam as the Titan blood evaporated from his pale skin. His eyes sparkling with unfallen tears as he held you tighter into his body, swallowing loudly as he nuzzled his nose into your hair.
âItâs ok. Iâm here now.â he muttered reaching a hand up to grasp the back of your head, his fingers lacing in your hair as he pulled your head back toward his chest, your cheek pushed into his firm pectoral as he rested his chin on top of your hair a tear sliding from under his closed eyes.
âI thought I was going to d-die.â you whimpered.
âI got you brat.â Levi sighed his mind trying to ease his tense body, he had seen you almost being eaten, almost devoured like everyone else he loved and the anger that had built up in his body and soul had been overwhelming. His only thought had been to save the woman he loved, to pull you from death.
âYou came.â you breathed into his shirt âyou saved me.â
âTch. Of course I did. Iâll always save you (y/n).â
âPlease Levi please, donât leave me again.â
The breath hitches in Leviâs throat. He had never seen you so vulnerable before, your usual playful and tough exterior stripped back from the nerve shattering experience. His heart almost breaking in his chest as you begged him to stay with you, his grip on your hair growing tighter once again pressing more light kisses to your hair.
âI swear. Iâll never leave you, Iâm here. I love you ok? I wonât let anything happen to you.â
You nod wiping your eyes dry and pressing your face into the fabric of his shirt to dry them more, Levi didnât seem to care his only concern was your well being at the moment. If you got snot on his shirt he wouldnât mind, that was how much he loved you.
You sniffled once more and regained your composure, the aches and sharp pains returning to your dislocated arm causing you to moan in pain. Leviâs brow furrowed as he allowed you slip from his grip to lean back into the tree, he glanced down to see you clutching your sore arm.
âWhatâs wrong? Are you hurt?â Levi asked, a new found concern in his voice as he raised a hand to touch your shoulder and you allowed him, sucking in a breath as his fingers brushed the joint that had popped from its socket.
âItâs dislocated.â you say wincing as he grips his in his hand.
âSorry.â he mumbles his grip not lifting and you know what heâs going to do, he stared you in the eyes as if asking permission and you bite your lip nodding âthis is going to hurt, ok? On three.â
âOn three.â you repeat and Levi nods as he shifts your arm slightly pain slicing through you again.
âOne...two.â
You yell in agony as Levi jerks your arm up and pushes against it, a loud pop resonated from your joint as the bone was pushed back into the socket, the pain ripping through you in pulsing waves and you hiss gritting your teeth slamming a fist into Leviâs shoulder. He lets you take your discomfort out on him and your fist connects to his shoulder to grip the fabric of his cape as the pain sears.
âYou said on three you dick.â you moan rubbing your arm glaring as Levi gives you a small smirk.
âItâs fixed isnât it?â he drawls ruffling your hair, you stick your tongue out at him.
âThatâs not the point. Thereâs an element of trust.â you grumble and Levi huffs, leaning in to rub his nose into your cheek in a rare moment of affection.
Levi didnât know how long he had stayed with you pressed up against the tree, the Titan carcass rotting in the floor below with his arms wrappers around your trembling form. He knew he had new r been so scared in his entire life, to see you so close to death made him realise how much he cared for you and how far he would go to save you every time you needed him to.
Yeager would be getting stable duty until the sweet release of death.

The next day, Erwin woke up early to visit (Y/N) one last time before he had to hand her over to the MPâs. He sighed in disappointment. He thought he had been getting through to her, especially after she had given him her name, but he was left with nothing but false hope when she remained adamant about not answering any of his questions. He ran one of his large hands through his blonde locks in frustration as he made his way down the stone steps into the gloomy dungeon below.
He had no idea why he felt so conflicted when it came to this woman, why he had a feeling she was a better person than she was letting on. His heart battled with his brain as he walked, causing him to groan when he felt a headache begin to form. Why did he feel like he was missing something? Something important? He knew she would be a valuable asset to the Survey Corps if she cooperated, her strength rivaling that of Leviâs which would give them two vital weapons on the field. And he was sure that under Leviâs supervision she would flourish, maybe even develop a friendship with the sullen man. Maybe thatâs why he felt so strange, because it was a missed opportunity?

Levi felt like he was experiencing deja vu as he glanced around the courtroom from where he stood beside Erwin, waiting for Hanji to come back. Only, he felt a lot more nervous. The first time, he had felt nothing but an impatience to get the event started, his eyes hard and cold as he had looked down at an immature, green-eyed brat who could turn into a titan, waiting for his future to be decided as either a useful tool for humanity, or a human experiment to be tortured in a lab. Now, his insides were doing their best impression of a pretzel, churning and twisting until he felt sick with worry. This wasnât going to be a meeting about some random brat from the streets, this was concerning the fate of the love of his life.
