Izuku doesn't have a quirk. That's the long and short of it. After being told his whole life he can't be a hero, General Education at UA is the best he can hope for, right? Wrong. Dead Wrong. So super wrong that his best friend from Gen Ed, all of Class 1A and a whole mess of Pro Heroes are going to prove to him how wrong he is. Izuku has the makings of a hero, and his lack of a quirk only throws those qualities into starker relief. After all, who wants to be as strong as All Might when you can be the cleverest hero in the business?

erasermic are dekus parents au and his quirk basically is a combination of his parents (dont ask how he was born im not a fan of straight stuff :'D) and basically anyone who hears his voice gets their quirk cancelled ? it could always be on, OR has an on and off switch like aizawas eyes arent always red and stuff (OR specifically it'll be like the soundwaves hizashi does that shows quirk use [though smaller?] or jiros when she plugs in her jacks and does the sound thing) idk just a passing thought, i like dadzawa

pros: who knows if it works through recorded audio but i mean cancelling quirks is strong could possibly still use it as offensive instead of just a support (the soundwaves are strong man) con: might have trouble controlling it, like could accidentally use it sometimes (like hizashi)

im all for black-haired izu (though it could be like kaminari's or shouto's hair with the other colors, or like uhh fuyumi and have little streaks of blonde?) id imagine his black(?) eyes are similar to brown iirc brown is dominant over blue eyes i dont know what color would work but there could also be some mutation that makes his eyes red like when shouta uses his quirk but all the time OR his eyes could glow red when he uses his quirk in that i think itd be better to stick with black eyes? unsure

SUMMARY: No one knows why, but fifty years ago, people starting getting soulmates. You would find them because you could use their quirks, albeit a weaker version or for far less time than them. Izuku knows he has not one, but two soulmates, something only 1% of people have, but he's quirkless. They don't deserve to be saddled with him, if they can even find him. Then All Might offers him an opportunity to be a hero, and suddenly he has a quirk that he desperately has to hide. Even now, he doesn't feel like he deserves his soulmates, Bakugo helped hammer that home throughout his life. Too bad for him they go to his school, and they aren't about to give up on him now that they know he exists.
