i haven’t even read unlocked yet (i’m on nightfall) but ik how it ends in relation to keefe.

i went in reddit and saw a theory abt how sokeefe would get together in book 9, and here’s my brief take:

- i want keefe leaving sophie make her realize her hidden feelings for him; whether it be on her own or by someone like grady/edaline or biana pointing out how upset she is (me isn’t it’s way more than she should be for a boy who’s betrayed her countless times). and then when she goes to find him, she’s like planning on telling him right when she sees him. (this could ALSO be a moment of realization for her if she ignores the previous thing i said abt ppl telling her abt her feelings for keefe being more than friends). so then it’d either be right here that she EITHER:

-kisses him and tells him she loves him

-hugs him and tells him she loves him

that’s right ppl i want SOHPIE to be the one who confesses first.

i think it’s only appropriate bc rn i’m reading nightfall and there was this moment where keefe was saying how he saw “the full foster picture of emotions” when she enhanced him in lodestar, and that he now knew the brain could feel emotions that aren’t the same as the emotions in the heart blah blah blah. and i interpreted that as him saying he found out in that moment that sophie in her BRAIN didn’t like keefe *in that way*, but she did in her HEART. and he won’t tell cuz she needs to figure it out herself... so it’s make sense if she came to the realization before keefe confessed his love for her.

or yk sophie might NOT go after keefe. or she does and he ends up sacrificing himself in some final battle.

but i don’t allow those theories in my brain so.

this is j me rambling at 2am but yeah!
