I Have Mixed Feelings About Simn Newton, On The One Hand He Is An Abuser Of Women With A Gambling Addiction,

I have mixed feelings about Simón Newton, on the one hand he is an abuser of women with a gambling addiction, but on the other hand he is basically mentally raped by his ex so that he is complicit in the theft of a painting at his work, allied with criminals willing to torture him . I honestly believe that Elizabeth's revenge is disproportionate retribution, Simon hurt her very seriously, and he deserved to pay for his abuse of her, but why didn't he report it to the authorities? I think it was largely because he would have to confess that he had had an affair with his patient, breaking with his ethics. So Elizabeth chooses not to face the consequences of her decision to fuck her patient, if she decided to report Simon's abuse to the police. Instead, he violates her ethics even more by using hypnosis to erase Simon's memories of her. This doesn't sound too bad. Who wouldn't have the power to erase our existence from the mind of an abusive ex-boyfriend? But later it was revealed that she also ordered him to steal a painting and deliver it to her. At the scene of the robbery, we saw many people fleeing, several ended up falling to the ground and being stepped on by the other people who were trying to escape, they were probably injured at best. While Simon is suffering a mental breakdown thanks to Frank's brainwashing + beating, he mistakes a simple motorist for her ex-girlfriend, killing her. That poor woman about whom we know nothing, she was just lucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and tried to help a stranger she accidentally ran over, has just paid with her life for a love affair between two perfect strangers. We do not know if Simon was capable of committing murder before the brainwashing, he showed a clear inclination towards violence in his romantic relationship with Elizabeth and in his fantasies of murdering Frank and his gang. But he went from hitting his girlfriend and gambling, to having a body count of 4 or 5. Throughout the final scene he seemed to be in the middle of a mental breakdown, and when he is killed by Elizabeth, he doesn't seem to be in touch with reality. Did Simon really deserve to die or did he desperately need psychiatric help after being hypnotized and going through so much stress? Is Elizabeth just a mere victim who empowers herself by taking revenge on her abuser or an unethical therapist who, after her affair with her patient turned abusive, would seek not only escape but also revenge but not wanting to face any consequences for it? his bad decisions until the end? At the end of the movie Elizabeth gives Frank the choice of forgetting her or remembering her, it sounds good but it shows that she hasn't learned the lesson of not getting into people's heads because you can worsen her mental state, and hurt other innocent people.

She actually believed that Viserys chose to be blind, when his wife dressed in green, Rhaenyra immediately noticed the color of her stepmother's clothing, and while it's not set in stone that black should be worn to a funeral, it's customary. and since Alicent is so "godly" she should know. I know that the blacks already hate her and the greens don't care, but the nobles without a side yet and the common people, may begin to suspect Alicent for her use of a non-mourning color, even though it is almost black, it is still green and everyone knows how much he hates his stepdaughter except Viserys. Actually his choice of clothing reflects his hypocrisy, he constantly berates Rhaenyra for wearing inappropriate clothing in his eyes but when it comes time to show true decorum he throws it overboard because he simply associates black with Rhaenyra no matter what social norms demand. black for mourning Ironically Rhaenyra showed more awareness despite feeling liberated with Laenor's death, she chose to dress as simply as possible in the darkest shade of black.

Hi, how are you. I wanted to ask you, why doesn't Alicent get criticized by anyone, especially Viserys for wearing green to Laenor's funeral? I know that Rhaenyra doesn't have the strength to argue at that moment and that Alicent is the queen, but because Viserys who is the king doesn't order her to change her clothes to avoid people's gossip about how the queen isn't sad about the death of the her stepdaughter's husband but instead celebrates it using the color of their rivalry; but she is all the time aware that the children do not approach Daemon for fear of rumors, going as far as to make a scene in the middle of the wake, earning a well-deserved reprimand from his own daughter. It's funny how Rhaenyra takes care to look appropriately as a life of grief, wearing a simple black dress and no jewelry while her decorum-obsessed stepmother looks like they're at a ball.I hope that in the next chapter the people of the court start murmuring how the princess acted properly as a widow as opposed to the queen who dressed in green to celebrate her grief, and Viserys scolds Alicent.

Heyy,

One. Rhaenyra kinda sorta owns the color Black right now and Alicent avoids any and all mention of it 😂. But also, I don't think Alicent was very obvious abt it. It's a dark green that borders on black and I think wearing black wasn't like a carved on stone rule. Viserys didn't notice cause I don't think he is that knowledgeable in colors and Alicent's faction don't care and Rhaenyra's Blacks already hate her. So it's not a big deal really.

Viserys genuinely believes he's helping his daughter. His fears are stemming from his fear for his daughter's reputation and his general lack of faith in Daemon. And Alicent is her father's daughter, she knows just how to disguise her rumour mongering as genuine concern. And from his perspective, Laenor or anyone believing any "closeness" between Rhaenyra + her sons and Daemon is a disaster waiting to happen. Viserys was known in canon to lash out when he felt Rhaenyra was being threatened, it's just (aside from the 2 cases of firing Otto and rejecting Vaemond's sons' plea) in most cases, he ends up isolating her.

Rumours will really pick up in the next few chapters, the Blacks and Greens will be working overtime. Hope you keep reading.

Everybody has been wondering why Cinderella's glass slipper didn't disappear at midnight. Myself I wondered about this. But it isn't a mystery. There's a solution and I feel so dumb for not seeing this because it is right in the text.

We are so used to the Disney imagery of the fairy godmother conjuring up the slippers. But that's not what happens in Perrault's text.

I was reading an analysis of the fairytale by Constance Cagnat-Deboeuf, a very thorough thing, and she pointed out why the slippers do not disappear. It is right there in the text, but one might miss it due to how we are used to modern turns of phrase and outside images. That's the trick with Perrault's stories, you have to read them carefully not to miss anything.

Right after the fairy godmother turns Cinderella's rags into a beautiful gown, it is said that she gives Cinderella the glass slippers. She gives them to her. It isn't something transformed like the carriage or the gown. And the fairy doesn't just invoke them magically on Cinderella's feet. The fairy just hands her the beautiful pair of shoes. As Constance Cagnat explains, it is just a gift from a godmother to a goddaughter. And that's why it doesn't disappear after midnight.

I feel so dumb for not seeing this, because again, it's right in the text, at the turn of a coma. Well it's a good lesson about reading too fast.

It Is Quite Sad That Duke Eckart Immediately Notices That Penelope's Clothes Are Mature For Her Age,

It is quite sad that Duke Eckart immediately notices that Penelope's clothes are mature for her age, but that he is unable to notice that his daughter is not eating the food on her plate because her cutlery is too small, while he is talking to her.

It Is Quite Sad That Duke Eckart Immediately Notices That Penelope's Clothes Are Mature For Her Age,

Then I watched the food scene again, and I realized that Reynold treats Penelope as a "Bitch" AND a "Crazy Bitch", and even tried to imply that Penny was looking for a romance with Eckles, the Duke didn't even reprimand him, But when Penny throws the spoon she can't eat with and leaves the dining room, he doesn't hesitate to get angry and scold her for ruining the meal. No wonder he could only see Penelope's bad behavior, when he is blind to all the evil around her. That's why Layla triumphed.

I was in my bed cold and bored, searching on Netflix for a light but fun movie, when I found Once Upon a Crime. I loved the concept of a little red riding hood detective who befriends Cinderella and together they investigate a crime but the ending disappointed me.

Spoiler Alert

It turns out that Hans' murderer is Cinderella but it was in self-defense, Hans was a disgusting guy obsessed with cutting women's beautiful hair regardless of the fact that women refused to let him cut his hair. Unfortunately Cinderella had the misfortune of running into this creep in a scene that she uncomfortably reminded me of a predator convincing his victim to come with, WAIT THAT'S WHAT'S HAPPENING. Upon arriving at Hans' house, the stylist tries to forcibly cut Cinderella's beautiful blonde hair in a confrontation that reminds me eerily of an attempted rape but Cinderella manages to defend herself and hits him with a rock, unfortunately FOR HER NOT FOR HIM DISGUSTING HANS, he dies. Here I recognize that her actions are truly criminal although I still empathize with her because the victim is Margot, her stepsister who abuses her and kills her dove for being ugly and sells her cake. Cinderella blames her for the crime but it doesn't turn out as expected. planned.

Little Red Riding Hood discovers the truth and gets Cinderella to confess, so I prepared myself for an emotional scene where Little Red Riding Hood asks the prince for mercy for her friend, after all she was able to hide a corpse so that her friend can have a moment of happiness in her life. shit and had Margot arrested for one night for being a bully to Cinderella even though she knew she was innocent of the murder. Then the prince, who they said was so fair and strongly suspected the rumors about the disgusting Hans, would forgive Cinderella for the murder because it was self-defense, but he would force her to pay the penalty for trying to frame Margot for murder, showing us the girls that it is okay to defend ourselves from disgusting guys no matter how influential they are and the law is going to protect us but at the same time saying that no matter how bad they are to you, framing your bully for homicide is wrong and will be punished by independent law of the evil one, what is your bully because you are violating the law. After that, Little Red Riding Hood would point out that Cinderella's family is guilty of committing domestic abuse and that if the disgusting Hans got justice, Cinderella should also get it, the stepmother and her daughters would be arrested for longer than Cinderella so after paying her Crime would return home free from her abusers with the friendship of Little Red Riding Hood and the prince who loves Remi but pities her and developed brotherly affection for Cinderella. That was the ending I expected in 2023, where women can defend themselves against disgusting guys and have male friends.

What I got was a poor victim who is shamed for defending herself against a disgusting but rich and influential guy who got justice even though her murder was in her own defense while her victim didn't get her abusive relatives They were arrested for having her as a slave. Then the other girl Remi for not defending herself from the disgusting Hans, leaving her with a scar that depresses her so much that she hides even from her boyfriend, the prince, is rewarded with the prince's hand in marriage for acting for a year as if she were guilty of being attacked. by a madman while Cinderella is imprisoned for defending herself. Nice teaching, let that influential man rape you and then leave society so they don't see how hurt you were because you will be rewarded for your passivity with a handsome and rich boyfriend but if you defend yourself you will be arrested and no one will care why you did it If you are poor you will never get justice, you must be rich to get it.
