Every time I draw bofur it seems he is morphing more and more into a different style and version of him and it's a bittersweet feeling?? I can't explain it. I love his og movie design but his exaggerated toony style I often do also feels more personal and original to me. it honestly possibly might end up that way with the direction my passion with them is going...

After a few ups and downs, the dwarves as a unit all start trusting Bilbo and looking at him with newfound respect for the first time after The Carrock.

Except Bofur, who’d always looked at him that way.

All of the Boffins moments in An Unexpected Journey

-Gandalf explains how wonderful Bilbo is and how there’s more to him than meets the eye and Bofur gives him this look:

-Bofur literally tears a bit of his clothes off to make Bilbo a “handkerchief”

-Bofur pulls Bilbo into the Dwarrow safety circle at Rivendell to protect him from the Elves.

-Bilbo learnt that “Man in the Moon” song that he teaches to Frodo off Bofur (or vice versa)

-Bofur protects Bilbo on the cliff face/Bilbo clings to him

-Bofur loses his shit when he thinks Bilbo is dead/missing:

-Bofur flings himself near the edge of the cliff to try to reach him

-Bofur gives Thorin the saltiest look when he’s asked to take first watch, and this is after Thorin says “Bilbo has been lost ever since he left home.”

-Bofur begs Bilbo to stay and looks hurt when Bilbo tells him they have no home

-Bofur lets Bilbo go anyway, even though it hurts him

-Bofur looks happy and relieved when Bilbo escapes the Goblin cave

-When Bilbo returns, his words echo what he told Bofur in the cave: “I came back because you haven’t got a home, and I will help you take it back if I can.” aww
