The climb in and out of this canyon includes about 1,100 stairs and lot of pain, but it’s so worth it.

The red-winged blackbird’s song is deeply comforting and familiar it’s like walking into the marsh and hearing an old friend
At the summit of Mount Mitchell. Inside of a cloud. I could’ve stood there for hours.


It’s hard to see them here (phone camera) but out on the river today, I got to see plenty of osprey nests and ospreys to go with them. It’s been a while my friends!
