First pickle of the season! Fresh cucumbers from the farmers market, and fresh dill from the garden!

I love being able to reuse perfectly fine spaghetti sauce or salsa jars from the store, so I love to save them aside for pickling and much more! In addition to some Ball jars I have sitting around too.

I threw some cantaloupe rinds and the center into my compost, and about a week ago I discovered that the seeds turned into sprouts in there. So, I picked a few out, and now they are growing wonderfully!
