At Some Point Before We Got To The Site Someone Left This Log. Propped It Up On A Stump With Some Rocks

At some point before we got to the site someone left this log. Propped it up on a stump with some rocks and it seemed like a good enough makeshift target to me. 🏹

Congaree National Park, SC
What a special place this is. Here nested in the middle of my home state of South Carolina, between the Congaree and Wateree Rivers, is one of the last old growth forests in the South East United States. Filled with huge Bald Cypress, Tupelo, Loblolly Pine, and many other native trees. Walking through this floodplain forest is like stepping back in time to what many ancient forests here looked like. More posts to come about these amazing trees.
i love when there’s trees

I finished grad school! Here’s a symbolic picture of me reaching the summit of a mountain to celebrate. I now have my Masters in Business. This past year has been incredibly hard and stressful, but finishing with a 4.0 was so worth it

Exploring the barrier islands and peninsulas. It’s always interesting finding the remnants of from those here before me. The only evidence the tides don’t erase, for now.
I’m quite literally in heaven right now.
