I couldn’t resist drawing my favorite sketch of Ernest H. Shepard’s illustrations from A. A. Milne’s second Winnie-the-Pooh book, The House at Pooh Corner. When I was looking at Shepard’s drawings online I found that he also did the illustrations for The Wind the Willows, which was (and still is) one of my favorite books since early middle school. I wish that children’s books today had this level of quality in their illustrations. You would think with the advent of technology that we could produce high quality illustrations like this in an even shorter amount of time, but I keep seeing these really cheap looking books that saddens me to no end.

Some random doodles for a mini sketchdump. Haven't been very active lately (so sorry!!), but I think I feel my drawing juices coming back. Hope to be back again real soon!

Yay, actually decided on what my OC Christopher from my soon-to-be-realized comic The Raven Prince will look like!!!!!
I’ve been thinking about this project for so long, but couldn’t get myself to sit down and draw my characters (in all honesty, I do have quite a few ...).
But with Autodesk’s many free brush sets, I was able to tinker around and find something I truly love. Without it, I would have never have thought of giving Christopher freckles (though since the comic will be colored in grayscale, I’m curious how I’m going to render them).
So happy! ... though, I’m not so sure about the size and shape of his eyes yet.Â

Found this while looking through a sketchbook. I designed him for some story I thought up, but I have absolutely no idea what it was anymore. I kind of wish I did because he’s so cute, but maybe I can make him a new story. *shrugs* I don’t know, I just can’t let my babies go I guess …

Watched Logan recently and it blew me away! Hugh Jackman’s performance of old Logan was amazing and, personally, this was Hugh at his best and finest. So, naturally, I had to scour the internet for photos to draw.
