I've Been Asked By Marah (@freepaleatine95) To Share Her Family's Gfm Campaign.
I've been asked by Marah (@freepaleatine95) to share her family's gfm campaign.
Marah was a uni student studying computer engineering but her university has now been bombed. Her brother and her father's businesses were also destroyed, and they are now left without an income. Their home has also been destroyed and they have lost their beloved pet kittens.
This is not the first time their lives have been upended by the occupation army. They have lost their brother in 2006 after he was shot in the chest. And now at the hands of Israel, they are facing homelessness, a scarcity of basic necessities, in addition to frequent bombings! They have had bombs dropped 3 meters away from where they were sleeping before, and have watched the remains of their neighbours dug out from under the rubble.
They are now living in a flimsy tent. With the coming winter and the pouring rain these few days, rain has leaked into their tent. Their belongings have been flooded and their meager flour provisions have been destroyed. Marah's elderly parents are sick and suffer from chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure. With the cold and the rain and their flooded tent, they do not know how they are going to survive the coming winter... Please donate to help them buy a new insulated tent as well as supplies like coats and blankets! A new tent can shelter them from the cold and the rain, as well as any overflowing sewage, which is vital to protecting them from diseases and keeping them safe!

Please help us get our lives back
My name is Marah, an aspiring computer engineering student. I dreamed of completing my studies and working in the field that I love. She enjoys spending long hours studying.
But the war deprived me of my ambitions
And my dreams and my studies
My university was demolished, as was my home

I no longer have any dreams or ambitions
Your help may restore hope in completing my studies abroad

Any donation could make a difference in our lives and give us hope

HELP MAHMOUD BAALOU AND HIS FAMILY ESCAPE GAZA

Hi. Mahmoud Baalou reached out to me via DM and asked me to share his story. He, his sister, and his parents are trying to escape the war and find safety in Egypt. His mother and father are both diabetic, making a difficult time even harder. He’s doing everything he can to help his family but he needs your support too. Please donate if you have anything to spare, and if you can’t, please share!
Help Marah and her family achieve a better future

🇵🇸 Help Marah's family restore their lives!
I want to introduce you to the Baloushaa family, who are currently living in Gaza. The family lived in a beautiful house, and Mahmoud owned a shoe store that was doing well. Marah (@freepaleatine95) was studying computer engineering at Al-Azhar University, a subject she has a lot of interest and passion in. Mahmoud's business was successful and Marah's studies were going excellently. Their parents were proud of them for all they accomplished, and they had great dreams for their futures.

But even before the recent aggression starting on October 7th, this family had experienced profound loss. They lost their older brother in 2006, a stark reminder that the violence inflicted on Palestinians did not start within the past year, but has been a continued effort to wipe out their people. With the most recent escalation in violence, this family has been forced to experience loss again. They lost the beautiful house they lived in, and they lost the kittens that they cared for dearly. Mahmoud's business was destroyed as well as Marah's University and their lives have been frozen.

The picture above is their current living situation, they are trying to survive without proper shelter, exposed to the weather and illnesses. Their mother and father both suffer from diabetes, and their father has high blood pressure, the medicine for which is near impossible to obtain in Gaza. As winter approaches and the temperature drops, they will need proper clothing, blankets, and a heater. Their ultimate goal is to move the family to Egypt so they can access proper care for their parents, Marah can continue university, and they can rebuild their lives.

there’s a thunderstorm over my house right now. as loud as the lightning is, it and the rainfall are ultimately set dressing, and i’m warm and dry inside.
there was a storm over palestine today, too. for marah, a college student like me, the rain meant a flooded tent, waterlogged flour. mud and wet feet and chill. no shelves to protect precious belongings from the damage.

here’s my post linking to the baalou family’s fund. please spread this around— conditions become critical as quickly as a storm comes.
