Imagine Jacaerys being Aegon’s uncle and Aegon would try everything to seduce him during his whole adolescence and getting rejected all the time.

Aegon was devastated. He thought Jace didn’t have the slightest affection for him and he still loved Jace so helplessly like a fool.

uhm, lo que yo pensaba... angst. slow burn depresión. heavy angst. happy ending. lol. yo quería sólo una cosa que Aegon le hiciera ver a Jace poco a poco (y de la manera difícil) cómo su madre les hace daño. quería que ambos se liberaran de eso.

Quería darles un final feliz. Me gustaría verlos amigos, confiar el uno en el otro, hablar de cómo les gustaría criar a Maelor. hablar de sus familias. del peso del deber. que la pasión creciera poco a poco. que volaran en sus dragones. que Jace entendiera que Aegon sólo quería ser libre. Que Aegon empatizaría con ese lado de Jace. los dos encontrarían el equilibrio perfecto. Me imagino a los dos haciendo el amor de nuevo. Con tanta pasión, deseo y anhelo. Que se besarían tanto, como para recuperar el tiempo perdido. Podrían vivir mucho tiempo felices. Sólo ellos tres, pero siguen siendo príncipes y futuros reyes. Con la muerte de rhaenyra, Jace debería ocupar el trono y Aegon debería estar a su lado.

OMG I REALLY FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS IDEA

Like if we really think about canon Jacegon (if there is one) it’s gonna be a very angst ship cause their distinct personalities. It’s not easy for them to love or even feel related to each other.

Jace is brave, righteous, very protective of his family and Aegon is everything opposite. He runs away from responsibility, libertine and most time a selfish cold-blooded ass. He doesn’t hide his indifference or hatred or despises to anything he’s expected to care, including himself.

That’s why I love Aegon’s side at the beginning of this storyline: he hated everyone and everything as a cynical omega. He was forced to perform his “duty” but he didn’t pretend to like it for a sec. He found the whole thing cockamamie. He despised his husband /future king and refused to get softened.

And all Jacaerys did was to tolerate it. He’s a quick-tempered guy. So he got angry all the time (I love you pointing this out; many authors don’t write about this) He was unsatisfactory with the marriage, always disappointed, and sometimes even complained why Aegon couldn’t finish one fucking dinner or walking without embarrassing himself and everyone around. But he TOLERATED it.

He didn’t do this because he was eager for the crown but he cared about duty on his shoulder, as a dutiful son, a loyal husband and a qualified heir. Love is too luxurious for a future King. So when he found his heart pounding seeing Aegon smiling bathed in the sunshine, he chose to turn his gaze away.

The problem is Jace didn’t know what made Aegon a person he was then. He didn’t know what Alicent had done to him. And just as you said he would gradually realize it and learn how to fix a broken heart. But the real problem is he fell for Aegon, even before knowing anything of this, even he didn’t want to admit it. But unlike minds, hearts didn’t lie.

And I love the end of the story as well. They both fought their own war to find true-selves. They ran family and raised children just as Jace and Aegon, not as heir or prince. I love to see they become lovers, parents, and more preciously, they once again become best friends in their life and of course, for the rest of their life.

TWO pink lines.

There were two damn pink lines in that damn result window, clear as sky. Aegon read the instructions again which said “One pink line and one line lighter than the other means you are preg—”. Oh, he didn’t need to finish.

That’s just too damn good.

He could easily imagine how his mother would scream when she found out about this, calling him a whore, rewarding him a slap, accusing him of ruining her entire life, like every damn terrible thing he had done or hadn’t yet.

“How did you manage to make such idiotic mistakes again and again?” Her words were like echoes.

She was right. Even his birth was a terrible mistake, his first and greatest —if it weren’t for him, Alicent wouldn’t have had to marry that man twice her age, Viserys Targaryen, Aegon’s own father.

Aegon couldn’t remember last time two of them talking. Would he be interested in the idea that he’s having a new grandchild eight month later? Aegon wondered, No, not really, he could barely remember how many children of his own. Last time he called Aemond his youngest boy before Alicent reminded him that Daeron was in college on the east coast. They don’t really matter to him. They are not Rhaenyra, come on.

And what about her reaction when she knew her half- never close before- brother was gonna have a baby? Maybe she would play nice and say something kind this time. Maybe she would give that kind of sympathetic look while Daemon reply with a smile of contempt by her side.

But what to worry really? Aegon pondered, were there anyone really care what happened to him now? He already brought enough disappointments and shame to his family that no one would be surprised of the trouble he made anymore.

It’s pathetic to find he had no one to talk to. His mother dived into the ocean of religion (and maybe her bodyguard). His brother was so busy with getting his fifth degree and combat training and working out in gym 24/7. His nephew Lucerys were his best friend the last few months before he went back to school. His another nephew Jacaerys was graduating this year, probably giving a valedictorian speech. He was also tall, tan, with mind sharp like knife and smile warm like melting caramel. His life seemed too perfect that Aegon hated to break it by telling him he was about to become a father.

No, Viserys certainly wouldn’t be thrilled to know that this grandchild’s true father is his another grandchild, precious son of his precious princess; neither Rhaenyra who had perfect future planned for her first son and heir; neither Alicent; neither —anyone.

Aegon knew he really fucked up this time.
