*ahem* so I see you like size difference and wanna scream about it so please do.

Like idk maybe your favorite thing about it?

WHY YES I WOULD LOVE TO SCREAM ABOUT IT THANK YOU FOR ASKING 😀

HAHA but in all seriousness actually being asked this was a pleasant jumpscare so thank you Tag! I hope we can continue to have conversations about this enlightening topic 😌

So my favorite thing about it, hmm… I think I just love the idea that the bigger character has so much power over the smaller one, intentionally or not. With just the wrong movement, the smaller one could get hurt or worse. Yet despite that, there’s such big trust between the two of them that the smaller one doesn’t worry that they’ll get hurt, because they trust their bigger companion and know that they’ll be careful with them, and if something does happen they know it’s unintentionally.

And with that trust, there are many benefits to having a giant friend! Which leads into another favorite thing of mine about it: the bigness of it all, for lack of a better descriptor. Feeling such usually trivial things at such a scale that shakes you up entirely.

A single hand, longer than your entire body, able to cradle you protectively with such care. You can feel the warmth emitted naturally from the palm and fingers around you, enveloping you without even having to try. Maybe they even reach with their fingers to rub gently into you, assuring you of their presence and comfort— as if you could ever forget it when you were around them.

Laying flat against a wide chest, the world rising up and down as your giant friend beneath you merely breathes. Their lungs expanding and reducing from within them being enough to move your entire worldview. You can hear the sound of their heart pumping inside them— a constant, rhythmic beat of the shifting of their blood and the flesh of the muscle as large as yourself. Every pulse sends a vibration through you, the pattern of it lulling you into security.

Or even sitting up on their shoulder, leaning against their neck. You can feel every little movement as their merely turn their head about. Feel the muscles of their neck shift and contract as they swallow. Feel the deep rumbles of just them speaking run through your little body. Not to mention the incredible view— watching the world race past you as they merely walk at a relaxed pace.

Just stuff like that I find really cool HAHA. Though I haven’t thought about it as much, I know there is definitely cool aspects about it from the bigger character’s perspective as well!

This ended up being longer than I intended it to be, but I’ve loved this concept for literally as long as I could remember HAHA. Hope that answers your question! I’d love to hear your thoughts on it too :D

Just did the math and across both of my accounts, I’ve posted 90k+ words, almost evenly split. That’s the length of the average novel.

It’s fascinating how much I’ve shared compared to how much I haven’t- WIPs, forgotten projects, abandoned works, etc. It’s weird to think that pretty soon I’m going to surpass the 100k mark.

Eventually, I may even reach 100k on both of my accounts individually and that’s kind of daunting in a good way. I’ve got so much to share and I’m so excited to do it.

There’s not much more to the post, just a few thoughts of a person who’s been posting their fics for around 6-7 years now and writing for longer.

An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works

Finally got around to writing this project I mentioned ages ago! Behold, the first in a series of g/t cautionary tales! Starting with a classic deadly sin for borrowers - greed.

I’m considering turning it into a collection so others can add their own stories.
