Entirely forgot to mention this, so giving a little warning now that I’ll be dropping off Tumblr on the 20th of this month until midway through next month because I’m desperate to avoid TF one spoilers and my country doesn’t get the movie until next month. If I finish any fics during that time, I will be posting on here, but otherwise, I won’t be on Tumblr much if at all.

One thing I find really cool about space research is that the way some articles are written, you can definitely see which authors believe in aliens. The way they’ll describe Earth as if it’s just one of many planets with life on it. It’s really cool!
Oh look, it seems like there's a Republican-led movement to purge voter rolls in the lead-up to the election! It's almost as if your vote matters and they don't want you to vote! Anyway, I whipped up a quick map (based on this) that shows when the voter registration deadline is in each state. There are a few deadlines coming up in the next week or so.
If you live in a state that regularly purges voter rolls for infrequent voters (the orange ones in the first map), or if you moved recently, it's good to check if you're still registered to vote.

Just put in your address and DOB and they'll tell you whether you're registered. (And they give you a quick link to register online if it turns out that you're not! Only the 9 states in white on my map don't have online registration, and for those they provide instructions on how to do it via mail or in person.)
So yeah, give yourself peace of mind -- do a quick check. :)
One of the most soul-crushing experiences is when you’ve been told throughout your life that you meed mental help and when you go to get it, you’re told that it isn’t just a you problem.
If it’s a you problem, then you can be medicated. Go to therapy. Help yourself. Improve.
But when it’s a problem with the people around you, what can you do? They might not want to go to therapy. They might not want to get better. And you can’t make them.
It’s this eternal cycle of wanting to get better and struggling alone because the people around you refuse to get better, living out the same cycles of terrible behaviour over and over and over.
This is good advice before any storm! Insurance will probably be a pain anyway, but at least you'll have something documented.
Hillywood Supernatural parody video
I love the Hillywood parody videos, and I wanted to share them here because not enough people know about them!
I discovered their videos because of the Brothers Apart fanfic series by nightmares06!
The Supernatural parody was the first Hillywood video I saw!
One of my favourite things about Thor Ragnarok is Hela yelling “we need to get that sword to open the Bifrost” while waving around Odin’s staff, which also opens the Bifrost.
Like, does she not know? She obviously didn’t know about it’s destructive capabilities or she would have kept it with her to use as a weapon and wouldn’t have let Thor grab it. Maybe Odin got the staff after Hela was banished.
And nobody tells her that she already has a tool to open the Bifrost. Not even her executioner, who used to run the Bifrost. They’re all just letting her run around after a sword she doesn’t even need, which if you ask me is GOLD.
