Working On Some More G/t Stuff But These Past Few Days Have Hit Me With Fanfic-author-itis And Everything

Working on some more g/t stuff but these past few days have hit me with fanfic-author-itis and everything has been going chaotically wrong. I’m not one for author’s notes detailing my life, but this would be a great one. Luckily, everything has semi-smoothed out so I’m hoping to be more active and to finish some of the stuff hanging in limbo.

Finally managed to finish this fic with a chapter I wrote in a haze of inspiration last night! Enjoy.

[Inspired by this post]

“So I take it you’re the one responsible for the phone charger’s cord being cut.”

I stared down at the minuscule figure stood on the glue trap. Her expression was hard to read, but between her scowl and the way she avoided meeting my gaze, it read like some mix of frustration and sheepishness.

“And the bag of sugar getting cut open”, I continued. “And most of my pockets suddenly having holes in them, and the lights turning off, and the candles suddenly being lit in the night…”

“And your car’s tires getting slashed,” she interrupted, letting her scowl reform into a smirk. It was like being reminded of her accomplishments gave her courage, reminding her of her power over me before this moment.

“…that was you? How did you manage that? I can imagine you used a long twig or something to push the light switch from where you could reach it on the counter, but—“

“Remember how your pocket knife went missing too?” She chimed, now looking up at me with an almost whimsical expression. She was like a fairy, and a malevolent one at that. But the lack of wings, the fact she couldn’t get out of a simple trap like this? No, she must be something else…

A moment of stunned silence passed between us, her pride clearly restored by the look on my face before she asked, “so what now?”

“Now we wait,” I answered. “This glue trap is a fancy new cruelty-free one, you just set it in sunlight and the glue loosens up and melts. I got it since I thought you were some kind of rat. Once the sun’s up in another hour or so, you’ll be on your way.”

“…Huh, really?”

“Of course,” I leaned in, letting a smile creep onto my face. “As long as you’re okay with me setting up some pranks for you too! Feels unfair to just take all that lying down…”

She grinned, any hint of sheepishness from our initial meeting now vanished, washed away by excitement and eagerness, her ferocity reignited by the thought of rivaling a giant in this little prank war.

“You’re on.”

I’ve written the 3rd chapter of You Can Run, But You Can’t Hide (planning to post it tomorrow) but I also got another idea for something that happens next. It would be a small arc taking up maybe 2-3 chapters.

I couldn’t decide whether to post this next bit as a new work or another chapter of the current work, so I’m putting it up to a poll.

I do genuinely appreciate the spice that g/t has added to my life, in the sense that all my irl friends know I have a secret interest and run multiple social accounts for it. None of them knows it’s g/t. Not a soul has seen any of my size content or accounts. They’ve guessed every interest under the sun and never got it, and they never will. Once an acquaintance joined the hangout sesh and asked for my twitter handle and immediately my friends were like “Oh they are not going to give it to you. It’s not personal.” And I’m not and it’s not. BC no one needs to know my business, and I also love the weird aura it gives me. Like yes I have internet notoriety in the most unconceivable ‘fandom’ you’ve never heard of. You wish u were me
