An article on TheDailyBeast.com on February 5, 2020 quoted a statistic that was SO SHOCKING that it not only floored me but saddened me to the core as to the current moral state of our people, nation and world. that it not only floored me but saddened me to the core as to the current moral state of our people, nation and world.

They reported that in a nation in which 139 million voted in the last presidential election that 141 million votes were cast for the best pornographic movie in 2019 on the largest sex-video web site in the world. Also, according to this self-same article, these five young women pictured here are the top 'stars' of the adult film world. Not so coincidentally another news article on-line the same day touted proudly that porn stars would now be featured models in a major runway fashion show in New York. If these sex actresses are (or are not) familiar to you, please read on.

We now live in a world, as indicated by today’s insightful and prophetic verse that all that was once considered virtuous has turned vile, where being “straight” is out of step with the times while lewd thoughts, language, dress, and actions are not only accepted but celebrated.

While many that read this may not know or be familiar with any of these women, sadly some of you may, and if you do – and especially if you have confessed Christ as your Lord – you have followed the path of perversion from goodness above. If so, you need to turn now and REPENT (literally change your mind) and seek forgiveness.

This epidemic of a sex-crazed culture and thinking always leads to spiritual destruction. For those on this path, it will never satisfy and will lead to an addiction that will continue to spiral down lower and lower into the denizens of Hell if you let it. But there is good news...

Christ can and does deliver us from ALL sin – no matter how small, large, venial or vial. Make the decision and promise God that RIGHT NOW to never look at these putrid images again!! Change your mind, turn away from the bitter and turn to the sweetness of wholeness and holiness in God. Seek Christ, Get Forgiveness, and Receive His Grace.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus - not JUNK! It is never too late to live a sweet and not bitter life.

Fred Rogers of the iconic 'Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood' is an American treasure of wholesomeness and goodness. As a child, if you are old enough to remember, you couldn’t wait to tune in to his TV show! While always delightful to watch, you unknowingly and innocently would learn strong character values and good manners by his example that would stick with you for the rest of your life.

His influence caused me later in life to develop two Christian character and etiquette books that I taught to children and teens, and like 'Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, 'the joy of seeing the light bulb go on in kid’s eyes when they discovered something wonderful about God and Jesus gave me a joy beyond measure, all because of his example.

On one of his programs, with the kindness and poise he always displayed, he softly said to the audience...

“I’d like you to close your eyes for ten seconds and think of ten people who have greatly influenced your life. I’m going to watch my clock.”

As he did, the camera panned across the audience. All eyes were closed, and some had tears streaming down their faces. Everyone was deeply touched by this precious man’s calm, kind and centered demeanor. His soft, yet purposefully intended suggestion caused them to pause and reflect upon their lives, and how deeply those in their pasts had touched them.

Likewise, pause right now from your busy day and close your eyes and ponder — Who has greatly influenced YOUR life? Who has made a real, even profound difference and guided you to become who you are today? Make a list of each one that has because just like today’s scripture, these people have given you instruction that has made you wiser. Thank God for them, because you are who you are today because of those that have come before you.

Kathryn Kuhlman was a powerful Christian evangelist who over several decades preached, healed and transformed the lives of many. She is regarded by some as the greatest female Christian minister of the 20th century. While her life and what she spoke over the years was remarkable, in her final days what she also spoke was even more remarkable and thought provoking. While hospitalized and accelerating quickly to a fateful end, she predicted not only the day she would die, but also the precise hour and minute. As she prophesized, it was at exactly 1:13 AM on February 20, 1976.

This got me to thinking that 1:13 AM is one out of 1,440 minutes that we all sweep through each day, and just like on the second hand of a clock, one of those minutes will be the precise minute of when all of us will pass from the here to the hereafter.

Unlike Katheryn, we have no idea when that minute will come. She was ready for that exact minute at 1:13 AM when an angel would meet her and take her to heaven...but how about you? She was a faithful, obedient disciple of Christ and her name was written in the Book of Life (the book of all those that are going to heaven.) Is your name in that book? If not, here is how you can be sure.

Commit right now IN THIS SECOND to confess to God that you want to have your name written in the Book of Life. All you need to do is ask God to forgive you of your sins and decide to be faithful and obedient to God from this second forward. When you do, He will heal your spiritual heart so that when your earthly heart stops beating in one of those 1,440 earthly minutes, the first heavenly minute will begin.

Right now, you are alive in THIS minute, and there may only be 1,439 minutes more until your last minute comes. Not only is today the day of salvation, but this minute is the time! Don’t delay because a time is coming when you will not only have a minute, but will not have a SECOND (chance) left.

If you are an old 'Car Guy' then the Chilton’s Manuals were your best friend. Back in the day when cars were purely mechanical, these manuals provided step-by-step instructions on how to repair every part of a car from the distributor to the differential. So in order to fix a car, having this 'car bible' was a must.

However, there is a 'Life Manual' that also provides step-by-step instructions on how to heal everything, from loss to life, and that is God’s “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth” Manual and that is the BIBLE. In it you will find everything you need to fix everything in life from head to toe.

Like today’s scripture reference exhorts us, keep the Bible in front of you at all times, and speak its words out of your lips because when you decree and declare its Promises and Principles you will indeed have “Great Success”…and no sockets or wrenches are required!

by Dr. Jeanne Sheffield Estrada All of us at different times will experience seasons when we struggle to feel the lack of God’s presence. The profound Christian author and theologian C.S. Lewis described this experience in his book 'A Grief Observed' where he relates his experiencing of sorrow and grief after his wife’s death. In it he writes, “Where is God? Go to Him when your need is desperate…and what do you find? A door slammed in your face, and a sound of bolting and double bolting on the inside. After that silence.”

Have you ever felt abandoned, alone and lost somewhere in the wilderness longing for God’s presence, comfort, and peace, but instead found coldness and isolation? I have - and more than once too! But here’s the answer that will always get us on track, and that is to be reminded of the promises given to us in God’s Word. The Bible is full of sure, strong promises that show over and over again that we can trust Him even when He doesn’t actively or immediately reveal Himself. Once I opened the Word and re-read these many promises, I found the inner peace I so needed assuring me that God was in fact with me, and that he would NEVER forsake me no matter how I FELT or the apparent direness of my circumstances.

If you’ll carefully look at your life, you will most likely see how God has revealed Himself at unexpected times. Perhaps you can now see that life took different turns because He either opened (or closed!) doors or changed the direction of your life in ways then you could not see or understand at the time. Keep in mind always that God is the one that created you, and He wants you to have a glorious, exciting, abundant life! He is always present with you even if it seems He may be far away. When you re-read the promises in His Word, they are always sure and there to comfort us in time of need.

Your heavenly Father loves you beyond measure and He wants your total dependence upon Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your soul. Lean not upon your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.” If you are in crisis or trauma, always remember what Jesus has promised us when he said:

“Come to me, all who are weary and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28

Whenever you may feel alone with no one to turn to, come to Jesus and share everything with Him that concerns you. He already knows all of your needs even before you know them yourself. Yes, even without “feeling” the presence of God, walk in faith - because the Lord is walking right there beside you.

Are you one of those people that 'don’t need RELIGION' and figure that being a GOOD PERSON is all that’s required to go to heaven? Most people are. Christianity after all is a scam, a racquet to take money from people and churches are full of hypocrites anyway. Plus it can’t possibly be the only way to heaven or the only religion, right?!? And besides, even though you may admit that you’re not perfect, at least you honestly believe “I’m a good person” so that either:

God is not THAT angry at me anyway to the extent that he would even send me to hell (or)

If God DOES send people to hell, then he’s one cruel taskmaster not worthy of honoring anyway

Well, here is the truth plain and simple. The Bible says that ALL of us are sinners, all have sinned, and all are deserving of not being in Heaven in His presence, but this is the GOOD NEWS (literally the translation of the word GOSPEL.)

God has provided a means for everyone to go to heaven, and here is the Gospel plan in 25 words or less:

Jesus covered YOUR sins on the cross

Believe That

Ask Him to Forgive Him of your sin

Honor Him as YOUR Saviour and LORD

That’s it!! But the challenge offered to you right now is.... Do you believe and accept that Jesus is “The WAY, The TRUTH, and LIFE” - that He alone is the only WAY to HEAVEN, the only TRUTH on How to get there, and the only way to eternal LIFE? If so, do not depend on your righteousness but his, and accept His invitation to heaven. He is patiently waiting for you. You cannot jump the gap to heaven on your own, no matter how 'good' you are.
