🦢 A lovesick swan and an oblivious swan... 🦢

yoongi stormed off his bike. you saw him from your bedroom window. "why's he here?" you thought to yourself. you heard him knock downstairs and went down to open the door. "hi, y/n" he said. he was sweaty and he looked pissed. "hi, yoongi. what's up? why are you here?" you asked, gesturing for him to come inside. "i can't deal with my family anymore. they hate me. they won't let anyone know about me. it's all about my fucking brother," he said, sitting on the floor, tears welling up in his eyes. he continued, "is this what being the black sheep means?" his tears fell. you bent down at him and wiped them. "no, yoongi. you're not a black sheep. you're a black swan." he looked at you with a confused look. "what's the difference?" he asked, wiping his face with his sleeve. "you're different, yes, but that means you're rare. no one in your family is like you, which means you're a black swan. something rare." you said, rubbing his hand. he stayed silent. "let's go upstairs. you can stay over tonight. my parents aren't home anyway," you said, helping him off the floor. you fixed up the guest room and gave yoongi some blankets and a towel.

you were just about to leave, but- "y/n" he called out. you turned back. "what's it like being the white swan?" he asked. you furrowed your eyebrows slightly. he took that as confusion. "you're perfect. everyone loves you. what's it like?" he asked. you sat on the edge of the bed. "it's nice, but can be quite suffocating, honestly. i'm always expected to be perfect in everything i do" you said, scratching the back of your neck. "we're opposites" yoongi said, sniffling. you furrowed your eyebrows again. he laughed a bit before he spoke again. "you know, i'm a black swan, you're the white swan. we're opposites." he said, his voice getting softer towards the end of the sentence. "i guess we are different. maybe that's what makes our friendship so special. anyway, you should sleep already. turn on the lamp" you said, getting up towards the door. "night, yoongi. turn off the nightlight when you're ready to sleep" you said, switching the big light off. "goodnight y/n. thank you." he said, positioning himself in a comfortable manner. "i lo-" you shut the door. wait. what was that?

you opened the door again, but it was dark. not dark enough to see yoongi's silhouette which had been devoured by the blanket. oh. shit. maybe in the morning.
