My parents are a perfect example of this. They got married when my mom was 23, and my dad was 37. However, my dad is like the opposite of a predator. He despises those kinds of people. Anyway, they met out of circumstance and immediately clicked, but my dad was very hesitant when he found out how young my mom was. Fast forward 25 years, and they're still married, and they're one of the happiest couples I know.
I wish age gap discourse hadn't spiraled the way it has because I want there to be a safe space to say "Men in their 40s who date 25 year olds aren't predators, they're just fucking losers"
