I have discovered that Sailor Moon has two dubs, and a revival series, and as such I am feeling pretty spoiled for choice here. Lovely.

I have started watching Sailor Moon, essentially because I wanted something long, old and that wasn’t a shonen.

I’m watching the Viz Dub, but I’m open to suggestions if anyone recommends a different one (I don’t really have a stake in the whole subs v dubs thing, it typically just comes down to availability or just disliking a particular casting choice).

EDIT: eh, screw it, I’ll give the DiC Dub a whirl afterwards.

It wouldn't be Gundam: IBO if every last piece of ancillary media wasn't coming directly for your soul with extreme prejudice. For example, this description of a menu item from one of the Gundam Café collabs, it's a drink dedicated to Yamagi:

I misplaced the exact quote on Shino's drink, so from memory, it was Shino urging people in Tekkadan to celebrate life, enjoy life, party till their hearts' content, and while they're at it, drink a toast to their fallen comrades as well.

I'm not even a yaoi guy but even I can see the logic behind charmuro. Come the fuck on. The way their fistfight in CCA is framed and edited. "I'M doing something EXTREMELY WICKED OooOOOOOooOoOoOO." Beyond the Time literally starts with some guy going YOU BELONG TO ME. Tomino himself fucking said the possibility occurred to him when writing CCA. Why? Because he has a functioning brain stem. Lhasa, Tibet no longer exists in this setting because these two fucking space disaster bisexuals couldn't nut the fuck up and have a disastrous enemies-to-lovers tryst on a carnival cruise ship, breaking up for good because char quietly went david lynch villain on the filet mignon like a little freak and caused amuro to take a deep, dark newtype trip into his Ghost in the Shell 2 mind palace with a horrible bust of Lalah as a hooters pieta right in the center of the basement made out of magnum wrappers and juicy fruit. Char would have just spent UC 0093 being a tryhard divorced guy getting really into warhammer. Tomino. You fool, you imbecile, you fucking nerd. You doomed your own setting. You madman.

One thing I love about the Gyan Eos is that they don’t really have a set colour scheme. Red is usually the default, but the pilot of the Gyan Eos was Johnny Ridden who, surprise surprise, paints his units red. The second unit was piloted by Uma Lightning, and was painted in his signature blue.

(Also, no idea on how many of these things were built. Maybe Two! Maybe Four! Maybe More! Maybe None! So that’s fun)
