My parents and I went up to my brother's apartment to visit with him and have dinner with him. My dinner was beautiful in the presentation department, and it tasted good. You can't really go wrong with a kamikaze roll, after all.

Just started watching Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles. I finished Episode 2 a few minutes ago. Favorite character so far? Tetsujin. He just seems so precious. Knowledgeable, yet a bit ditzy. "I can feel my liver. Squishy." That's one of my favorite quotes so far. Funniest? The shogun. He's so over-the-top selfish, I love it. I'm also really enjoying the Edo Period aesthetic, as well as the scenes stylized to look like paintings.

Overall, I like this show so far. I look forward to seeing how it progresses. :)

Turtles Rotting My Brain and Breaking Into My Dreams

I just woke up recently, so I have to post this before I forget.

Donnie was in my dreams for some reason.

We were in a maze/labyrinth, searching for something with some third person I can't remember (it wasn't April, I know that). Here are the highlights.

Rules posters on the walls telling us not to let Donnie order the "It's All Peach!" Menu. Not because he's allergic to peaches, but because he has eaten everything on the menu in one sitting before and will do it again.

Illustrations of Donnie on said posters, including one of him liquefied in a cup while Mikey looks on, horrified

Me finding a keyboard and proceeding to play the first 8 bars of Megalovania on it; messed up the 2nd and 6th, by the way

Telling Donnie he looks tired, then proceeding to collapse from exhaustion after playing Megalovania

So yeah. Turtles have rotted my brain, and I couldn't be happier.

Treating myself to some Hot Cocoatello by the light of my galaxy glitter lamp because we're at record low summer temperatures

I got inspired by the ongoing ROTTMNT Apocalyptic Series by @somerandomdudelmao and made a Future design for my OC.

Death would be the realistic outcome for me and my OC (Regiomontanus/Gio), but it isn't the "cool" one, so I made an actual design, too. (Pardon the lighting on this next photo.)

It's very rough and isn't quite complete, but I had fun drawing it. I even came up with a bit of backstory (frontstory?) too:

Assigned to espionage and chemical warfare; occasionally assists in the medical bay

About 6' 3"; close to Future Donnie's height; feels short now that everyone else has caught up to them height-wise

Takes advantage of sea turtle traits to sneak through waterways

Gas masks help to reduce exposure both to weapons (land mask) and to toxic materials in the water (aquatic mask)

Cargo shorts provide extra storage space for chemical vials

Survived an encounter with Brother Krang (by getting the heck out of there ASAP), but got decently beat up by it, especially on the left side of their body

Survived longer than Raph (Mr. "Hero Who Must Protect Everyone"), died before Donnie

So yeah. This was just a quick little exercise to practice my freehand pen drawing skills (and seeing how long I could procrastinate on my work :p).
