Big Brain Time

I've decided to go on a quest for G1 Lagoona's fashion packs, starting with her Scream Uniform.

Problem is, it's old, so people are selling it for stupid prices. The most worthwhile way I was able to get my hands on this one was to buy it in parts...but another problem arises. No one is selling her bikini top by itself. That's the only part I was missing. (Well, and the earrings, but I plan to use it on Dead Tired Lagoona, who doesn't have earring holes anyway.)

Luckily, I was able to devise a solution using another part of my collection.

A stock photo of Original Ghouls Lagoona. Even from a distance, you can tell that she's cheaper in quality--no paint on her shoes, less detail on her shorts and hoodie, and a flower barrette instead of a pin, among other things.

I have the Original Ghouls Collection Lagoona, which is essentially a lower-quality basic/first-wave Lagoona. She has the same scale pattern on her hoodie, anyway. I cut out a section from the back of OG's hoodie, shaped it to look like a bikini top, and stitched some ribbons to it for structure and support. For the finishing touch, I took a couple of Crayola markers and colored over the fabric/ribbons to make them match the artwork.

I'm pretty proud of the final product! Here's Skull Shores Lagoona modeling it. :)

Hey, do any of you remember Fijit Friends? These weird little things from Girl Tech and Mattel that released/blew up in 2011 and just...died two years later?

Because I do. Oh, boy, I do. My brain just decided to hyperfixate on them, and I made a full-blown personality quiz about them in the span of about 30 minutes.

Okay, okay, SO. Update from ~a month and a half later.

Item (d) on my list happened, and the ROTTMNT fandom is getting enough momentum and outside support to say that (a) is within the realm of possibility.

OP is right. This is the good luck post.
