A while ago, to promote/hype up the G3 reboot, the Monster High Twitter account put out this "What is your monster name?" thing.
I got bored, so I decided to try making a G1-style character based on my result.
This is Witchy McChilling, the (adopted) daughter of Jason and Medea. She's a witch/sea monster hybrid who is well-adapted to the cold, dark depths of the Mediterranean Sea.
As Medea's child and pupil, Witchy is learning a variety of magical spells, but her favorite is transmutation (a.k.a. shape-shifting). She loves to take on a mermaid-like form when swimming, turning her legs into a tail. As a half-sea creature hybrid, she doesn't really need the tail, but she thinks it's fun.
She has two pets: Tundra the Arctic wolf pup, and Mariner the seal-dog. They are her everything.
Despite being introverted and reserved, Witchy does have a few close friends at Monster High:
Lagoona Blue (from a shared love of swimming, and Lagoona's general openness)
Iris Clops (from a shared interest in astronomy)
C.A. Cupid (from a shared adoration of history's fanciful, frilly outfits)
Casta Fierce (from Circe and Medea's familial connection)
Other traits are as follows (without the monster puns, because I want to be concise right now. Maybe I'll draw up a G1-style profile for Witchy at a later point.)
Freaky Flaw: Very sensitive to changes in her environment, especially temperature and sound
Killer Style: Couch-potato pirate, with a tiny bit of scene thrown in for good measure
Pet Peeve: Being interrupted or ignored when she has something to say
Favorite Activity: Listening to music, but she also has to be doing something else (drawing, practicing her spells, etc.)
Favorite Food: Firecracker shrimp
Favorite Class: Astronomy
Least Favorite Class: Horror Literature
