You softly hummed along to the song that softly played through the speakers as you chopped the vegetables. You were in the kitchen, preparing dinner for your family.

"Mommy," you hummed in response, glancing up from the cutting board to see your seven-year-old daughter standing by the entrance of the kitchen.

When she didn't respond, you looked up at her again. She was nervously biting on her bottom lip, and she awkwardly shifted in her position. You frowned. "Luna, baby, is there something wrong?" You asked, and she shook her head.

"I think I'm ready to call Taehyung my daddy. I don't want to call him Taehyung anymore, mommy. I want him to be my dad."

Your eyes widened, and you put the knife down before making your way to her.

"Are you sure, baby? Are you sure you want him to be your daddy?" You asked, crouching down to her level and placing your hands on her cheeks. She nodded. "Yes, mommy." You smiled and pulled her into your embrace. "You're going to make him so happy, baby."

When Taehyung first came into your life, Luna was just five years old.

After your ex-boyfriend cheated on you and left you during your pregnancy, it took you ages to trust or date another guy, even after Luna's birth. When you finally did try dating again, none of the guys you talked to would talk to you again after you told them about Luna.

All of those guys would completely ghost you. Well, all of them except Taehyung.

When you told him about Luna, he didn't become awkward. Instead, a smile grew on his face. He seemed to show a great interest in her and asked about her. Taehyung often asked about how she was doing when the two of you went on dates or hung out.

When they finally met, they instantly clicked. The sight of Luna laughing with Taehyung as they played with her toys made you happy. That's when you knew Taehyung was going to be perfect for you. He was going to be perfect for both of you.

Now skip three years, and Taehyung's now your husband, and Luna will be turning eight in a few months.

"Am I really?" your daughter asked, and you nodded. "Super happy."

"I'm home!" Taehyung exclaimed, closing the door behind him. "We're in the kitchen!"

He removed his shoes and a smile plastered on his face as he made his way to the kitchen. When he walked in, Luna didn't hesitate to run up to him and wrap her arms around his legs. “You’re home!” "Hey, princess," he said with a chuckle, picking up the little girl.

"Hey, Tae, how was your day at work?" You asked, closing the pot and making your way towards your husband. You placed your hand on his shoulder and gave him a peck on his lips. "Ew," Luna cringed, and Taehyung chuckled before pecking her cheeks.

"Ew! Don't do that, daddy! That's gross!" She whined, wiping her cheeks and sending the male a playful glare as she pouted. Taehyung's mouth fell open in surprise, and he quickly looked at you before looking back at Luna.

"Luna, baby... what did you call just me?"

"I called you daddy! I don't want to call you Taehyung anymore. You're my dad." There was a big smile plastered on her face, and as he looked at her, he felt himself tearing up. "Oh no, why are you crying?" She quickly placed her hands on his cheeks.

"These are tears of joy, sweetie. I'm so happy. I'm crying because you just made me so happy."

"Mommy, I made daddy so happy, he cried! You were right!" She giggled, and you hummed in response. "You knew?" He asked, and you nodded, flashing him a smile. "For how long?"

"She told me today. About an hour or two before you came in."

Taehyung couldn't help but shower the little young girl with kisses all over her face. He was so happy. He wanted Luna to see him as her father for the longest time. So hearing her call him daddy, he just couldn't help but feel ecstatic. This meant she finally saw him as a father and not the man her mother is married to.

"Daddy! Stop!" She whined, with a couple of giggles coming escaping from her mouth. "Okay, I'll stop. I love you so much, princess. I love the both of you so so much," he said, causing you to smile.

"We love you too, Tae." "Yeah, we love you too, daddy!" She exclaimed, wrapping her arms around his neck and resting her head on his shoulder.

"Oh my god, I feel like I'm going to cry again."
