In Super Paper Mario, the Big Blooper boss fight in Chapter 3-2 is supposed to involve a large amount of waiting. Only one of the Big Blooper's tentacles (the red one) can be damaged; the player is intended to wait until it attacks with that tentacle after attacking with other tentacles several times, and then the sequence repeats until it is defeated.

However, an extremely easy trick shown in the footage exists to speed up the fight considerably. If Mario flips into 3D and tries to escape the arena, the Blooper will block his way with its tentacles. By going back and forth along the edge, it will quickly bring up the red tentacle among the others.

Then, quickly changing to Bowser and using his fire breath will attack the red tentacle automatically since in 2D all of the blocking tentacles are considered to be in the same position. This completely skips having to wait for the Blooper to use the red tentacle for its attack, and allows the battle to be finished several times faster.
