They Might Be Onto Something. I've Been Trying To Figure Out How Kenjaku Used Wasuke's Death As A Catalyst
They might be onto something. I've been trying to figure out how Kenjaku used Wasuke's death as a catalyst for Yuuji (like, did it unseal the finger he was born with?).
I'd also been thinking that it could be like a balance of strength within a family. We know how twins work as one person, but it's so rare even for 2 siblings to have a CT. I think Mimiko doesn't have one at all.
And the most powerful sorcerers (Gojo, Geto) don't come from families with those abilities. Obv there's the Gojo clan, but his parents weren't fit to raise him as a sorcerer.
The Zenin clan is an outlier, but it's also pretty big, and we don't even know how many kids Naobito made his wife have until one of them got a CT. I think they can have so many with CT just because the clan is so big.
And the ten shadows user (their best CT) was born from Toji - who had no cursed energy at all. I rly think this is about balance?
Nitta, the supervisor, can only see curses, and took the position to support her brother.
Haibara forbid his sister from entering jujutsu high (which seemed weird when I found out, but maybe it's because she wouldn't be strong enough).

some foods for thoughts, ain't they?

In another translation of the fanbook the question is if the Inumaki family are the last cursed speech users left in the world... which is a very different question from this so how could it be translated so differently? Also, in the Thorny Road At Down novel, the cursed speech user Nobara and Toge are facing said that he learned ONE of the Inumaki family's cursed speech users is in Jujutsu High; meaning there are more. So I suppose this right here is the mistranslation?
I keep thinking about this, so help me out.
The first year students went out of their way to beat up bullies.
The second year students were bullied.
Maybe now that Sukuna is a slime, Yuuji will live up to his words and actually accept him.
Tbh I don't get all the "first name basis, call him Megumi" posts bc Megumi doesn't like his first name. He prefers Fushiguro. He introduces himself by that only, like when Yuuji and Nobara used their full names, all he said was "Fushiguro". That name means nothing to him but resentment.
It's kind of in the same vein as Maki saying to not call her Zenin - which, weirdly, Megumi kept doing, despite having a similar issue with his own name. I guess this shows that he's a distant person, more comfortable with being yelled at than being on a first-name basis.
Anyway, "call him Yuuji" makes sense. But I think there are other, better ways for Yuuji to call Megumi by.
Though the meaning of his name feels more relevant than ever, especially with the split and Sukuna being like "I am a curse", it almost feels like he would start to go by Megumi at this point.
