The fucking irony that I was going to start JJK over for the 9th or 10th (at this point I'm not sure bc I watch them in different orders bc it hits different ok) time,

but went for the movie to start this run,

And before I got around to the first episode

Anyway I think that Gojo knows who passed away but he asks Yuuji anyway, to give him the space to talk about it. To hear what Yuuji calls his grandfather.

Gojo had lost Suguru less than a year before then, and to everyone else, Geto was only the worst curse user, the most evil, etc. Principal Yaga and Shoko knew what Geto was to him, but they were also pissed off at Geto.

Gojo didn't have the space to grieve. You saw him with that fake naruto-wide smile throwing peace signs while saying that he and Yuuta were distantly related. He had to put his mask back on so fast.

Also I think Gojo calls everyone by their first names bc he doesn't want them to feel alone, to feel like no one actually knows them.

I just think that if Gojo wanted a change then he would have gone for something to look different.

But his hair looks the same as it did back in high school (when it's not held up by the blindfold).

Gojo dresses the same, the only difference rly is that he doesn't wear buttons on his clothes. (Yes I'm thinking about him holding Suguru's button so hard it makes blood drip down his hand. Even though Gojo has infinity and Geto just killed a village, Gojo was not ready to push him away.

My other headcannon here is that Geto used to give him head massages, so Gojo was able to get by with just wearing sunglasses (even if they were opaque, they didn't wrap around the sides).

Without Geto by his side, Gojo's sensory issues became worse. He was sent out all the time, and he accepted the missions to fill the void. But it would drive him to burnout and breaking down, so the compromise was that he'd wear blindfolds whenever he needed to. Which became almost all the time (remember how in JJK0 his students didn't recognize him without the blindfold, despite him being the most well-known sorcerer of the modern age).

2) Gojo's undercut isn't about him trying to forget Suguru. Doesn't he still wear his bf's hair tie? Also it's been 10 years you don't think that everyone has had one haircut or style change in a decade?

Gojo's undercut IS a product of convenience. You know how messy and uncomfortable it is to wear a blindfold knotted into your hair? Then just shave half of it off and it's so much better. Shaved hair is a better sensory experience, and we already know he has sensory issues especially photophobia but I wouldn't be surprised if he uses infinity to avoid certain textures.

Blindfolds not only cover more area than glasses, but they also apply even pressure on the head. I think it's similar to a stim, like a weighted blanket or something to prevent/relieve headaches.

At that point Gojo had automated infinity but he would always let Geto through

guys don't think about getou leaving behind his jacket button for gojo because in japan it's a tradition to leave your jacket button to the person you like when you graduate. or the fact that gojo held it so tightly to the point he bled. and the fact that this could all mean nothing.

AT THE END OF THE MOVIE Yuuta is wearing a normal black uniform jacket. After Rika was free.

I think he showed up wearing white in Shibuya to be easily identified, or because it's what was on him - - in Kenya we only see Yuuta with his white jacket. He only wore the black one when it was snowing.

Also IN THE BEGINNING OF the movie he was wearing a baggy white shirt.

White shirts are normally under the black jackets, so Gojo just reversed that to give Yuuta something like his own style I'm. Screaming crying into the void bc this shit is what makes me fall for Gojo. He fucking cares about people, in the ways that he knows how to. Pls appreciate him oh my god he's always just called weird and he deserves to be recognized for ittttt.

My thoughts on Yuuji's customized school uniform

Fushiguro said that Gojo has a habit of doing that sort of thing- but he only did it for Yuuta and Yuuji.

Yuuta has the white jacket to represent Rika. Pale and external but covering him. Something that might be removed.

Yuuji's hood, shoes, and the shirt under his jacket are red. Red like sukuna's fingies and eyes, or like Yuuji's old shoes. Always a part of him.

Yuuji's pants also have a different shape. They're wider and shorter. I think Gojo was taking precautions to have Sukuna's vessel easy to recognize in a crowd, but to also let Yuuji be comfortable. He was facing a lot of change and loss in a short time, and Gojo recognized that. So the uniform fits like the clothes he would usually wear.

I don't know if this was to pacify the higher ups on Gojo taking in first years with special grade curses that didn't know anything about jujutsu. It could have been his own, unusually responsible choice.

Nobara didn't even know that the uniforms were customizable and I'm still sad that we don't get to see what she would have chosen.
