Recently found out the OSD creator is transphobic and I’m- upset, to say the least.

As a fellow Christian, I fully understand not wanting to support their ideas, but come ON.

Calcium, I get your point, but you’re also contradicting yourself. I thought one of the biggest things in Christianity is “love others as you love yourself” and “respect everyone” and “forgive everyone, even the evil people, because everyone is human” was important too? Why do we have to cherry pick what part of the Bible we need to believe in?

I am somewhat against the surgeries, but, I cannot stop them. If it’s what makes them happy, and they won’t regret it, then they have every right to do it. It’s their body, not mine. I’m not the one in charge of them, and I can’t control them like a puppet. Every person is their own. Every person has free will, and can say what they want to.

Why is it so hard for people to accept that other people just won’t live like you do? Why do you want everyone to be just like you? Wouldn’t that be such a boring world to live in? You don’t have to hate people for what they like. You wouldn’t like it if others wanted to get rid of the undertale fandom because they’re “ruining the country” and are “going to destroy the world”, would you? No. No you wouldn’t.

Is it so hard to give everyone respect for their beliefs? You don’t have to like it, but really, in my opinion, all that’s needed is an “I don’t believe in what you do, but I can’t, and won’t stop you from doing what you think is right. I respect your choice, and I wish you the best.”

Calcium, will all due respect, I don’t believe you get to pull the Bible on trans people when one of its most prominent messages is to love everyone. Love everyone, no exceptions. Love the sinners, your abusers, your enemies. You don’t have to like them, but they still need respect. You can hate them all you want, but god will still love them regardless. It doesn’t matter if they’re gay, trans, racist, sexist, or anything, God will still love them.

Understand that everyone needs love, even the people you hate.

Problem solved they’re all neurodivergent now

no bc deadass the rescue bots are straight up mean as hell. like, they arent evil or immoral they’re just rude. to the point where they’re meaner than the decepticons ok like megatron kept avoiding actually gettind rid of starscream despite the constant murder attempts but heatwave was willing to get rid of two of the other bots (blades after he abandoned a rescue bc of an avalanche and blurr bc blurr). heatwave is more ruthless than megatron which is so damn funny. blades keeps insulting people for no good reason (sometimes it makes sense but like quickshadow’s accent and how she talks made him so upset). chase is harder to see but he’s willing to do anything to follow the rules and he tends to repeatedly bring up other people’s issues (i dont think i have to explain but like example is little white lies. that whole episode). boulder is very sweet most of the time but the instant heatwave gets in on it he does too. multiple times in the show this has happened (off the top of my head when blades got the scoop claw hw and boulder were laughing at him and when hw made fun of blades boulder laughed, also heatwave was saying blurr was super annoying and boulder agreed).

to be clear this is a good thing. i wanna see more complex characters who are still fundamentally good people!! you can be callous, have low empathy, be egotistical, get angry, make fun of ur friends and still make good choices and still help people. you at your worst and you at your best are still both you, but your worst being bad doesn’t mean your best isn’t good. especially because morality wise the rescue bots are the best people. i mean, they aren’t war criminals (or regular criminals), they don’t physically harm others, they don’t put others at risk (at least not intentionally), and they literally had to pretend to be actual machines while risking their lives every day. these people who treated them as essentially slaves were who they had to protect. and they did it, over and over again, without hesitation. and i think they deserve to be a bit rude for that, and because their meanness comes from caring. if they didn’t care they wouldn’t bother to speak up and be heard, even if it’s in a disrespectful way. but they do.

anyways idk rescue bots brainrot and the concept of a fundamentally good society have been eating away at me.

Reminds me of Rottmnt with splinter and the turtles, to be honest.

The turtles are fully able to take care of themselves like the bots are, so their parental figures (splinter and Optimus) just hang back and let them figure it out themselves. They only intervene when they need to (such as the turtles being held prisoner by draxum or the rescue bots getting stuck in the past). In my opinion, I think Optimus is trying to help them grow. He’s not doing the best, but he’s busy trying to keep Nevada from blowing up right now and can’t always be there. When he can, however, he feels more confident and sure of his actions. He threw himself through a Time Machine (and bumblebee) to protect the rescue bots. And again, in the alternate timeline, Optimus still tries to let them handle it on their own, while helping in his own way by BEATING THE FUCK OUT OF SHIT ROBOTS.

Tldr: Optimus is taking a hands off approach to parenting in my opinion.

rescue bots optimus is such a funny character because he's. so useless. like most of the time he's just there not doing anything just chilling and almost all of the rest of the time he is actively making things worse. maybe three times he's made good decisions with/for them.

griffin rock is his vacay spot his brain completely shuts down there. or just when he talks to the rescue bots. literally second episode he's already hanging up on them when they bring up legitimate concerns after being zero help. heatwave asked if he had any advice and he went "good luck." and cut the call. legend behavior but also damn you didn't have to do them that dirty.

anyways he's a shitty absent father with communication issues and i think that's very babygirl of him. (jk mostly i mean the rescue bots r very capable w/o him but he has helped them. it's just funny seeing how background he is and how laidback he is in their lives. i think he cares about them but in like a "i don't know what's going on with you guys and i don't think i wanna know so imma stay over here" way.)
