Verity, My Protagonist In My No Mans Sky Fic.
Verity, my protagonist in my No Man’s Sky fic.

She enjoys documenting the people and places she comes across on her journeys, not only for herself, but also for her family back home. (I write an AU where Earth exists.)

In her rare moments of downtime (space exploration is a full-time job), she experiments with various editing techniques, usually accompanied by her oldies playlist.
Her sister tells her she should be a National Geographic photographer. Verity tells her that all the explorers take photos like this, and hers are a dime a dozen.
which oc is a photographer? what or who do they photograph?

Pretty much! 😆

Oof. I feel this on a deep level.
Sometimes my words match my passionate imaginings closely enough. Other times, they look like drunken gnomes staggering across the page.
If I could get at least sober gnomes more often, it wouldn’t be so discouraging.
why must i Write Words? is it not enough to imagine, passionately,
You’re good! I can read rambles about Pinhead/Captain Elliot Spencer all day.
I really wish the series would have explored the Hell Priest’s two halves more. There’s all kinds of room for psychological depth there and an exploration of trauma and pain. But instead, the studio went, “hurr durr, blood and chains, hurr durr.” The original two movies were all about the darker depths of human psychology, and that’s what the franchise should have stuck with. The blood and chains were simply the proverbial cherry on top.
I’m looking forward to seeing what else you have cooked up for them.

I would say this film is an adventure story even though there is no brandishing of weapons or battles involving supernatural powers.

However, this story is not a showdown between right and wrong. It is a story in which the heroine will be thrown into a place where the good and the bad dwell together, and there, she will experience the world.

She will learn about friendship and devotion, and will survive by making full use of her brain.

She sees herself through the crisis, avoids danger and gets herself back to the ordinary world somehow.

She manages, not because she has destroyed the “evil,” but because she has acquired the ability to survive.

It’s sad to think that Elliot Spencer’s sense of humor was relegated to his shadow side as well.
I can just picture the men in his unit talking about how they like the Captain, but he doesn’t appreciate a good joke. Deep down, though, not only is he laughing with them, but joining in the hijinks and even devising pranks of his own.
One can only imagine the kind of stuffy family he was from if both his joy/humor and sexuality were left to molder away in the shadow side, and eventually take on the twisted form that is Pinhead.
