*maladaptive daydreaming: a mental health issue that causes a person to lose themselves in complex daydreams. these daydreams are usually a coping mechanism for other mental health conditions or adverse circumstances.

sometimes I daydream about stuff happening in headspace and then I'm like “did that happen? or no?” usually it's bad stuff so I ask the alters I daydreamed abt and usually it's a “no that never happened” majority of the time though it's a fictive daydreaming about an AU we made of their source that they are from and they confuse the daydream for memories I have fallen victim to this MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT OH MY GOD Like- did this happen to me? or did it not? to be or not to be
