YOUR FRIENDLY(?) NEIGHBOURHOOD(?) SPIDER-MAN feat. getou suguru
ę° 2.4kęą thereâs something up with your roommate, and youâre determined to figure out what it is and what spider-man has to do with it.

Despite what people may think, youâre not stupid; thereâs something up with your roommate, and Spider-Man is somehow involved with it. Getou Suguru had been perfectly normal up until Spider-Manâs debut. More accurately, heâd normally been perfect. He never left dishes out, never randomly brought friends over without warning, never left washing lying around, you both evenly split chores with little argument, and he was so conscientious you occasionally mused over the idea of him even being real. He didnât hog the bathroom even with a meticulous skincare and hair routine â rather, at some point you two ended up doing it together. Youâd be pressed shoulder to shoulder in your small shared bathroom, rubbing moisturiser into your skin while he brushed his teeth, idle chatter exchanged throughout.
Then Spider-Man happened. Which isnât to say you hate the guy â all in all, you think heâs pretty noble. Not many people would have the guts to do what he does, yourself included, and you know Suguru has a quiet admiration for the man, no matter how much he plays it down. No number of heâs just doing what he can or he could always be doing more for the community is going to change your mind. If you were to ask your best friend, whoâs somehow gotten it in her head that youâre in love with the man and now spams you with roughly thirty edits of the vigilante a day, youâre his biggest fan. The problem is that heâs got something to do with Suguru, and whatever that is, your roommate is visibly falling apart.
He stays out later and sleeps in to hours heâd previously considered ridiculously late. Youâll wake up some mornings to the bathroom an absolute mess; items knocked over, something toppled into the sink, water dripping all over the floor, and the medicine cabinet torn apart. He neglects his chores, neglects his self-care routine, neglects everything. Despite the rapidly increasing hours outside of the house, his friends have confided in you that theyâve barely seen him; likewise, any conversation with him has halted abruptly. Thereâs no mutual skincare when heâs either sleeping or out, that horrid, filthy word; Iâm going out, or Iâll be out tonight, or Iâll be out late, donât stay up for me that has rapidly become the most popular phrase in his vocabulary.Â
Youâve been silently supporting him, cleaning up where heâs had no energy to. That doesnât change the feeling settling under your skin, the quiet acknowledgement that something is very, very wrong. Tonight, youâre going to do something about it.
Which leads to the present moment: you, a bag in hand and your heart thundering in your chest and a tender bruise purpling on your collarbone, two men, passed out in front of you, and the man of your most recent ire, Spider-Man, your newfound saviour. You stare at his face, because youâre angry at him, and if your eyes dart even slightly downward all youâre going to be thinking of are those edits your friend loves sending you. That, or the two unconscious would be muggers on the floor before you.
You know Spider-Man has something to do with what's affecting Suguru, because youâd sneaked a look in his bedroom and found the photowall his best friendâs Gojou and Ieiri forced him to make completely replaced with Spider-Man hit pieces. Heâd written notes, for God's sake, and youâre a little (read: incredibly) worried Spider-Man has somehow done something to either turn him into a die-hard fanboy hellbent on being his sidekick or a soon-to-be supervillain. Youâre not sure which is worse.
âAre you hurt, sweetheart?â
You startle, abruptly refocusing on Spider-Man and his dumb, stupid eye lenses. Eyes narrowing, you readjust your grip on your bag. âIâm fine.â You say shortly, and decidedly do not mention the fact he called you sweetheart. He doesnât call people sweetheart. You know this, because of all the soundbites attached at the start of those godforsaken edits, sweetheart has never been there.Â
Okay, maybe itâs a little embarrassing youâre using that as your point of reference.
He doesnât leave, even though heâs Spider-Man and should probably be stopping another three crimes right now. Instead, he steps closer â you step back. He halts. âAre you sure?â
âPositive.âÂ
âAlright. Where are you going?â
You take another step back, eyes darting to the edge of the street behind you. âWhatâs it to you?âÂ
âHey, Iâm sorry.â His hands raise in a sign of surrender, hanging in clear view of you at the sides of his head. âIâm just worried. Itâs risky for someone as pretty as you to be out so late alone with nothing to defend yourself.â
Someone as pretty as youâ you cut that off for your own safety. Your mouth opens, closes, opens again. In the end, you blink dumbly; he watches you, and you suddenly, viciously hate that you canât see his face. Heâs probably laughing at you right now, and you have no idea. â...Pretty?â
âWas that too much?â
Oh. Spider-Man is conscientious. âUm, no. Itâs fine. Sorry. I just, um, wasnât expecting it.â
âReally? Iâd have thoughtââ
âOkay, maybe it is a bit much.â He immediately shuts his mouth. Stupidly, you kind of regret it, but you canât be getting side-tracked right now. Youâre going to be embarrassed enough recalling this memory, no need to make it worse by collapsing out of embarrassment or some other, worse alternative. âI was just heading home. I, uh, bought groceries.â
âIt couldnât have waited until tomorrow?â He asks. âCrime has been up around here lately. You couldnât have gotten a friend to come with you?â
Spider-Man is scolding me right now, you think, a bit hysterically. Whatever. FIne. This is normal. âUm. No. I need it now.â
âReally? It couldnât have waited until the morning?â
âNo.â You say forcefully. âItâs for my roommate.â
âYour roommate.â His tone falls flat. You squint at him, and he jolts. âI mean, uh, what does your roommate need so bad? Did he ask you to get something?â
âItâs none of your business.â You hug your bag closer to your chest. Spider-Man, the root of whatever is causing this change in Suguru, doesnât deserve to know. Wait. Pause.
Wouldnât he be the perfect person to tell? His voice got all wonky when you mentioned a roommate, so maybe he knows Suguru is your roommate? And if he does in fact know that, doesnât that mean he in some way knows Suguru? Which, as the cause of his stress, means that if you inadvertently guilt trip him by info-dumping, you could get righteous, conscientious Spider-Man to fix whatever is going on there? Or push him away, if crazy-fanboy-theory is right?
You ignore how full of holes your logic is.
âWalk me home.â You say. He stares. Squaring your shoulders, you tilt your chin up so you two are making proper eye contact, taking a step towards him. âWhat, is it an inconvenience?â
âNo. No. Itâs, uh, not an inconvenience.â You turn on your heel, continuing on your stroll to your apartment and ignoring the sound of his footsteps as he falls into step beside you. âI was under the impression that you werenât too happy to see me.â
âThen why did you stick around?â You pause. There is a good reason to be surprised by your sudden change in attitude. âSorry. Iâm, uh, not in the best mood.â
âThatâs okay.â
You clear your throat, training your eyes ahead of you. âItâs a surprise for my roommate.â
He fails to keep his tone even. âA surprise?â
âYeah.â Your tongue darts over your lips. You need more chapstick. âHe, um, has been feeling off lately. Stressed. Tired. Heâs been, uh, leaving stuff around the apartment and heâs barely talking to me. Iâm worried about him.â
âYou donât need to worry about him that much.â
âHow would you know?â You ask pointedly. He doesnât say anything in response. Twat. âHeâs my roommate. You know, he hasnât been taking care of himself. Heâs got these deep bags under his eyes, heâs barely bothering to take care of his hair, and heâs been taking a bunch of paracetamol lately. Heâs going through, like, three times the usual amounts of coffee, and heâs staying out so late that heâs sometimes still not home when I wake up. We havenât hung out in ages, did you know his friends talked to me because they were so worried? And I canât even talk to him, because when heâs not sleeping, heâs out. God, heâs always out nowadays. I donât even know where heâs going, but heâs there all the time, and he wonât tell anyone, andââ
Spider-Man makes a vague shushing sound, impossibly soothing and impossibly familiar. âItâs okay, angel. Iâm sure he appreciates being this cared about.â
âHe better.â You huff, an intelligible feeling caught in your throat. You clear it, eyes skittering to the pavement beneath your feet. âI just- heâs really worrying me, you know? Heâs a good person. Such a good person. Iâm worried about what has him like this, but I donât want to push him, so itâs like, how am I supposed to figure it out?â
âMaybe he canât tell you.â
âThat doesnât help.â You groan, running a hand over the bridge of your nose. âBut, um, I wanted to change that.â
âYeah?â
âYeah. I know that itâs not going to make him more likely to tell me or anything, but I wanted to cheer him up.â Your fingers tighten on the strap of the bag, flexing and unflexing. You adjust your grip only for a covered hand to offer itself, palm up as his fingers linger on your arm. You pass him the plastic bag. âI donât know when he gets home, so I was going to make Suguru his favourite and Iâve bought a bunch of snacks. I rented out his favourite movie â itâs this obscure film from the 80âs that he loves â and Iâve bought a new bottle of nail polish, Iâve got a face mask, I just thought⌠maybe I could incentivise him to calm down, and take a moment to spend time with me. I even bought scented candles. How dumb is that?â
âI think heâs going to love it.âÂ
âYou donât know that.â
âI do.â His voice is firm and, when you glance at him, his face is turned towards you. Through the thin fabric of his suit, his adam's apple bobs as he swallows. âI think thatâs incredibly thoughtful of you, and heâd be stupid to not appreciate it. Itâll make him really happy, I promise.â
âI hope so,â you mutter. âSorry for being a little rude earlier.â
âItâs fine. You were startled, thereâs no need to apologise.â
âStill. Iâm sorry.â Your hands move to rub at your cheeks, your palms warm against the chill of the night. âI, um.â
âYou?â
âNo, nevermind. Itâs dumb.â
âNothing you say is dumb,â he says sweetly, because Spider-Man is apparently the sweetest man youâll ever meet, second only to Getou Suguru. âWhatever you want to tell me, Iâll listen. Thereâs no judgement here.â
You hum in reply, breathing in deeply and letting the air linger in your lungs before you exhale. Youâre clearly not the mastermind you thought you were; that wasnât so much guilt-tripping as it was venting, and thereâs no repressed guilt floating about Spider-Man. If there is, heâs hiding it remarkably well. How embarrassing. You just vented your heart out on accident to a vigilante â a very attractive vigilante, might you add â and for what? A bit of catharsis? Suddenly, intensely, you feel like a piece of shit.
âThanks,â you say finally. âThatâs really nice of you.â
You both fall into an awkward silence. For a long moment, the only thing that sounds around you is the passing stream of traffic; someone rolls down the window of their car to hell âayo, Spider-Man!â as you walk past. Itâs only as you near your apartment that you ask yourself; why did he even walk you home? Surely it wasnât just because you told him to. How does he know where you live?
Well, thereâs a rational answer to that. He probably was just silently following you as the two of you walked. But then again, shouldnât he have asked? Arenât vigilantes all about like, secrecy and secret identities? Wouldnât he want to know where he was taking you?
All good questions, youâre sure, and all incapable of being answered.
âThank you for walking with me,â you say finally, instead of why did you? Donât you have a dozen other people you could walk home right now? âUm, stay safe. Thank you again.â Thereâs an awkward shuffle as you reach for your bag, fingers curling around the plastic as you tug it off his arm and he makes no move to help you. You offer him a small, hopeless smile.
âHey,â Spider-Man says softly, âcheer up a little. I really think your roommateâs gonna love it.â
You huff. âI can only hope.â You tug the bag close against your chest, ducking your head in greeting. âHave a good night.â
Then youâre turning your back to him. You immediately hear the little thwip that must be the projectiles he uses to transport himself â youâve heard theyâre webs, but thereâs no way heâs that into the gimmick â and, when you turn to look at where he once stood, no oneâs there. Oh well. Itâs not like you were going to invite him inside; you have a meal to make for Suguru for when he inevitably gets home at some ridiculous hour.

When you enter your apartment, you take a moment to just stare. Suguru is before you, breath coming in quick, short pants as he shoves a shirt over his head, showing for a half a second the broad expanse of his back. His hair is an uncharacteristic mess and, when he looks over his shoulder at you, thereâs a fond curve to his eyes.
âHi,â Suguru says, breathless and his cheeks lined with a soft shading pink. âSorry, I just got back from a run.â
You blink at him, and decide not to ask what he was doing going for a run at 11pm. âItâs okay. I was getting stuff for dinner. I was, uh, hoping we could maybe have a movie night? We havenât hung out much lately so, you know.â
His lips crack into a soft, warm smile. âYeah. That sounds great.â

i genuinely wish i was better at writing because this does not do the concept of spider-man!suguru justice. is the pacing dog? yes. is the writing dog? yes. god i wish i had the energy to properly flesh this out.
Silly update;
Am I dead? No, you're not getting rid of me that easily.
Am I writing? Sort of, finding motivation is hard as I tend to focus more on reality or write with AI's bc that's easier.
Will I write again? No idea tbh.
Do you like shrimps? I most definitely do.

The object which contains the veil is destroyed by Yuuji, and you can't help but notice how pretty the veil looks beautiful as it dissipates into nothing.
" wait- the anti sorcerer veil is the only one that got lifted, right? But didn't we break three of these? Including the one Ino broke?"
Yuuji realizes. Megumi's eyes are on you. You look distracted. After the veil went down, your eyes returned to the direction where the odd pull of cursed energy is coming from.
" You okay?"Â
You snap back to reality, glancing back at Megumi, who looks as unbothered as always.
" Yeah, just- nevermind."Â
You sigh, shaking your head. Things were brewing in Shibuya. This could be a trap, no matter how familiar the feeling is. Megumi searches your expression, but he doesn't push it. You'll find out what that call is later. You're needed here now.
" Either they used all three to lower one veil, or the other two were dummies. Either way, sorcerers are free to move now. That leaves the veil trapping Gojo sensei and the veil trapping the civilians. I wanted to interrogate the old man, but it looks like he's out cold."
You glance at the man, who's laid unconscious against a fence.Â
" I could heal him partially?"
" That's a waste of effort. There's no guarantee he'll work with us. We should rejoin Ino and-."
" Ino!"Â
Like he was summoned, the guy appears to be plummeting from the sky, not to far away from you. Megumi is quick to summon Nue, while Yuuji jumps down, a short cut of some sort. You uncap the water skin with clean water, coming to his aid as Yuuji catches him.
He looks bad. He's all roughed up, bleeding particularly nasty from the top of his head. You don't waste any time. Manipulating the water to surround your hands, you press them to the wound on his forehead. To your worry, he doesn't react to it. Nonetheless, the wound heals, the water on your hands melting into his skin.
" Y/N, your water-"Â
" Yeah, I know. It's alright, it does that with heavier injuries."Â
You explain, continuing to heal the wounds on him which you can see. The ones that look particular nasty. More and more of your water melts into his skin, but you'll be fine.Â
Besides, you can always use your own sweat to work with, no matter how uncomfortable and weird that is.
" Don't heal everyone you see. We need you in battle."Â
You shake your head.
" I can't not do that, Megumi. I'm a healer first."Â
Megumi sighs at your words. You smile at Him.
" Don't worry. I never run out of water sources.- Anyway, Ino won't be able to fight anymore, he'll have to tap out."Â
" I'm gonna go beat them up."
" Itadori, I understand how you feel, but what's our priority right now?"Â
Yuuji sighs.
" Gojo sensei."Â
" The veil's lifted. Those guys might've escaped already. Let's get Ino out of here."
" Take care of Ino for me."Â
Your mouth opens slightly in surprise, your eyes shifting from Ino to Yuuji.
" Where are you going?"
" I'll head to the station."Â
In a way, it's the best option. But the idea of operating in Shibuya alone right now?
" All right, but-"Â
" If I die, you'll kill me, right?"Â
Yuuji's grinning, pointing fingers guns at Megumi.Â
Megumi seems surprised, but doesn't verbally react to it for a moment.
" Besides, I have Mechamaru with me. Even though he has been quiet for a while."Â
Megumi sighs, getting up. Nue flexes it's wings as Megumi does so, ready to take off with Ino on hs back.
" All right, as long as you understand."Â
" I can come with you?"Â
" No."Â
Both guys are quick to turn down your offer, causing you to raise a questionable brow.
" What's that supposed to mean? "Â
" You have to stay alive. You can't die in our universe. "Â
" Exactly. And I'm going where it's more dangerous, so you'll be safer with Fushiguro."Â
You give both of them an offended look.
" Are you calling me weak?"Â
Yuuji blinks, an obvious sign that he absolutely did not mean that. Megumi sighs too.
" Don't be fussy about it, Y/N. You must have people back at home who are worried about you. You can't die here. It's cruel."Â
Megumi fixes you with a look, and you pout, before sighing. He's right. Your parents, your friends, they must all be incredibly worried about you. Hell, with how long you've been here, you wouldn't be surprised if they were mourning your death. You want to see them at least once, before you die.
" Fine. But just... be careful."Â
Yuuji grins at you, nodding.Â
" Don't worry. I'll be there the day we find you a way back home. "Â
He's playfully winking at you, and then he's running off.
You and Megumi turn around, making your way towards the edge of the veil trapping civilians.Â
Every few seconds, he glances at you. You know him well enough to know that he wants to ask a question.
" Hm? What is it?"Â
For a moment he doesn't say anything, walking on, but eventually, he finally speaks.
" What had you so distracted earlier?"Â
You turn to him in surprise.
" Oh. Something is pulling at my cursed energy. I've felt it before, but I just can't remember where."Â
He sends you a worried glance.
" Pulling at your cursed energy? "Â
" Yeah. Like someone else is using it. Which is weird, because I don't exist in this universe."Â
A real pity. He thinks to himself.
" Like a call?"Â
" Exactly like that."Â
" Do you still feel it?"Â
You nod.
" I do."Â
" Where is it coming from?"Â
You stop walking, glancing in a specific direction.
" It's sort of distant, but my guess it's that it's coming from somewhere on the other side of Shibuya."Â
-
Inumaki Toge was annoying, and useless.Â
Now of course, Sukuna was well aware that he was simply greater than his senpai, especially in hand to hand combat, considering the Heavenly Pact he's been blessed with at birth. However, he also knows that Toge's cursed technique can simply step on him like a bug.Â
By now, Sukuna has realized that there's something wrong. He's definitely not home, and this Inumaki seems to be completely unfamiliar with him. Every move he taught his senpai was not being used currently. Nonetheless, Inumaki is throwing punch after punch, trying to aim on his face. A stupid move. He knew all his schoolmate's fighting styles', and there were only a few who stood a fair chance against him in hand to hand combat. Zen'In Maki, and Itadori Yuuji. Not Inumaki Toge.Â
What Sukuna doesn't understand is that Inumaki was not using his cursed technique. If he wished, he could have easily defeated him with a few words. Currently, Sukuna simply dances around him, using the space around him to their advantage. He's sparred with you often enough to know how you move. He knows it well enough to copy in a situation like this. In fact, the only reason he's ever been able to beat you is because he can predict your movements. An opponent who'd stand against you with no knowledge of how you move, would lose in a heartbeat.
Either way, he was starting to grow bored. Smoothly avoiding punches and kicks can only be so much fun. Finally, he throws a punch back. And of course, it hits Inumaki square in the stumic, sending him flying back into the building.
Sukuna blinks in a bored manner at him. Yeah, this guy definitely wasn't familiar with him.
" You've got no idea where the little shit is, do you?"Â
Inumaki coughs, holding his stumic as he gets up. he's visibly sweating the situation. Sukuna shakes his head again, glancing at the mess of curses running around behind them.
" We've wasted enough time fighting. Just answer some questions of mine... please."Â
Sukuna hates the word please. Inumaki blinks at him, surprised, though his suspicious is confirmed. This must be the Sukuna from your universe indeed.
" Is Y/N here?"Â
Inumaki nods.Â
A new kind of feeling spreads through Sukuna's body. Hope, longing. He can't wait to see you again.
" Is she alright? Is she here?"Â
Inumaki shrugs his shoulders. Sukuna nods, turning to face the curses, who have slowly begun to bother citizens.
" Kay'.-"Â
He likes to pretend he doesn't care.
" You do you. I'll handle it here."
And just like that, he goes back to ripping through curses left and right. The display is disgusting, blood splattering everywhere. People around him seem to be uncertain whether to be terrified of him or not. However, he can't find it in himself to care.
As much as he hates it, you'll have to wait. He has to take care of these annoying, ugly creatures first.
-
Both your and Megumi's eyes simultaneously widen.
" Is that...?"
"A domain."Â
Both of you have arrived somewhere, you're not even sure where or why, but you're there, and that's that.Â
Allies of you are in there. without a doubt. But how does one even go in there? You've haven't reached the level or circumstance to create your own domain just yet, nor do you have the same raw strength Yuuji seems to have.
Both of you are sweating. Hard.
" Y/N. Hold onto my arm."Â
Megumi isn't looking at you as he speaks, his gaze focused on the ball in front of you as he approaches.
You send him a furrowed brow. However, noticing he's clapping his hands together, your eyes widen.
" You can do a domain expansion?"
He nods.
You follow his command, your hand holding his arm gently.
" yeah- since the mission under the bridge.- It's not perfect yet."
In any other situation, he might've reveled in the feeling of your hands on him. But you've got business to take care of.
Within seconds, Megumi's domain is up and running, and soon enough, he breaks through the barrier of the other domain.
" Maki!"Â
This domain is built up of the ocean. And even though it's made up of cursed energy that's not your own, you can still feel it.
It's is build on the power of the ocean. Of a place where you're at your most powerful.
Meanwhile Maki's eyes widen.Â
" Megumi!"Â
A little too enthusiast, the two of you had launched yourselves into the domain, sending you jumping quite a height that left you feeling a little bottomless. As someone who's natural element is water, you don't mind bottomless, usually. However, you find that you do mind the bottomless feeling when you're skyhigh, where you can see the floor coming towards you. From the corner of your eye, you can see something red and black manifest. A weapon. You understand the gist, and throw it in Maki's direction.
" Y/N. That octopus thing is the source of this domain."Â
You nod at Megumi.
" Don't worry, I've got your back. "Â
Meanwhile, the octopus thing turns towards the two of you.
" You dare voluntarily invade my domain? How foolish."Â
At once, he sends some kind of huge eels at you. You reach out, your own cursed energy managing to take his own in a chokehold. If it was only you right now, you'd test your limits, and see if you could take control of his domain. However, you're not alone. You have people to watch out for. So instead, you deploy your cursed technique in ways you're well aware of.
Creating the rings of water you're so fond of, you manipulate his cursed energy to your will. the cursed energy in the form of water cuts through both eels, and the two of you safely make it to the ground while Maki whacks her special grade cursed tool across the curse's back.
" What is that?"Â
" Cloud jumper."Â
You nod at Megumi's words. You've never seen that weapon before, but Maki makes good use of it, whacking him with it once again.
Meanwhile, he also sends two more creatures at you. You furrow your brows, stepping in front of Megumi protectively. Megumi opens his mouth to warn you, call you back. But he's left to watch in amazement as you manipulate the water below to cut into the first creature with ease. You turn your attention to the other one, but Nanami beats you to it, his 7:3 technique hitting yet again.
" What about the other two?"Â
Nanami asks, holding a protective stance in front of the two of you.
" Ino's tapped out. Itadori is acting on his own."Â
" I'll cover you, please focus on your domain."Â
You glance at him.
" Let me handle this. I can use the curse's cursed energy. "Â
Nanami's eyes are wide as he looks at you.
Nonetheless, you nod at him with confidence.
Nanami nods. You glance quickly at Megumi, noticing his bleeding nose. Your eyes widen in worry.
" Megumi-"Â
" I'm fine. Cover for me.- Nanami, the octopus thinks our domains are pushing for control. But that's not what I'm after. I'm going to create a hole. The one we entered through is already sealed. It's harder from the inside, but I can make it large enough for someone to pass through for a few seconds. The edge of this barrier is right below me. I know because I can feel it. I'm ready anytime. All three of you need to jump in at once."
Nanami throws a serious glance back at the teenager.
" The two of you are not planning on staying behind, are you?"Â
" I think I have a chance in taking control of this domain. I'll get Megumi and me out of here."Â
Megumi grins.
" We're risking our lives. But we're not planning on throwing it away."Â
Soon enough, Nanami is yelling for the other two to join.Â
" Quick, right below Fushiguro's feet."Â
You focus on the curse in front of you, creating a huge circle of spinning water around you. If it were to get to close, it would cut right through it.
However, your focus falters as someone enters the domain.
Especially as you see who it is.
Fushiguro Toji.
[ A/N:Â Thank you for your quick reactions, besties <3, drabbles will join after Shibuya arc.]Â

The fight between you, Yuuji and the cursed spirit was running relatively smoothly. You're pleased to find out that this Yuuji is much like your Yuuji. Neither seem to care about how they're getting the job done, as long as they get the job done. He's athletic, you notice, jumping from spot to spot and launching punch after punch.
You don't need to do much. One of your water skins is uncapped as you use it. You're really just slashing this curse back Yuuji's way, trapping him there, keeping him there. However, you can't ignore that something really does feel off. It's definitely a curse, but it's body' fluid composition felt so... Human? It was unsettling.
As a Water Manipulator, you could feel fluid compositions. People are made up of at least 60% water. You can use them as your doll if you wish to do so, which is why you were feared among curse users in your own world. Cursed spirits are always made purely of cursed energy. And so far, you haven't come across a cursed spirit which power was based on water.Â
Eventually, things take an unexpected turn soon enough. Nobara is getting pulled out of the barrier, for some reason.Â
You're quick to follow, and soon enough the both of you are stood against the curse.Â
Which was an odd thing. It seems to pretend to be a gentleman, spouting about how he'll let the two of you go considering your gender, leaving you both confused.Â
And then it hops back. It looks ridiculous. Things get even more odd when Yuuji and the other curse jump in. Apparently the weird curse in front of you has something disgusting on its back.Â
Things escalate. Nobara comments on the rotting smell that comes from him, and he grows angry, activating it's cursed technique. Soon enough, he's launching blood your way.Â
You move out of the way- just in case, but you're pleased (yet also incredibly unsettled) to find out that it really is blood, even if it is poisonous.Â
The curse angers visibly.Â
" You should run, with your back to me! "
Nobara and Yuuji have no other choice, so they do. You keep your eyes on him, gathering the blood he's launching your way as you prepare to counter attack.Â
" How about I rip your blood sculpted wings off instead? "
It doesn't like your words. Not at all. In fact, it launches so many attacks that even you have to pull back, throwing messy counter attacks as you jump backwards. It's laughing, while it manages to draw you back. It's incredibly quick, which makes it so hard to keep up.Â
Nonetheless, you don't give up.Â
Eventually, you manage to turn the tide. Suddenly, he's at your mercy, as you continue to summon his attack and make it your own. Unlike Blood Manipulation, you can't change the condense of blood, so you'll have to rely of the speed of it. You charge up the circle of it's blood that was already starting to pick up pace around you, and send it at him in one go. Like always, it creates a sword like effect, slashing through everything. The curse's eyes widen, and it has no choice but to jump back, all the way.Â
Your attack had a bigger hit than expected, as a few trees fall to the side- you jump to avoid them. Oops. Regret fills your senses as you realize that the curse is dashing off on you.Â
" Hey!- "
You're glaring. How dare he run off on you? You chase after it, however, it's much quicker than you. Your eyes widen as you catch up, your friends now both injured.Â
" There's no need to worry. My younger brother's blood doesn't have the same quality as mine. And even mine won't kill you unless you would be drowned in it. Though it will hurt like hell. This is where our technique starts-"
He raises his pinky, and immediately black, tattoo like flowers run over your friends' wounds. Your eyes widen as concern overtakes your features. Shit- you're a healer first. You have to save them. For a moment, you panic in silence, not sure what to do, or what to say. Obviously, this isn't the time and moment to heal them.Â
Meanwhile, the curse is breaking down how his technique works. The consequences are pretty clear, once either him (should we even refer to it as him?) Or his brother activate the technique, they only have about 15 minutes to live.Â
Your eyes harden as you realize what you three have to do. Healing comes later. You've never come across a technique which effect was like poison. You don't know if you'd be able to stop his technique while it's working. It's better to have them release their technique altogether and heal them properly after that.Â
Yuuji and Nobara seem to think the same thing.Â
" Would you like me to end you right away? "
The curse was too bold with it's actions.Â
" A technique that grants victory once it hits... That makes you strong. Too bad for you though, that makes me the worst match for you! "
Nobara is bolder. She's confident, yet somehow not arrogant. You watch in amazement as she plunges one of her nails in her arm, activating her straw doll technique.Â
In response, both of their body's blood flow changes into one of stress. You stop all together. What are those things? They can't be curses. They simply can't be. Their body is made of blood. They're alive. You wouldn't be able to exorcise them, because it would be killing.
You're distressed now, unable to move. Can you even kill? You've never deemed yourself a good person, nor a bad person. You're not the type to forgive easy, or at all in most cases. You hold grudges a lot. You're not a bad person either. You're not fond of bullying, or picking on people. You're just,, you. You're not a killer though. Something was going on in this universe which was not natural, even for Jujutsu. Spirits that have taken bodies... These bodies could've been living an actual life before they were taken... You can't do this. You can't kill them.Â
Meanwhile, the actual fight takes place. Yuuji is the first to throw a punch. First at the blue curse, before he switches with Nobara.Â
You finally seem to snap out of it when-
" You bitch! "
Like we've mentioned before, you're not a good person.
" Who the fuck do you think you are to call my best friend a bitch?! "
You're launching yourself at the curse as well, joining your friends yet again. It's blue brother whines out desperately, but you force yourself to ignore it.Â
His brother seems to release their cursed technique, and Yuuji now gets into physical combat with him, throwing punch after punch after punch. The curse is quick to react, enabling his stupid technique, Wing King once again, launching strikes of blood Yuuji's way. You're quick to intervene, summoning it's blood your way as you create the circle you're so fond of, charging up for your counter attack. Yuuji doesn't rest either, following your opening as both him and Nobara simultaneously manage to land a black flash on both of them.Â
Your eyes widen in amazement. So far, you've never managed to do so before. The blue spirit barely survives, and your expression saddens as Nobara activates her hair pin technique, ultimately resulting in killing the curse.Â
" Kechizu.. "Â
It's the other curse. You feel guilty. He did refer to him as brother, after all.Â
" I'm sorry brother, I couldn't protect him... "
Nobara's eyes widen, staring at the curse.Â
She must've not known either. You realize.Â
Out of nowhere, a truck suddenly comes from the tunnel. Everyone jumps out of the way in time. You lose focus, the curse's blood falling to the floor below you, it's poisonous effect evident as it burns into the ground.Â
The curse is quicker to react, jumping on the back of the truck and keeping one of the two people in it hostage. Nonetheless, Yuuji chases after it. With result too, as Nobara releases her straw doll technique on it's brother, dead on injuring the curse, who falls right into Yuuji's clutches.Â
Yuuji kills him.Â
He doesn't look happy to do so.Â
Afterwards, the three of you are heading back, towards Megumi. You're lost in thought about the events that just occurred, having forgotten about their injuries in favor of mental injuries you have no doubt created for others.Â
Those two curses called each other brothers. It made you wonder if there was another one perhaps, maybe a whole family. Yuuji's voice cuts through your train of thought, reminding you where you are.Â
" Kugisaki, are you okay? "Â
" Oh, yeah. Though this might leave a scar. I wonder if those guys are okay, considering their truck just went speeding off. About the poison, I wonder if Shoko will be up this late. And if she will be sober- What are you fidgety for? It's creepy. "
She's asking Yuuji the question. Meanwhile you press a gentle hand to her uninjured arm.Â
" I can fix that, actually. If that's okay. "Â
Nobara nods, and you get to work. You first manipulate the poison out, managing to tell it apart from her own blood with surprising ease. After that, you uncap one of your water skins, manipulating the water around your hand as you press the cold substance to her arm's injury. First, she cringes at the cold, but then she grows more comfortable as a comforting feeling settles in her skin. The water you're using to heal glows, and her arm feels all warm and comfortable.Â
Meanwhile, the two had continued talking.Â
" Wasn't this the first time you killed something instead of exorcising it? "Â
Your eyes widen, your focus momentarily quivering. He's done this before? Does he know what they are?
" Yeah, what about you? "
" I have, once... No that's not correct. It was three people. "
" You seem to be doing way worse than me. To put it blunt, I don't care. As a sorcerer, you tend to run into these things. I'm no Fushiguro, but ultimately, there's only so many people we can save. "Â
Her words are cold, but real. Meanwhile you finish up your work, her skin smooth and healed once again, like it never happened. She continues to explain why she feels like that, and you somewhat do understand. You wouldn't have won if all of you had refused to kill it like you did, especially with a technique that strong.Â
" Woah, your healing is indeed impressive, Y/N.- How do you feel about killing? "
Her blunt words make you cringe as you continue to walk.Â
" Uncomfortable, to be honest. I'm not sure if I can kill one if the situation would ever demand it of me to be honest. They were crying for one another. I never had to fight something that understood emotions before. "Â
Yuuji nods in agreement.Â
" I feel the same. I'm happy we survived, but still, tears were shed over the lives we ended tonight. "
For a moment, a silence settles over the three of you.Â
" Then I guess that makes us accomplices. "
Nobara points out, causing you to cringe yet again, the weight of the word uncomfortable.Â
Thankfully, a moment later, the three of you come across Fushiguro... Who is passed out, beside the river.Â
" Fushiguro! "
" Megumi! "
All three of you call out in worry. You drop down to your knees beside him as he stirs, uncapping your water skin yet again in preparation, eyes scanning over him for injuries.Â
Megumi grumbles as he opens his eyes.Â
" Oh, you guys are back. Glad you're all safe. "
" W-We were so scared, we thought you were dead! Thank goodness! "Â
Both Yuuji and Nobara are in the back, holding hands as they express their fears to their dear friend.Â
Meanwhile, you focus on his health.Â
" Are you okay? Or injured? "
" Could you two at least keep it down? I'm okay, Y/N, but my head hurts. "
You pout at his stubbornness.Â
" Where? "Â
You're already summoning water around both of your hands, ready to help.Â
Megumi opens his mouth to say something, probably to tell you off with nonsense, when you notice the big red stain on the back of his head. You purse your lips, scolding him softly. He leans into your touch, a new comforting feeling spreading through his skull.Â
" No wonder your head hurt. "Â
" Don't go to sleep with a Sukuna's finger in your hand. That's dangerous. "
Nobara's words draw your attention. You glance at Megumi's hands, noticing that he is indeed holding a disgusting looking long nailed red finger-
" That's a-? You swallow that thing whole? Like nail and all? "
" Pretty much. Should I eat it? "
" It's not like left overs, you know? "
" We're not sure how many fingers you can handle. So don't eat it. You look the least worn down though, so take it. I'll tell you again though, don't eat it. "
Yuuji huffs, probably annoyed by Megumi's way of addressing him currently, as he approaching. However, surprise takes over your features as a mouth appears on Yuuji's hand and fucking swallows it. Ew.Â
You watch in disgust which turns into amazement as you notice familiar marks appearing on his skin for a moment. Your heart skips a beat at the reminder of your best friend, who is so far away.
Silently, you wonder how he's doing.Â

[ Parallel Jujutsu Kaisen Universe ]
" You should really stop staring at your bracelet like that, it's getting a bit depressing to watch. "
" You wear a blindfold, do you even see anything? "
Gojo hums, sitting down on the floor beside his student, on the stairway leading up towards the mountains. He knows this spot all too well. Y/N and Sukuna would sit here often. Something about liking the view. Gojo doesn't really get it. It's just trees and buildings. He doubts Sukuna gets it either.
" I have the six eyes, remember? "
All he gets in response is an annoyed sigh from the teenager. Sukuna didn't get along well with people older than him. He lacked respect, in multiple ways. His parents were more fond of his twin, simply because he was more outgoing, naturally nicer. People didn't typically get along with the boy at all. Something about him being too intimidating, too rude, too disrespectful. The tattoos on his face were a stark reminder that he doesn't really care. Somehow, he did manage to be close friends with you though. Gojo will never understand how. The two of you were pretty much complete opposites, yet you balanced each other out just fine.
The six eyes never told him, but he didn't need any ability to see the bond he shared with you. It was unique, deep. It reminded him painfully of him and Suguru. Sukuna doesn't view you like the sacred healer you are. He sees you just as you, just like how Suguru used to view Satoru as himself.Â
Gojo sighs softly, his easy going smile leaving his face, making room for more serious conversation.Â
" I know losing your best friend is hard. But you have to-"
" She's not dead. "
Gojo sighs, having expected that response. He wouldn't believe anyone who told him his best friend would be dead when she had literally disappeared out of nowhere.Â
" Sukuna-"
" She's not. I'm 100% sure. Something isn't adding up. "
" She could have fallen in the river, -"
" No, look. "
Gojo glances at his student's phone, noting the messages.Â
MineÂ
Where are u?Â
This isn't funny
I made gyoza without you while using your secret recipe
Gojo can't help but grin, noting the oddness of the messages.Â
" Even when gone you can't be nice? "
" That's not what I'm talking about. "
[ The number you're trying to reach is not in use ]
Gojo's brows furrow behind his blindfold. That indeed is very odd.Â
" Besides, did you just hear yourself? Y/N losing when around a river? "
" You never know, if she was knocked out she could've been drowning-"
" She's not dead. "
Gojo's eyes glance at Sukuna's bracelets below his blindfold, the water in it limp, ordinary. He didn't understand exactly how it worked, but somehow it always drew Sukuna to you whenever he needed to find you, no matter where you were. It would flow, like a river leading him towards the sea. The only reason for it to stop working would be if you were dead, or really that far away, but where would you be.Â
Sukuna sighs, getting up as he glares at his sensei. He looks like he's about to say something, but then he scoffs, turning away, walking off.Â
Gojo figures that Sukuna is really just unaccepting of your death. If the boy had cursed energy, he'd tell him to get a hold of his emotions before he'd accidentally place a curse on you, though he doesn't have any, so you should be fine.Â
However, even Gojo has to admit that his most irrational student has a point. Perhaps he should look deeper into it indeed.Â

Your eyes widen.Â
Fushiguro Toji.
It happens in slowmotion.
This is the first time you've ever truly seen him. You've heard stories. Stories of your mother who grew up with him. She described him as strong on a different level. You've heard stories from Gojo. Unbelievably strong. A true fear to be reckoned with. You've heard Yuki speak of him. Free from cursed energy. Much like the one other person you're fond of.
You've never seen him before. Yet you just know it's him. It's a feeling you've never had before, but there's no possibility for it to be anyone else. No one else would jump in like he just did. (Except perhaps your Sukuna, but this ain't about him.)Â
He's fast, disappearing mid-air, only to be stood right beside Maki, tugging at Cloud Jumper. He wins, tugging the weapon from Maki's hands. He walks past casually, like he's simply here to finish some simple job. From the corner of your eye, you notice Zen'In's old man tense, recognition flashing through his eyes.
You're left confused. You knew that the Geto Suguru of this universe went down the same road as your universe's Geto Suguru. You had read it right off Gojo's face back when he asked who you were. Geto had ended up that way thanks to his battle with Toji, among other reasons.Â
Had that not happened here? Wasn't Toji supposed to be dead? You did notice something odd though. Black eyes. You have no idea why or where or how.
Nonetheless, you watch in amazement with the rest as Toji approaches the curse casually, no sign of fear.
The curse has no idea who he is, writing him off as unimportant and sending a really long ugly eel from his stomach.
The display is a little disgusting, but whatever.
Toji was not scared, or impressed. You don't catch his smirk as he beats through the curse's attack. It creates an opening for him, and he's quick to close in on the distance between them, whacking Cloud Jumper across its face. He's watching the curse fly from his attack with a crazed smile. He follows soon after, running over the water as he mercilessly attacks the curse again and again, sending him flying in every direction. The curse doesn't stand a chance.
If your universe's Toji was anything like this one, then you understand how Gojo lost from him. The man is visibly crazy, his attacks merciless, skilled, and fast.
Eventually, the curse finally regains his footing, and he sends a hoard of piranha curses at Toji, aimed in a straight line. Of course, Toji doesn't falter, whacking through every last one of them with ease, closing in on him once again. The curse is smart, and pulls him under as he aims at his stumic once more. The two disappear from sight, only to reappear later. First, the curse. Then, Toji, who's wrapped up like a cocoon in eels, it seems. It only takes Toji a moment to break free from the eels. Two giant isopods break the surface a moment after he breaks free, but he beats one down with a single blow, the other one falling soon after.Â
Their fall creates a big wave on both sides. One heading straight towards your group, the other sending Toji and the curse back to the island.Â
You react quickly, taking control of the wave and allowing it to flow back gently. When the wave dissipates, all of you are able to see the curse receiving a life threatening beating once again.
And now, he's drawing blood, seriously injuring the curse.
" Old man. Who is that?"Â
It's Maki who's asking the question.
" A ghost."Â
" Fushiguro, can you hold out a little longer?"Â
You glance back at Megumi, noting his state. Fuck, you forgot that he's still deploying his domain. It must be taking a shit amount of effort to keep that going.
You take a few steps to stand beside him, gathering the water of the curse's domain to form a stream, pressing your hand to the skin on the back of his neck. You can't fully heal him while he's using his cursed technique, especially while he's using his domain, but at least this way his physical state won't get worse. Megumi takes a deep breath before answering.
" Yes."Â
A horrific sound brings your attention back to Toji. Metal scraping against metal. He's sharpening Cloud Jumper. Soon enough, both ends of the once dull weapon are sharp enough to pierce skin with minimal effort.
The curse seems to realize it too, and jumps up. You're not the only one who notices. Naobito is up in the air soon enough, pushing it back to Toji. Toji is soon to stab it with Playful Cloud. And then he's ripping the three parts loose, back to mercilessly beating the curse.
Then you're all back in the metro station. Your eyes widen.Â
He really just beat the special grade curse by himself.
" Megumi!"Â
He's dropped to his knees, choking up a bit of blood.
" I'm fine. Heal me later-"Â
he's breathing heavily. You're worried, but you nod.
Everyone's focus shifts to Toji.
Who's side is he on?
Toji is walking slowly, however, before anyone of you can speak, a window breaks.
He's forced Megumi outside.
Your eyes are wide, and Maki and you both call out for him at the same time.
" Megumi!"Â
You've jumped out of the window before you've finished saying his name. Toji is a few steps in front of you. You can see his eyes wide from the few meters you're stood away from him.
A moment later, a fire breaks out behind you.Â
Your eyes widen, glancing between Megumi and your other allies.
" Go! I- I'll handle this!"Â
Megumi looks uncertain. You're uncertain too. Another eruption of flames.
" Just- stay safe! If you die- Nobara, Yuuji and I will kill you!"Â
You send him a worried glance, and then you're uncapping your water bottles, sending yourself back up, just as a third eruption of flames happens.
And then you feel something. Or hear something. You're not sure. It's like a heartbeat. But it's ominous, like a warning.
You arrive back in the metro station just to see a flash of the cursed spirit as it leaves, dashing away.
You wonder if it heard the heartbeat too.
However, you have no time to think about it. The scene in front of you ir horrific. Zen'In's old man is completely burned. Nanami seems to be half burned, probably having managed to protect himself at the very last second, half of his body gruesomely burned while the other half seems fine.
Your eyes widen as he gets up, eyes dully scanning the scene, lingering on Maki, who seems in an even worse state, as she didn't have the cursed energy to protect herself.
" Nanami!"Â
" Heal Maki first."Â
You stop, pausing as you look at him.Â
" Nanami-"Â
" She needs your help more than I do. You're strong, Y/N. I don't know what your universe is like, but I hope things are not going along the same lines as here. heal Maki, Y/N. And when this is over, we will speak again."Â
He gives you a short, small smile, and then he's walking away. Blade in hand, half of his body in completely burned. You stare after him for a moment, before turning to Maki. She stirs. at least she's alive.
You rush over to her, uncapping one of your water skins. You immediately manipulate the water onto your hands, deciding to try something new as you manipulate the water to cover every inch of her body in a thin sheen, hoping it will help heal her sooner. Soon enough, your own hands press down on her gently, your reverse cursed technique doing it's job.
" Y/N..."Â
"Maki! I'm so glad you're alive."Â
You release a tense sigh.
Slowly but surely, Maki's body heals, though scars do remain.
" I'm sorry, I can't avoid the scars."
" It's okay. Thank you for healing me."Â
You nod at her, getting up. Admittedly, it took a lot of water and effort to heal her. You're more skilled in reverse cursed energy than regular cursed energy, but even you can't deny that healing a whole body is demanding of you.
She joins you, her eyes studying her new scars.
And then you feel it again. That ominous presence. It's heavy, demanding, and unmistakingly evil. It's faint, so thankfully it's far away. But it's still there.
" Y/N?, What is it?"Â
" A cursed presence, I think."Â
Maki's eyes widen, following your line of sight. What could that be?Â
" Do you think it could be Sukuna's?"Â
You send her a questioning look.
" Sukuna doesn't have any cursed energ- Oh, this universe's Sukuna."Â
It takes you a moment to realize.
Maki nods.
" Do you know what our universe Sukuna's like?"
" yeah, he's the king of curses right? His technique was slicing I've been told. And for some reason he's in Yuuji's body?- That part always got me a bit confused."Â
You move towards Naobito, intending to heal him, but Maki puts a hand on your shoulder.
" Don't heal him. He's not worth the effort, and you'll need the remaining resources of water you have."Â
You give her an uncertain glance, glancing down at the man who's laid out on the floor like a fry. Usually, you'd heal as many people as you could, but you happen to have heard already how horrible he is.
" He's treated you like shit your whole life, right?"Â
You don't turn to her as you ask the question. Maki raises a brow in surprise.
" Yes, why? "Â
You sigh, nodding as you turn to face her.
" In my universe, we're friends. I consider you my friend here too. I don't heal people who harm my friends."Â
You're smiling at her, and Maki smiles back at you.
" That's sweet. I think it's best if you go and find Yuuji. If Sukuna has truly manifested for whatever reason, we're in trouble. I'll go help out Megumi."Â
You nod at her.
" Okay. Stay safe."Â
The both of you turn the opposite direction after that. Maki jumps out of the broken window, while you walk deeper into the metro station. The first scene that greets you makes you gasp.Â
Two unfamiliar girls. One completely headless, her head body in a bowing position, and the other girl's body splayed across the ground, part of her head severed. You have no idea who these two are, but you still feel sorry for them. You have no idea who or what killed them. Glancing around, you notice a huge poster. Whatever fought here must have shattered the glass that held it, the material now loose.
Originally, you'd like for them both to lay side by side, under the poster you just found as a sign of respect. However, you're too afraid to touch them. A stupid unsettling feeling you have around dead bodies. Instead, you rip the poster in two, laying one part on each of them, wishing them to rest in peace.
You continue on your way, searching the halls for Yuuji.
Most of the metro station is empty, save for the rubble that's laying around.
Eventually, finally, you come across someone.
He reeks of cursed energy, making you wonder if he's really old or just special.
You cock your head, uncapping your leftover water skin.
" Hi."Â
He stills, now turning to look at you. His hands are holding his head, sweat covering his features. He's definitely distressed. Silently, you wonder about what.Â
His features are unique. He has dark eyes, surrounded by deep purple circles, like he's never slept before. His hair is tied up in two small ponytails, and on his face is a mark you could've sworn you've seen somewhere before.
" Are you okay?"Â
-
" Come any closer and I'll kill you!"
Sukuna grumbles in annoyance, turning around.
The sight is ominous, horrific. He's covered in blood. However, he has 2 eyes, is seemingly a bit taller and buffer than the Yuuji she knows.
" I'm done with useless fights. Two other sorcerers have already tried to kill me, and surprise, surprise, they failed."Â
Nobara's eyes narrow.
" Did you kill them?"Â
His voice is the same. It's slightly creepy. He sounds bothered, or perhaps annoyed.Â
" No. I'm not a murderer."Â
Nobara lowers her weapon, fixing him with a look.
" You're from Y/N's universe."Â
Sukuna's eyes widen. Finally, he calms down.
" Universe? You mean that this is a different one? "
Was that what Inumaki senpai was trying to tell him?
Nobara nods.
" Boy, do you have a lot to catch up on. But first, how did you come here?"Â
