You've heard enough to know that Tsukumo Yuki dislikes the Jujutsu world. Meaning that it's already big news that she's shown up in the first place, but it also means she most probably had a plan. You don't blame her. Jujutsu society is messed up.

" The next stage of humanity lies in breaking away from cursed energy." 

" No. It lies in optimizing cursed energy." 

Yuki and whoever is hiding away in Geto's body appear to not agree on the matter.

She turns, shrugging at Yuuji, who raises a hand.

" Uh. I don't understand either of those." 

" I thought you gave up on that plan 12 years ago after Zen'In Toji died." 

" That's what I told Geto, yes." 

You blink, your eyes turning to your best friend in question. She believed people with promising talent like him and Toji were the solution for a curse free world? Interesting.

For now, you'll have to stay focused in finding the technique that will defrost the stranger's technique. 

Once again, you're lucky. Just like before with octopus man, you can for some reason use the stranger's technique to your advantage.

Admittedly, you've messed around with snow before, but you've never used it to defrost anything, to undo or create ice. But then again, there's a first time for everything, right? 

Both Geto and Yuki explain their ideals. Yuki doesn't see the use of optimizing cursed energy, considering Japan would be a monopoly in that. Other countries wouldn't just stand by and watch. It would create a war. Whoever is hiding in Geto doesn't seem to care. He just wants cursed energy to take over in it's best form. Doesn't matter if it's through people or cursed objects. According to him, his ideal is a spec in the darkness. According to him, he should've let 'chaos consume around him beyond his control'. He had been limited, but now he had extracted the technique to do so.

At once, Yuki turns to Yuuji.

" There was a curse named Mahito, right?! The one whose technique could manipulate souls!" 

" That guy just absorbed him." 

Yuuji sounds awfully nonchalant while Yuki is obviously distressed. Her eyes widen at his words.

" Seriously?!" 

Geto leans down, pressing his palm to the ground. At once, a symbol shows on the ground, also appearing in the sky. It looks eerie.

" Tengen's barrier? No, this is..." 

" You have my thanks Yuuji. Curses cease to improve once they've been absorbed by curse manipulation. Your fight with Mahito is what really matured him." 

" What did you do?" 

Yuki is rightfully not in the mood for Geto's round of approval.

" I remotely activated Idle Transfiguration on two types on non-sorcerers that I had marked ahead of time."

As Geto continues to explain, you finally get the gist of unfreezing the icy technique, summoning the cursed energy in the form of water all around you. As well as that, their cursed energy weakens. Probably because of the wound they healed when Choso's Piercing Blood cut through their palm like that.

The stranger's eyes widen as you manage to free yourself, freeing Sukuna soon after and the rest as well.

" What's the matter Uraume?" 

Geto looks over at Uraume, who is looking utterly scandalized as they watch you.

" L/N Y/N. " 

You raise a brow. L/N? Now who is that?

" Sorry, I'm not game for talking right now." 

With that, you sweep Uraume off their feet with a strong gust of water, using their own cursed energy against them. Sukuna laughs, the sound loud, causing several of your allies to turn to you in question.

" Hah! Finally." 

You raise a brow at your best friend, he sends you a side eye back.

" What? You took long. I knew you could do it." 

However, the fun ends after that. Due to Uraume's weakened form, their cursed energy disappears into thin air. 

Unbothered, Geto continues speaking, explaining how he's been working on this for over thousands of years. He calls today 'the world of the future'. You don't need to wonder on it for long.

Within a moment, he has reached through Geto's curses, and summoned a lot of them at once.

You gather the rain which had fallen around you, crating the water circle in a steady flow around you.

Sukuna takes a step back, shifting closer to you.

His body language a clear message. 'Stay close to me.' 

Admittedly, you weren't planning to leave.

Everyone is surrounded by curses at once. You glance around you in concern, noticing just in time to see Geto holding out the prison realm mockingly to Yuuji, adding that he's expecting great things from the boy.

Unbeknownst to you just yet, a notice from Jujutsu Headquarters is released.

1. Geto Suguru is confirmed to be alive, and has been sentenced to death once again.

2. The suspension of Itadori Yuuji 's death sentence is revoked and the execution is to be carried out immediately.

3. Yaga Masamichi shall receive the death penalty for inciting Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru and causing the Shibuya incident.

4. Gojo Satoru has been deemed an accomplice in the Shibuya incident and is thus permanently exiled from the Jujutsu world. Furthermore, removing his seal will be considered a criminal act.

5. Special Grade sorcerer Okkotsu Yuta is appointed Itadori Yuuji's executioner.

Some time passed. Not much. Maybe five minutes. The cursed spirits were a distraction.

" I'm sorry for not acting sooner. I wasn't sure on what to do...."

Geto escaped. His cursed spirits are all over Tokyo. Satoru Gojo is gone. Nanami and Nobara are dead. 

If anything, you all lost. And horribly so.

On top of that, you have no idea where Megumi is currently.

You shouldn't have left him in that street in Shibuya. You hope Toge found him.

You suppose it's not Yuki's fault. If anything, you blame the higher ups.

" ...The situation had reached a point where I thought I should just keep an eye on things. At least temporarily... Have you realized I'm not necessarily on your side? I'm just a humble beauty who wants to eradicate cursed spirits from the world. By way of apology, my comrades and I will take responsibility for delivering those kids who were there. It's about time I confront Tengen. 

What will you do?"

You don't know. Originally, you just wanted to go home. On top of that, you haven't felt as homesick as you do right now. 

However, you can't. You know so. You have to help. They've taken you in after all, cared for you like you had always been one of their students. You owe it to Gojo sensei at least. You have to help get him his freedom. Going home comes later.

Sukuna glances at you. He knows you better than most people. He understands what's going through your head, how you work. He still has to catch up to what's been going on here. On who Ryomen Sukuna is. On Yuuji's story. On your own. However, he can't find it in himself to care. He figures he'll figure it out. You could be one of the curse users in this universe, and he'd still follow you. All the people he cares about are in your universe anyway.

Silently, his hand reaches out to hold your own. You glance up, but his expression is the same as always. No emotion shown on his face. You know he's reassuring you though. He'll stick by you, no matter what.

You give him a small smile, before looking at Yuuji.

" Yuuji, we'll follow you. " 

Sukuna lets go of your hands, crossing his arms over one another as he looks at the boy he recognizes as his twin brother.

" No."

You blink in surprise. Sukuna raises a brow.

" The fuck you mean no?"

Yuuji shakes his head, eyes flitting over the visible injuries on you.

" I've already nearly killed Y/N. I don't want that to happen again. You two should continue to figure out how to go home. If you help, your chances of dying only increases."

" Yuuji, no, that literally wasn't you. Ryomen Sukuna tried to kill me. Not you.-"

" Don't be so angsty. It's stupid, and pathetic. We're not weak. And we're here anyway so we might as well help. Besides, I trust our classmates to manage bringing us home."

Yuuji sighs.

He should've expected this. You never seemed to listen anyway, and why would your best friend be any different?

" Y/N-"

" No. None of that."

You're glaring at him.

Yuuji sighs.

 Of course, you and Sukuna end up joining him.

Parallel Jujutsu Kaisen Universe

Gojo Satoru's eyes widen beneath his blindfold, taking the weapon his student is holding.

" He lost it?"

" Don't think so. Rather the portal seemed to reject it. It was weird, considering it was clicked onto the Chain when he fell in. "

Fushiguro Megumi is a bit bloodied up, but still standing and ready to go yet again. Gojo is proud of his students. They've all grown quickly, jumping opportunities and often being able to take on things much bigger than them. It was rare for them to ask for help, especially for Megumi and Sukuna.His beloved angsty teenager students who would much rather get sucked into a portal towards some other place than ask their beloved sensei for help.

Gojo can't help but smile, causing Megumi to grimace.

" What're you smiling about?"

" Can't believe my dear students have finally decided to come ask for my help." 

Megumi sighs.

" Don't ever tell Sukuna I did...."

Megumi trails off, eyes on the table between them.

" I just want my friends back. Even if they're annoying."

Gojo smiles.

" Wouldn't dream of it. Go visit Shoko, leave it to your sensei."

Megumi shakes his head, wiping the blood of his forehead.

" I'm fine. Let's get Nobara and Yuuji." 

He prefers your touch to Shoko's anyway. Not that he'll ever tell you though.

Chapter 17: Death Sentence

Manga Spoilers: Chapter 138-142

You sigh, worry overtaking your expression as you notice Yuuji sitting there on the staircase. However, you don't approach him.

" Do you think I was too rude? By pushing him to allow us to tag along?" 

From beside you, Sukuna glances at you in annoyance.

" The brat should be grateful you're even willing to stick around him after that shit he pulled in the first place."

You sigh.

" That wasn't him, Sukuna. That was you."

He glances at you again, his brows pulled together in mild confusion.

By now, he understands that the other Sukuna is completely different. A 'King of Curses' apparently,  but that doesn't mean that he actually understands. 

" Nuh uh. I don't have cursed energy." 

You glance at him in mild annoyance.

" Not you, no. But other you-"

" Like Coraline?-"

" Yes, Ryomen Sukuna, not Itadori Sukuna." 

" Still that ain't me.-"

You huff, groaning in annoyance, and finally, your best friend drops the attitude.

" Fine, fine. I get it. Yuuji and Ryomen work different. Still. I nearly lost you. I don't accept that shit. If Yuuji lets Ryomen out again, I will be forced to make a choice I don't actually want to make." 

You nod at him, sighing as you lean your head against his shoulder. Like always, he doesn't mind. Not necessarily reinforcing your affection, but not pushing you away either. Secretly enjoying having you close like this.

Truth to be told, he knows who he would pick. Originally, he had viewed this universe's Yuuji the same as the brother he grew up with, but he's not. He can see that Yuuji doesn't trust him. It's annoying. Especially how several people only look at him and see a monster.

Sukuna doesn't even realize it when he's lost in thought, blankly staring at you.

" What? Is there something on my face?"

He blinks, lazily, and flicks your forehead, not saying a thing.

Yuuji walks past the two of you before you can yell at your best friend.

" Let's go."

The plan is easy.

Yuuji and Choso form a team, and you and Sukuna form a team.

Currently, both Yuuji and Sukuna are on the bridge. They'll clap, and sprint each one way. Sukuna will run to you, Yuuji will lure the other curses hiding in the water towards Choso.

Easy as that.

Sukuna glances at this universe's version of his twin, noting he's been staring at him.

" What?" 

Yuuji blinks. Sukuna appears annoyed, his voice gruff as his brows furrow together in annoyance.

Yuuji shakes his head, not really knowing why he was staring at him for a second either. You trust him. Yuuji supposes he should too.

He takes a deep breath, raising his arms. At once, both boys clap.

For a moment, silence follows, and then the curses jump up out of the river. Both boys sprint in the opposite direction. 

" Aye Little Shit!" 

Your eyes widen as you notice the cursed spirits who seem to follow them. They're huge.

" Where'd you even find these?!" 

You can reach out to the water flowing in the river, and you do so, creating several sharp, high speed whirring circles of water, you use them to cut through the ugly curses, exorcising them one by one.

Sukuna raises a brow, nodding his head at your quick, clean work.

" That was neat. You've gotten better at your silly circles."

You nod.

" Yeah, well, this universe certainly has a way of forcing one to get better. You'll see." 

He hums.

" Let's head back to the other two."

Barely a few moments later, you join Choso and Yuuji.

" As impressive as ever, little brother. " 

" You're still calling me that?" 

You blink at Choso's words, and Yuuji's reaction, but decide not to comment on it.

" I'll keep calling you that, over and over. Try to recollect. After all, your father had stitches on his forehead too, correct?"

Yuuji doesn't get a chance to respond to that. Instead,-

" I don't see Megumi."

All four of you glance up, only to see Naoya Zen'In standing on a bridge over the road you're stood on.

Ew. 

Naturally, you hate Naoya. You've totally met him a handful of times due to clan formalities, and you've disliked coming across him in each of them.

" Am I the first one here?"

You blink. Why does he want Megumi?

" Is that possible? Is he that slow?"

Finally, he looks down on the four of you, although his eyes seem to be focused on Choso and Yuuji.

" What are you two doing? You totally stand out. Don't you want to run?"

Yuuji furrows his brow.

" Run?"

" Haven't you heard? Now that Satoru's support is gone, your death sentence is back on." 

From a few paces beside you, you can see Choso furrow his brows in anger. 

He most probably didn't know about it.

But then again, neither do you or Sukuna.

" Death sentence?"

Naoya's eyes turn to you, only now noticing you.

" Aah, a woman? How interesting. Didn't see you there."

You hate the smirk on his face as he looks at you. 

" Good for you. What death sentence?" 

" Ah- the day I swallowed the first Sukuna finger, the elders originally sentenced me to secret execution." 

You gape at Yuuji, as Sukuna makes an ugly expression.

" You're so soft you're allowing them to sentence you to death? They're old. Let's just find them and beat them up. It should shut them up."

You blink over your shoulder at Sukuna.

Originally, usually, you would be against this. Now however? You're totally game for this.

" I'm game for that-"

" Ryomen Sukuna? No, you're someone else."

Naoya Zen'In appears to be smarter than you had originally expected.

That sucks.

" Interesting.... Well, my business is with Megumi. I honestly don't care if any of you live or die. But I can't have you scampering around.. so I'll start by breaking your legs."

Yuuji doesn't appear to be concerned with the threat aimed obviously at him, Naoya's smirk evident as he looks at the younger kid.

" What do you want with Fushiguro?"

" I think I'll have him die. But it'd help if he wrote a little something for me first." 

Yuuji's eyes sharpen, and in a second, Naoya is in between Yuuji and Choso.

Your eyes widen, as does everyone else's.

" I heard Megumi is looking for you." 

It's all Naoya says before throwing a harsh punch at Yuuji, too quick for him to dodge. Choso is quick to try landing a punch back, but Naoya is quicker, blocking him with what appears to be ease. Finally, both Yuuji and Choso both aim to punch him, and suddenly, he's gone. Now stood on the other side of the road.

Your eyes widen. You've never actually had to fight Naoya before. Not to mention that the Naoya from your universe wouldn't fight you because you're a woman.

" I didn't know he was that quick."

Sukuna nods, readying his stance for a fight.

" Me neither. "

In response, Naoya's eyes sharpen as well.

" Shall I try... upping my speed?"

His edginess is abruptly cut off when an overbearing amount of cursed energy suddenly joins the scene.

Everyone's eyes widen, turning in the direction of the source. (Except for Sukuna, who is just really confused. He can't feel cursed energy nor see it the way you can after all.)

" Hm? You're not alone." 

Yuta Okkotsu has joined the scene.

Sukuna steps closer to you. 

" Just to be sure, he's on our side, right?" 

You shrug.

" In all honesty- I have no idea." 

" Who are you?"

Yuuji doesn't know him. That is most probably bad news.

Yuta's eyes flit over Choso, before also flitting over to you and Sukuna. In confusion, his eyes switch between Sukuna and Yuuji, the question obvious.

Aren't they supposed to be one person?

" So you're Yuuji's executioner?" 

Choso's question causes his gaze to slide away from you and your best friend.

Feeling ignored, Naoya raises his hands in the air.

" I'm on your side. You're Okkotsu, right?"

You can see the realization dawn in Yuuji's eyes.

" Why does Yuuji have an executioner?" 

Sukuna keeps his voice soft, not wanting to draw attention to himself.

" Because of other you, I think. I'm not all too sure."

He nods.

Naoya and Yuta seem to be catching up, with Naoya admitting himself to Yuta's side. 

Which leaves the worst conclusion. In this universe, Yuta is not on your side.

" You gotta run, Yuuji." 

Yuuji turns to Choso.

" Will you be alright?" 

" Yeah, I will. Sukuna'll stay with me. Y/N should go with you for cover. You're the one they want. Focus on getting away from the one with black hair, Okkotsu. My guess is that if you fight him, you die." 

Yuuji glances at you shortly. You nod, glancing back at him. Sukuna sighs, scoffing as he looks at Naoya.

" Whatever. Let's just get this over with." 

It's like his words put in a chain reaction.

Choso is technically the first to move, trying to use Piercing Blood to stop Yuta in time. Technically, Naoya moves before that, because he blocks Choso's attack. Yuuji is off sprinting, and honestly, you're left gaping. You forget that that guy can take off like a rocket. Sukuna bypasses you, calling out a short 'change of plans' as he tails after Yuuji. Which leaves you with Naoya and Choso.

Naoya has kicked Choso in the stomach, quickly followed by you as you manipulate the water in your water skin, creating a long whip like line of water and harshly bringing it down on Naoya. He gets pushed back, stumbling, but grins as he gains footing the same second.

" I saw you earlier.-"

Naoya is looking at Choso as he speaks.

"That was blood manipulation right? I don't know why you have that, but other than Piercing Blood, it's not that scary. And in order to use piercing blood, you need to converge.. which required time."

He's just thinking out loud, you realize.

" I don't need to say the rest for you to understand. This is checkmate. But you-"

Finally, his eyes turn to you.

You glare at him.

" You're a woman. You're worthless. But your technique... You might not be completely useless. How about this? Put away your silly abilities, leave that guy, and marry me. We'd have strong kids."

You barely manage to keep your eye from twitching.

Ew.

You manipulate the line of water into a circle around you, allowing it to spin on a high tempo, creating a weapon out of it again.

" How about you shut up for a second and let me beat your ass?" 

Naoya's smirk turns into a scowl.

Yuuji is quick. Yuta is quick too. But thanks to Sukuna's heavenly pact, he's quicker. The fight is a blur, but eventually Yuta pulls a move that beats Sukuna and his heavenly pact.

He's held back and left to watch as Yuta stabs the kid he recognizes as his twin right through the heart.

" Rika, hold onto that one for me just a little longer."

Obviously, Yuta means Sukuna with 'that one'. It annoys him. That, and why does Rika have to hold onto him?

Sukuna watches as Yuta crouches down, his touch lighting up.

" Reverse cursed energy?"

Yuta nods as he turns to him.

" Yeah. I'm on your side, but things are complicated now. I need you to trust me. And I need you to convince your girlfriend to trust me too." 

Sukuna's eyes narrow. In your universe, Yuta is someone he gets along with just fine. Not in a special way, but he'd call Yuta if he ever needed someone to back him in a fight. (Not that he'd ever need it- besides, you're always his first option.)

However, he knows too little to choose to take risks in this universe. And Yuta is someone he'd rather keep as a friend.

Naoya's technique is annoying. Back when you were younger, you remember him telling you proudly exactly how it worked, however, you only remember tiny details. Something about speed and picture frames.

The fight is fierce, and annoying. Naoya might be fighting alone, but he's still managing to beat Choso's ass while simultaneously keeping you at a distance. It's odd. Why wasn't he straight up fighting you? Perhaps he's exactly the same as the asshole from your universe.

Eventually, there's a moment between the fight again.

" Who are you?"

Choso's eyes narrow again.

" I'm the oldest of ten siblings." 

" That's no answer." 

And then Naoya is closing in on him again. This time, Choso manages to keep up, blocking him. Sadly for him, Naoya had expected that of him, and reacts quickly by avoiding Choso's hit and slamming him straight into a wall.

" You're such a pain in the ass. I thought it would be best to bring a weapon."

Your eyes sharpen as Naoya pulls out a knife. Choso's eyes focus.

" You're well prepared."

" Honestly, it isn't very cool for a sorcerer to walk around with a weapon. Would you mind not telling anyone? It's pathetic how my older brothers show them off."

Naoya's eyes turn to you.

" That question is meant for you too, sweetheart."

You charge at Naoya, however, to your embarrassment, he manages to not only catch your hit, but also flips your entire weight, sending you right to the other side of him.

You blink, before glancing over your shoulder. 

Naoya smirks at you.

" I don't need to know your name. You're just another woman. But I don't damage future toys."

You glare at him, moving to open your water skin. However, Naoya is quick, much quicker than you.

Within a second, your water skin is on the other side of the road. Your eyes widen for a split second, before you're pulling your fist into a punch, punching him hard, sending him a few steps back with the cursed energy imbued in it.

Naoya glares at you. Ah, now he's mad. Finally, now you'll fight him.

" Y/N."

You glance at Choso.

" Leave this to me." 

There's a question clear in your eyes, but you step back. Perhaps, you'll fight him some other time.

Naoya sneers at you, but before you can say a thing, Choso speaks.

" So you hate your brothers?"

You raise a brow at Choso's words.

" Yes that's right." 

You were already aware of it.

" But maybe it's because of them that you are who you are."

" Huh?"

They get into it a little deeper, but the fight continues soon enough. It's impressive (and worrisome), how much blood Choso loses as he continues, but then he pulls a move you've never heard of before. 

Blood convergence: Supernova.

Their fight appears to be wrapped up just like that.

You sprint over to the other side of the road , getting your water skin, and your blood runs cold when you turn back around.

Yuta walks in through a passageway, holding Yuuji by the scruff of his collar.

" Looks like you're hurt, Naoya."

Why are they on first name basis? And where is Sukuna?

Chapter 13: Right and Wrong, pt. 2

The metro stations are empty.

It doesn't take you long to find out, and instead you find your way above ground again, intending to join forces with Nobara, who must be lingering around somewhere without doubt.

" Inumaki!" 

Not too far from where you're stood just outside of the metro exit, is Inumaki stood, hunched over, holding his shoulder. Your eyes widen in horror as you realize that he's missing his arm.

Did that happen while you were fighting that curse user in the metro station earlier? 

Inumaki glances up at you, his eyes wide alert. His collar is left unzipped, showing his mouth, the marks of his cursed technique pinched together as he grits his teeth in pain.

You snap out of it, taking off the cap of one of your refilled water skins to come to his aid. You don't speak as you lower his zipper further. The part of his shirt on his left side is soaked through in blood. You can't imagine the pain. However, you don't linger on it, manipulating water like you've done often. The water engulfs his shoulder, and once your ability starts running through his body, he visibly collapses, resting his head against your shoulder while you do your best to heal him. 

Understandably, his wounds sucks up a lot of water. You've never healed a wound quite that bad before, never healed someone who lost a limb. Eventually, all that's left to heal is outer layers of his wound, his bloodpaths reattached.

Your peaceful moments get interrupted by a sudden curse flying your way. You grimace, focusing your cursed energy in your leg as you kick it away. 

For now, you pause your healing as you get ready to face this curse. Inumaki is quick to respond too. Obviously, he's completely out of shape currently, needing to rest and heal. However, it doesn't look like he's planning to do so. He readies his stance behind you, ready to fight by your side.

You narrow your eyes as you realize that the curse who attacked you is the same curse which was down in the metro station.

Did it follow you?

" Toge, step out of the barrier. If your shoulder gets hit my cursed technique will come undone. " 

Toge looks uncertain, his eyes switching between the curse spirit and you.

" Pickled mustard leaf."

'I'm not leaving you to fend for yourself. I can help.'

Your voice is strong, certain, leaving no room for argument.

Meanwhile the curse spirit grins creepily.

" I've killed the other two. " 

It's lying. You know it is.

You scoff, Your cursed energy reaching for the remainder of your water kept inside of your water skins.

" You wish you could." 

With that said, you produce a harsh wave, sending him flying.

" Toge, Sukuna and I left Megumi in the shopping district of the city. We kinda... forgot him, to be honest. Please find him and take him outside of the barrier with you."

You don't leave any room for argument, chasing after the cursed spirit, reaching him in a heartbeat.

" I hope you're ready because we're going to end you today!"

Yuuji and Sukuna are hot on Mahito's heel, following him with every step. That doesn't mean that things go flawlessly though.

Currently, both are running up the stairs, reaching another level of the metro station, only for Yuuji to get hit with a line of humans, their bodies stabbed through by Mahito's arm.

Sukuna's eyes widen.

What the fuck is this thing?

He jumps, avoiding Yuuji from collapsing into his body. In one smooth maneuver, he cuts the spirit's arm- or at least, attempts to.

Shit. He forgot to ask for his most prized weapon, stored safely in the space of your domain.

" This is funny. You look like Sukuna, but you have no cursed energy. " 

Mahito's grinning creepily.

Sukuna scoffs at him, sheating his sword back in it's sheat. Instead, he unties the cloth he has wrapped around his thigh, wrapping it around his hand. It's imbued with his universe' Yuuji's cursed energy, allowing his punches to have effect. He doesn't need a weapon to take the thing on. He'll wring him with his bare hands.

" Are you okay?" 

Yuuji is concerned, his hands gentle as he breaks the man's fall.

The man turns to face him.

" Yeah." 

He's not. The man's head turns blue before exploding, his blood splattering all over Yuuji. 

Mahito, who knew this would happen, is quick to close in on him, changing his hand into a weapon. Sukuna follows, Mahito's hit never coming in contact with Yuuji as as Sukuna interferes, punching it swiftly in it's side, sending him flying.

Nobara glances up, noting that something has flown into the roof behind her. She doesn't hesitate, sending nails it's way as it aims to punch her.

It's gone before she can see what it is, but soon enough, the cursed spirit comes running back, aiming an attack that elongates it's limbs in some sick way. The different ends of it's limbs punch into the ground harshly. Nobara, who had seen it aiming her way, runs, avoiding them from hitting her. She ends up on the roof, aiming yet another nail at it. 

It hits.

Finally, you return to the scene after that, jumping through the air in time to notice the curse expanding it's limbs once again. Thankfully, you had already been speeding water in that familiar lethal circle, and you slam it down.

The curse's eyes widen, pulling back just in time as your attack hits the ground. The ground cracks beneath the force, a huge slash left in it's awake.

It's eyes widen, amusement dancing in it's eyes.

It didn't expect you to have that kind of power. 

" Not bad!" 

It's amused, intrigued in your power. But did you have the ability to fight him? 

Either way, it chases after Nobara as you hit the floor, your newfound cursed energy recharged and ready to use as it leaves an indent where you hit the floor as you finally land.

Meanwhile Nobara is cautious to keep it's hands on a distance.

Good. She's aware of it's power.

" You're no fun." 

The cursed spirit is quick to charge at her again once it realizes she knows, throwing several objects her way.

Nobara doesn't back down, throwing nails in return and continuing and blocking it's attempts to harm her.

You don't back down either, charging at it as well. 

It's surprisingly smooth, evading your attacks while also managing to continue attacking her.

" Neither of you can beat me." 

He's probably right. Nanami mentioned in a report that only Yuuji's attacks seem to have effect on him. 

However-

" We know, but sometimes you just gotta try anyway!" 

Nobara's words are nothing short from the truth, and soon enough, you notice what's happening. You jump onto the roof, out of her way, as she jumps down, activating her cursed technique.

" Hairpin!" 

At once, the nails beneath the curse explode. Nobara grins, satisfied as it's hands are severed. She jumps on it next, slapping her strawdoll on its body and raising her hammer.

" I've been wanting to try this on you for a while now. Resonance!" 

Both of you grin at one another, before sharpening in on the situation again. Her technique is effective against it, which was understandably great. However-

" That was odd. I just felt my cursed energy explode somewhere else nearby. Let's see. Your cursed energy is weak, and you passed on the chance to grab me earlier too. You're some kind of double that can't use its technique, aren't you?" 

Your eyes widen at her words. She's right. It makes sense. 

The curse, or well, the curse's double, grins, licking it's own blood off it's face.

" Correct." 

Meanwhile, Sukuna and Yuuji are watching with wide eyes as several spikes puncture through Patchface, recognizing that cursed technique all too well.

" Nobara." 

" Sukuna! Now!" 

With that, the two of them rain down punch after punch on Mahito.

" Sukuna, once Nobara's cursed technique has worked out, let me do the punching. You don't have the cursed energy to protect yourself!" 

Yuuji's words have no ill intent, yet Sukuna scoffs, huffing with a nod, giving Mahito a particularly harsh punch and sending him flying.

" Tch. Fine. Don't concern yourself over me. You'll get distracted, and I'm not weak." 

Yuuji nods in acknowledgment, but doesn't react otherwise.

He doesn't know how to feel about Sukuna, especially because of what Ryomen Sukuna just did. Cursed energy or not, Itadori Sukuna was dangerous, strong. He saw it while Ryomen Sukuna was in control. Your Sukuna stood a serious chance if he was given the right weapon.

Yuuji wouldn't dare underestimate him.

" This is where the real battle begins!" 

Nobara's grinning, as are you. You have a chance.

" Nah.. I'm outta here!" 

The duplicate takes the both of you by surprise, shooting off in the opposite direction instead.

" What?! Hold it!"

The both of you charge at it, and soon enough you realize it's heading back to the metro station.

You understand Nobara's train of thought as the both of you are running, realizing the plan that's formulating in her head. You don't always need to communicate with people to catch on, and right now is one of those moments.

If you continue down this pad, you'll make your way to B5, where Gojo sensei is sealed. You had originally pushed that aside. Alone, you would be no match for Geto Suguru's cursed technique. Not in this environment.

If only you were near a river now.

The both of you follow after Mahito, jumping after it as it jumps down into the metro station.

Meanwhile the original Mahito jumps into multiple smaller versions of himself beneath Yuuji's punch, avoiding it at the last second.

Damnit. It split up.

It's not stupid either, choosing to run away in multiple directions. 

" Shit." 

Sukuna scoffs, taking out his Chain once again, getting to work with destroying one after another. Yuuji punches one of the other ones, the one with the most cursed energy.

However, once Mahito has gained enough momentum between Yuuji and Sukuna, he comes back together again.

" Haha, fooled ya'." 

And then he's running off.

" Come back here you fucking wuss!" 

Sukuna's visibly irritated. He hates it when opponents chicken out.

Truth to be told, Sukuna loves fighting. It's one of the rare things he's good at and useful for. He doesn't really care if he has to exorcise something or kill it. He doesn't care who he has to kill. As long as the people who he cares for are at his side.

Exasperated, Sukuna throws his Chain Mahito's way, who gets lucky, avoiding it at the last minute, jumping down the escalator.

Why was it heading towards that part of the metro station?

Yuuji is the first to see both Mahito's, confused by the double's appearance.

Sukuna follows shortly after.

Both boys their eyes widen as they notice Nobara and you at the other side.

Confusion rushes through the both of you, and it takes you a moment before the dots connect in your mind.

The spirit never followed you. It had been fighting Yuuji and Sukuna this whole time. You thought it had followed you and then split up as some kind of survival tactic.

" Itadori?" 

" Kugisaki! Y/N! Run!" 

It's too late. The spirit is too quick.

By the time Sukuna catches up in realizing what is happening, the spirit is too close to Nobara, and close to you too. It was too late to throw out the Chain and pull the spirit back towards them to save the both of you. He tries either way.

Your eyes widen in horror as the curse's hand slaps against Nobara's face, swiftly hitting her for a moment before heading your way. 

You're lucky. You're incredibly lucky. Your fighting style was engraved into your subconscious, allowing you to move without thinking about it. A harsh training your parents ordered you to follow in case the Kamo clan would ever decide to attempt to take your life. The Clan never had. They had rightfully been too scared of your parents to ever seriously harm you. 

However, your parents aren't here to protect you. Except for Sukuna, you're on your own. 

Today, your fighting style saves your life. The sleek movements of your body allowing you to move along the curse spirit's body, allowing you to escape its lethal touch in reflex. 

And just to Sukuna's luck, you step in the right direction, his Chain wrapping around your arm.

By the time you're glancing down at your arm in realization of what just happened, he's already pulling you his way harshly, causing you to loose your footing as you stumble in his direction.

Meanwhile Yuuji snaps as the double grins, laughing about Nobara's injury.

" Haha! Hit you dead on!" 

" Out of my way!" 

Yuuji hits the double harshly only once. It's enough to kill it.

Sukuna meets you halfway, catching you before your body hits the ground, his arms secure around your waist as he catches you. Neither of you speak. You numbly get back on your feet as you gently call out to her, scared eyes searching her expression.

" ......Nobara..?" 

Everyone watches with bated breath, unwilling to loose her. You make quick work of uncapping your water skin, running out of Sukuna's loose hold as you manipulate a stream of water towards her, using the same technique you've used on Tsumiki of your universe. It glows as it surrounds her. Perhaps, your technique was strong enough to save her. You're already crying, though you don't realize it, desperate to save the girl you know as your best friend.

" You!" 

Mahito does not like you. Your reverse cursed energy is blinding. And if you keep this up, you'll save her.

He extends a hand towards you, and Sukuna is quick to react, pulling you back, out of harm's way. Though it does the trick: it breaks your concentrations, your healing circle breaks, and Mahito's technique runs it's course as it would.

" Yuuji, Y/N, Sukuna, please tell everyone: It wasn't so bad." 

She's smiling as her face contorts, before the side of her head explodes.

Yuuji's voice is small as he calls out to her.

" Nobara?" 

You start crying, and this time, you do realize it.

You rub your temples, as you watch your husband whine, “how much did you let him drink?”

“Let him? He was a force of his own, he—“ Ijichi cuts off when he sees your glare, balking as he panics, she’s even scarier than Gojo when she’s mad! “I’m so sorry!”

You shake your head, “it’s fine, Ijichi,” and he scurried away quickly, leaving you with your very inebriated husband. The one who had drank one sip of alcohol too many and was probably liable to misfire a hollow purple any second, “Satoru,”

You approached him and were met with the resistance of his infinity, as he sat slumped over on the booth table, “Satoru, put down your infinity—“

“No,”

“Satoru, come on, you have to stop or I can’t take you home,” and he’s shaking his head, cheeks flushed.

“No, I mean I don’t know how to,” he sighs, “the infinity is all messed up, I can’t do it,” he rubs his eyes, and you’re sighing again.

“It’s just because of the alcohol, Toru,” you sit beside him, “you can do it

His face was buried in the crook of your neck, dead weight on his two feet, as he pulled you even closer, cheeks flushed and warm from the alcohol, “why didn’t you come? You told me you were gonna pick me up,”

“No, I didn’t, you said Ijichi was going to—“ you manage to say before he’s whipping his head up, eyes sparking with blue, but lips curled in a pout, as if he wasn’t two seconds from obliterating you and the entire block.

“Do you hate me?” And his eyes nearly glow in the dark of the night, infinity flickering as you drew closer, “do you not want me to have your kids?”

Your hand finally reaches him, as you are the only one who can pierce through his defenses, “first of all l, I would be the one having your kids, weirdo,” your fingers cup his cheek, thumbing away his tears, “and how could I ever hate my husband?”

He blinks at you, “You’re married?” And you have to bite back your laugh at his affronted expression, “to who? I’ll hollow purple them!”

You snort, “Well he has light hair, blue eyes, and is drunk off his ass,”

He blinks, furrowing his brow, “Nanami?” And you laugh, before kissing him hard. You can taste the alcohol on his lips still, mixed with the aftertaste of sugar and chocolate he had at the bar most likely.

“Get it now?” And he grins, nodding, as he hangs all over you as you get him into the car with you, leaning against you as you drive home.

“So you’re gonna leave your husband for me?”

“…I might, if you ever drink again.”

" Oh.." 

You, Yuuji and Megumi's eyes are wide as Nobara spills her cup of coffee on Gojo sensei's blouse. You don't doubt that it was most probably unnecessarily expensive.

" Shoot." 

" You've done it now, Kugisaki. This is Gojo sensei's, right? " 

Yuuji's words are not very helpful as he holds the blouse, a sweatdrop on the side of his head as he inspects the stain.

Nobara stares down at it, seemingly thinking about what to do.

A moment later, she's drawing on the white board, some kind of explanation going on.

" On one hand, we have Ijichi, who entrusted us with this freshly dry cleaned blouse-" 

You blink at her words, leaning your head down on your palm.

Where exactly was she going with this?

"- And then there's me who spilled coffee on it. Who's really at fault?"

" You."

All three of you speak at the same time, causing Nobara to pout.

" Really Y/N? I thought at least you'd have my back in this." 

You give her an embarrassed smile. Usually, in any other  situation, you would. But this really was her fault. You couldn't possibly defend her from this.

" Let her be. Don't pressure her because of your mistake." 

You, Yuuji and Nobara blink at Megumi in surprise.

Yes, you were aware that this universe Megumi seemed to be fond of you, but now he was even standing up for you! ( He doesn't even do that for Yuuji.) 

He glances at all three of you in an annoyed manner.

" What?" 

All three of you simply blink in response, not elaborating.

Moments later, all four of you are working to get the stain out of Gojo sensei's blouse.

" You gotta dab it like this. Dab. Dab." 

" That's what I'm doing!" 

It's not working. Roughly 20 minutes later, you're all staring at the blouse, which is positively ruined.

" Does anyone have Dasty? We might be able to get it out with that if we soak it for a bit and then throw it in the laundry again." 

Yuuji blinks at your words.

" Really?" 

You shrug,

" It works for most stains. I'm not a coffee drinker though so I've never had to fix a coffee stain before."

Nobara appears to not be listening, her eyes fixated on the shirt before she suddenly speaks.

" You think it could pass for a Marimekko design?"

" That would be an insult to fashion." 

Nobara huffs, before turning to Megumi with a smirk.

" C'mon, I'm sure it's cheap anyway. Fushiguro, look up the brand." 

You cringe.

" I wouldn't be so sure about that, Nobara." 

It's kind of what you expected, but somehow even more expensive.

Megumi doesn't look surprised as he shows the price tag, seemingly unbothered by it. Nobara and Yuuji both wear grave expressions, while you bite your lip.

¥ 250,000 That's a lot of money for a blouse.

Ouch.

" A-after tax?" 

" Before. Does it even matter?" 

Nobara sighs, before hardening her expression.

" Fine. I'll put in ¥ 90,000. You guys can put in a little more than  ¥ 53,000 each." 

" Hue?!" 

You agree with Yuuji.

However, right at that moment, you hear the doors of the classroom open.

Your eyes widen, before you take the blouse and shove it in Megumi's face.

" Quick, hide it in your zip up!" 

" What?! Why can't you hide it in yours?!-" 

" You're taller! Gojo sensei's here already!" 

To your utter surprise, he actually does it.

You didn't expect him to listen.

" Morning! Ijichi said you guys had my shirt?-" 

Gojo sensei's smile slips off his face, his blindfolded gaze on Megumi.

You pretend to look innocent, while Nobara and Yuuji are working hard to hold their laughter. 

" What's the matter, Megumi?" 

He's shoved the blouse in his zip up so quickly, that it's caused a huge bump to form.

" It's nothing." 

He looks mildly annoyed as he speaks, but he's still not pulling out the blouse just yet.

Both Yuuji and Nobara break out in laughter, and Yuuji can't explain in any other way but to pull out the blouse from Megumi's collar. Their dynamic causes you to grin. Even if Megumi is irritated by what's happening.

And now, Nobara is dead.

Tears are streaming down your face as you find yourself rooted to the ground, unable to move.

" Kugisaki..." 

Yuuji is on the verge of panicking, of giving up, of calling it quits. And Sukuna knows. 

However, he finds himself unable to move. The marked boy is stood rooted to the ground, one arm still tight around your waist. You're not calling out to him, but he knows that he's the only thing keeping you grounded right now. The only thing keeping you from collapsing completely.

He wants to help Yuuji. He knows he has to, but he fears he's powerless. The Sukuna of this universe is merciless, a true evil. In Yuuji's eyes, Itadori Sukuna is nothing but a bad reminder of the monster who lives inside him. He doesn't recognize him as the asshole brother he is.

Death rarely shakes Sukuna. It was something that has always been that way. Sukuna always seemed to have some kind of error. He didn't have the emotions other people had. He truely cared about very few people, yet didn't mind going out of his way to help another. Yuuji and you are one of the very few people whose death he would actively mourn if it were to happen.

Nobara, one of your best friend's, is dead. But this wouldn't hit Sukuna until he had proper time to sit down. And even when he did, it was a true question whether he'd mourn her.

Sukuna swallows, before softly shaking you. He's toughing up for the two of you. he doesn't know this cursed spirit, doesn't know what's going on in this universe, but if he doesn't step up, Yuuji will get his ass beat and you'll be stuck in your head in a cycle. 

There's no time for that.

Sukuna's eyes widen as the curse, Mahito, closes in, it's focus on Yuuji and Yuuji alone.

" Y/N." 

He continues shaking you, trying to catch your attention. You blink through your tears, trying to regain your attention.

Yuuji gets hit with black flash by the curse. Sukuna shakes you more feverishly, trying to wake you from your numbness.

You finally snap back to Sukuna when Yuuji gets thrown into a wall.

" I need Light Fury." 

Your eyes are wide, taking in the scene, taking in what's happening.

" He needs you.." 

You're back, fully aware again, finally out of your shocked state.

Sukuna shakes his head, his hold on you loosening, before his arm fully slips off you.

He sighs as he faces you, wiping your tears with his thumb.

Sukuna's neutral expression was intimidating, but you have always been able to see through the way he carries himself, has always seen him as him.

And Sukuna knows he could never bring himself to be mean to you when you're crying like this.

Leaning down, he presses a short kiss to your forehead.

" I know. We can't allow their deaths to be in vain. Get me Light Fury, sweetheart. Focus on healing nobara as far as you can. I refuse to believe she dies easy."

You nod, glancing up at him. You're so glad he's here. So glad he's come to save you. So glad you're not alone in this mean universe.

You reach out beside you, focusing on your reverse cursed energy. Some kind of portal opens up behind you, the hilt of a white katana visible. Just like Megumi's shadow follows him everywhere, water is in the very air surrounding you as well. Light Fury is a weapon capable of killing special grade curses. It's loaded on reverse cursed energy. It was originally a regular weapon before Yuta brought it to you with the idea.

Sukuna rips it out of the small portal, allowing it's energy to attract Mahito's attention.

The two of you split up. You take a deep breath before focusing, drawing your ring of water with every last drop you can physically find around you as you drop to your knees besides Nobara's body.

Sukuna was right. Your best friend is tough, You couldn't accept her death just like this. She was too stubborn for that. 

You focus, really focus, finally. Your eyes close as you focus on her vitals, on keeping her alive, or forcefully keeping her body going.

Meanwhile, Sukuna joins the fight.

Mahito seems impressed, avoiding Sukuna's newfound blade with an interested expression in it's eyes.

" Oooeh, you wanna join in on the fun? Found a new toy?" 

Sukuna doesn't react, his eyes sharp on Mahito as he calls out to Yuuji.

" Yuuji. Get up. Stop crying. We need you. We don't have time for that." 

Sukuna could never be soft with Yuuji. Not during training, and not while they might be fighting to their deaths either.

Yuuji shakes his head. He's completely given up. Completely gone. Sukuna would be one of the last people who can save him.

" You should leave. You and Y/N both. I already almost accidentally killed her. This isn't your universe. Go home." 

Sukuna rolls his eyes in annoyance, a vein popping in his head. Did he really have to act all depressed now?  (  Yes, Sukuna, was nowhere near soft on Yuuji. Ever.)

he doesn't need to fight Mahito long. Within seconds, he's suddenly moved to a completely different spot, his place taken by what appears to be a loose rock.

He only knows one asshole with that technique. Todo.

Meanwhile your nose has started bleeding. You're really demanding a lot from your body today, demanding a lot from both your curse energy and reversed curse energy. At this point, you're fighting to stay awake. 

You're exhausted. You don't even know if Nobara is dead or alive anymore. You're fully focusing on healing her, even if it proves to be aimless. You've reached a point where your head hurts, your energy is reaching it's limits, and you can't feel her vitals.

" I- Are you okay?" 

Nitta Arata is both amazed and terrified. You're surrounded by reverse cursed energy, as is Nobara's body.

His call to you makes you blink. Your vision is already hazy.

" Huh?  Who are you?" 

" My name is Nitta Arata. I'm here to help. My technique can stop injuries from getting worse.-" 

Nitta stops talking as you collapse. The ring of water is completely gone, dissipated in Nobara's skin and the air surrounding you. Nitta watches it happen with wide eyes before rushing over. He treats you first, before deciding to apply his technique to Nobara as well. He doubts she's alive, but you had been too focused to not do that. Nitta glances at you one last time before leaving.

That was without doubt the most powerful reverse cursed technique he's seen in his entire life.

Moments later, he arrives at Todo's side.

" I've finished treating the girls over there. One's probably dead though." 

Sukuna's eyes widen as Light Fury dissipates.

Had you collapsed?  

Todo opens his mouth as he takes a good look at Sukuna, and behind him Nitta tenses up as well.

" I'm from Y/N's universe. I'm not going to bother explaining. We have shit to do, get to work." 

Sukuna's eyes are sharp as he passes by Todo, their heights matching. 

Todo can feel this Sukuna is not a threat. He has no cursed energy after all. He respects him as he passes by. Sukuna's brown eyes flit over Nitta hotly for a second, but he doesn't say anything. Moments later, he finds you, seemingly sound asleep near Nobara's side.

He huffs, leaning down and picking you up with ease. He notes the blood that seemed to have run down from your nose. You must have gone beyond your limit.

" Always getting into fucking trouble. Now I have to go find a stupid nasty Shibuya river again." 

He grumbles, complaining to himself as he carries you out of the metro station, taking one last look at Nobara before sighing.

He doesn't want to leave her body behind, but he has no choice.

He glances down at your sleeping form in his arms, before shaking his head, and finding his way outside.

" So much trouble for such a little shit." 

Yuuji is better off in Todo's hands.
