In Which You Officially Become A Couple.

In which you officially become a couple.

In Which You Officially Become A Couple.

Inumaki Toge has a crush on you.

Technically, it's not weird.

Technically he's 'allowed' to.

You're engaged after all. Even though you're much too young to get married anytime soon, and even though you are arranged by your clans after all.

Still, he can't help but feel nervous around you. His cheeks tinting pink whenever you talk about something passionately, your smile brightening up his days. He's too young to understand actually loving someone yet, but he's well aware that he very much likes you.

However, he has no idea how to tell you, or let you know.

Thinking about telling you has his hands getting sweaty and cause a fierce blush to spread across his face.

Besides, he can't talk to you. Not like a normal person at least. No matter how much he wants to. Apart from saying your name, he still has to stick to onigiri ingredients.

Communication between the two of you has been getting better, but you're learning to understand without him translating on his phone.

He doesn't mind translating. He often types out entire texts of speech for you when you're having a conversation about something interesting. But it does make communicating his feelings harder.

He wants the words to come from him directly, not by him showing you his phone screen and blinking at you nervously. He has to figure something out.

Body language will have to do, he supposes. He can't tell you, but perhaps he can show you.

Or maybe, he just needs to ask a certain someone for advice. Someone who has probably asked out a lot of girls before.

-

Gojo Satoru blinks at his future student in surprise.

" What?"

He's heard of Toge's engagement to you. How could he not? He's one of the big three clans after all.

However, of all things, he doesn't understand the hassle. You're already engaged. Why not just immediately get married? Besides, of all things he's expected Toge to ask, this had been the very last one.

" Just ask her- "

Toge has to blink in annoyance for Satoru to understand.

" Oh. Right. Okay, new plan!"

-

A few days later, that plan is finally put into action.

You're not in the same schools, so you're meeting up after school. He's already waiting for you at the park, in the city near your school. In his hands, he holds a chinese lantern plant. Originally, Gojo's plan included flowers, but he didn't necessarily like flowers. They weren't permanent. These were. They'd blossom along with your love. Hopefully for a very long time- Unless you'd reject him.

He swallows, hoping the best.

" Toge!"

Turning his head from where he had been staring at the plant, he turns to face you, a smile immediately taking over his features. He shifts the plant to one of his arms, using the other to take your palm in his in greeting, his thumb soothing over your skin.

You smile at him, the tips of your ears turning pink like they always do when he has his full attention on you.

" Hi. Oh, that's a pretty plant, what's it for?"

" Salmon cod roe."

' Wait.'

You blink, watching as he fumbles through his pockets. Eventually, he pulls out an envelope. You're not stupid, nor oblivious. You've caught onto his interest in you since the start. Besides, admittedly, you've grown to like him too.

Nearly a year has passed since you first met him, and you're pleased to say that he's the sweetest person you've ever met. He's considerate, attentive, and kind. (Not to mention extra sweet when you're on your period.) Truthfully, you like spending time with him, and you want to be closer to him too.

He hands you the envelope, his eyes wide as he signals for you to open it.

You do so.

' Dear Y/N,

I know our engagement is arranged and that you were originally not looking forward to spending the rest of your time with someone you couldn't choose yourself. I also know that we originally agreed to see how things go, and to be honest, I like how things are going. I like spending time with you. I like how you're learning my own language, and that it's not holding you back from spending time with me, and I really like who you are as a person. I'd like to spend more time with you. You're always running through my mind, and I want to be with you all the time. You're sweet, but also playful and patient. I'm sorry I can't tell you because of Cursed Speech, but I really like you  and want to be with you, because we want to, and not because we're arranged.

Ps. Please don't feel forced to return my feelings because of our engagement

Pps. The plant is for you. I've been told that pretty girls like pretty flowers, and this one made me think of you : ) '

By the end of his heartfelt letter, Toge is much more nervous than before, and you're grinning widely.

" I'd love to be with you!" You beam, jumping at him and pulling him into a hug.

He lets out a breath of relief, pulling you in close and returning your affection gladly.

Finally, he gets to call you his girl.

Extra:

" Okay, easy, this is what you gotta do!"

Toge is listening attentively to his future teacher.

" First! Get an airplane. I don't remember where you can get one, but there's one that like flies those banners- Which brings me to two! Which is actually one, but whatever. Get a banner. Or make one. One of those cheese ones that simply says 'go out with me' should do the trick. Three! Which actually could be zero, but- rose petals. Everywhere. Girls love that. You can choose any location, but a beach should be great, even though that's really far away. Might want to drive there. Last, maybe hire a mariachi band. Or like a violin player-"

Toge blinks at Gojo as he continues talking. Toge is only 14. How would he even be able to afford any of that?

" Bonito flakes."

Gojo glances at him, finally shutting up. He rolls his eyes, before shrugging his shoulders.

" Ah right, you're only fourteen. Then maybe go for the easy route. Flowers and ask her out. Maybe you can hold the banner up yourself?"

Or, maybe a love letter? Girls like that, right?

In Which You Officially Become A Couple.

Bonus Chapter: Nanami Kento

summary : In which you're isekai'd from your (own) parallel Jujutsu Kaisen universe to the canon universe. (or, for this chapter, Nanami's favorite moments with you)

wordcount : 2.3k

Pairing: Jujutsu Kaisen X Reader, mostly platonic Nanami Kento x reader for this one

Masterlist | Next

2016, Parallel Jujutsu Kaisen Universe

" Okay, so because the two of you have been a pain in everyone's ass- Here's Nanami Kento! Jujutsu Tech's ex-salary man!"

Gojo Satoru is much too excited as he introduces you and Sukuna to the blonde, who's raising a brow in question.

" Please don't introduce me like that. Also, they look young. Are they even students yet?"

" We may be young, but I promise you I can beat your ass."

Nanami blinks at 14 year old Sukuna. You grin from beside him.

Nanami blinks at you too.

" They're a little younger indeed, they'll be students here in 2 years. "

Gojo is still much too excited about the whole deal. Sending two fourteen year olds along with him on missions doesn't sound like a good idea.

" No. They'll just be in the way."

From the corner of Nanami's eye, he can see you pout, cocking your head.

" Well, either they go with you or they go with me. The higher ups ordered it, and there's no one else I trust with them."

Nanami raises a brow.

" Why would the higher ups order this?"

Both Sukuna and you are listening in on their conversation, and neither Gojo nor Nanami miss that.

However, just to their luck-

" Ah, Sukuna. Back here to get your ass beat?"

The teen snorts as he turns around, a smirk on his face as he smirks at Maki.

" You wish! I've been practicing. I'm sure I've gotten stronger!"

And just like that, Sukuna is tugging you along, away from the two adults who are very grateful for this coincidental moment.

" They want Y/N dead. They don't really care about Sukuna, but the two of them stick together like glue. "

Nanami glances at Gojo in surprise.

" Why? They're only children."

" Exactly. They're weak now. Easy to kill. Y/N's cursed technique renders the Kamo clan's immobile. They're powerless against her. Of course, they don't accept that. "

" I thought Y/N is from the Kamo clan?"

" She is. Hence why the higher ups are send onto them instead of any of the Kamo members. They're afraid of her parents."

Nanami nods.

He vividly remembers your mother, and has only heard rumors about your father. Not two people you want to be up against, not two people who'll allow you to get away if you'd murder their child.

Nanami thinks about it for a moment, before sighing.

" How often would I need to take them with me?"

" Once or twice a week for the summer break. They'll spend the rest of their time with Maki, Panda, the Jujutsu Tech staff members, Nitta and Ijichi."

Nanami nods.

" Alright. I'll find time. They will not be going on missions though."

-

Nanami finds himself pleasantly surprised. You're a pleasant kid to be around, mature enough to understand obvious choices. Sukuna is sadly not. The teenager is rude, annoying, and tends to only listen once he's beat up. Very annoying. Thankfully, you seem to cancel out his annoying attitude pleasantly, making your time together less of a forced hassle and much more pleasant.

Unexpectedly, he had found himself growing closer with you especially. He learned how to work with Sukuna. Now it never went as smoothly as it was when talking to you, but it was nice nonetheless.

Today is one of those very, very rare days. One he willingly chooses to spend with his colleagues.

" Turn right here."

Ijichi does as he says.

In the backseat, your face is pressed to the window. Sukuna is sat beside you, playing some Dark Dome puzzle game on his phone. (Idk if u ever did but I promise their games are awesome and fun.)

Beside him is none other than Satoru Gojo. For some reason, he has invited himself on this trip as well. Nanami figures that this must be so he can slack off more than he usually does. And although Nanami disapproves, he does accept it. You especially seemed happy when Gojo announced he'd join on your trip, and for some silly reason, Nanami finds himself much more relaxed when you're around.

" So, where are we going again? Are we there yet?"

It's Sukuna who's asking the question, eyes still on his mobile game.

Meanwhile you gasp, your eyes shining as you take in the sight in front of you.

" Nanami, is that the beach?!"

Now this seemed to catch Sukuna's attention. Finally, he saves his game and tucks his phone away, peeking over your shoulder. The two of you looking at your new surroundings with wide eyes.

Indeed, the car has driven into a dune like range, sand meddling with the road now.

Moments later, you're stepping out of the car, and you're jumping in excitement as you make your way to the ocean. Nanami is walking beside you, his jacket slung over his arm, his hands tucked in his pocket.

It's too cold to swim today, so he hadn't told you nor Sukuna nor anyone else to bring swimsuits. However, it was rare to have the time to actually come all the way here. He figured he might as well make use of it.

" The base of your cursed technique is water. I figured you'd like the ocean."

And you do. He can see it in the way your eyes twinkle, taking in the sight of you.

Behind the two of you, Sukuna and Gojo are fooling around, with Ijichi watching them with a smile. It's a relaxing, rare moment.

" I do! This feels great!"

All Nanami can do is chuckle as you approach the ocean.

You don't allow the cold water to deter you. You run straight into the water, allowing it to reach to your knees.

Sukuna chases after you, as exited as you are.

" Woah! The water is so cold- Doesn't it bother you?"

" No- Watch this!"

Focusing, you raise your palms, and soon enough, you're taking control of the water surrounding you.

Nanami is watching you with a fond smile, the breeze running through his hair as he breaths in the scent of the ocean.

" You've grown quite fond of them, haven't you? "

Nanami hums, not ashamed to admit that he has. Gojo grins at nothing in particular.

" Me too- Wait,what?"

Gojo has peeled away part of his blindfold to look at where you're stood in the water, focusing on your surroundings.

Nanami raises a brow.

" Something wrong? "

" Y/N's cursed energy- It's changing-"

Both men watch with wide eyes as you create a water hose. You seem to have fun with it too.

Sukuna, who seemingly has no fear of dying, is having fun too, completely swept up in the whirlwind of water.

Nanami face palms. He'll have to teach the two of you how to be less reckless together. For now however, he'll let you have this moment.

-

Many hours later, you're sat on the grassy field of Jujutsu Tech, waiting for your parents. Sukuna is inside the building with Gojo and Ijichi, now sneezing and probably sick thanks to the cold temperature of the water.

" Thank you for bringing us there. It was beautiful. I never felt so... free."

You're smiling at him, all happy and content.

And like always, Nanami smiles back, feeling more relaxed with you than he does with most people.

" I love the ocean myself too. It was as much fun for me as it is for you."

You grin at his words.

For a moment, a silence settles over the two of you. However, it's pleasant. Today was the last day of your summer break/Jujutsu Tech stay. After the weekend, you will be in your final year for middle school and he will go back to the routine he was used to before this summer.

" Y/N?"

You turn to him, humming.

" Yeah?"

" On the first day I watched over you and Sukuna, I told you that you didn't have the power required to be a sorcerer."

You hum, nodding.

" Yeah, I know..."

" I'd like to take that back-"

Originally, you had averted your gaze to look at the sky again, however, hearing his words, you turn back to him with wide eyes.

" -You're powerful. I truly underestimated you. You can make it. If you want to be a Jujutsu sorcerer, then you should pursue it."

Truth to be told, Nanami just knew you had the power to change things. Perhaps, if you followed Gojo a little bit, and learned what you needed to know, you'd be very well on your way.

You were meant for something great. He just knew it.

You smile at him, feeling proud you somehow managed to get a compliment like this one out of him.

" Thank you! Don't worry. I'll make sure you and so many others will have the chance to rest."

Nanami smiles back at you in return.

4 months ago, Parallel Jujutsu Kaisen Universe

" Oh, Nanami, you're here!"

Nanami glances up from the newspaper he's reading, greeting you with a smile. Opposite him, Gojo gapes at him.

" So you do know how to smile!"

Nanami pointedly ignores him like he's been doing for the past ten minutes.

" Y/N, it's nice to see you again."

You grin at his words, nodding in agreement.

" It is! I thought I'd notice your cursed energy here. Are you busy?"

" Not yet. I still have some hours left until the meeting starts. "

" Cool. I've made a sourdough starter. Wanna make bread?"

He raises a brow, not having expected that. Nonetheless, he gets up, putting the paper he had been reading to the side.

" Sure, I have time for that."

About 5 minutes later, Nanami finds himself stood in the dormitories' kitchen. He hasn't been here in a very long while.

The two of you are having fun setting the dough, measuring the ingredients to a recipe you found online and working together to make two buns of dough.

Nanami can't help but enjoy the moment. It's been a while since he made sourdough, and it's also been a while since he spent time with you.

You're one of the rare students he doesn't mind spending his free time with. Your demeanor is calm enough around him, and you're not constantly filling his head with nonsense like Gojo.

Soon enough, two balls of dough are rising under a plastic bubble wrap and a hand towel.

The two of you are chatting away peacefully in the kitchen, waiting on the dough.

Suddenly, Yuuji pops his head in the kitchen, having smelled something from a distance.

" Y/N, what're you baking- Oh, Nanamin, you're here too?"

Of course, Yuuji knows that Nanami had looked over you a few years ago, and that you hung out from time to time together in a peaceful manner.

" Good afternoon, Itadori."

" We're making bread."

" What kind?"

" Sourdough- I put moonseeds on mine."

Yuuji hums, before joining the two of you in the kitchen area, idly chatting away.

Truth to be told, Nanami is more fond of Yuuji than Sukuna. He's pleasant to be around, and a much better listener than his twin counterpart.

The last few hours are spent chatting away with both you and Yuuji, content to spend time together in the kitchen.

At the end of the day, Nanami leaves with a small loaf of bread in a plastic bag. Feeling content and happy in that rare way he rarely does.

-

Modern day, Parallel Jujutsu Kaisen Universe

" Fushiguro-"

Nanami Kento is taken by surprise as he notices the teenager, all bloodied up, like he just returned from a huge fight.

" Nanami-"

Fushiguro has to take a break from speaking, breathing in deeply. Either he rushed all the way here, or he's in pain.

" Fushiguro, go see Ieri, you loo-"

" No. I'm fine.- Y/N's not dead."

Nanami's eyes widen. He rushes the teenager to sit down, wanting to know more.

Although he's never admitted it out loud, he cares about you a lot. Not that he ever needed to admit it, everyone was already well aware of it.

Megumi sits down beside him, throwing the weapon he's holding on the table.

Sukuna's Inverted Spear of Heaven. A weapon the marked boy doesn't leave lying around.

Why did Megumi have it?

" Sukuna and I- We went looking for her. Instead, we found it. Some curse. It almost looks human- it's intelligent. It got Sukuna. I saw it from a distant. It uses some kind of golden ring to teleport them somewhere. My guess is very far away."

Nanami's taking in the information, surprised, but glad.

At least he knows you're alive. He'll be able to notify your parents and let them know.

He will bring you and Sukuna back.

One thing however, he's sure of. Nothing will be able to kill you if you and Sukuna stick together.

" Fushiguro, we need to talk to Gojo."

Want me a man like dis

Summary: You And Your Ex-husband Nanami Have A Good Relationship. Even After The Divorce You Remained

Summary: You and your ex-husband Nanami have a good relationship. Even after the divorce you remained good friends and even better co-parents. Babysitting for one another isn’t out of the usual, and talking about your newest relationships isn’t strange either— but when you show up at his doorstep after a particularly nasty date it leads you both to wonder if your relationship is really truly over for good.

Cw: MDNI (18+), afab!reader, small mentions of cheating, you and Nanami have a kid together, girl dad Nanami, hair pulling, consent king Nanami, aftercare !!!

Summary: You And Your Ex-husband Nanami Have A Good Relationship. Even After The Divorce You Remained

“Fine! Fucking leave!” You yell, your voice cracking as cold rain pierces your skin.

That asshole. That shitty excuse of a man your boyfriend of two weeks, left you on the side of the road. Alone. In the middle of a late summer storm.

Summary: You And Your Ex-husband Nanami Have A Good Relationship. Even After The Divorce You Remained

But what did you really expect to happen? The red flags were all neatly lined up for you. Sure maybe the fact that he smelt like a different woman’s perfume every time you met should’ve set you off, but maybe you were just over thinking it! Maybe he was a little too handsy for a man you just started dating, and maybe he was a little rude to waitresses, and bartenders, and you— but your last straw was calling him out on his empty threats. ‘I’ll leave you-‘ for this ‘I’ll shut your ass up’ for that. God did he ever stop talking. You snapped; telling him that if you pissed him so much then why didn’t he just drop you off on the side of the road. The only time he’d ever followed through… and it had to be now.

Low rumbles of thunder sound in the distance, blending with the pop of his engine as he speeds away. Inside your head is a loud jumbled mess of ‘where the fuck am I?’ and ‘who does he think he fucking is?’ but all of that sound is ultimately drowned out by that heavy pitiful feeling tugging at your heart. Angry tears prickle at the backs of your eyes as you walk, your heels crunching pebbles and walking through puddles, carrying you to the only place you know by heart. To the only man who you know wouldn’t leave you stranded.

If the night were to play out correctly you wouldn’t be showing up till noon the next day, even when dates did go wrong you never made it his problem. You were divorced after all, your love life mishaps stopped being his problem a while ago. Okay that isn’t entirely true… Nanami comes over to your house once a week for family dinner. After your little girl is tucked away in her bed and the dinner dishes have been done do you two sit alone at the table, drinks in hand as you catch up. Talking about your kid wasn’t the only topic of discussion. Friends, gossip, dates, normal adult conversation. The topic of dating other people because less and less embarrassing as the years flew by. Like the amazingly wonderful co-parenting duo you are— you came up with the babysitting agreement. Nanami happily took your daughter for the night so you could relax and bask in the company of anyone you wanted. He cherished every minute he got with his little girl, it was never a disappointment when you texted him asking if he could take her for the night.

Lost in the depths of your own mind you aimlessly walked down the dark and dreary road. Void of people, void of light. The only sound the pattering of rain and the rumbles of thunder.

Static buzzed in your ears as you slid into the empty apartment lobby, your soggy heels clacking against the neat polished floors. Your tears fizzled into a pale anger that burned the back of your throat as you pressed his floor number on the elevator. The only good thing about this entire situation, you think, is that the rain washed away the feeling of his hands on your skin. The scent of him clinging to your clothes. All gone. Washed down the sewage drain with the unpleasant memory of him.

Softly, you knocked on his door. It’s well past eleven, he should be asleep, but you know him better than that.

Nanami slowly opens the door, his brows furrow as his eyes meet yours. Concern painting his face.

You don’t have the energy to answer his unsaid questions, so instead you silently squeeze past him, kicking your wet heels off at the door. The air-conditioned room sends shivers up your soaked spine, littering your skin in goosebumps as you carry yourself to his liquid cabinet. Your fingers find the key he keeps hidden on the top of the rich oak cabinet, quickly pushing it into the lock and twisting. You’re on a mission as you blindly grab a bottle, bumping the door closed with your hip before turning to his rack of expensive drinking glasses, plucking two and setting them onto the counter with a soft clink.

He watches you pop the cork as quietly as you can, pouring the expensive liquid into two glasses, pushing one towards him without a word as you bring the sparklingly clear glass to your gloss smeared lips.

Married for four years, divorced for two, he knows the crinkle of your nose and the subtle twitch in your eye means one thing— you’re fuming. Beyond mad. If there was a word for that level of anger he’d use it to describe you in this moment.

He knows better than to ask what’s wrong, so instead he drinks with you; listening to the wall clock tick, to your nails tap against marble countertop, to the soft melody flowing from his record player. Darkness envelops you both, the only light combing from his little yellow reading lamp. It’s hardly enough to aluminate your faces, but the flicker of amber reflects in your fiery eyes.

“I think I got dumped.” You mutter, swishing the dark liquid around in your glass. You don’t wait for him to respond as you groan, willing the anger to subside and for the chill in your skin to vanish.

The crackle of the record prickles your ears just as much as the cool night air prickles your skin, filling your veins with ice as you continue to drink.

Nanami watches you, your hair drips onto your shoulders, your mascara streaky and your lips smudged. Disheveled and shivering in his kitchen. Filled with that unmistakable blinding anger you hold with such grace. If he was still your husband his hands would be wrapped around your waist, pulling you close to him in a slow lazy sway to the soft music playing. But he isn’t your husband anymore. The word ‘ex’ stopped leaving a bad taste on his tongue a while ago— you’ve both worked around your usual ways to comfort one another and made them more friendly more… pg.

He pushes his glasses up into his hair, putting his glass down softly and disappearing into the dark hall. But you don’t notice. Not when your stomach pulls, not when your head is swimming with so many useless thoughts— thinking of the waisted days, waisted nights. Ugh even waisted money. All on some asshole—

“The bath is running, I left a towel out for you.” Nanami says as he reenters unnoticed, his voice soft and airy as he stops infront of you with a towelette. He tilts your chin to the side, your eyes scanning over his face as he cleans yours; he runs the cool wipe over your cheek, under your eyes and across your lips. He knows you’re more than capable, but still he handles you as delicately as humanly possible, swiping away stray hairs clung to your forehead and cheeks as if you would shatter under his fingers like the glasses you drank from.

He finishes, turning away to clean up the kitchen as you make your way towards the sound of running water.

The smell hits you before you push open the door; lavender scented suds decorate the surface of the water. Steam swirls into the air as you peel off your wet clothes— and for the first time tonight you were excited. Scolding water seeps into your skin as you step in, a tired groan escapes your lips as you sink farther in.

It’s funny how things change, how time passes and people grow apart, you think as you submerge your shoulders. Nanami used to run you baths almost every night, his small way of telling you how much he cherished you. Bubbles of every scent, bath oils and salts, candles and wine. The memory like a blanket as your skin tingles under the scolding water.

A soft knock at the door has your droopy eyes opening, “It’s unlocked.” You say, your voice horse and exhausted. Nanami softly cracks the door open, he walks in and places a small bundle of clothes onto the toilet lid, “You can wear these.” His clothes, a lounge shirt, too old sweatpants and a pair of boxers. You watched as he picked up your pile of sopping clothes, ringing the remaining water into the sink.

You’ve worn his clothes before. On laundry day, the morning after… an eventful night, even when you just missed him. That weird feeling in your stomach probably means nothing.

You watch him in the low light of the bathroom, his muscles rippling under his t-shirt as he works the water from the fabric in a comfortable silence.

“How was your night?” You ask, your fingers swirling through foamy bubbles. Nanami hums as he turns to face you; he rests against the sink, folding his arms across his chest. “Fine.” He says, his tone even as he scans your face.

It’s normal— seeing your ex wife soak in your bathtub, naked in your home for the first time in years. The thought makes Nanami shift slightly, his eyes focusing on the tile behind you. A safer option.

You mold the bubbles into little lumps, feeling his gentle gaze on you as if it’s normal again. Maybe tomorrow this memory will haunt you, make you burn up from the inside out. How oddly vulnerable the entire ordeal is. But for now you just smile softly, “what, you’re not going to ask me about my night?” You hum only half kidding.

Clearing his throat he turns back to the sink, “I assumed you wouldn’t want to talk about it.” Droplets of rainwater trickle down the drain as he squeezes the fabric again.

You don’t want to talk about it, so why did you even bother bringing it up?

You lean back, your eyes still glued to the fizzling bubbles in your palm and clinging to your skin. Where would you even start? Maybe how your date was ogling the waitress as soon as you got there, or maybe how he tried to gaslight you in the car, or how you have him the wicked suggestion to dump you onto the streets.

“Would you?” He asks, cutting through the silence, “Like to talk about it, I mean.”

Maybe you could talk about how your date never asked what you wanted. Or how he never called you gorgeous, just because. Maybe you could bring up how he only ever seemed to want you a little more when other women wouldn’t look his way.

There’s a line, right? Between ex’s and friends? There’s things you shouldn’t talk about past a certain point. Yet you still got excited to tell him about small insignificant things. Like the amazing bagel you had for breakfast, or how you and your daughter watched the most gut wrenching animated movie the night before and cried way more than she did; the small things you never seemed to tell your other partners. But you were friends… right? That’s what this was. A friendship.

You hum, “let me wash my hair first.” Nanami takes his cue, collecting your still wet clothing and leaving the bathroom.

You dip your head under the rapidly cooling water after heating the door click closed. The soft hum and the slight pop as the water envelops you like a liquid blanket, drawing you in as you hold your breath.

✮ ✮ ✮

His clothes seem to always sag on you, no matter your size they always felt so big. The cold hardwood floor sends a shiver up your spine as you step through the quiet hall. Nanami sits in his arm chair, your unfinished glass waiting for you on the coffee table, the record has been changed, joined with the soft hum of the drier now running, the warm yellow light still flickers away.

A time capsule of peace, this was your life. Coming home and reading your respective books on opposite sides of the room, or maybe together on the sofa huddled close together— but why’re you thinking about that now? Ugh it nags at you as you sit down, your body suddenly heavy as the plush couch pulls you in.

“What time is it?” You ask as you give in to exhaustion, your eyes fluttering shut and your head lulling back. You hear Nanami close his book, “2:45am.”

You sigh, digging the heels of your palms into your tired eyes, “Shit.” Despite the pang of unmet hunger in the pit of your stomach, despite the exhaustion gnawing at you, despite everything that’s happened tonight— you giggle. The sound startling another one out of you as you curl in on yourself, “god what a fucking night.”

Nanami gazes at you, drowning in his t-shirt, absolutely hysterical— with what he wonders.

“That asshole—“ you start, your wet hair clinging to your face as you roll your head to face him, “never once asked me what I wanted.”

He nods, and you continue, “not when we went out for dinner, not when we grabbed drinks, not when we fucked—“ your hands fly up on a silent groan, “who does that?” The question far above a whisper.

Nanami was many things— always busy, always working, but he never neglected you or your needs. That’s one thing you could never replace in your newer partners, his attentiveness.

“People are greedy.” He says, pushing his glasses up as he gently places his forgotten book onto the coffee table. “They—“ should he say this? Should he even be thinking it? But you’re friends… friends… comfort each other. “They don’t know how to please you in the ways you want crave— need. They never take the time.” His voice a husky whisper.

You groan, tired and not thinking as you go to continue complaining, “Like you know what I want.” The words come out with an edge you never meant to put there.

“I’m not saying that—“

“You might as well be, I never asked for your input, it was rhetorical.” You snap, the words clawing their way out before you can stop them. Was it pent up anger that made you stand up? Or maybe that simmering unmet lust burning deep in your gut that made you walk in front of him, challenging him, begging him wordlessly. Or maybe it was that deep history, etched into your bones, your body craving his forgotten touch.

He stares up at you, his legs spread wide, his arms gripping the armrests. His breathing slows, his eyes set on yours in a heated stare.

“Do you know what I want?” You ask, voice low, your words crackle with need. “Did you ever know what I wanted?“

Nanami knew you like the back of his hand. You liked when he’d go down on you, legs spread wide by his strong hands. You liked to pull his hair when he’d bite at your neck, so he grew it out. You liked when he’d ruin you with just his tongue while he held your small hand in his much larger one. He knew every freckle on your body, every stretch mark, every hair. He knew what your moods meant, when you were silently begging to be split apart on his cock.

He knew what you wanted more than you did.

The record keeps spinning as he rises, his body towering over you, his voice rumbles deep in his throat, “You know the answer… but tell me—“

You swallow thickly, your body stiffens as he brushes your drying hair from your shoulder, his face lowers, his hot breath fans over the damp shell of your ear sending goosebumps flying across your skin. “As long as we’ve been apart… have you ever wished… it were me between your legs?”

Your eyes flutter, just like your heart as you press your palms into his firm chest. Did you? You stand there, your fingers pressing harder into his clothed skin as you wrack your brain. Maybe you have been comparing your partners to him, maybe that’s by you can’t keep one— fuck maybe that’s why you got yourself kicked out of a car tonight. But his breath is so hot against your skin, you can feel his hands hover above your hips. You both know what you want, you both know what you need.

“If I said no,” your voice breathy, “would you believe me?”

He laughs, the sound brings a slime to your lips as his forehead falls to your shoulder. In this moment it seems so simple, feels so familiar. And maybe that’s all you need tonight.

“Is it… okay if I touch you?” He asks, that sentence hasn’t been heard in years, you’d almost forgotten how wet it makes you. Almost.

You nod, your palms slowly sliding up his chest and around his neck.

That light moment slowly fading before your eyes as he presses his lips to the exposed skin below your ear. “Words.”

“Yes dammit you know I hate when you—“

You choke on your words as he pulls back, his hand threading with your damp locks and craning your head back. Your eyes frantically search his, the reading lamp the only light reflecting off of them.

Nanami’s usual gentleness is gone as he stares you down. “You need to be quiet for me, can you do that?” One hand cradles your cheek, the other tugs at your hand, begging to be held.

Before you can answer he’s pulling you with him, leading you to his bedroom. The darkness of the apartment swallows you both as you enter the room, the music fading, the sounds of your eager breath becomes the only sound ringing in both of your ears.

He doesn’t waste time sliding his warm hands underneath your shirt, pulling you closer to him as his lips crash into yours.

Everything about him invades your senses, the taste of his lips, his touch, the smell of him— all of it makes you clench your thighs together as his fingers press into your soft skin.

“I forgot—“ Nanami’s lips trail a path down your throat, his fingers sliding under the waistband of the boxers you’re wearing, “how incredible you look in my clothes.” His boxers, his shirt, his sweatpants— all of it reeks of him— the overwhelming scent of his cologne makes you dizzy as the pads of his fingers teasingly brush against your clit. The tips of your ears burn as you choke down a moan, your own fingers tangling into his combed blonde hair.

He makes a quiet ‘tsk’ before biting your neck, a soft nip before he’s licking the pain away, “quiet—“ lithe fingers sink slowly into you, “or I stop.”

Lust clouds every rational thought swirling around inside of your brain as you nod frantically, desperate for him to continue.

“Good girl.” Your hips grind down onto his fingers, clit brushing against his palm with an infuriating lightness. Not enough. Never enough. A soft whine of frustration sounds in the back of your throat. His free hand sneaks up your throat, his fingers dancing across your jaw, this thumb pulling at your plump bottom lip. A groan—husky and raw sounds deep in his chest as the diget slips past your lips into your warm wet mouth. Hot and slick as he presses the pad of his thumb down onto your tongue.

Dark eyes meet yours in the inky black of his room, “get on the bed.”

He pulls out of you, turning away from you before you can beg him to continue. Nanami rushes to the door, his feet light as he gently clicks it closed. You’re too busy peeling off his boxers to notice him lick a long stripe up his slick fingers, but you hear the sound he makes. He groans as his tongue licks every last drop of you from his fingers.

You sink onto the bed just as he flicks on a small lamp, your body cast in that familiar pale yellow glow. Nanami however is a silhouette before you, warm light framing his every move. Clenching around nothing you watch him peel his shirt off, the sound of his pants following suit. You crawl backward in search of the headboard, his hands grasp your ankles and in one quick yank you’re back at the edge. You instinctively clamp your thighs together as he sinks to his knees, hands prying your legs apart. “Don’t run from me, show me what I’ve been missing.” He whispers, his gentle voice sending shivers down your spine and to your waiting cunt. And he notices. You’re spread wide with his hands trailing torturously gentle shapes into your skin.

He feels so pathetic. He’s harder than he’s ever been as he gazes at your weeping pussy splayed out for him, leaking down your ass and onto his freshly washed sheets. How long will he just stare at you, mouth watering as you bite down hard on your bottom lip while your legs tremble under his feather light touch.

“Kento-“ you mumble, “this is embarrassing stop teasing m—“ you gasp at the sudden sensation. His lips find your swollen clit without fail, the familiarity slowly rising back to the surface. He mumbles against you, his words muffled and sending shivers straight through you as his fingers prod at your dripping hole.

It’s torture you think. The way he flattens his tongue against your throbbing clit, fingers sliding in with ease as you clasp your hand around your mouth. Lips trembling as you choke down moan after moan.

Nanami’s always been a tender lover, putting your needs above his own— it’s nice to know that hasn’t changed as you dig your heels into his mattress, thighs trembling and back arching ever so slightly as he bullies his fingers into you again and again. The desperate depraved moans you choke down slip out as small squeaks that have Nanami leaking through his boxers.

He can’t take it— how warm you are against his fingers, juices leaking down his arm, his tongue working in ways he’d forgot possible. He moans against you one final time before pulling off, licking his lips clean as you prop yourself up onto your elbows.

“Ken—“

“Turnover” his voice deep and laced with utter desperation as you watch him tuck his thumbs under the electric of his boxers.

It was like a game, waiting to see who will crack first as he peels away that last layer of fabric. He’s throbbing and so painfully hard under your watchful gaze. Your eyes taking in every vein, admiring that upward bend that had to seeing stars countless times— not even a foot away from you now.

“Can I-“ suck you off.

Large hands pull you forward, “Later.” That inhuman strength has you spinning, landing on your stomach with a startled yelp.

You push yourself up, arms trembling as he reaches over you and snatches a pillow. “W-wait, I wanted to—“ you go to stutter in protest only for his palm to press down firmly on your back, right between your shoulder blades. One second your hips are pressed into the soft bedsheets— the next they’re held high in the air only supported by his brutal grasp.

Your senses are on fire. Your cheek is pressed into a pillow that smells so much like his shampoo, your thighs covered in your cooling slick, all you can hear is your own hammering heart and jagged breaths as his hands slide over you. One trailing up the small of your back, sneaking over your shoulder blades and stopping at your nape. The other holds you up by the hips as he slots his cock between your slick folds with a sickeningly low groan.

Nanami presses his chest against your back, you can feel his heart, feel his body heat, you can practically taste the sweat that already adorns his face as his lips hover over the shell of your ear. “Tell me to stop, and I’ll stop.” He whispers, his voice so husky you can feel the rumble slide down your throat and live in your ribcage. You nod frantically, “Fine, okay you have my word— fuck—hurry up already! Please-please-please—“ you whine, a memory that will have your cheeks the richest shade of red come tomorrow.

“Good girl,” he hums, his tip slowly enters you with an infuriating slowness that has you gripping the sheets under you. “You learned how to use your words, m’proud of you angel.” He moans as he wills himself to go slowly, he wants to savor the way you clench around him again, savor the way you gush at his gentle praise.

One twitch of your hips and you’d be completely split open, and somehow that’s what you need. You press yourself into his sheets, rocking your hips back into him with that impatience that pissed him off and made him even harder.

More.

More.

More.

You groan, your lip bitten and raw as you beg. “Ken—“

His chest still rests against your back as he litters your neck in open mouth kisses, “I know, Angel.” His teeth graze the flesh of your neck to feel you tremble under him. “Be patient for me.”

It’s so hard to obey when he’s moving so deliberately slow— drawing it out so you feel every vein, every twitch, every slight stutter of his hips when you whine into the pillow under you. You don’t know how hard it is for him not to grab a fist full of your hair and press your face into the sheets— how hard it is for him not to snap his hips into yours at such a brutal pace it gives you a lip the next day. He needs to hear you scream his name until your lungs burn and your hands cramp from clinging onto him with the last of your strength.

Next time he thinks. Next time you’ll be all alone, folded in half under him with your pretty little face staring up at him as he fucks you again and again.

“So good for me.” He moans into your ear as his hips finally meet the swell of your ass. “So good.” He bites your neck, stifling a moan as you clench around him.

Nanami kisses the pain away as he pulls out halfway and then slowly entering again. And again. And again.

The feeling of him so deep in your gut has you panting, trembling and clawing at his pillow. Your hands ache from clinging to anything you can reach, but you’re afraid if you didn’t occupy yourself you’d scream, so completely under his control it drives you insane. You’re so focused on breathing and willing yourself not to be too loud that you don’t feel one of his hands leaving your body only to wrap around your wrist, his thumb circling your skin in time with his movements.

Slow and lazy strokes turn into quick sloppy thrusts, the soft squelch of your mixed arousal becoming louder in your ears. All you can hear is Nanami’s low groans next to your ear and the subtle squeak of the bed frame and it has your head spinning.

“Ken—“ you moan, teeth imbedded in your bottom lip.

He reminds that eager little yelp in your tone even when it’s being suppressed. You’re close already. So so close.

He sneaks his other hand under you, trailing it down your stomach as the other tightens around your wrist. ďżź

Even if he can read you, he needs to know. To hear it drip from your lips and into the heated sizzling air. “What do you need? Tell me—fuck— tell me what you need.”

Your stomach flutters, ears burning and legs trembling as you whine. So high pitched and pathetic it has him reeling on top of you, his cock throbbing at the sound of pure desperation.

“M’so close— Kento please I need—fuck fuck fuck—“ you shudder as you feel the heat of his palm hovering over your clit. “Need to cum—“

His fingers hone in on your pulsing bud before the words even finish leaving your lips.

Who is he to deny you that high?

Maybe you’ve been so unknowingly pent up, or maybe you just craved his touch that much— but as soon as the rough pads of his fingers sought you out you felt your back bow, your lips tremble and you’re turning your hand palm up to intertwine your fingers with his as the coil in your gut tightens.

Nanami’s face scrunches as he feels your pussy tighten around him. You squeeze his hand, you tremble under him and moan and drool onto his pillow. His bed might’ve smelt like him this morning but tonight it drips with you. The body he’s craved ever since his eyes met yours for the very first time— his pace quickens.

“Cum for me,” he hooks his chin over your shoulder. “Please— I need you to— fuck— I need it.” He whimpers, words trembling as his fingers quicken, his hand could fall off for all he cared. He needed this. He needed you.

He’s whined before, but now in this moment it sounded so sinful. His face was so close to yours, you could feel his now damp hair touch your cheek, you could feel his breath and if you opened your eyes— see the bead of sweat trickle down the curve of his nose.

His gruff voice sounded so sweet as he begged you, pleaded with you to cum around his cock.

You nodded, frantic.

The only warning your body allows is a shiver that shoots up the base of your spine as you cum. White flashes behind your eyelids as you bite into the pillow, your teeth threaten to pop a seam as you ride our your violent high through choked sobs.

Nanami cums after you, your tight walls spasming around him as he pumps you full with a groan that hangs heavy in the sticky air.

It takes everything he has left not to collapse on top of you as he eases his way out. Leaning back he watches as his cum oozes out of you, and with gentle fingers he pushes it back in, watching the way you writhe as overstimulation knocks on your door.

With a fuzzy head you allow him to carefully lay you on your back. His hand cups your cheek as he presses a parting kiss to your forehead. You hardly register his absence till you feel him part your legs, a warm towel glides up your legs and you hum at the cozy feeling of it. The familiar comfort he brings you is something you’ve missed. Nanami takes his time cleaning you up before he urges you under the covers. You sleepily comply.

Sleepily. Who knew his dick would be your melatonin again, you think to yourself as you tuck yourself farther into his bed with a content sigh. Before sleep can fully grasp you, you feel Nanami’s strong arms pull you to his chest, his nose buried in the crook of your neck once more. It isn’t long before you fall asleep in his arms, in the pitch black of his room, in a bed that smells like black coffee and lavender, just like you used to. It’s so familiar, so inviting and whole.

Maybe your next boyfriend will be better than the last guy. In fact… maybe he’ll be just like your ex-husband.

Chapter 12: Right and Wrong

summary : In which you're isekai'd from your (own) parallel Jujutsu Kaisen universe to the canon universe.

wordcount : 2.3k

Pairing: Jujutsu Kaisen X Reader, mostly platonic, you're really just part of the story

Masterlist | Next

Sukuna finds himself walking aimlessly along the streets of Shibuya. You're in his arms, your eyes closed, fast asleep. For now, you're breathing, and that's enough. He hopes you hold on. He hopes you're using your technique subconsciously to keep yourself alive.

He's in search of a water source, a big one. A simple tap won't do anymore. He needs something bigger. Preferably a pond or a river.

The city is dead silent. A result of their Sukuna.

His carbon copy.

Who's sharing a body with Yuuji.

It makes his mind spin. Loads of questions rising to his brain. Why were Yuuji and him one? Why was his carbon copy so set on killing you? What even was going on in Shibuya? Where was that dork Gojo when you need him? Where were his classmates? Will Megumi be alright? He looked pretty roughed up against that wall after all.

Sukuna closes his eyes, taking a deep breath.

Aimless questions weren't going to solve this.

Thanks to the silence, he can finally hear a stream. Opening his eyes, he walks to the other side of the street, noting that it caves into a passage way for water. It's less clean than he'd like, but it's the only way you'll heal.

You've healed yourself on a mission in Kyoto before. He'd laid you in a bed of water back then as well, and found out your body will heal in it's subconscious too. You'll simply have to do it again.

He climbs over the fence, carefully sliding down the area, on his knees as he holds your body securely, half of it dipped in the cold water.

He can't help but blame himself that this had happened. Ever since that mission in Kyoto, where you nearly died as well, he swore to himself that he would get stronger.

Your entire life, people had been looking down on you when they were supposed to look up at you. Your clan elders cast you aside, claiming you were a blemish in their clan due to your half foreign roots and your appearance when you were only a child. The rest of the clan had been mean to you, rude to you for a long time. And when you finally developed your cursed technique, they still wouldn't accept you.

Sukuna had seen it all happen. And he hated it. First cast aside for your blood, then cast aside for your cursed technique, whilst also remaining cast aside because the friendships you held outside of the clan.

It didn't make any sense. You're a great, kind person. But all they seemed to want was weapons in the form of people.

He doesn't remember when, but he vividly remembers promising to himself that he'd be there for you. Whatever you need. He'll make sure you'll never have to be alone as long as he's alive. (He once admitted this to Yuuji, a few days back. His twin had laughed at him, and had called him a simp- Sukuna punched him.)

He doesn't realize he's lost in thought until you stir, your reverse curse technique having apparently worked it's magic.

You cough as you slowly get up in his arm, your hand pressing itself against his chest in order to stabilize yourself.

" Kuna'?-"

Sukuna releases a sign of relief, grateful that you're alive. He holds your body the slightest bit tighter, pulling you closer to him.

" You little shit. Finally, I find you, and you just go around nearly dying. Honestly, what were you thinking?"

You smile at his words, his worry concealed poorly in his words.

" I missed you too."

His hold on you is still gentle, and you melt in his warm embrace like you've done countless times before, hugging him to yourself. He relaxes, returning the gesture. Suddenly, you tense again, pulling away from him.

" Where's Yuuji?"

Sukuna raises a brow.

" I didn't know what to do or how to act, I left him to gather his thoughts."

Your eyes widen.

" Kuna! He must feel like a monster when he's innocent, we have to go join him!-"

You're quick to get out of his arms, up the ledge, looking behind you, obviously expecting him to follow.

He raises a brow, though he does follow you.

" Hold up- I have questions. What the fuck just happened? I nearly killed who I thought to be myself and he turned out to be Yuuji. What is that all about?"

You bite your lip.

Right, you should've expected that question.

" Things are a little odd, different here-"

" What? Tell me everything."

" I was getting there, You impatient nut.- Anyway, among the oddest things here there's Yuuji's situation. In this world, you were a sorcerer a thousand years ago. The most powerful one of all, you were given the name Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses. Your technique is rumored to be slicing. I didn't want to take chances in the fight we just had.."

Sukuna's eyes are wide as he looks blankly at the street in front the two of you, taking in everything you're saying.

He's never been particularly fond of Jujutsu sorcerers. Knowing that he was one in this universe a thousand years ago gives him mixed feelings. Because ew, he was a sorcerer. But also, he was the strongest one around.

You walk closer to him, linking your arm with his while you walk. You've missed walking like this, with him. It was comforting to finally have someone of your own universe again.

" Which is why you resorted to manipulating Yuuji's blood."

You nod in confirmation. You hate doing that.

" Yeah.. Ryomen Sukuna was put in 20 separate cursed objects because they couldn't kill him all those years ago. 20 fingers. Yuuji eats them and inherits his cursed energy that way. I'm not sure how many he's had so far- Either way, Ryomen Sukuna is a lunatic. He wants to kill everyone as far as I'm concerned.."

You fall silent for a moment, judging his reactions.

" What else is different here?"

" Oh. Uhm, I'm not in this universe. Megumi is nice to me and uhh... I'm not sure. That's all I think."

He hums, nodding. For a moment, it's silent between the two of you as you walk. Obviously, he's deep in thought, taking in everything you just shared with him.

" ... What would you do if this happened again?"

You glance at him, raising a brow in question.

" What?"

" When Yuuji turns into me again.... I know what Jujutsu regulations ask."

" I'm not killing him, if that's what you're asking. I don't care what regulations state. And if he ends up killing me... Well, so be it."

Sukuna hums, having expected that answer.

" What about you?"

" ...I don't think I could kill him even if I wanted you. He's my brother. "

You hum, understanding his words.

-

Nanami Kento is alive.

Sort of.

For now.

He's stepping into the metro station, his thoughts completely elsewhere.

He's always wanted to go to Malaysia. Build a cabin, spend the rest of his life away on a beach, in a cottage he might even build himself, reading away the many books he had gotten, but never had a chance to read, leaving them lying around.

Kuantan would be perfect.

Perhaps he'd invite you over.

Kamo Y/N.

Curious person. Curious cursed technique.

He couldn't help but wonder, was your cursed technique meant for killing? It was much too beautiful for that, in his opinion. He's seen you use your reverse cursed technique.

The world of Jujutsu isn't meant for you, or is it? Perhaps, you too belong on a beach, surrounded like the ocean. For some silly reason he can't explain, he feels like he knows you. Perhaps your time in his universe was meddling memories from his other life into his own, the one in your universe. He can swear he's been to places with you. That you've hung out together, like friends.

He has questions he wants to ask you. Questions about your cursed technique. Questions about your world. Questions about the him you might know. Questions about what things are like in your universe. He hasn't even gotten the chance to ask you anything yet.

However, he's tired. Exhausted even.

At this point, he's just aimlessly ripping through curses left and right.

Meanwhile, you and Sukuna find yourselves entering the metro station from another side.

" You hear that?"

You raise a brow at your best friend.

" Hear what?"

" Oh right.-"

Sukuna tends to forget that his heavenly pact increases his senses.

" There's a fight going on, a few meters in front of us.- How much cursed energy do you have left?"

" Uhm, barely anything. "

" How much reverse cursed energy?"

" More than enough to survive."

He nods, glancing around, he spots bathrooms, his eyes widen at the opportunity.

" Y/N, come."

He's tugging you along towards the bathrooms before you can resist, heading straight towards the men's restrooms.

" Woah, hold up. Ain't no way I'm going in there. I'm a woman!"

" Y/N, no one's in here. let's just fill up your water skins and go. That way you can still make use of your last bits of cursed energy."

Ignoring your complaints, he successfully tugs you in the men's restrooms. The two of you are quick to fill up your water reserves. Soon enough, to ones on your hip are full, and the one Sukuna carries with him is full as well.

Soon enough, the two of you continue on your way, only just in time to witness a horrid scene.

" You're here?"

About twenty meters in front of you, Nanami Kento is stood. Half of his body is completely charred, angry red due to the burns he suffered. Behind him, the patchface curse is stood, it's hand ghosting over his back.

You spot Yuuji's red hood on the other side of the hallway.

" Yup, this whole time. "

Both you and Sukuna move immediately.

" Kuna'! Don't let it touch you!"

Sukuna doesn't ask you to elaborate. Instead, he takes out his Chain out, the end hidden behind his back as he throws it at the curse. You don't remain still either. Focusing on the last remaining bits of your cursed energy, you focus on Nanami's blood, intending to pull his body away from the curse's touch.

Your heart stops as Nanami sighs, seemingly haven given up on himself already.

Sukuna's heart breaks as he notices the guy he recognizes as his twin brother call out softly for the other man, also rushing to the scene.

Finally, you're in range, Nanami's body swaying as you take control, at the same time, Sukuna's chain wraps around the curse's neck, about to pull him back.

" Itadori, you take it from here."

You're too late. Too slow. Perhaps both.

The curse gets flung to the side, straight into the wall by Sukuna's Chain. Nanami sways your way, but you stare in horror as his body convulses, his blood stream shattering as his skin turns blue, exploding.

For a moment, everyone is silent. Nanami's lower half falls to the floor in front of you, his blood splattering over your body. You stare at it in shock. Sukuna's eyes are wide too. One of the people he looks up to in his own universe, gone. Just like that.

The both of you get shaken out of your thoughts as Yuuji starts screaming.

" What the hell are you, Mahito?!"

" I can hear you just fine without you yelling at me! Itadori Yuuji!"

Both Yuuji and Sukuna charge at him.

Sukuna grasps at his belt loops, noticing he's missing something.

Fuck, where did his Inverted Spear of Heaven go? He doesn't linger too long on it. He'll search the streets of Shibuya later. Obviously, Yuuji has beef with this cursed spirit-man-being-thing, which means he has been with it too. Pulling his chain back, he makes way for Yuuji to break through.

However, the curse throws something Yuuji's way, a small object. It creates a wall, avoiding him from being able to reach the curse.

" Now, who are you two?"

The curse has turned to both you and Sukuna.

Sukuna's glare sharpens.

From the corner of his eye, he notices you still completely in shock over what just happened, silent tears streaming over your face as you stare blankly in front of you.

" Y/N, focus. We have to mourn later. We have to kill this thing first."

You blink, tears had already been streaming down your face, but he's right. You'll have to mourn later. Your expression hardens, and Mahito grins.

" Ah whatever. I want a real fight. You're not important because you don't even have cursed energy. And I don't know you."

Shrugging, it turns around, focusing it's full attention on Yuuji.

You glance around you, noting the situation, a new kind of stillness overtaking you.

So much blood. So many innocent people who have died at the hands of this cursed spirit.

" Sukuna. Help Yuuji. There's something I have to try."

Sukuna barely nods, and soon enough, he's closing in on the curse, Mahito, as well.

You turn around, running to opposite direction, deeper into the metro station. Perhaps, there are still people left to save,

You refuse to let Nanami Kento's death be in vain.

“Hic— where’s my wife?”

You rub your temples, as you watch your husband whine, “how much did you let him drink?”

“Let him? He was a force of his own, he—“ Ijichi cuts off when he sees your glare, balking as he panics, she’s even scarier than Gojo when she’s mad! “I’m so sorry!”

You shake your head, “it’s fine, Ijichi,” and he scurried away quickly, leaving you with your very inebriated husband. The one who had drank one sip of alcohol too many and was probably liable to misfire a hollow purple any second, “Satoru,”

You approached him and were met with the resistance of his infinity, as he sat slumped over on the booth table, “Satoru, put down your infinity—“

“No,”

“Satoru, come on, you have to stop or I can’t take you home,” and he’s shaking his head, cheeks flushed.

“No, I mean I don’t know how to,” he sighs, “the infinity is all messed up, I can’t do it,” he rubs his eyes, and you’re sighing again.

“It’s just because of the alcohol, Toru,” you sit beside him, “you can do it

His face was buried in the crook of your neck, dead weight on his two feet, as he pulled you even closer, cheeks flushed and warm from the alcohol, “why didn’t you come? You told me you were gonna pick me up,”

“No, I didn’t, you said Ijichi was going to—“ you manage to say before he’s whipping his head up, eyes sparking with blue, but lips curled in a pout, as if he wasn’t two seconds from obliterating you and the entire block.

“Do you hate me?” And his eyes nearly glow in the dark of the night, infinity flickering as you drew closer, “do you not want me to have your kids?”

Your hand finally reaches him, as you are the only one who can pierce through his defenses, “first of all l, I would be the one having your kids, weirdo,” your fingers cup his cheek, thumbing away his tears, “and how could I ever hate my husband?”

He blinks at you, “You’re married?” And you have to bite back your laugh at his affronted expression, “to who? I’ll hollow purple them!”

You snort, “Well he has light hair, blue eyes, and is drunk off his ass,”

He blinks, furrowing his brow, “Nanami?” And you laugh, before kissing him hard. You can taste the alcohol on his lips still, mixed with the aftertaste of sugar and chocolate he had at the bar most likely.

“Get it now?” And he grins, nodding, as he hangs all over you as you get him into the car with you, leaning against you as you drive home.

“So you’re gonna leave your husband for me?”

“…I might, if you ever drink again.”
