Hello there!(yes me again haha,sorry,,,) I m just curious, if the Egg Eaters saw a dragon just snatch an abandonded egg away just before them, how would they react? Chase after or try in different ways to get the desired egg?

Yeah, they would chase them down! What if you [ not so legally shoplifted] a really delicious limited-edition pub-sub that could give you superpowers. Like just a really bangin' sandwich. Just to have some stranger come along and yoink it?

Sure, if they were alone it may go differently:

Matthias: Hypocritically, Matthias hates thieves. He would give chase and deliver a scathing lecture, before resoundly beating them to a pulp. That egg would be shared with his 'family' later, and he'd feel pretty good about himself.

Okira: Okira would be shocked for a moment before deciding it was simply fate that he not eat that day. He'd promptly return home and proceed to not tell anyone of the incident. No need to work anyone up over a lost egg.

Via: Shocked and indignant! Who would take her egg like that? She NEEDS it! She would chase for a little bit, but Via's no hunter, and the foliage/ terrain would prove too much. She would be sure to tell Khoga and Matthias ALL about it when she got back though.

Khoga: She would definitely pursue, though she would stalk them, relying on her superior olfactory senses to track them down. Once found, Khoga would easily swipe the egg, perhaps leaving the thief paralyzed or in a deep slumber via one of her potions.

Rannoch: Anyone who touches her food may as well already be dead. She would absolutely made a deal out of it back at the camp, even bringing back a 'trophy' to carry as warriors do. Boastful, isn't she?

Honestly I’m like suuuuper tempted to make my own lore for dragons who eat eggs. Your egg eaters have been very inspiring because I really love their lore!! A lot of the time I end up thinking “oh god that’s so sick and horrible. I need more of it!” XD

With the personalized nature of the effects of Egg Eating, there are endless possibilities for character creation. It'd be a shame if some truly incredible ideas went totally unwritten. I say, go right ahead! Go nuts, and be as creative as possible!

I adore @hypergryph ‘s egg eaters. They’re such well written characters with interesting backstories and motivations. Since I recently redesigned another dragon of mine, Maksviah, I decided to do a little doodle featuring two of them, just for fun.

It seems Matthias has accidently stumbled upon her hidden nest. Best get out of there soon. Maksviah’s very protective of her egg, especially after the loss of her previous ones.

So I'm not sure if this has been asked yet but I've been wondering. I noticed you don't seem to mind if other people make egg eater dragons but do you mind if people take your base lore idea (egg eating causing magic mutations in general) and make a different version of it? I've been thinking about writing something of my own about it but I worry it just comes across as copying.

Ah, yeah. I don't want my stuff outright stolen, but I also think people should partake in the fun(as long as it doesn't outright erase the artist, ya know?)

I've found that being transparent about your inspirations is the best way to go. If you worry about something being too close, you could always put an "inspired by" disclaimer. I've seen that done with AU's that are similar, and even businesses that are influenced by other mainstream ideas(think Pokemon vs Nexomon, or those sculptors that sell cool collectable creatures). That way you can be creative as you like and won't be accused of stealing, while my idea can still be seen by others. Pretty win-win!
