The only reason I'm not embracing this book right now is because I'm broke.

Jokes aside tho, female psychology has been neglected since forever so I think this book will be something big and help woman understand themselves and perhaps be able to live without so much shame, at least in the sense that if it happens so often people will start questioning "why" instead of shaming us.

My theory is that reading it gives us a certain power. We read because we want to, we decide to, no one forces us, we can stop it at any moment, we have a choice. But that is just a theory since as mentioned before not many have bothered to study women so deeply.

I just got ahold of your book. I haven't gotten through it just yet, but I felt like I had to share this already!

I loved your deep dive into the reasoning behind enjoying stories/fantasies with such dark themes and dynamics. I agree with every theory. It made me feel less shameful? guilty? about enjoying such content. I've had people in my daily life express how it goes against my entire personality/beliefs to enjoy it. So thank you for including that 🫶

Secondly, I had the biggest brain boner/intellectual crush on a professor of mine back in my undergraduate studies named Dr. Moore... I'm about to enjoy this so much. 🫣

I'm so glad you're enjoying it!!!

It's not something I've spoken about in the promotional posts, but aside from taboo erotica, I really wanted to use the book as a platform to explore and discuss the psychological aspects of why so many women have these dark sexual fantasies in the first place.

I feel it's something that isn't talked about enough and, therefore, is often misunderstood, which leads to the emotions you're referring to—confusion, guilt, shame, and even self-disgust and hatred.

We feel there must be something wrong with us for fantasizing about noncon/dubcon, misogyny, subjugation, similar or other taboos. It goes against all our core beliefs and wishes, so it makes no apparent sense for such fantasies to turn us on, and still, they do.

While many want to suppress that arousal and reject it for fear that it means something must be wrong with them, I think it would be much more proactive and healthy to face it and its actual reasons why, which are plentiful, natural, and much more common than you think.

It's a big focus in the book. The foreword talks mainly about the reasons why females often fantasize about noncon/dubcon and sadomasochistic sex. But there's so much more I felt was important to go through! And so, after every erotic thriller, I've left an additional little author's note divulging the fetishes and kinks related to that fantasy in particular, where I try to clear up the taboo and erase that shame and self-loathing one might feel about indulging in them.

Can't wait for you to read the rest! Hope you enjoy it!
