note | This is a little short oneshot based on Tae Tae’s cooking in the BTS Run episodes! Sorry it took so long! It’s been delayed for a couple weeks now, but it’s finally out. Loud clashes of pots and pans rudely stir you awake from your deep, peaceful slumber. Small strips of sunlight peeked through the curtains of your bedroom, leaving little streams of light on the bed. The birds chirping outside the bedroom window sang and the left side of your bed was bare. The only thing left behind were ruffled marks of a good night’s rest scattered across the bed.

You open your eyes and smile gently to yourself, the smooth bed sheets have a comfortable cool feeling against your skin. You move your hands over your eyes, rubbing the tiredness away. The noisy commotion outside your room ceases to disturb your morning and a quiet yawn escapes your mouth as you stretch your body. The muscles of your body were sore and ached from the position you had slept in, making it harder for you to move. Your legs rub together and unintentionally pull down your blanket to expose your soft skin. You sit up and reach for your phone to check the time, pulling your blanket around you once again to provide you warmth.

10: 24 am

Now what was your boyfriend, a man who does not wake up till at least 11: 30 am, doing in the kitchen at 10: 24 am instead of in bed showering you with morning kisses? You toss your phone back on the bed and sit there, enjoying the blissful atmosphere.

It takes you a couple seconds to think of any particular reason why he would be up this early. Did he suddenly have work? Why was he in the kitchen though? Was he washing the dishes that you asked him to clean last night? You let out a massive moan this time as you rub your eyes again, tiredly.

You hear a sizzling sound coming from your kitchen and smell the strong scent of meat that travels to your bedroom, making you whiff the air again in desire. Your eyes widen when you realize what he was doing, or rather what he did. Your boyfriend, Kim Taehyung, had cooked you breakfast? Was he finally going to show off his cooking skills? You were pulled away from your thoughts when the man of the hour arrived, stealing your attention instantly.

So here you were, month three of minimal contact with the outside world, sitting on the couch you may as well call your home within a home.

You learned very quickly that Facebook was definitely not the app of choice to pass time on, seeing as you only ended up angry at the amount of bad takes visible within the first 5 minutes of browsing. No, you chose to favour Instagram instead, seeing as you could just scroll through food porn, beautiful people, and memes for hours on end.

If you’ve watched the movie Hercules you’ll-” Professor Song’s voice becomes drowned out by the snort that comes from your left. You roll your eyes before craning your neck forward to keep listening to the lecture. You’ve always had an affinity to mythology of any kind since you were a child but, as you grew up Greek mythology stood out the most to you. You became enamored with it and decided to become a mythologist. You’ve heard of these tales countless times but you could always hear them once more.

A cough comes from next to you as you listen to the tale of Hephaestus and you roll your eyes once more before putting your hand underneath your chin. You jot down notes dutifully before looking up as Professor Song begins to wrap up the class. “For the last portion of your grade, you will all be assigned to work with a partner. The theme of your project is Graceful Gods, a study on partnerships between the gods and goddesses. You may choose whichever two gods and goddesses you may like that have had a connection with one another. Now, this doesn’t mean to watch Hercules a bunch of times and comment on those relationships between cartoons.” 

The class erupts into small giggles and you find yourself snorting at the lame joke. “Since I know that most of you cannot put yourselves together properly, looking at you Haeyun and Jowoon-” You giggle at his call out before paying attention again, “-you will all work with the person directly next to you at your tables.” Your eyes glance over to the long haired boy by next to you and you inwardly groan.
