Day 2 : Intense Training/Sparring with friends

I didn't have the energy to write a whole thing about this so I drew it (with my meagre art talent - I'm aware its poor at best XD )

I wanted something really angsty but I didn't have enough time or energy to plan it properly.

Discription and an extra scene below (sparring with friends)!

What's happening here? :

1 - Bart hears grunting and what sounds like speach, coming from Kyborg's room. It sounds like he's training, but he's talking to himself as well.

2 - Inside, Kyborg has discarded his quiver after some target practice, and is now doing pull-ups on his bar. His hair is tied back into a ponytail, with two plaits running from his temples all the way through the ponytail (I told you, his hair gets in everything I do, its the law)

3 - Bart and Gum Gum have come to check on Kyborg. They push his door open to find him doing one-armed push ups, with his prosthetic arm to the side.

After this :

Bart, Gum Gum, Kyborg and Mudd all have a discussion about how training is very good but pushing yourself too much isn't.

B : you can always train with us y'know

K : I know, I just like to do it alone sometimes.

M : just don't push yourself too much, we still need you fully functioning mate,

GG : we can all do it together

K : you got it buddy,

A bit later Mudd and Kyborg are sat outside looking at the stars. Mudd is listening to the animals and Kyborg is absent-mindedly plaiting a small section of his hair.

M : *staring into the distance* you don't have to be training to have a moment alone.

K : I know...

M : we've all been through stuff, we get it.

K : Yeah, thanks.

M : you wanna go for a round around the ring tommrorow?

K : sure, just be ready to be absolutely throttled. You're facing Kyde- Kyborg the MIGHTY!

Mudd smiles a small smile as Kyborg jumps up and waves goodbye to him. Maybe he would get through one day.

Headcannon - Mudd and Kyborg are opposites in how they connect with people. Mudd is very happy just existing next to someone. He likes his quiet time and doesnt mind if the people he cares about join him for that quiet time.

Kyborg on the other hand can not stand silence. He grew up alone in the woods and would talk to himself to fill the silence of nature. He really does try for Mudd tho but it is genuienly so uncomfortable to sit in silence and do parallel play for Kyborg. He just cant. But he really does try and Mudd really does try to talk more when Kyborg is around cause, for as much as they dont show it, they still care for each other and want to connect

Bart: “hi I’m Bart and I raised a kid when I was 8 because neither of us had parents and I brought the bowl”

Mudd: “Hi I’m mudd and my memory got wiped by a bunch of rocks and I’m bringing the dirt”

Gum Gum “Hi, im gum gum and my mom is a god and I’m bringing the gum”

Kyborg “hi I’m kyborg and my entire village got murdured and my arm got chopped off by quadron and I brought the sour patch kids”

Bart “hi I’m Bart again and my parents got taken by a shadow queen and I brought the skittles”

Mudd “hi I’m mudd and my mentor tried to kill me and my dad and I brought more dirt”

Gum gum “hi I’m gum gum and one time I ate a worm and it was really wriggly and scary and I brought the skittles”

Kyborg “hi I’m kyborg and I spent 30 years in a forest without any other people mourning my family and i brought the gummy worms”

Gum gum : “ WORMS?!”

Kyborg “yeah???”

Bart “didn’t you know gum gum is afraid of worms?”

Kyborg “no?”

Gum gum “ BART HELP THE WORMS ARE COMING TO ATTACK ME” * starts running around and swinging his axe*

Bart “Don’t worry they’re just candy, see” *eats a gummy worm*

“ NOW THEY’RE GOINF TO KILL BOTH OF US!!!MUDD YOU KNOW ANIMALS, HELP!!!!”

Bart “don’t worry buddy, I’m fine”

Mudd *eats a gummy worm and then turns into a worm*

Gum gum “ OH MY GOODNESS MUDD HAS BEEN TURNED INTO ONE OF THEM”

Kyborg *stunned*

Happy kyborg Week!!!

To start it off, since I don’t have any stuff to post yet, I’m just going to share some of my headcannons 

• since he never really had time to experiment with his appearance or clothes as a kid, he wouldn’t really know what to wear when he was done adventuring, so he would go on shopping trips with Bart of brink to try to find his style and eventually settle into the shorts or cargo pants/jeans, t shirts, boots and maybe a cloak when it got to cold.

• he would definitely love the cold and call anyone who couldn’t handle the cold weak, and try to show how much he loved the cold, by wearing t shirts and shorts whenever he went somewhere particularly cold, but after a bit of time living in Bolduray, he would start to get cold more easily but he would still refuse to show it

•he would be the least picky eater ever and just eat anything that was given to him no matter what it was

• he would get closer to Fred after the adventures were over, and when Fred died he would get ferrets because he seems like a ferret guy

•he would be really helpless about having pets in the beginning though, and whenever his pets made any noise of sadness(like a hunger whine or whatever foxes and badgers do) then he would just go “what do you want” either really loudly or kind of sadly

•he would eventually get the hang of it though, and he would let his ferrets ride around on him and maybe even build them things to move around/climb on

• he also feels like he could be dyslexic and I don’t know why

• he would still love reading though, and he would also like when people read out loud, and sometimes on their adventures, Bart would tell stories to him and Gum Gum about his travels or just things he made up, and Mudd would sometimes tell stories but he would also just knit happily

•he would also really like fire and think it’s really cool but also be really scared of it

• he would be the most obvious person ever but only about things that involved him, like someone could be flirting with him, and it could be so obvious that that person was flirting that a 5 year old could realize it, and he would just think the person was being friendly but if someone subtlety tried to flirt with Mudd, he would make fun of him for the rest of the day
