Part of the appeal of Edwin Payne is that there is a 0% chance he would believe in ghosts if he weren't one. Like, he definitely was the type to write seances off as hocum when he was alive and come up with reasonable, rational explanations for seemingly inexplicable phenomena. If someone told him ghosts were real, he would be all, "do not be silly" and do the Little Head Tilt.
