It's not a hyperfixation If I spend every waking moment thinking about *several* shows instead of just one.

I Am Not Prepared For The Possibility That We're Gonna Get To See Ruby Have An Actual Full Conversation
I am not prepared for the possibility that we're gonna get to see Ruby have an actual full conversation with some dream/vision/memory version of her mother.
I am even less prepared if we then get a post credit scene of Summer in whatever state she's in now, back on Remnant.

Ah yes, the classic "how dare you not know something other people are actively trying to keep from you" criticism.
I'm sure these people who criticized Robyn for stealing from rich to give to the poor would've been totally chill, and not at all crazy, about her having one of her teammates sneak into a classified area and steal military secrets.

You know, sometimes you might think that it's a bad thing for fandom spaces to reject people critical of the work, but that's probably because you've never been part of a fandom where the "critical" voices are genuinely fucking awful people.
Not to mention that our wonderful 'critic' has completely neglected to mention that Robyn didn't actually oppose the Amity project. She opposed the secrecy, the unilateral power that Ironwood held, and the sacrificing of Mantle's safety for the sake of the project; but not the actual idea itself.
But Robyn doesn't know about the Amity project, not until Yang and Blake decide to tell her. All she knows is that the paranoid man in control of the military and the huntsman academy, who has been taking increasingly authoritarian control of her city, has a secret project out on the tundra and almost nobody knows what it is, and those that do are refusing to talk to her.
"Her actions stop a project that we all know to be a positive one for the entire world of remnant. What we have here is Robyn opposing authority to no actual positive effect gained,"
Yep, Robyn was opposing something that would have benefitted the world... because she didn't know what it was, it was depriving her people of resources with no explanation, and she was constantly given reasons to distrust the person in charge of it.
Wow... its almost like Ironwood's paranoia and secrecy was unecessarily making enemies out of people who could've been a big help. Almost like that's a character flaw of his. Almost like "choising to trust others" is a major theme of the volume or something.
Crazy.

I feel like the biggest piece of evidence for this is that Raven has made, to the best of my memory, zero comments about Qrow's semblance.
You'd think given their propensity for getting under each others skin there would've been a jab about it thrown out by Raven at some point, but no.
There is an argument that for all their sniping at each other the twins have certain lines and topics for the other that they simply won't cross. Which is fair, but you would think that rule would only apply in direct conversation with each other. Raven doesn't even bring it up when trying to convince Yang to stay.
The easiest explanation for why Raven never makes jabs at Qrows semblance is, in my mind, that she doesn't see it as a negative thing.
To Raven the cloud that always hung over Qrow's head was the safest place in her world.
i just can't get over the fact that qrow has a semblance that makes him keep his distance, especially from his family, and raven has a semblance that allows her to go straight to her brother whenever she wants.
like. fuck. y'all can't convince me being around qrow wasn't a safe place for raven when they were kids; her semblance is excellent for getting out of a tough spot and i bet there were a lot of those living with bandits, who wouldn't dare go near qrow because he's """cursed"""—being with qrow was the safest place on remnant for raven, no matter how much qrow thought it was the least.
Why I've no idea what you mean, Ironwood was totally willing to compromise.
Willing to compromise Atlas security and Penny's free will by working with Watts.
Willing to compromise on allowing Mantle to get torn apart by the grimm rather than just blowing it up himself.
Truly he was making compromises left and right, while Ruby and Robyn were being totally unreasonable by not compromising at all on their stance of...

Not abandoning a city full of people to die.
