I SIT AND WATCH YOU

The way societies constantly adultify young girls -especially young Black, Brown, and Indigenous girls but REFUSE to hold young boys accountable. These 13 and 14 year old's knew what they were doing when they created deep fakes, which isn't a new issue -but a persistent, systemic issue that disproportionately affects young girls and women. This is online sexual harassment and violence -and there needs to be MORE legislation to protect people from this.
These boys are predatory and I hope they carry the burden of having done something this despicable for the rest of their lives. If you actually cared about young girls and women there would be more interventions in the first place -to challenge and dismantle rape culture during health and sex education -or wherever you can fit it into the curriculum in early middle school. Because believe it or not, boys as young as 10 have access to the internet and sometimes in ways that are boundless -and they see Sneako, Andrew Tate, manosphere content about 'alpha males' and 'high-value women.' They learn to see women as objects -as sexual objects. This is serious and causes harm, and must be spoken about because it does cause an impact, terribly so.
Also, if you haven't watched the documentary series/TV mini series called The Most Hated Man On The Internet and know who Hunter Moore is -he is the one who created and profited off of exploiting and ruining women's lives on his revenge pornography site (this disgusting excuse of a human pioneered this violence), and I highly recommend watching it if the content itself it not triggering for you, of course. But this is just the tip of the iceberg because uploading ANY content meant to cause harm to someone should have consequences -and I have zero sympathy for those young boys.
