I was a committed and diligent teacher, and my husband, Ayman Olwan, 30 years old, is a business administration graduate, but due to unemployment and difficult conditions in Gaza, he was forced to work as a fisherman. We have a wonderful son named Hamoud, who is one and a half years old. they truly could never make me hate piper mclean.. like so many people hate her because she’s a pick me and she’s “obsessed” with jason but they don’t take into account how complex she really is!!

women of color, specifically native women, are constantly masculinized and invalidated, so no wonder piper took all the discrimination she faced (especially from the girls who would be racist to her!!) and channeled it into internalized misogyny. from piper’s perspective, her mother has done nothing good for her whole life, aphrodite’s only caused chaos for her. she was told aphrodite just abandoned her and her father, so why would she want to be anything like her??

to piper, femininity only has negative connotations. aphrodite, the girls who used to bully her, her own femininity in the eyes of society as a native woman…

ALSO drew defenders are so quick to villainize piper and say she “tried to tell drew how to cope with silena’s death” when piper quite literally didn’t. she simply stuck up against drew’s mistreatment of her siblings. PLUS DREW WAS ALREADY SO RUDE TO PIPER RIGHT OFF THE BAT!! as soon as she got to camp, drew started in on her for no reason!!

as well, piper is just as much a victim of hera’s manipulation as jason is. she had her memories messed up and then told that everything she remembers about her boyfriend is just fake. like obviously she’d be in denial and trying to convince herself that her relationship with jason was real!!

and honestly, i can’t help but empathize and favor piper because she reminds me so much of myself. she’s a teenage girl who thought she finally got with the guy she’d been crushing on for months… god forbid a girl is a little boy crazy😭😭 i wish people cut teenage girl characters more slack
