Universal credit is needlessly complicated and give themselves a lot of opportunities to where they’ll stall the process or bend over backwards to give you even a little less money. I feel like these welfare-esque systems forget what they’re fucking for… If you have to get an advance on the credit so u can have money for food+rent before the five weeks it takes to process the request at all, then why should you need to pay back the money u got during that advancement. The whole point is that they are meant to be giving u money to live my god why are they deducting that- I’m going to destroy the government
