Late night thinking pt 1/?

He had the kind of beauty that could only be found in those broken greek statues.

The kind where they're always reaching for something yet they are tragically frozen in place, unable to move, unable to reach that goal they dream of. Yet to everyone else they look beautiful, almost angelic.

Eggs: egg fried rice or eggy bread, anything else makes me feel sick.

Steak: not bothered as long as it aint raw or burnt, so probably medium.

Milk: again not bothered, usually whatever's in the fridge lol, so semi skimmed. i guess.

Alcohol: havent tried any, closest thing to alcohol is bitter shandy and ginger beer, highly recommend those, delish. (they're just fizzy drinks)

Warm drink: always love a good cuppa (tea) no sugar tho. hot chocolate's nice too. but @xi1dius cup-a-soup is not a fucking drink, it is a crime against god.

Im not quite sure what this is but I've been listening to some really depressing music so that what im blaming this on. The first chapter of immortal souls is in the works

Two peas in pod, eh?

Currently, those peas were listening to ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’. Both had one Apple Wired Headphone in — humming along to the tune. It played round and round in one of those poor pea's heads, yours.

The other pea was gently dapping your fresh bruises and cuts with a little tissue found in your back pocket. It had been drenched in water from a local dip in the road outside the local bar, one that seemed to always house the most massive and annoyingly placed puddle ever.

It was the best you had and were going to get it, and it cleaned up your blood reasonably well. Of course, you’d have to use the two-year-old hand sanitizer that sat on your Form room teachers' desk when school started. . . Forty-five minutes ago. 

How where either of you meant to know anyway? Not like you had a watch or a working phone on either of you.

It stung like hell, your stone blue eyes going over Simons Simon's face. Slowly, slowly, raking over the large faded bruises along the left side of his face, the turning green bruise that ran down the side of his nose. It was all too familiar for your liking and no doubt he felt the same about the marks left on your body.

The sun was ever so slowly creeping up in the clouded sky — it was mid-winter England, An absolutely boiling hot November day of a whopping four degrees! Yay!

And, of course, in classic British style, you were both wearing short sleeve T-shirts, old and fraying hoodies and you were in a pair of shorts and Simon a pair of unwashed and dirty jeans.

“Thanks, old man.” You giggled lightheartedly, leaning your head back a bit as Simon held the back of your head, now wiping underneath your left eye to clean a little slit you’d gotten from god knows where.

“I’m a year and a half older then you, shortstack. but you’re welcome.”

I know i should be writing my other fics but...i got a new idea so here, have some scraps

Simon and you who were bonded a long time ago, long before kings and knights. You spent your childhood together and grew up eating fruits off of trees from strangers land and it wasn't long until love blossomed just as the flowers on the trees did

However, flowers dont last forever and neither does love...or does it?

War breaks out in your small and isolated haven, both you and Simon tried to escape but the enemy was relentless.

it wasn't long until you sat there on the mossy bed of the forest, the smoke of your village being set ablaze slowly inching closer just as the claws of death were grasping for you and simon.

Unfortunately for you it turns out you're immortal, you dont know how and dear god you've tried to find out how.

Whatever cruel curse had been put upon you and simon that night, it took a while for you to figure it out but you seem to be immortal while Simon....simon wasn't, but don't fret, he got revived eventually. However his memories were long gone, barely being lost in time because you cling so desperately to them.

And now you stood in front of your one and only true love, time to relieve this hearwrenching cycle until the cruel gods take mercy on your human souls. Except...it's no longer your Simon, it's ghost now, even more broken than the last incarnation you saw of him. He speaks up, oh how accents have changed over time.

Random one piece headcannons

I know I should be working on the two fics I decided to start but...shhh

Zoro has green eyelashes. Just something about it makes sense and it would look pretty cool

Zoro uas definitely lost feeling in his feet after he tried to slice the buggers off...in the moment it may have seemed like a good idea but now he has feet of steel. Others on the crew are worried but he likes the advantage of having less feeling in them. Realistically this could affect his balance but if we say it's just slight damage to the point where he cant really feel the pain or temperature on his feet then he'd probably be happy about it.

Nami has scars and remnants of hours the arlong tattoo underneath the new one. Because did you see how she was going at it? ain't no way she's got no scars. And as for the tattoo, i don't know what kinda magic they've got in that world to remove tatoos so perfectly in one go but I like the idea that it's there but really faded like a reminder as well as the scars.

Luffy has stretch marks....my guy has stretched so much and I know its his devil fruit and all but there'd scenes where he can only reach so far. So if he does that often (stretching himself as far as he can go and then trying to go too far) he should surely have stretch marks.

Luffy probably had bite mark scars, like he fully chompin on those thumbs like he's Eren Yeager, he has some teeth scars and I ain't listening to criticism on this

im writing a fic. ghost (COD) x reader (probs gonna be male or gn but with like male in mind if that makes sense? like neutral pronouns but it might seem masculine in a way)

It's mostly going to be in the POV of the reader but what should i do when a character talks to them?

something to add with the whole food motivation, yknow the ark when the crew are on an island full of bounty hunters that are literally tricking them and trying o kill them?

He legit fights his own second in command...because they fed him. Like, he full on ignores anything zoro is saying and is fighting him and getting all pissed off because they gave him food so they definitely cant be trying to hurt them.

i dunno if thats because luffy is just oblivious or what but he is definitely motivated by food lol

Luffy not wanting to be viewed as a hero is actually so important to me. Because while the first reasoning we get for this is him not wanting to share his food

We also learn later on that Luffy also doesn't want to be viewed as a savior, nor does he ever want to present himself as such. He doesn't want to be placed on a pedestal or (ironically) be deified by the people he helps.

At the end of Fishman island, he was fully ready to leave without fanfare because he did not want to be treated by the people in that way, and only agrees to stay because he is promised food. The same thing happens at the end of Wano, where he refuses to take any credit for the downfall of Kaido and instead simply enjoys the festival with everyone else.

I cannot overstate how much I love this decision for Luffy as a character. It is incredibly common for stories like Fishman Island and Wano to have the main character swoop in and save the oppressed people, with said character being to sole person to rally them and "teach" them how to fight back. We don't get that with Luffy.

In Fishman Island, he tells the people that its up to them to decide whether or not he is their friend or foe instead of swooping in playing the role of the hero. In Wano, he understands to importance of who begins the fight with Kaido, and stands back to let the Red Scabbards (Wano natives) get the first major hit on Kaido

Even in the prison when Luffy gives his speech, he is asking the people to let him help, to have faith that they and their country can be free again, to fight for the freedom that had been cruelly stripped away from them. And even then, it is Momo and members of the Red Scabbards that fully restore the Udon prisoners faith.

Hell, we even see this all the way back in Arlong Park, where Luffy waits to take action until Nami asks him for help. He doesn't come in guns blazing and save her like some sort of white knight, but instead waits for Nami's go ahead, placing the power in her hand.

It's just such a refreshing way of seeing a protagonist in this type of story be portrayed. To have him understand the importance of the people he fight's side by side with, and not place himself as the fixer of all problems, but rather as an aid to these people (often times an aid that they explicitly asked for). It actively rejects the white savior/white knight trope(s) and allows for the people native to the island to have agency in these large battles instead of being sidelined. It is their lives and stories that are centered as being the most important in these moments, and Luffy is simply there to help them.

A short snippet of that fic

it's probably gonna take me a bit since i want to do some proper research into what cars and bikes but here's a little snippet, this might not make it into the final draft though.

The white light from the streetlights illuminate the road while the thunderous sounds of engines fill the air. One one side of you there's your fellow biker, her electric blue streaks popping in the dark of the night, on the other side of you there's a car. You glance over curiously which is when you notice....it's ghost...the fucking masked bastard who always wins, well not for long if you have anything to do about it. You grin under your helmet as you lean over, tapping the window of his car. He looks over and for a moment you think he has no eyes. bloody hell, his eyes were almost soulless. You shake that thought away, grinning under your helmet as you raise your hand and make a 'professional' and 'mature' gesture (you made the wanking gesture)

CHOPPER

(This one is intended as platonic because, well...bros a reindeer.)

You got incredibly lucky finding this guy, no matter what time you joined the crew. Since chopper is a doctor he definitely feels like a blessing. As soon as he found out about your allergies he started his research (if he didn't already know about it). Finds a cure or a medicine to help with the symptoms and reactions for your allergies. This precious doctor even warns the other crew about what you can't have near you.

In return for his kindness you are now his designated hiding spot for when shit goes down.

LUFFY

He was definitely curious as to why you were constantly taking medicine or having to stay with chopper since you were unwell. Eventually he just outright asked what was wrong with you. He didn't get it at first but once he did he responded with...let's say an interest?

He loudly makes sure that whenever everyone's eating that the food (if you're allergic to a food) is nowhere near you, but let's be honest he probably eats it before it gets even a metre from you, saying something like "I was just keeping Y/ N safe!" when someone complains about their food being stolen. However, if you're allergic to a specific animal or item he makes sure it non-existent on his ship.

NAMI

Just like luffy she makes sure the allergen (the thing you're allergic to) is nowhere to be found. Since you mean so much to her she'd be willing to part with some money to pay for medicines or doctors if chopper couldn't help (luckily for nami thats a rare chance).

If you have a food allergy this man is catering to your every need, making new recipes or even a completely different dish to the rest of the crew if needs be. Oh, you like spaghetti but you're allergic to pasta? Bam, special pasta you're not allergic to, just for you. He can and probably will fight luffy to keep him away from your special food.

If youre allergic to something that isn't food his dramatic ass would probably follow you around in new places to make sure it's not anywhere near you. (and if this gets annoying just give him a compliment, he'll pass out from blood loss and leave you in peace)

USSOP

When you're allergies are bad and it leaves you bed ridden, sniffling or coughing, he'll tell you stories just like he did with kaya. You'll be laying in bed, cursing your allergies while trying to not break your ribs from laughing at ussops silly tales. He always makes you feel much better.

ZORO

He probably didn't even know what an allergy was lmao. Maybe he thought it was some sort of pest (close enough)

If youre allergic to food we already know sanji will be making sure you're safe but zoro is definitely jealous that he can't do anything about it....unless.... if you guys are on a new island and you're not sure if your food has your allergen in it, zoro is the first to offer his help (well, it was luffy first but we all know what would happen).

If your allergen isn't food, just like sanji, he's following you around but he's definitely more of a silent protector compared to sanji. A plant you're allergic to in your path? not on his watch, it's cut down before you can even think of how to get around it.

Asahi

I feel like this guy would be warm. Not like the melting you from the outside inwards but like a campfire or a fireplace. He wouldn't move if you were with him, he wouldn't dare. He'd hold you tightly but he'd be so careful. Definitely panicked the first time you guys cuddled or fell asleep together. But once he got used to it he turned into a big cuddle bear.

Daichi

To me he seems like he'd sleep like a rock. After such a tiring day with the team he'd just flop onto the bed next to you and not move, like seriously you've probably had to poke him to check he was still alive.

He'd have and arm around you or he'd be leaning on you, either way once this man is asleep it's gonna be a pain to get out. why would you want to anyways?

Hinata

We all know that he's a ray of sunshine in both optimism and energy. cuddling/sleeping with him can go one of two ways

Since he's hyperactive this could carry on into his sleep. He's definitely smacked you a few times thinking you were a volleyball in his dream. Maybe even stolen the blanket a few times. He obviously apologies if you tell him in the morning

OR. He could be all tuckered out, kinda like a sugar crash but instead of a grumpy child you get a droopy hinata (almost the same thing) coming towards you with open arms, dragging you to bed or just leaning on you right then and there if he's really exhausted. He'd definitely use you as a giant pillow and just bury his face anywhere he can. neck? no problem. chest, whether it be flat or with melons? sure he can.

Kageyama

He may not seem it with his resting bitch face but he's definitely a cuddler. He'd definitely be more like daichi, calm and barely moving, unless it was to make you mire comfortable, but let's be honest he probably dreams about volleyball just like hinata and once again...you have been mistaken for a volleyball. Prepare for a bruise.

Im leaning towards him being a big spoon but maybe if he had a bad game or practice he'd want to be comforted, but either way his arms will be around you.

Nishinoya

This man is definitely a blanket theif. Just like hinata, he's a ball of energy and moves SO much while sleeping, not only does his arms flail about but theres a few kung fu moves going on there with his legs. You've definitely woken up with bruises and a leg across your chest while he sleeps like an angel.

If there is a rare occasion where he's not moving he's clinging onto you like a koala, legs around your waist or legs, arms around your torso and head on either your stomach or chest.

Tsukishima

This salty little shit probably isn't very keen on cuddles, but just for you. He'd have an arm around you loosely, maybe even pulling you closer while he's asleep. I feel like he'd be pretty cold (not just in attitude) so he'd be a great icepack for the summer but during winter you'll have to cocoon yourself in a blanket before cuddling up to him. Once you're asleep he's probably secretly affectionate, a few soft head pats while you're completely off in dream land.
